Excellent cottage, Mr Farmer is very friendly and helpful. Our second stay. It is lovely and peaceful. Mrs Hodson (October 2017)
This is our second stay in this wonderful cottage. It is spotlessly clean & has everything you could possibly need & more. Set in peaceful countryside but only a few minutes drive from the main road. We didn't want to leave. Mrs Mountford (August 2017)
The cottage and surroundings were amazing, it was fantastically equipped way beyond our expectations. When we had an issue with working the cooker hob, the cottage owner was very easy to contact and very helpful and able to help us over the telephone. We can't recommend this property highly enough. The owners live within the same complex and very friendly and helpful. Mr Burston from Bristol (October 2016)
The cottage was very comfortable and of good cleaning standard. The kitchen was also well equipped although some more utensils and pots and pans would not go amiss. Nice welcome by owner, gave local information; there was a bottle of white wine and a pint of milk in the fridge. OS map of local area as well as maps for coastal walks were present as well as loads of fliers for sightseeing. The location of the cottage was great in quiet country side yet easy access to all of Cornwall, just off the A30. Overall good value for money. Dr Van Lishout from Wallingford (September 2016)
YES THE SPOT OF WHEAL HONEY COTTAGE WAS IDEALLY PLACED FOR VISITING ALL ASPECTS OF CORNWALL,BEACHES SITES TOWNS ETC.THANKS FOR A SMASHING HOLIDAY Mr Jackson from Swansea (September 2016)
Excellent home from home. Everything included for our 2 week stay even down to little added extras . Highly recommend this amazing cottage !!!! Owners very friendly and welcoming., can't wait to return. Sue P (September 2016)
Fantastic holiday. We love visiting here. Mrs Maxey from Nottingham (August 2016)
This was the best property we have stayed in, it is a little gem and hopefully we will return again in the near future. Mr Fawcett from Brigg (June 2016)
Liked everything. It is in an idyllic location and was very quiet and peaceful, and the cottage was a real home from home with everything needed to make it a relaxing holiday. Mrs Andrews from Hemel Hempstead (June 2016)
The accommodation is fabulous. The property is located down a small country lane but because of this it is tranquil. The views are spectacular, out across rolling fields complete with sheep, cows, pheasants and all manor of birds, we think we even heard an owl one day. It has outdoor seating with a BBQ and a large shared sloping lawn. Inside the accommodation is perfect. The bathroom is large and the bedrooms are airy with very comfortable beds. The kitchen area is well equipped (although we didn't do much cooking) complete with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The owners were very welcoming and full of information on the local area. The property is perfectly positioned for travelling around the area. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely recommend it and hope to return ourselves. Mrs Hodson from Dudley (May 2016)
The cottage was lovely and the views were to die for. The owners were very helpful and very friendly. Mrs Watkins from Worcester (April 2016)
This is an absolutely fabulous cottage, set in a peaceful rural area but only a few minutes from the main roads. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The owners are a delightful couple who suggested places for us to visit. We would return in a heartbeat. Mr Mountford from Stoke-On-Trent (March 2016)
We had a most enjoyable stay in a lovely property and were made welcome by the owners. Mr McGregor from London (December 2015)
A lovely, comfortable, well-equipped and maintained cottage in a beautiful setting. Mr Hall from Bognor Regis (October 2015)
This is by far our favourite property from Sykes and we have been visiting Sykes properties for eight years! But shhh..keep it quiet as we want to keep it free for us to visit again. A beautiful place to visit if you would like to stay somewhere with relaxing views and be accessible to lots of Cornwall's treasures like Padstow, Rock or Marazion. Very lovely for families with beach enthusiasts. Mrs Maxey from Nottingham (August 2015)
Wheal Honey, what a gem. Set in an idyllic location within a complex of barn conversations and lovingly restored to the highest specification by its very friendly and helpful owner. We could not have wished for a more cosy comfortable home for our holiday. Everything about the 'cottage' was perfect, which during a spell of awful weather was very much appreciated! I cannot fault this beautiful cottage, or the concern for our comfort. I would happily recommend this location to anyone. I feel that although it is rated 4 Star, it should really be 5, so glad we found it. Can't wait to return. Ms Tooth from Swadlincote (May 2015)
Excellent property and hosts. Mr Parker from Verwood (March 2015)
The cottage was beautiful and very well kept, everything we needed was provided, and the owners made us feel welcome and at home. Great location too. Miss Mclean from Paignton (March 2015)
This accommodation was very homely and perfect to come home to at the end of the day. The facilities were excellent. Mrs Slater from Southampton (February 2015)
The cottage itself is a great retreat to stay indoors even. The view of countryside, the early morning sunrise and sunset in the evening is simply super. The décor and setting of the cottage is warm and everything you may need is made available and of quality. The warm welcome by the owners and the way they looked after our family was excellent. We enjoyed our stay with two kids and they too were very excited. The place is in close reach to the beaches as well as other entertainment in the area. Definitely a place to stay if you love countryside and the beaches and want to get away from the usual typical busy urban lifestyle. Mr Haroon from Edgware (December 2014)
The cottage was perfect - it was finished to a very high standard and was quiet, warm and had everything you could need. Will definitely be back again! Mrs Blackman from Torrington (November 2014)
We stayed in the cottage a week with friends, while on course in Truro. This beautiful cottage became our sanctuary. Very nice location, supper clean and comfortable. Very friendly owner. I highly recommend this cottage and I am looking forward to staying there again when I visit Cornwall. Miss Vrublova from Windermere (November 2014)
Such a friendly welcoming property in an ideal location to explore the South West. Very well equipped throughout with every need thought of. Will definitely return in the future. Mr Shelton from Much Wenlock (October 2014)
Lovely location, peaceful and quiet. Mr Whittingham from Truro (October 2014)
very quite and peaceful location to chill out, owners are very friendly and the bottle of wine was a lovely gesture. the accommodation is really comfortable and within easy reach of Newquay and local shops. looking forward to visiting agains soon carl22014 (October 2014)
Very good quality cottage, great quiet countryside location but town and coast only a short drive away. Mr Bishop from Crawley (August 2014)
An excellent property in a stunning location. Possibly one of the best holidays we have had to Cornwall and we would love to come back again. It is great for families with small children. Mr Maxey from Nottingham (August 2014)
Superb Cornish beaches; great accommodation, quiet area, very good spec, very cosy, lovely views and big open garden for kids to run. All the interior looked brand new and extremely well furnished: kitchen, diner and lounge. Would stay again! Dr Fish from Leyland (July 2014)
We spent a week at this cottage from 5th July. Generally the place is very comfortable although the bathroom left a little to be desired (the mirror was not really high enough for someone of six feet tall to shave without having to duck down and there could be more shelving). The kitchen facilities were more than adequate for our needs. The location is very rural and apart from the occasional pheasant extremely quiet. The view from the back across a fertile valley to a small farm on the other side of the hill was lovely. We were made very welcome and Howard and Ann who were more than happy to give us recommendations and directions to the local eating places and shops. John2905 (July 2014)
