I took my girlfriend, sister and nephew and our dogs to Wade House for a Halloween break. We were not let down. ... M10C1083 (November 2017)
The location was perfect for us, close to Aberfeldy with lovely woodland walks for the dogs on the doorstep. Wade House was warm, comfortable and well equipped, we woild definitely stay there again. Docherty (August 2017)
Great holiday cottage. Couldn't fault it. Mr Nelson (March 2017)
Lovely spacious house, incredibly warm and just a pleasant walk to Aberfeldy, we loved it. Mrs Hellen (February 2017)
A little more generosity with wood and fire lighters would have gone down well. 2 firefighters and 1 bag of logs a little skimpy for one of the Frosties weekends this winter. Minus 9. Mrs Collier from Banchory (November 2016)
Great location. A little chilly on the coldest days but otherwise a great cottage. Ms Dahlstrom from Largs (November 2016)
Just back from a week at Wade House. I would recommend the house without reservation. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. There are three bedrooms - two with two single beds and a double and two of the three bedrooms are en suite. Downstairs living area is very comfortable with under floor heating plus a wood burning stove for which there are logs, kindling and fire lighters as well as matches. Additional logs can be purchased in Aberfeldy at £3.99 per 3.5kg bag. We used two and a half additional bags. The kitchen is well equipped and offers plenty of space. And, I managed to drop the door key one evening on the way to the Theatre in Pitlochry. A text to the owner and one of his team made a 15 mile round trip to open the house with a spare key - found my key in the parking area back at the house when we returned from the Theatre. All in all, 10 out of 10 angusscot (November 2016)
My only comment relates to your administration because I have no record of you sending me instructions re how to access the house. Fortunately I was able to ask the owner. The key to the house is located in a key safe which needs a code to open. Mr Rooney from Kirriemuir (October 2016)
Wade Cottage was lovely - spacious and comfortable and a short walk to the pretty Weem Woods or into Aberfeldy itself. I had seen one of the reviews saying the cottage was cold - my experience was quite the opposite, with the wood-burner going in the lounge, we were roasting! Beautiful master bedroom - it was lovely to wake up in the morning and look out at the wooded hill behind the cottage -very scenic! Mrs Moorhouse from Edinburgh (September 2016)
A lovely cottage in a great location. This cottage had everything and more that you would want from a holiday home. So comfortable and clean with a very welcoming feel. Would definitely book this cottage again. The best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Mr Fawell from Benfleet (August 2016)
There was nothing we could fault about the house, none of us wanted to leave! Both my children loved the open plan living area/kitchen with fire, along with being able to share a room that had an en suite to themselves. My husband and I had the top floor bedroom with shower room, which was to an excellent standard. We had our dog and there were plenty of walks right on the doorstep, so even the dog had a great time! The drying room as you came in the house was an invaluable feature for us all. Mrs Mcmichael from Menstrie (February 2016)
I have just returned from a holiday at Wade House, my partner and I and my two dogs had a wonderful time. We couldn't fault the cottage and although the weather was a little wet - the log fire was lovely to come home to after a walk or a day out. There was also a very handy drying room. Although the cottage didn't have a garden there were plenty of walks we were able to go on from the doorstep - Weem Woods and Birks of Aberfeldy. It was great and the space was great for what we needed. We would also highly recommend the Ailean Chraggan Hotel for a meal and they accommodate dogs in the bar area. We went on the Friday night and returned for Sunday lunch before we travelled home. The tour around Dewar's distillery was also a highlight and you aren't too far from St Andrew's. All in all we had a great stay and the cottage was excellent. Miss Stallard from Banbury (November 2015)
Great base for seeing Perthshire. Facilities in the cottage were excellent and helped make it a very relaxed break. Mrs Campbell from Kilwinning (October 2015)
Excellent accommodation loads of space, a good temperature and excellent drying room. You can walk to pub/restaurant (which is amazing) and Aberfeldy. Very convenient for the mountains or easier local walks. Mrs Fieldhouse from Wymondham (December 2014)
Wade House was ideal for our grown up family of 6 with enough space & bathrooms to keep everybody happy. Aberfeldy was a gentle 20 minute walk from the house. The kids had a ball and we are keen to make this trip an annual event! Ms Carr from Glasgow (October 2014)
The property is nicely decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is warm and comfortable with plenty of hot water. The bathrooms were nice and the electric shower was good. There are walks directly from the cottage and a very good restaurant within walking distance. Aberfeldy is only a few minutes way and has lots of nice shops and by the time this is published will have a shiny new Co Op. Mrs Forbes from Penrith (September 2014)
The open plan kitchen/dining/living area was very cosy and we felt right at home in this space as soon as we arrived. The underfloor heating was great too. I found the owner very helpful on the phone and he did not hesitate to recommend things to do, especially if we arrived earlier than intended, as well as ensuring we knew about the laundry facilities. We liked the distance from Aberfeldy - perfect for a walk in to town. Mr Campbell from Inverurie (December 2013)
Great place, great location, lots of room. Plenty of bathrooms. It had everything we expected in a cottage. Mr Murphy from Sheffield (November 2013)
Property was very spacious and comfortable. The wood burning stove was perfect for warming the house quickly in the evening. Mr Reynolds from Edinburgh (October 2013)
