We had good weather but in the evenings the house felt cold and we never managed to sort out the heating. The 2 in the double room developed a chest problem which cleared immediately we came home, this was because the room felt cold and damp overnight. Also the water in the double room shower didn't always manage 2 showers in the morning with hot water. In addition, the garden is now so overgrown, the sun doesn't get to the grass and table so we didn't manage to eat outside despite the lovely weather. Otherwise, everything was fine. An enjoyable holiday in a lovely part of snowdonia Vimal (30 June 2017)
Fantastic location and lovely cottage. We would definitely go again and recommend it. Daniel from Ramsgate (19 June 2017)
A comfortable cottage for four, particularly with the two bathrooms. All that we needed in the way of kitchen amenities was provided, and the location gave us easy access to local shops and walks. Betwys y coed is a beautiful village in itself, and very pleasant to just wander around..the many shops selling hiking/trekking equipment proved to be a valuable source for three of us. The only minor problem was driving into and leaving the site, which, with access being narrow and on a blind corner, is tricky! otherwise we can thoroughly recommend tyn y ffynnon for a most enjoyable holiday. David from Australia (05 June 2017)
We all loved our stay here. Perfect location for all of the hiking/photography that our group wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again when we visit north wales again. Highly recommended Confirmed Guest (24 April 2017)
The cottage was well equipped with a good layout. It was an excellent location for visiting snowdonia. There were great walks from the door. Kirsty from Thurston (07 April 2017)
Excellent location. Close to the pont y pair inn serving lovely home cooked food. The dragon is a good take away and the amenities of betws are within an easy walk. Marie from Ramsbottom (02 December 2016)
Great location. Difficult to find key safe if driving to the back of the property, as it is not immediately obvious that you have to follow path round to front of property. Susan from Birmingham (28 November 2016)
Looks a little tired at the end of a long season. We would stay here again but it could benefit from a few touch ups here and there. Kirsty from Devon (21 October 2016)
Very god cottage served our purpose well for attempting all 15, 3,000ft peaks. cloud base at 700m, rain, very strong winds (70mph on tops) meant we only managed 10 peaks. good for drying out wet gear. lots of space, warm and cosy. could do with new, firmer mattresses. exit onto main road needs care. Steve from North Norfolk (30 September 2016)
Good location but not as clean as other cottages that we have stayed in, cobwebs, mould in shower, damp smell and bedding smelt damp. Bed creaky and frame dirty, no soap, no washing up liquid and limited kitchen utensils. A good location but in need of work to make this a suitable cottage for renting out. Jeremy from Bristol (23 September 2016)
Great little cottage. Excellent location to discover notth wales Andrew from Bath (09 September 2016)
Lovely cottage with good facilities in a great location. Only problem was damp and toilet leaked. . road to car park not the best, would not like to have a bigger car Confirmed Guest from Only Problem Was Damp And Toilet Leaked. (26 August 2016)
Brilliant and relaxing break. Location is perfect and you have so much to do in the surrounding area. Glen from Leeds (19 August 2016)
Comfortable cottage, however rear garden small, front garden overgrown. Good location for walking to hotels/resturants Neville from Great Yarmouth (15 July 2016)
Lovely cottage in a beautiful area - very convenient location in centre of the village. Sandra from Stratford Upon Avon (04 July 2016)
A nice place in a great location. Some lovely touches - nice décor in main bedroom, comfy beds, lovely and warm and everything you need. But also needs some tlc in some places -mouldy shower, cobwebs round ceiling and the garden/outside was a disgrace - grass 2ft high, weeds, overgrown and grotty and no table and chairs. Overall would recommend the property. Right in the centre of betws-y-coed - lots of restaurants, cafes, chip shop and spar shop with papers and everything you need, all within two minutes walk. . very steep slope from car park to property (also as others have said the key is not at the door next to the parking, it's round the front, round a path). Customer 17 from Derby (13 June 2016)
Had a very good holiday the cottage garden was overgrown and not really able to sit in although the weather was good we got the impression by the information that it was at the edge of the river not across the road! also it was quite dark inside but clean and the shower could do with a bit of attention. But a very good location for walking and eating. Trimby from Colchester (10 June 2016)
A very good base to travel from clean and tidy practical Paul from Henstridge (20 May 2016)
We couldn't have asked for a better cottage for our bank holiday in betws! lovely and clean, in good condition, with all the amenities that we could have needed. I will definitely be looking to stay here again. Luke from High Wycombe (02 May 2016)
Lovely cottage. Very spacious and comfortable in a great locatiom Sarah from Caddington (29 February 2016)
Lovely area, however, wales appears to close until march but loads of walking and some other activities to keep us occupied. Piece of equipment broke but was very quickly replaced. David from Cleveland (19 February 2016)
First impression when you approach is a bit disappointing as the sign leads you to the back door where there is not much to see, and you will look for the key in vain. But once you figure out that all you have to do is walk around to the front, everything is good, and looks great. Lots of space inside, and cosy. A larger rug or carpet in the sitting room would be nice, and the leather sofas are mighty slippery! had a good time and will hopefully come again. Julia from Nottingham (15 February 2016)
Lovely cottage in an ideal location. . . beds really comfy , ensuring we got a good nights sleep throughout the holiday. The modern shower in the en suite was really powerful and both this room and the main bathroom was nicely finished. . . very well equipped and very cosy, though a couple of lamps in the living room would have been nice. Lovely wood burner in the kitchen ensured we had a lovely warm house even though it was grey and cold when we were there. . the only negatives relate to the cottages position. It's only a couple minutes walk from the main street and all it's amenities but returning to the cottage is up quite a steep path which be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. . . however we thought this was a lovely cottage and plan to return. Sue from Ivegill (08 February 2016)
The bedding smelt terrible, and we could not get hold of the caretaker to ask her to change it. The kitchen smelt bad too, and the hoover had been put in the bedroom cupboard so every time we opened the door to get out our clothes dust bunnies from the henry hoover pipe flew everywhere. Probably unfortunately the second worst cottage I have ever stayed in. On the plus, it was nice and warm. Meera from London (04 January 2016)
The property exceeded expectations. Very clean, comfortable and an excellent location . will definitely go back again. The owner was helpful and welcoming Debbie from Hebden Bridge (29 November 2015)
The cottage was very nice and comfortable, warm and well kitted out.i found the drive up to park very hazardous, slipping on the leaves and gravel.also the three steps to the cottage is very misleading as anyone who has not got a degree of fitness would not make it up the long steep drive to reach the steps.the emptying of the car was also very hazardous with the steep walk down to the cottage covered in leaves.this cottage is not suitable for anyone other than the fit due to access problems.shame as it is a nice cottage with good access to the village. Malcolm from Leicester (19 November 2015)
The cottage was in an ideal location being a short walk to the shops and restaurants in the town centre. The accomodation was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for a quiet week away from home. There are many walks from the centre of the town and we didn't use a car for a number of the days we stayed at tyn y ffynnon. We would love to stay again sometime in the future. Tony from Chorley (30 October 2015)
