The cottage itself was immaculate and gave us everything we needed and we were extremely comfortable there. Perfect for a relaxing break with wonderful walks on the doorstep and great base to explore the local area. Hopefully next time we visit the weather will be equally wonderful. Mrs Goodson (February 2019)
The cottage was lovely and very clean. The hosts made us feel very welcome. This location is ideal and a great location with beautiful beaches at Fairbourne, Barmouth and Tywyn well worth a visit. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Mr Burns (September 2018)
Had the most amazing time here, nice and quiet location. Lots of beautiful scenery and the owners are great people. The cottage has everything you need. We didn't want to come home. Christopher L (August 2018)
The cottage was Great, nice and clean , great big bed. Had a great nights sleep every night. We had a great relaxing stay. The couple next door (Sorry I have forgotten there names) were very nice. If you needed anything you only had to ask. The only thing I was disappointed with was the garden. The view was great but the hedge was a bit high. If the garden was as nice as the inside it would be fantastic. Even though we would love to go back. Mrs Johnson (July 2018)
Lots of walks to do a perfect location to relax after a day out. Mrs Hill (July 2018)
Looking for a well situated, peaceful retreat. Well this is it. It has all that you need for a relaxing break and close enough to all areas should you wish to explore. big bonus if you enjoy watching nature :-) Lynval W (July 2018)
We enjoyed 6 lovely sunsets out of a possible 7. The cottage is cosy - but little in way of views when inside but we were able to make the most of the patio with lovely views across the bay for most of our meals. Excellent walks immediately from the property and within a short drive. Highly recommended. Dr Beakes (June 2018)
Peaceful, beautiful and fantastic views. Mr Walker (June 2018)
My partner and I booked the cottage for a long weekend. Hosts, who live just next door, were very friendly and helpful, and were immediately reachable but in no way intruding. It was clear that they would have been happy to help should be have had any queries or concerns (fortunately we didn't). The cottage itself was extremely clean and very well-equipped, the kitchen facilities were excellent and the super king sized bed was a super king sized bonus! Really tasteful decor and lovely garden and outside area- we were lucky enough to have lovely weather and so ate outside most nights surrounded by wonderful views and wildlife. A short but enjoyable walk from the cottage takes you to the Blue Lake, well worth a visit. There are various other walks near by, and the towns of Fairbourne and Barmouth very local to eat out or for a day of exploring. There was also extensive literature in the cottage detailing places of note in the area. The only suggestion for improvement would be to provide bigger bath towels, but we were pleasantly surprised that towels were supplied at all. Overall a really great holiday in a really lovely cottage. Miss Carter (May 2018)
Lots of lovely walks and things to see. The owners Annabel and Pete were very friendly. We would definitely go back. Mrs Kavanagh (April 2018)
The only problem is having to open the farm gate to access the road up to the property especially at this time of year you need some old boots on and a four wheel drive vehicle Mr Gorthorpe (December 2017)
The countryside - hills, birdlife, etc. is just outside the back or front door. On a par with the better youth hostels, but with better facilities and no regimentation. Mr Ray (October 2017)
is just outside the back or front door. On a par with the better youth hostels, but with better facilities and no regimentation. Economical. Retail facility in Fairbourne is a bit limited. Mr Ray (October 2017)
Fantastic cottage beautiful location, Friendly and informative owners gave great info regarding local and not so local walks . Have stayed here previously and shall definitely stop again. Mr Campbell (April 2017)
We had a fabulous holiday, exactly what we needed. Mr Davies from Usk (October 2016)
Great cottage, plenty of walks to do. Would recommend walking to the blue lake. Lovely views of the coast from the cottage. Mr Jones from Crewe (September 2016)
It is a beautiful peaceful location. It is so nice to be able to go on walks from the cottage. Mrs Rupa from Walsall (August 2016)
Bryn Meurig Bach is a very special place. The view from the garden is absolutely amazing. The garden itself is very beautiful and attracts birds and lots of butterflies. The cottage is cosy with a beautiful loft bedroom and everything one might need. It's located in a brilliant place where there is everything: the cost, mountains, lakes, rivers and woods. Mr Bolshakov from London (August 2016)
Very peaceful and beautiful location and friendly hosts, even Malcolm the Jack Russel enjoyed himself! The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Many thanks! Mr Stone from Maidstone (August 2016)
The whole experience was simply great and the hospitality of the owners was the icing on the cake. The cosiness of the cottage with the terrace garden and sea views were wonderful and we will consider staying again. Mr Jennings from Banbury (July 2016)
The views from the back garden were outstanding, especially with the sunsets. We really enjoyed looking at all the stars through the open windows in the roof and listening to the owls and the bats, not something you get living in a town. Mrs Rennie from Huyton (May 2016)
A cosy, comfortable cottage with stunning views, outstanding walks and peace and quiet. All in all we had a great week and hope to go again next year. Mr Webster from Derby (May 2016)
Wonderful location , stunning views from garden and friendly helpful hosts . Don't hesitate to book , you won't regret it . Will visit again hopefully . Katrns B (April 2016)
