A lovely character cottage in the beautiful village of Youlegreave with it's own off road parking. Host welcoming and very helpful. Excellent base for touring Derbyshire. Locals friendly with good dog friendly pubs within walking distance. Would certainly go back next year! Mrs Wynne from Colwyn Bay (October 2016)
Lovely cottage. Always made welcome. Have stayed twice now and would stay again. Excellent position for walking and close to Bakewell's shopping when required. Would recommend x Lisa T (March 2015)
A lovely cosy cottage which was well equipped, nice and clean. Had comfy beds and had a lovely friendly welcome from the owner who gave us some knowledge of the village/walks etc. In a great location with three local pubs which were all very friendly and a great butchers, their pies were to die for. What more could you want on holiday. Mrs Darrah from Rainham (February 2015)

Three pubs to choose from great riverside walks . Secure shared garden for you and your dogs lovely welcome from owners who look after you and give you some local knowledge great big homemade cake on arrival and fresh flowers . Check out the butchers some lovely pastries. We would definitely stay again. SandP150 (February 2015)
The homemade cake presented to us by the owner was particularly welcoming and set the tone for the friendly hospitality provided throughout our stay. The fixtures and fittings in Turret Cottage may not have been absolutely pristine but everything worked and overall the property was in a very clean and tidy condition. The cottage proved to be an excellent centre for exploring the highlights of Derbyshire which included walking through the dales around Youlgreave and visiting nearby Chatsworth. We enjoyed our visit! CharlesRigley (January 2015)
The owner was very friendly and helpful with all our requests and even brought us extra wood for the fire because the shops were shut on New Years Day. Any villagers we met during our stay were also friendly and helpful. All three pubs in the village were dog friendly and the food at the George was large portions and good value for money. The local butcher (just three doors away) sold excellent produce at reasonable prices. We would definitely go again!!! Ms Cunningham from Derby (December 2014)
The beds were very comfortable and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We like the fact of the open fire. The Kitchen was well stocked for cooking your own food. The Lounge is a comfortable relaxing area after a long walk. Youlgrave has plenty of good walks and great scenery around and ideal place for dogs. Mr Cory from Stevenage (September 2014)
This cottage was a great base for walking; there are several circular walks directly from the cottage so we hardly used the car all week. The scenery was stunning. We had a lovely welcome from the owners of the property too. Mrs Baines-Ball from Leicester (September 2014)

The cottage was very well located, and represented good value for money. The village had a choice of 3 pubs, a shop with post office, and also a butchers and garage which were all within walking distance. Mr Clarke from Birmingham (November 2013)

We had a wonderful holiday at Turret Cottage. The owners were very warm and welcoming. The cottage was very cosy and well stocked. This was our first visit to the Peak District and we found the village of Youlgreave was ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside. We wished we had discovered the Peak District 20 years ago as the scenery is absolutely stunning - we will certainly be returning soon. Mrs Chandler from Hertford (June 2013)
Fantastic host. Great location. Our dog was made to feel at home. Excellent food at the Farmyard Inn, dog friendly of course. Mrs Pape from Gainsborough (January 2013)

All of the property was very clean and the owner had thought of everything, even down to a towel to dry off the wet dogs. Mrs Nudds from Maidstone (October 2012)
We were very comfortable in the cottage and appreciated the dedicated parking space, as the road gets very congested being a small village. Mrs Fletcher from Seahouses (October 2012)
Very pet friendly, the owners were very nice, the cottage was lovely and situated in a lovely village. Mrs Smith from Grimsby (September 2012)

Turret Cottage is located in the middle of Youlgreave, an attractive village with good amenities. Its position makes it an ideal starting point for walks through the beautiful rolling countryside. The property is a short drive from tourist attractions such as Matlock, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. The owners, who live next door, are very friendly and helpful. Mr Thistlewood from Cardiff (August 2012)
The friendliness of the host couple. The property and its setting in the village. The area. Mr O'Haogain (August 2012)
A delightful cottage in a delightful setting, with a very valuable parking space off road. Very well appointed, with everything you need to actually live there for the week and not just a place simply to sleep. Useful WiFi. Very family friendly setting, with a lovely garden to use. Very little to fault if anything. Dr Buckle from Hereford (July 2012)
