The hosts had left a Welcome Gift, which is a very though full gift. We have stayed in a few different places and this has never happened before, what wonderful hosts they are. Mr Daly (April 2019)
For anybody thinking of booking there are no doubts about it we would go back again. ... Mrs Ashton (August 2018)
.extremely clean & well equipped. We found the beds really quite hard to sleep on but other than that no real complaints about the upstairs. The only issue we had with the downstairs was that the washing machine was very noisy when we used it so we were worried about using it again...we did message Sykes about this but heard nothing which was not helpful atall...so we left a note for the cleaner/owner. Shame there was no ironing board as there was an iron, bit other than that this cottage is well equipped as I said, very comfortable & in a nice quiet area. Red Lion pub at the end of the road serves good food & has great staff. Happy to recommend & would return. Mrs Malbon (July 2018)
Owner left us some basic supplies to start us off, which was very much appreciated. Bed was extremely comfortable. My only (minor) gripes are that I would have liked some net to the front window, for security, and there wasn't a single clock in the place! But these are not deal breakers. All in all I would recommend this holiday property. Mr Gibbard (June 2018)
The onsite accommodation was fully booked so we booked this lovely cosy cottage close by . It proved a warm and welcoming retreat at the end of each day of conference and added to the enjoyment of a wonderful week. The cottage has been completely refurbished very thoughtfully and we enjoyed it so much we've booked again for next year! Dr Jefferies (April 2018)
The owners have gone to such length to make sure that our stay was very comfortable and that we didn’t need anything. They paid more than the usual attention to details. Mr Mansour (February 2018)
Great location for a base to go exploring from. We will book again!! Customer 7
Very clean and tidy. Tastefully decorated, it felt very homely, cosy. Well appointed kitchen, we lacked for nothing. There was a little welcome package of food stuffs which was a nice touch and much appreciated. It really is nice place to come back to after a full day out of sightseeing or exploring the area. If you don’t feel like preparing your evening meal, the Red Lion is a two minute walk, where really decent meals are served. We wanted a quick break away from work, but on our last morning, neither were ready to leave and we both wished we’d taken a few more days off ! I will recommend Bwthyn Gwyn to family and friends and we plan on a return visit. Teresa & John Customer 8
For anybody thinking of booking there are no doubts about it we would go back again. The owner left the essentials which was great for us to get started- milk, bread, tea cakes and butter and even choccies and some sweets too. I am very much a worrier when it comes to cleanliness and the cottage was spotless I think even the skirting boards were clean which is saying something!! Plenty of towels- even contacted to bring more later in the week and beds very comfy. The road is quite busy so I can see why it's not suitable for young children due to the pace at which the cars fly through but I believe this is being looked into. The shop nearby and pubs have everything you'd need locally and a good distance between all the local areas too. We had a fantastic time and I'd highly recommend to anyone!! Thanks for a lovely stay!! Customer 9
