The north east of England has a very attractive coast-line, and there are some lovely resorts
to visit in this part of the UK. And, along with these resorts, are some
truly magnificent holiday parks too. Why not stay in the north east of England, and take advantage
of some of the attractions on offer here.
Activities available in Bridlington include golf, boating, fishing, wind-surfing and
Leisure World - which has a whole host of aquatic activities. There's two
beaches for you to enjoy here: The North Beach
and the South Beach
about 2 miles long. These sandy beaches are quite sheltered, and contain all the
facilities you'd expect from a family friendly beach. Dogs are not allowed during
the summer months.
Try the following atrractions in Cleethorpes:
Cleethorpes coast light railway, 10-pin bowling, crazy golf, amusement arcade,
and a leisure centre.
You've got a couple of choices of beach in Cleethorpes. The North Promenade
is a sandy beach, with donkey rides, swings, fairground, and big wheel. There's
also pubs, cafes and restaurants to keep you going. Dogs are allowed on certain parts of
the beach - and these are clearly marked.
The Central Promenade
is also a sandy beach, with all the facilities you'd expect:
ice cream kiosks, snack bars, pubs, toilets. as with the North Parade; dogs are allowed on certain parts of
the beach - and these are clearly marked.
A boating lake, putting, crazy golf, trampolines, childrens play area, miniature golf and nature reserve
are all to be found in Filey. There's also miles of open sandy beaches,
with beach huts, donkey rides, ice-cram kiosks and toilets.
The resort of Scaborough is famous through the land, so you'd expect lots of
facilities and attractions here. And you won't be disappointed: an indoor
swimming pool, spa, sports centre, bowls, 10-pin bowling, putting, golf, mini
railway, boating lake, fishing, amusement arcades, bingo, cinema, theatre,
museums, Sea Life Centre and boat trips can all be found in Scaborough.
The North Beach
is just under a mile long, and is a mainly sandy beach, with
rock pools and cliffs behind. A boating lake and putting can be found at North Beach, along
with beach hut and deck chair hire. Or try the South Bay Beach
, this is about
half a mile in length, sandy, and is well sheltered. The bay includes Scaborough harbour.
Deck chairs and beach huts can be hired. And trampolines, donkey rides & swings keep the children
The home of Dracula - so try the Dracula Expereince Trail. A heated indoor pool, boating, yachting,
putting, crazy golf, bowls, leisure centre, theatre, pavilion and museum are also available
to keep you entertained. And of course, the three mile sandy beach - with all the normal attractions
you'd expect from a family beach.
