Everything you could need in a holiday cottage to make your stay comfortable. We loved it, kids loved it, dogs loved it... Happy days!! Mr O#&39;donnell (April 2019)
Fantastic cottage, rita (the owner) was great the cottage has everything you need in a lovely quiet and private postion, spotlessly clean very cosy would highly recommend this property. Mr Cowhig (October 2017)
Had a fantastic time the cottage was beautiful clean and set in amazing countryside, the one thing we would suggest is a gate across the drive so we could let the dog out without his lead but that said we would definatly recommended and register! Miss Pickles (August 2017)
Located in breathtaking countryside offering 360 degrees vista. Great for tranquil, peaceful holiday. Rita and Mark were very friendly and helpful, took time to introduce themselves and advise on local area. Mr Evans (March 2017)
View Point Cottage was an amazing stay, it was extremely comfortable and the scenery around the local area was truly magnificent. Mrs Scott and her family were all lovely and always willing to help support if we needed anything. We took our two cocker spaniels and explored the areas near and surrounding the cottage. It is an ideal central location to have long country walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be looking to book a longer stay early next year. We Highly recommend View Point Cottage. David. Mr West (November 2016)
Mark and Rita, the owners, were very friendly and thoughtful...... we would definitely recommend and look forward to booking again next year. Mrs Eames from Penrith (October 2016)
We turned up at the cottage in the dark so we did not see our surroundings until the morning. When we looked out of the windows in the morning the views and the location of the cottage were amazing. The cottage was clean warm and cosy and exactly as it looks in the brochure. Rita and Mark who own the cottage are the nicest most helpful people you could wish to meet, and pointed us in the direction of local points of interest and walks. we will definitely be going back again in the future. Mr Ridley from Verwood (September 2016)

This property is nice and quiet in an "out of the way" location. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Mr Stevens from Colchester (June 2016)
A really nice tranquil spot and a very restful and quiet location. It is central for visiting local towns and attractions and what could be better than after a day walking to come back to view point cottage. Mr Austin from Runcorn (May 2016)
The cottage was beautiful and the owners were friendly and helpful suggesting places to visit etc. Mrs Cleator from Liverpool (May 2016)

Lovely cottage in a perfect place to "get away from it all". The old fire place is so fascinating. The cottage was nice and clean. Mrs Bodie-raczka from Nottingham (November 2015)
A lovely cottage with excellent views. It was very warm, welcoming and clean throughout. Ideal location for the dogs and young children with daily use of the farmers field to let them loose. Mrs Davies-dickson from Liverpool (October 2015)
I cant believe this last review what this person has wrote. We have been going to viewpoint cottage 4 times a year for the last 4 years and never ever had any complaints. Rita is the most obliging person i know. The cottage is imaculate with stunning views. Nothing is to much trouble for rita and i certainly cant imagine her being rude to anyone. Best place we have ever stayed. Christine T (May 2015)
"Absolutely fantastic cottage and the owners were wonderful. Words cannot describe such a wonderful place. 5 stars." Mr Voce from Liverpool (February 2015)
View Point Cottage is stunning and set in a beautiful location. It is extremely clean and tidy upon arrival. Very pet friendly, quite central to some great walks and not far from a quaint little village with a couple of nice pubs. The owners are very welcoming and encourage you to treat the cottage like home. Had a nice kitted out kitchen with everything you need and a large porch for storage of bikes walking kit etc. Mr Sands from Liverpool (February 2015)
Having read the previous review I had some slight concerns ahead of our stay, however the minute we arrived these concerns instantly evaporated. As you approach the cottage along the drive, you can see that it is a very tidy and well kept building within beautiful surroundings. The owner greeted us following our arrival and we found her to be both pleasant and helpful. We attended the cottage prepared with groceries and milk, I have no expectation that any of these items should be provided during your stay. With it being the middle of winter it is obviously very cold and the heating did seem to struggle to keep the cottage heated (it is an old building). That said we were always comfortable and just had to keep an eye on it at night with us having a young child. The cottage is quite a way from the main road and I imagine it will be difficult to get out of or into if there is snow. Thankfully during our stay there was no snow and just a little ice which made for some twitchy moments getting out onto the main B road! Inside the cottage there is everything you need, however there is no O2 phone signal (Vodaphone is available). There is Sky TV available, however during our stay there was only one channel working which was either due to the weather or the dish needs to be realigned by an engineer. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and we would go there again. Paul C (January 2015)
Amazing location and a really friendly welcome from the owners. The Cottage is immaculate and comfortable and feels secluded yet not isolated. Will highly recommend. Mrs Vine from Wirral (May 2014)
The very peaceful setting of the cottage. Beautiful views from every part of the cottage. Mrs Evans from Castleford (April 2014)
Cottage is in a great location, right in the countryside. Great views and very quiet. Mr Lewis from Swansea (February 2014)
This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It's a beautiful cottage with plenty of room, well equipped, nicely furnished and a magnificent view across the valley. It's on a well kept farm and a quiet location. The owners are very welcoming. I can highly recommend this cottage. Gordon and Darryl (December 2013)
If you want a beautifully presented cottage on a delightful setting, then I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. We felt really at home, and the area is beautiful. There is nothing not to like about this cottage and location. Mr Benjamin from Stevenage (July 2013)
Beautiful, secluded spot. We had a whole meadow to exercise our dogs. The living room is cosy with a fireplace, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The owner welcomed us with a basket of goodies. Bedrooms are two doubles, not a twin and a double as stated on Sykes at the time. The area is lovely for trips and hiking, and very tranquil. LJN1978 (June 2013)
Position of cottage lovely with magnificent views. Mrs Davies from Warrington (April 2013)
Excellent property, had everything we needed for our weekend away. Once we had located the property everything was fine. Mobile phone signal is a big issue in the area. This could be viewed as a positive or a negative, but if you need the phone to contact the owners to guide you in, it is a problem...as I discovered. Though I did notice that there are still quite a few phone boxes around the area, so take some change, just in case! Arriving independently we both had issues actually finding the cottage, which is not visible from the road. But once we did everything was just right. The house was warm and welcoming, with everything we might need to hand. The only thing we missed was a dishwasher, but that is not a criticism, just an observation. Our dogs had a wonderful time too, though we did move all the cushions out of their reach! Just too much temptation for a good tug of war! All in all a great place for an away from it all break, on the doorstep of breathtaking scenery/countryside. Thank you for a great weekend. yorkshiregirl58 (March 2013)

