Easy to visit all coastal towns. Would recommend a larger sink in en-suite as difficult to have a wash, didn’t want a shower twice a day. Otherwise facilities very good and would recommend to friends Mrs Conrath (October 2018)
Fantastic place, loads of room, everything you need for a comfortable holiday, dog friendly, large back garden, quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes walk from the local shop pub and restaurant. Highly recommended Lynn D (September 2018)
This was a base for us for a fortnight whilst our daughter married in the village, it could not have been more perfect. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday after the main event which was completely due to this amazing house. The owners clearly take a great pride in letting the property and communication prior to arrival was patient and understanding regarding any queries or clarification we needed. They provided some personal touches on arrival which was so kind and thoughtful, and also basics to help like milk in the fridge etc. The location is great with a myriad of walks, places to visit, eat etc within easy reach. Cannot recommend The Old Fire Station highly enough Mrs Burkinshaw (September 2018)
.really spacious and light. Each bedroom was a great size so there was plenty of room for 4 adults, 2 children and 3 dogs! Mrs White (August 2018)
We visited Canterbury, Margate and Dover castle and lovely gardens where you can see the channel and France in the distance and let your dogs run about. Miss Durrington (August 2018)
We loved everything about this most unusual, quirky property. Location was very good in a quiet and peaceful area of the village. TOFS is without doubt one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed in. The big, single storey open plan living area gives a great feeling of space and light. Comfort levels are first class and include king size beds. Wi-Fi signal is very good and the property is spotlessly clean. The owners were friendly and helpful and very generously provided a welcome pack which included a bottle of wine and milk. Even dog bowls and dog towels were provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at TOFS and definitely intend to return this year. HappyWanderer817 (March 2018)
Every thing was Perfect from the First day to the last. We are looking forward to staying there again. Mr Peters (March 2018)
Fantastic amount of space for our family of six tall adults plus dog. Dog towels etc thoughtfully provided. Lovely to be able to walk out to the cliffs. We would love to stay there again. Ms Siviter (December 2017)

Our family of 7 plus 2 dogs spent a week at The Old Fire Station this summer. This is a lovely place to stay with spacious, modern and clean rooms. The owners provided just about everything we could think of, even leaving us some fresh milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine! The accommodation is really querky, such a good conversion with little touches to bring its history alive. The furnishings and general finish are really good. Outside there is plenty of off road parking as well as a secure rear garden which was great for our dogs, no worry of them getting out. Although dog friendly it was all really clean, no sign of 'dogginess' anywhere! We also had our elderly parents with us so the fact everything is on one level really helped make their stay easy. The location is a nice area, well kept with easy walking access to great pubs, restaurants and the village shop. We particularly liked The Smugglers pub for food and oldie-worldie atmosphere. The beach is down a hill but you can drive a car down to it. We went crabbing with the kids there. We took our dogs to Walmer beach several times which was only a few minutes drive, a good place for the kids to swim too. There were plenty of things to do locally such as Dover Castle which is huge, water sports in Dover, good shopping in Deal and further afield at Canterbury. We also had a day trip to Calais where there is a lovely sandy beach just a few minutes walk from the ferry port and a free bus ride to French shops...easy to do in a day. Well done to the owners of TOFS for creating such a nice place to stay, we will definitely recommend this to our friends and would book again if we visited the same area. N4797DV (September 2017)
Stayed at The Old Fire Station for a week at the end of August. The accommodation was absolutely brilliant. 3 Double bedrooms one with en suite and one single room. The accommodation is pet friendly and the garden is completely secure so no worries about your four legged friend getting out. Close to the white cliffs in Dover and handy for visiting the local castles. Beaches about a 10 minutes drive from the property. The owners Mark and Jeanette are really friendly and any issues with the property they are happy to sort out. Would highly recommend this accommodation for anybody planning to visit Dover. scos75 (August 2017)
The property was lovely and really well equipped. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog. We would love to come here again. Mrs Mosley (February 2017)
