Excellent cottage. We have need for ease of movement in accommodation as my partner is disabled and here the property had plenty of room allowing ease of movement internally , all was on the level including external access from road ,( though there is a large step down from the parking area , so we parked car after my partner was in the cottage) Well equipped and suited our needs admirably . The owners were very helpful with forwarding at their cost item we had left behind would certainly ... Mr Newitt (November 2017)
Cottage was clean, well equipped & very cosy with an open log fire which was great in the evenings after long days out. Location was excellent for reaching all the areas we wanted to visit. Definitely to be recommended Sue R (November 2017)
Lovely cottage in a quiet area, close enough to all areas we wanted to see along Northumberland coast. Cottage was well appointed & cosy , especially with a log fire at night . Double bed was very comfortable. Would definitely book again Miss Rae (October 2017)
really comfortable clean warm well equipped cottage in a lovely quiet village ,I would love to return in fact we didn't want to leave, ideal for families or couples like us that are not as agile has we used to be Mrs Hardy (September 2017)
We are currently enjoying a lovely week in this cosy cottage. We are a family with two young children. The cottage is perfect. Not too large but that does not bother us. The facilities are all on one floor. You enter down a small step into the foyer. Off this is the kitchen and living room. A corridor leads off from the other side of the living room which leads to the two bedrooms and family bathroom. The cottage is well appointed with everything that you could need on a holiday. The bookshelf is full of useful books and guides. The open fire is mesmerizing on an evening but is in addition to the efficient central heating. The cottage has WIFI which we find is essential with two young children. The bathroom has a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The cottage is in a small quiet village with no facilities but again we did not find this a negative point, we enjoyed the tranquility. There are shops and pubs only a short drive away. We found the cottage to be an excellent stepping off point for many of the big tourists attractions in the area. In summary, I would certainly book this property again. DaveJnr (August 2017)
Lovely cottage with very welcoming and accommodating hosts :) Miss Selby (April 2017)
Good facilities, very well equipped. A great location to explore the area. Amazing array of information about the area, numerous books, maps and leaflets. A lovely cosy cottage. Was great for the two of us but feel feel it would be a bit cramped for 4 adults. Although would be suitable for a young family. Would certainly love to return to explore again in a different season. Mrs Jordan from York (November 2016)

A character cottage with attention to detail. It felt like a home from home. One of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. A good place for visiting all the surrounding places of interest. Mr Pullan from Belper (September 2014)
Very clean and comfortable cottage, with off road parking. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at the cottage with everything there that we needed.Only a stones throw away from some of the best beaches and coast lines you will ever see,and at night you could almost hear a pin drop.Only criticism is the double bed was a tad to hard and took some getting used to, but this is down to personal choice. The kitchen and bathroom were functional and the living room cosy at night.Overall a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hum drum of everyday life,a good place to recharge your batteries. Ivan H (September 2014)