Cottage was well equiped and cosy. Lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. Friendly locals. Good value. A FlipKey verified reviewer (May 2011)
Fantastic week's holiday, lovely cottage, very well appointed in beautiful surroundings. The owners couldn't be more helpful, with a friendly village close by. Highly recommended. A FlipKey verified reviewer (May 2011)
Beautiful scenery in a perfect location, ideal for walking and relaxing. Mrs Dakin from Stockport (April 2011)
Secluded location. Nice to have owners close but not invasive. Pleasant, comfortable little cottage with everything we expected and more. Expected to need to keep our dogs on leads near the cottage but owners had kindly moved animals around to allow us access to an adjacent field which they did not need to do, but was greatly appreciated. First weekend was hot and a barbeque appeared in the garden which was great. Mr Short from Southampton (April 2011)
Very friendly, excellent accommodation, lovely location, private, dog-friendly, superb overall. Mr Waine from Sandbach (March 2011)
This cosy quiet cottage was a delight. Only a short drive to the local supermarket and pub, this location was remote but not too remote. The owners are very nice. It's not too far from Snowdonia and coastal castles, all with beautiful drives. Be sure to buy the locally made scones at the corner store to accompany your afternoon tea. Mr Cooper from Richmond (February 2011)
Not as well equipped as other cottages we’ve stayed in. Slightly disappointing. Customer 51
Perfect for a peaceful week away. The owner was very helpful and even brought a toy tracker for my son to play with while we stayed. It's a great based to visit different places we visited powis castle, the local waterfall, and lots more national trust sites. I would definitely recommend the cottage for a quite break. Customer 52
However, the owners were great. Came to find us, when we could not find the cottage. A regular occurrence I believe, as the lane looks like coming to a dead end and we turned away, rather than going down a bit that looked like it would be dodgy to reverse out of. Not necessary as it turned out. Would certainly return. Customer 53
Have had a lovley stay at View Point cottage.Rita and Mark are a lovley couple and were on hand if needed. The cottage is of a high standard lovley and cosy great to return to after a day out. Harry our dog loved it ,asked Rita where we could exercise Harry ,she let us use one if their fields.Lovley to wake up to the horses in the paddock opposite. If you want a total get away from it all break this certainly is the place.Look forward to returning.Thank you Mark and Rita . Customer 54
It was warm and generally quiet. On arrival everything looked exceptionally clean and tidy, there was loads of storage and lots of kitchen equipment. It was a great place to relax, which was exactly what we had wanted. We felt that the lovely owners, who are on site, were available should help of been needed whilst they werre not intrusive. The scenary surrounding the cottage was stunning and there were plenty of good walks, some flat alongside rivers, others more challenging in hillside. Something to suit everyone. Locally we found really good places to eat at reasonable prices. We felt it was reasonably priced and we had a lovely holiday. . Customer 55
The owners were very friendly, helpful and even let us run our dogs in one of their fields, even though this is not part of the cottage facilities (I advise checking with them in advance if this is important to you). Thank you very much, we had a fantastic time! Customer 56
..owners and family very friendly and helpful..only one thing spoiled it a little for us and that was the fact there is only one toilet...fine for younger people etc...however unfortunately I do have mobility problems... absolutely breathtaking views all round, so tranquil and peaceful...wonderful...didn't want to come away again!! Customer 57
The level of cleanliness was very good and the cottage was well equipped, if you like star gazing, this is a very good location, on one evening in the space of 5 minutes we saw 4 satellites, yes they were all satellites and not planes. Thank you Rita and Mark, a lovely cottage and a lovely holiday. Customer 58
Cottage is lovely as are the owners, perfect place to relax. Customer 59
This is a beautiful cottage. It is tucked away in a rural location, surrounded by far-reaching views and lots of wildlife. Despite the rustic exterior, the inside of the cottage is very well kitted out and easy to heat. There are nice little extras too, such as books, DVDs and board games. We met both Rita and Mark who were very welcoming, helpful and friendly hosts. They even greeted us with a bottle of wine on arrival. Pretty villages and walks nearby. Would highly recommend and will certainly return. Customer 60
We had a wonderful time the cottage was clean warm and well presented. We met Rita and her husband Mark and they couldn't have been more pleasant. There is a paddock which we could let our 2 dogs run in and there are plenty of walks to do, albeit rained a lot, an awful lot bit it was great to come back to a warm and inviting home from home. Having read the visitor book we could only find good reports. Well done Rita don't change a thing Customer 61
