! The cottage is beautiful and the owners made us feel right at home - including a welcoming telephone call en route. The village itself is also beautiful with two public houses serving wonderful food. Overall....highly recommended. Mr Hayes (April 2019)
We have just got home from here and we found it to be just right for the 2 of us and a dog .. you may find 4 people is a little too cosy. Clean and tidy with a nice little garden for the dog. Stacks of parking space in the road and right next door to a little Londis so you will never run out of anything. Easy driving to York city and the coast. The roads are never busy ! Fish & Chip shop 1 minute away and The Blue Bell Inn less than 5, and that's at a slow pace. Out of the house left down to the ... NigelDPG (October 2018)
Great choice of pubs/restaurants in the village plus rail connection to Bridlington, Hull etc. Highly recommend. Mr Barker (October 2018)
The cottage was cosy and perfect for a weekend away with our 4 legged friends. Alison was lovely and really couldn't do enough for us during our stay, and the welcome pack even had treats for the doggys. Would definitely recommend this cottage and will be returning soon!! Miss Lunn (October 2018)
The owner, Alison, was very helpful with instructions on gaining entry to the cottage before our arrival and also during our stay when water started pouring out of the washing machine during use! My husband alerted her and it was fixed that morning. The tray of welcome goodies was also a nice surprise upon our arrival. The cottage is comfortable, cosy and well furnished. The wifi is good and it was great to be able to access Netflix, BBC iplayer, etc on the tv. It is a bit of a trek if you need the loo in the night but to be expected in an old cottage like this. Nafferton itself is a lovely village. The shop next door was extremely handy. There are three pubs currently open. The Blue Bell Inn is very welcoming and cosy, they weren't serving food during our stay but well worth visiting just for the extensive gin list! The food at The Cross Keys is very good and the staff very accommodating and friendly. Dogs are welcome in the bar areas. We didn't get to try The Star. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and would definitely recommend The Old Cottage. Mrs Cooper (October 2018)
The cottage itself was cosy and comfortable, the area was beautiful, we’ll definitely be going back. Mr Michell (September 2018)
Exceptional cottage. Highly recommend. Mrs Williams (September 2018)
It is a lovely comfortable and homely cottage. Fully equipped with thoughtful extras and very tastefully decorated. The shop next door is most useful, and the rail links direct to the village were great. Would definitely recommend this cottage and would visit again. Mrs Meynell (September 2018)
Lovely weather matched by lovely accommodation. A cosy cottage with a wood burning stove for a quiet night in. Super fast WiFi and Netflix added to the enjoyment. Having a convenience store (Londis) right next door made things super easy. Would love to stay again. Dr Barnard (August 2018)
Cottage was very comfotable and cosy and had good facilities Special thanks to Alison for the Ginger biscuits and the bottle of wine for us on our arrival. Would definately stay here again. Mr Brown (August 2018)
Easy access by train or bus to nearby places such as Bridlington, Driffield and Beverley in the village. Two pubs both with Greek offerings rather amazingly. Highly recommended by us and our two doggos! And thanks for the wine Miss Swallow (July 2018)
The owner was very helpful and caring without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Customer 12
Sykes were brilliant at speedily creating the booking for me, contacting the owners and ensuring I had all the info I needed before I set off. The cottage itself is charming. Unfortunately I was not on holiday but at work in the area for 3 days, it was a perfect home from home. Very comfortable and homely with everything you need for a short stay. I particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove, Netflix availability and the convenience of a shop right next door. Highly recommended. Customer 13

Out of the house left down to the water and ducks turn right up the slope with the big church on your right ... the pub is there. Great selection of Gins and decent beer. There are other pubs but this is by far the best. Very quiet little village. The WiFi in the cottage is super fast and a little welcome tray of goodies awaits. Light the fire sit back and enjoy. We did. Customer 14
