Everything that one might need is provided and exceeded our expectations. The bottle of wine was a nice surprise. Thank you to the the hosts for renovating such a beautiful building and seeing the other buildings that they did as well. The wet room is brilliant. The bed is also a very nice touch. Will want to come back again. Mr Eynon (January 2019)
If you have not visited Cornwall before this is a perfect place to stay. The cottage owners are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Mrs Relf (August 2018)
It was situated in a very quiet location off the beaten track but central for lots of Cornwalls tourist destimations and beaches. The owners met us on arrival to answer any queries and although they were near if we needed them our visit to the cottage was very private. The online booking, key collection etc was hassle free. Very pleased with our choice of Sykes, Cornwall and Wheal Kitty. Mr Shrimpton (June 2018)
Hosts are helpful and on hand should you need them. Narrow Cornish roads lead to the cottage in a very quiet area. Mr Lowe (June 2018)
It was furnished with everything required for a comfortable holiday. The owners are also very nice, pleasant people. Mr Overton (May 2018)
Gorgeous rural setting with peaceful outlook over meadow of lambs bounding about! Wheal Kitty is well equipped, well laid out and cosy and comfy. Four poster bed in master bedroom super comfy! We loved reading up on the history of the place and the transformations Howard & family have achieved. Very tastefully done. Beautiful holiday, thank you! Mrs Holt (May 2018)

