) right in the centre of Rye. Really well equipped accommodation, very comfortable. Mrs Vickerman (May 2021)
The twin room ideal for children. It is situated very close to the town, bars and restaurants. No back garden. But a lovely place to sit and enjoy the estuary and boats a few hundred meters away. Would love to go back to the house again. Mrs Parsons (September 2020)
The location is superb. Everything was clean and convenient, even with Covid restrictions meaning some home comforts could not be provided. We would book again. Miss Welch (September 2020)
The house is very well located, 5 minutes walk from the supermarket and easy access to the old town. For our party of 5, it was well equipped and not too noisy. The parking space was a useful bonus. All in all thoroughly recommended. Mr Polkinghorne (August 2020)
only downside is the noise at night if have windows open (people from pub and seagulls) but clean and comfortable. Bray (July 2020)
The owner had made the effort to decorate the place for Christmas and a very good welcome pack was provided reflecting the Christmas spirit. We would thoroughly recommend staying there. Mr Parsons (December 2019)
Great location so close to all that Rye has to offer. The host provided good information and left a welcome supply of milk, biscuits, wine and a welcome card. We would recommend this house etc to there’s - good for couples, friends and families. Ms Hall (October 2019)
The problem was down to the internet provider not the owners, thay were as quick as they could to fix the problem and always informed me of the current situation. Need more information on that you need to take the bin out , didn't know I could open the windows in the loft/roof that needs explaining more. Everything else was beyond my expertation for the price of this fantastic house in the town of Rye. Mr Mathieson (July 2019)
Mum could not manage it. Mrs Norman (July 2019)
Would highly recommend it. Mrs Moss (May 2019)
Everything had been provided including some wine, milk and cookies. The property is scrupulously clean and perfectly situated to enjoy Rye on foot; we had a wonderful holiday and we would highly recommend it. The only things to be aware of is that it can be intermittently noisy if you like to have the windows open at nighttime. Mrs Thorner (May 2019)
The booking was easy. The owner of the property e-mailed all instructions needed and supplied lots of information for us. The house was exactly as stated, also very clean and comfortable with a welcome present of biscuits and wine. We couldn't have asked for better. Miss Hale (April 2019)
We appreciated the little touches upon our arrival, as well as the opportunity to arrive earlier in the day. A big plus, considering the location really in town is the attached parking lot, large enough for a large family car. Mrs Felix (March 2019)
We appreciated the little touches upon our arrival, as well as the opportunity to arrive earlier in the day. A big plus, considering the location really in town is the attached parking lot, large enough for a large family car. We were not at all bothered by the noise, given the proximity of the pub. in short, I think we'll come back next year Mrs Felix (March 2019)
Not only was there a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, but a lovely welcome pack with all sorts of goodies. The house was so comfy, warm and welcoming, and far more spacious than we were expecting. Not only was there a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, but a lovely welcome pack with all sorts of goodies. The house was so comfy, warm and welcoming, and far more spacious than we were expecting. The kitchen was the best equipped I have ever seen, but it was also all the thoughtful little details that made it such a lovely place to stay, like the miniature models on the light pulls. The high street of Rye is very close by, and is utterly charming to explore. Favourite memory is being by the church with bells ringing and lights twinkling as darkness fell on Christmas eve. We also enjoyed being able to go for lengthy walks on the beaches, despite the time of year - getting plenty of fresh air. There was lots more we could have done, so I would definitely go again to continue exploring the area further. A fabulous place to stay at this time of year, we were sorry to leave! Dr Middleton (December 2018)
It was immaculate and suited our needs perfectly. The location is ideal for the centre of town and the off street parking was essential for the bonfire weekend. Miss Pattison (November 2018)
A beautiful house in a great location! The house is clean has been decorated beautifully, stylish and comfy! Upon our arrival there was a lovely note from the host wishing us a pleasant stay which was such a nice touch! The house is within walking distance to the main town area where we enjoyed some delicious meals! I didn’t want my weekend to end! Thank you x Lydia H (July 2018)
