Showcaves were amazing, quackery, carantef farm park, élan valley. Family were so friendly. Very clean bungalow and hot tub so lovely. Think James mum and dad are going to book! Shame to come home! Mrs Voysey from Colyton (October 2016)
Every year 5 of us like to take a late holiday somewhere in the UK and as 2 of the party are disable we try to rent a bungalow so this year we decided to come to Wales and we are so pleased that we did. On arrival we were greeted with a very nice welcome pack and a very spacious clean place that would be our home for the next week. The kitchen come diner has everything that you could possibly want in it and the bedrooms were also very spacious. You will find within easy driving distance a lot of places to visit from the Brecon Beacons to the south to Snowdonia to the north our personal highlight was a trip to a Red Kite feeding station a must by anyone visiting this area. With the addition of a Hot-Tub and patio area this bungalow is well worth anyone considering a holiday in Wales. Just like to thank Ruth for making our stay very comfortable and hopefully we will be back Robert C (October 2016)
This was our second stay at Gwynfan and it was like returning home. The bungalow is beautiful and very well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. The views from the front are spectacular and a well kept garden surrounds it. The large garage is so useful for leaving walking boots and wet coats and drying wet dogs! The lounge has an open fireplace and your first basket of logs is supplied free, more logs in garage at a nominal charge. This year the owner has installed a hot tub and gazebo both in a safely enclosed area also with far reaching views. There are some lovely walks from the bungalow and many places of interest a short drive away. Elan Valley reservoirs are well worth a visit also the Red Kite feeding station near Rhayader. Sometimes the track away from the bungalow can become a bit muddy when wet so you will need boots, but this is only to be expected near a busy working farm. All in all this is a beautiful place to have a peaceful, relaxing break and we loved it and hope to return again. Jane D (October 2016)
Excellent location, very clean, well equipped and Ruth was the perfect host. Very peaceful and quiet. Central location to all that you could possibly require with everything in easy driving distance. Mr & Mrs Smith from Pembroke (September 2016)
The bungalow was lovely and spacious in a nice quiet location. If you're looking for somewhere to relax then this is the place to go. Made very welcome by Ruth. Beautiful views from the house over the surrounding hills. Would love to go back at some point and spend longer there. Miss Peach from Wigan (September 2016)
The owner was very helpful. We liked just looking at fields and sheep with no traffic. We hope to go back soon. Mr & Mrs Webster from Bracknell (April 2016)
In a fabulous location away from the city lights with a stunning view over the Welsh countryside and, when the clouds parted at night, the night sky. It was a very well presented and laid-out cottage, which allowed me, my wife and our friends to choose to be together or to be doing our own thing. The games tables in the garage were particularly appreciated by my brother-in-law's son! Mr Shenton from Rugeley (December 2015)
We liked the spacious property which was clean, nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. The large lounge was especially suitable for our family. We also enjoyed the seclusion and privacy at the cottage, as we wanted a quiet, peaceful and uninterrupted vacation. Mrs Hussain from Birmingham (August 2015)
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and it was reassuring at the end of every day that we were returning to a lovely clean bungalow with everything we needed to relax! Mrs Robinson from Mansfield (August 2015)
Gwynfan Bungalow was a lovely place to stay, we all really enjoyed our time there. It is a great base from which to explore the rolling Welsh countryside. It was remote enough to give us the privacy we required but was within easy reach of Llandrindod Wells and its amenities. The owners were very friendly and it was a pleasure to meet them. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone! Mr Olsen from Leeds (July 2015)
Overall an excellent bungalow and location. Mrs Dixon from Lytham St. Annes (July 2015)
It was a very peaceful location (perfect for children who make a lot of noise!). The cottage was spacious, clean and well maintained. Mrs Wakeman from Faversham (May 2015)
The views from every room were wonderful and the peace and quiet was lovely. Would definitely return. Mrs Oliver from King'S Lynn (May 2015)
The Bungalow was extremely well equipped for a home from home peaceful getaway. Highly recommended! Mr Woolley from Cannock (April 2015)
Delightful bungalow in a wonderful location with great views. Mrs Sams from Bc (September 2014)
The accommodation was perfect for six adults and the bedrooms were nicely decorated. The garden area is lovely with the most amazing views. The owners were very friendly - we will definitely be back. Mrs Reading from High Wycombe (May 2014)
Firstly, a big thank you to Ruth and David who were great and very accommodating. We stayed here for 2 nights, although we could have stayed for 3 as that is the minimum stay. The views are fabulous and the road is private, surrounded by fields. The facilities are clean and well equipped. Having a seating area at the front of the property is good; it would be super in the Summer to have a BBQ and enjoy the countryside. The utility and garage are handy for muddy boots and coats. The only downside is having only 1 family bathroom, but the garage loo is very useful. The first basket of logs are free thereafter each bag is charged at a cost of £2.50. This is an excellent idea and not one we have seen in any other holiday rental. There is plenty of parking, which allowed us to park two cars and a trailer. It is approximately 2.5 miles for Llandridnod. Be aware that the lane to the property is not signposted, but there is a square salt bin on the left and a stone barn wall on the right. We were taking part in another event, but there are plenty of good walks in the area. Overall, a great bungalow in a wonderful location . Claire R (March 2014)
Friendly owners. A nice property, very quiet, we loved the peace. Mrs Broomfield from Southampton (November 2013)
The house was very well presented by the owner. It was a pleasure to walk into. Everything was explained well and we had no problems whilst we were there. The place was immaculate. The views from the house were amazing, The Welsh Hills and rolling farmland. Lots to see around the area and some wonderful sightings of Red Kites. A great holiday. Mr Houghton from Chichester (October 2013)
We liked every thing! The bungalow was lovely, and we just loved the peace and quiet, and lovely views. We would love to stay again, we have stayed in so many holiday homes in the last 25 years, and this is one of the best. Mrs Howarth from Cheltenham (August 2013)
The bungalow was very comfortable and felt just like a home from home. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming considering we had booked at very short notice. The flowers, wine and Welsh cakes were greatly appreciated as well as the milk tea and coffee left for us. The kitchen is very well equipped and all the rooms are furnished to a high standard. We wouldn't hesitate to book again. Ms Hughes from Wantage (June 2013)