Everything you could need including a slow cooker! with a bottle of wine and milk waiting for you on arrival is just the perfect touch.. We love Cornwall and go yearly, but it's taken us a while to find a place to stay that is clean! , quiet and beautiful. And again can't thank Howard and Ann enough they were extremely helpful and very welcoming. Look forward to stopping next year.. Mrs Collington from Derby (August 2016)
Absolutely beautiful spot with gorgeous views of the countryside. Cottage was excellent. Really week equipped and Howard and Ann were on hand if we needed anything. Would definitely book again Mr Leary from Town (August 2016)
Peaceful location with wonderful views over the surrounding area. Although quiet, it was not far to the main roads for Newquay and other local amenities were easy to travel to. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped with friendly owners who were nearby for information. It was a very enjoyable stay. Mr Dodd from Balsall Common (March 2016)
All I can do is reiterate everything positive that has been said about this property. The property is set in beautiful countryside with superb views. Very comfortable. Good quality furnishings. The unique oversize and comfortable bed ensures good sleep. Exceptionally clean and well equipped, providing everything that you need from the moment you arrive to the moment of leaving. A warm welcome from Howard and Ann who were always there for help and advice if required. The bottle of wine and the milk in the fridge on arrival were a welcome touch. The property is in an ideal position for Newquay whilst being in quiet and peaceful countryside. A good base for travelling further afield. The fact that many of the comments in the visitors book referred to multiple visits says it all. Yorkshirebred (March 2016)
The cottage was the most peaceful tranquil place. It was a well equipped home from home. We had a wonderful week and would definitely go again. Mrs Lennox-gordon from Blandford Forum (February 2016)
Beautiful peaceful surroundings, being situated not far from the main town with a rural farming aspect. Warm, cosy, comfortable and modern property. Mrs Mace from Maidenhead (February 2016)
A warm friendly away from it all escape. Couldn't ask for anything more. Mrs Jackson from Selby (November 2015)
We had a very enjoyable stay, it was quiet and relaxed. It was nice and clean, and also well equipped. Would love to go there again in the summer. Mr Meale from North Walsham (November 2015)
We liked the huge bed in the master bedroom it was fantastic and so comfortable. The cottage was a true home from home but better and the owner was lovely too. Mrs Mennell from Malton (August 2015)
We are in cottage now and what a lovely time we are having in a beautiful setting. Owner greeted us on arrival and was happy to point out places to go. Cottage is lovely, part of a group of renovated farm buildings, but very private. It's very clean and well equipped. We found sofa and chairs to be very comfortable as was our enormous bed. Tasteful decoration throughout love the photo album of the renovation and history. If I were to be critical the only thing I would change would be the toilet roll holder! Don't like it on floor. Would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful base for touring, it's close enough to everything and far enough away to be in countryside. We brought elderly parents, Howard was kind enough to bring a chair for the bathroom. Cottage is ideal for elderly, young, couples and family's . LOVED it. Sylvia M (June 2015)
In a lovely peaceful location and the cottage had everything you needed. All in all a fab place. Mrs Filer from Newport (May 2015)
Everything was excellent. Probably the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in. All looked like it was brand new - although we now know it was completed a few years ago. People were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is surrounded by countryside, with beautiful views and is lovely and quiet. Mr Smith from Maidstone (March 2015)
It was a stunning location and a very beautiful conversion. The old beams were magnificent and the information pack told us a lot about the process of the conversion. It was warm, comfortable and everything one could ask. Thank you hugely. Rev Thomas from Retford (December 2014)
The cottage had beautiful views and was a lovely place to come back to every day. We are in England for six months from Australia and it was exactly the kind of property we were looking for. The owners were very friendly without being over the top. Mrs Pritchard from Warrington (October 2014)
Wheal Kitty is warm, comfortable and clean. The views from the cottage are beautiful and it is centrally situated so easy to get around and explore the Cornish coast. Mrs Quinton from Preston (October 2014)
A lovely peaceful location in a pretty cottage which felt snug during a a storm and airy when it was warm. The location is perfect for getting out and about around Cornwall and there is plenty of room to leave your car outside the door for unloading. The owners were welcoming and available if required but left you alone to enjoy your break in peace. The cottage is very well equipped and nicely decorated and of adequate size. Miss Horner from Hastings (August 2014)
This cottage was a perfect base for touring round Cornwall. We were greeted by the owner on arrival but otherwise we're left in peace to enjoy our holiday and the stunning views. The cottage is well equipped with all mod cons and utensils. You won't need to take anything extra. The history of the cottage is explained in the welcome manual and it makes you appreciate the hard work which has gone into making this building fell so homely. The hand made 4 poster bed is amazing and we slept well every night in peaceful surroundings, even on our first night during a big storm, we couldn't have felt more snug. The views are stunning and it only takes a couple of minutes to drive to the main road to start your daily adventures. If you just want to chill out in the cottage, there is a large shared garden area, with each cottage having its own table and BBQ. The place was very clean and the complimentary wine was welcomed after a 6 hour drive! We didn't need for anything during our stay but had we have done, then the owners are close by and I'm sure would be most obliging if required. If we decide to return to Cornwall we would seriously consider returning to this lovely cottage. Thank you Tracedaze (August 2014)
In peaceful and tranquil surroundings, ideal for a chill out holiday but close enough to local attractions. Mrs Kirkpatrick from Sutton-In-Ashfield (June 2014)
This was our 4th visit to this cottage - so that says it all really. Also location great for both sides of the Cornish Coast. Extremely beautiful & peaceful location. Mrs Varley from Ipswich (May 2014)
The cottage and location were excellent, the people who ran the place were very friendly and helpful and were always there for advice. The location is very quiet and tranquil but also in close proximity to the tourist attractions and larger towns. Mr Wright from Tadley (May 2014)
A beautiful cottage in the middle of nowhere and very well converted from the original farm building. Very peaceful and great for 4 adults as we were. The owners left us alone but if we had needed anything they were there. Mrs Hardacre from Ferndown (May 2014)
We had a wonderful holiday, in a well presented, well designed cottage. Not too far from a convenience store, serious shopping complex at Fraddon within 5 miles. Lots of interesting places to visit, and the coastline an easy hop away. We will return. A FlipKey verified reviewer (December 2013)

Fantastic location, great hosts. Absolutely fantastic stay. Mr Patel from Luton (October 2012)
Loved the area, plenty of space around and beautiful views from the windows. Cottage comfortable overall, could have done with more wardrobe space. Lack of storage or shelf room in bathroom. The two settees not very comfortable.Very reasonable price for a lovely place would go back again and have recommended to other people. A FlipKey verified reviewer (September 2012)

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The accommodation was fantastic and high standards maintained throughout. The fine bottle of red wine provided by the owners was also a welcomed gift.