I had a wonderful time staying here with 3 of my friends, the house is lovely and has everything you would need, Karen left us some well needed supplies of wine and biscuits, we couldn't have asked for a better host! Everything in the house was spotless! The location of the house is a stones through from the town and was lovely to explore - you are close to pubs, restaurants, shops, you couldn't get a better located house. I highly recommend having brunch in Hayden's coffee shop and restaurant, it was delicious. I will definitely be returning if they will have me! Thank you so much x Charl36 (July 2018)
From the outset the owner was friendly and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. The location, right in the centre of rye is fantastic. Days spent on the seaside and in the beautiful countryside of Kent and East Sussex. Nights spent in the beautiful historical town of rye with a 1 minute walk to our beds! Perfect for the Christmas festival. (Don’t miss Marino’s fish and chips 30sec walk up the road! Best I’ve had in years!). The house was immaculate and everything thought of. Thank you; we will be back! mattvicmumdad (July 2018)
The house was spotless and the facilities were great. The only thing that we could find wrong which we were warned about was the Pub behind the house which was noisy on Friday and Saturday nights but only really affected the back bedroom. Otherwise perfect. Mr Blunt (July 2018)
Cottage easy to find, information given was excellent. Central location. The locals were very friendly especially in the Pipemakers Arms, the pub next door. Rye is a lovely friendly destination. Mrs Crofts (July 2018)
The House A Tardis of beautifully presented bedrooms, spotless bathrooms and a very comfortable living space. The house was more than I was expecting. The interiors are neutral and so welcoming with the beds made up to a standard a hotel would envy. I was expecting, having an ensuite room, meant I would be subject to a whisper of a bathroom, but a light filled shower room awaited me. I could not have been more pleased! The Location The house is brilliantly located for all of the wonderful sites of Rye. You are never more than 5 minutes walk from anywhere, including a fantastically atmospheric pub (The Ship Inn) which, even on a cold night in February, provided fantastic revelry for our weekend away. We were able to park our car at the property meaning we even went further afield to explore some amazing sites near-by such as Dungeness (has to be seen to be believed). But we didn't want to spend too much time away from Rye itself as its such a gorgeous place. The Hosts Not only were we provided with a welcome pack (including wine!) on arrival we found a brilliant booklet full of ideas and tips for the area. The pack was bang up to date and you can tell throughout the house that the hosts have taken a lot of care in making the house a brilliant haven for guests. kae-travels (July 2018)
This is a lovely little house, very clean and very comfortable. Close to shops with a great coffee shop a few steps away, plenty of opportunities to eat out and some lovely little pubs close by. There was so much to see and do we will definitely be coming back. Gina R (July 2018)
Fantastic position in the centre of Rye. The pub next door, added to our experience because even though there was loud music & live band playing, it was our kind of music so we could sing along. We wouldn't hesitate in booking again,in fact we can't wait !! Mrs Carratt (May 2018)
Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights there was very loud music and people noise until the early hours. Saturday especially as there was live music until 1.00am but noise continued until 2.30am. The ensuite room was the quietest but the other two bedrooms suffered badly. A big shame as an otherwise perfect location and property. Mrs Ingle (November 2017)
A real home-from-home. Owner was extremely helpful too. We'd definitely come back! Ms Roberts (July 2017)
Perfect weather made our stay wonderful and relaxing. The owner ensured everything was in place to ensure a stress free holiday. Mrs Gotheridge (June 2017)
The house was delightful, Rye is delightful, and the countryside around is delightful. If there is self-catering in Heaven, this house is there. Terence W (April 2017)
The location was within short walking distance of Rye's main attractions. Prof Oliver (February 2017)
I was really impressed with the owners communication before arrival as well as the extra little touches provided, it really made our Christmas extra special and was above and beyond. The cleanliness of the property was way above expectations and overall we could not have been happier with the house as a whole Miss Thetford (December 2016)
