Communication with the property manager was faultless. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return to the blue door again. Mr Briggs (April 2019)
Excellent accom in peaceful quiet surroundings very handy for city 5 min walk and canal nearby Lots of places to vist nearby. Everything first class in house hope to return Nigel V (March 2019)
Our second stay at the Blue Door, love this place! A very clean and well kept house, owner Tony is a super guy and only too pleased to try and help if you need anything. It's an easy walk of about five minutes into town or for a stroll along the ancient city walls. The Shropshire Union Canal is even closer, with some nice walks along the towpath. It's an easy walk of about five minutes into town or for a stroll along the ancient city walls. The Shropshire Union Canal is even closer, with some nice walks along the towpath. Chester Racecourse is also just minutes walk from the house. It's great to be able to leave the car parked on the driveway and just walk to all of the historic sites in Chester - or to the excellent shopping if that's more your thing! Within five munutes drive along the Sealand Road is a large retail park with many stores and supermarkets. We'll certainly be back to stay again. Jon W (December 2018)
Clean and well equipped. Customer 5
Stayed as a group of girls. The house was spotless and well equipped. 3 large double rooms easily accommodated 5 of us. Chester centre is a 5 min walk away and there is a very reasonable car park just around the corner. The property manager is very approachable if you need him and gave us some great advice on where to go and eat etc. A great stay, I would highly recommend! Customer 6
We will be keeping this on our short list for the Area - the men were delighted with the property. Good communication from the owner also. Customer 7
We enjoyed the house, it was just right for 4 adults and the bathroom facilities were great. Beds very comfy, we all slept well! The kitchen had a good layout and all we needed with respect to appliances and dishes and cutlery. In short, a great place for a break! Customer 8
All you need and more. Clean, modern and spacious house for the family. Second time we have stayed and would highly recommend to anyone as it did not disappoint the second time round. Also very friendly Street the house is located in Customer 9
We had a very nice stay at the blue door. The house was clean and in a great location for a five minute walk in to Chester which has a vast array of shops and lots of character. Also nicely situated for a walk on the walls or along the canal side or to Chester racecourse. The train station was about a 15 minute walk , there’s a very nice pub just outside the station which was handy for a quick breakfast before catching the train. Much easier to catch train to Liverpool than drive, train fares very reasonable too. Customer 10
The house was very clean and perfectly placed to go to Liverpool and very close to the centre of Chester, the canal and the wall around Chester .We were based 5 minutes from an extremely nice pub that served lovely meals, Telfords Warehouse. Coming from living in a bungalow it was good exercise going up and down the stairs! Chester was a really sweet place to visit and again a couple of nice pubs called The Pied Bull in the centre of Chester and The Cellar, 5 minutes from the station were also recommended for food and atmosphere. The surrounding countryside was very scenic and if you get the chance to go a little further a field Snugbury's ice cream parlour was an amazing taste explosion! All in all a very relaxing holiday and plenty of room for 4 adults. Customer 11
Tony was very accommodating and helpful we would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to explore Chester and the surrounding area. Customer 12

The Blue Door is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The outside space is a bonus. A short walk into the town so no need to use the car. Although it stipulates the house is on three floors it would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Ray and Pat Customer 14
The location is ideal for exploring Chester, as the city centre is a 5 or 10 minute walk. The house is located in a very quiet area, so no traffic noise, or anything like that. The house is very comfortable, and very well equipped. The beds are particularly comfortable, and the bedrooms are a good size. I have nothing negative to say about this property, we had a wonderful holiday, and we will be staying again next year. Customer 15
Very nice house, everything you would want and a short walk to the city walls and canal. Cheap and easy transport to Liverpool so dont need a car. Only down side was parking for one car. Customer 16
Mr Davenport was very welcoming and the accommodation was as described, comfortable with very good facilities. We would recommend The Blue Door without reservation Customer 17
Nice and handy for the town and a short walk along the walls to the racecourse. Ideal! Customer 18
Also king size bed on top floor was very uncomfortable compared with one next floor down. Customer 19
We had a lovely week at the Blue door, the house is immaculately clean and warm. And only a very short walk up the hill to the town centre which is such a lovely place to visit. Lots of restaurants close by you don't need to drive anywhere. Parking at the blue door is for one car only which was great for us as most of the week it was only my husband and myself. Our son came to visit us for the weekend and found free parking on the next street along but this is not available during the week, although there is a pay carpark by the railway station 5 minutes away. We never fully found out how to work the Apple T.V. as there was no instructions but this was our fault as we could have asked. The Wi-Fi was great and very fast. Please remember when you visit to bring everything you need to start you off i.e. salt/pepper milk dishwasher tablets etc but if you forget the shops are so near it’s not a problem . I loved cooking in the large kitchen but couldn’t cook lasagne or casserole as we couldn’t find an oven dish to cook this in, however there is oven trays and pots and pans so all good. We had a lovely week in a lovely house in a lovely town. We would very much recommend this property Customer 20

Having stayed a few times around the Chester area, at various other locations , and to varying degrees of satisfaction, this is by far and away the best we've been to . The location is superb , with short walks to all the interesting parts the city has to offer . Having young children, I was looking for something that would not only be well located but give us the comfort we would get in a quality hotel ....it didn't disappoint . Tony, the owner , was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was what we wanted. The property itself is excellent , clean and spacious, as well as having every thing you would expect in a modern home. The kids felt like they were at home and were really sad to leave. We are hoping to visit the city in early summer and will make this our first choice... Customer 22
Can’t wait to come back Customer 23
Tony was great. Communication was excellent and the house is amazing. Can’t wait to come back. Parking is very easy ( in front of the house ) and it’s a 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Everything was perfect ! Customer 24
Gorgeous property that is clearly well looked after. Had everything that we three girls needed, including comfy sofas to lounge around on. Lovely peaceful place, with excellent off road parking, but within walking distance of the town centre. Customer 25
A comfortable and well equipped house in a good location, a few minutes walk from the centre. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, who was very helpful and welcoming. Customer 26
Very clean and quiet property. Convenient for the city center. The owner was very helpful and couldn't have done any more. I would stay there again. Customer 27
The blue door is situated a 5 minute walk from the city centre and a 2 minute walk from the canal - for walking/running along. Its a stunning place to visit with lots of history. We spent a week here and genuinely did not want to come home! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. Its very comfortable and spacious. It was cleaned to a very high standard and decorated beautifully. The area is very quiet for being so close to the centre. There are so many restaurants close by you don't have to drive anywhere. We would love to visit again soon and recommend the blue door to anyone wishing to visit Chester. Customer 28
Would definitely book this accommodation again. Customer 29
Bright, clean and very comfortable, with lovely decor and fab shower! Chester is a great place, with lots to do and see, we will return. Customer 30
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Nice walks along the towpath, easy access (on foot) to Chester City Centre, wonderful places nearby to eat and drink. We hope to return! Customer 31