Set up a very rutted farm track, it's really not suitable for anything other than a 4x4, which thankfully I had. The views from the rear garden are lovely and its situation is prefect for hill walkers and is extremely close to The Blue Lake (in the hills opposite the cottage). Very friendly and helpful owners and the cottage itself was clean & well presented. My only little niggle was that with poor eyesight (I need glasses for long distance), I found the very small, wall mounted TV was so far from the sofa, that I had trouble seeing what was going on and couldn't read the text at all. Definitely an upgrade to a larger TV when funds allow. I didn't use the TV in the bedroom, as to me it's just somewhere to sleep - so instead of two TVs, perhaps just the one large one would make more sense, especially when the night's draw-in and the weather turns nasty and all one can do is snuggle up on the sofa and watch a DVD etc. Mark J (December 2015)

We liked the charm of the cottage and its surroundings. The cottage has everything you need in it; linen, cutlery, crockery, towels, and a TV upstairs and down. It is small and simple but cosy and welcoming. There are lots of beautiful walks from the front door as well as a short drive away. The owners next door were so friendly and helpful. There are a couple of shops and restaurants in Fairbourne nearby and Barmouth is also worth a visit. We appreciated being able to bring the dog with us too. Miss Lau from Ipswich (November 2015)
Excellent accommodation in a quiet and peaceful location. Mr Hough from Maesteg (September 2015)
The owners of this property were so friendly and helpful. We were made to feel completely at home. It was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could really need. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We had our own little garden , with seating and a great view over to the sea - a beautiful setting to enjoy any meal or just a cuppa. There were plenty of local guides, maps and attractions leaflets available to read, so we were never short of ideas for activities. We particularly enjoyed going to the local chippy. We have very happy memories of our stay and would definitely stay again. Lindsey B (September 2015)
The cottage was very cosy with a very comfortable bed. The owner gave good suggestions of things to do and we went on the Ffestiniog railway which my daughter really enjoyed. The scenery was amazing from the garden. Mrs Pickett from Brierley Hill (July 2015)
Great accommodation and a great location if you like the countryside. Had great hosts and in our case great weather, what more could one ask for. Mr Lavender from Hengoed (April 2015)
In a quiet, rural location close to beaches and mountains with plenty of interest in the locality. The owners of the property were friendly and helpful. Mr Townsend from Manchester (March 2015)
A lovely little cottage - great views and great location. Highly recommended. Mr Bolton from Stoke-On-Trent (February 2015)
Great location. It was our first time in this area, had a wonderful time with so much to do - lots of walking, cycling and relaxing. The cottage was very cosy and a great place to act as a base. We particularly loved the massive bed which was very welcome after a long day's walking. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. We would very much like to go back again. Mr Haigh from Huddersfield (February 2015)
The cottage was ideal for 2 people plus our dog. It was cosy and had everything we could have wished for. Mr Clark from Saffron Walden (December 2014)
Beautiful place, a lovely cottage and friendly owners. Ms Daley from Oswestry (November 2014)
The scenery was outstanding. Mr Holland from Chester (October 2014)
This is a place to forget all work problems and just relax we will most certainly be booking this property again. Mr Myatt from Telford (July 2014)
Remoteness and views especially the sunset was excellent. Mr Griffiths from Chester (April 2014)
A really lovely holiday let with very friendly and helpful owners. Mrs Vaughan from Grimsby (March 2014)
The cottage was a very nice and cosy. The bed is very comfortable, and the bedroom is lovely. We had a very relaxing time, which is what we needed. There are some lovely walks, and it was not far from the beach. The views are stunning. The owners are very friendly. Miss Dunn from Kingswinford (November 2013)
Good location, perfect for a quiet relaxing break. Friendly helpful owners. Comfortable cottage with everything needed available. Mrs Jones from Stourbridge (October 2013)
The cottage was very comfortable, and the owners very friendly and helpful. Mr Holland from Chester (September 2013)
The accommodation is excellent, and lovely walks nearby. Beautiful position. Mr Anthony from Gloucester (September 2013)
We stayed at this lovely little cottage at the end of May 2013. The location was perfect for lovely walks and visiting, Harlech, Barmouth, Criccieth etc. On arrival we found the property to be lovely and clean and well equipped with towels, crockery, storage etc. The owners live next door and are very welcoming and helpful. The garden was beautiful at this time of year with all the flowers and shrubs in bloom. The weather was kind to us this week so we took advantage of the lovely garden and ate alfresco most nights while admiring the wonderful sea and mountain views. I would definately stay at this property again. Great location, lovely walks with our dog, wonderful views and a very high standard of accomodation- "Perfect Holiday" A FlipKey verified reviewer (August 2013)
The cottage was lovely and peaceful. Mrs Borthwick from Galashiels (July 2013)
A really well maintained small cottage ideal for 2 fairly fit people. The setting is superb for views over the Bay and mountains .The track up to the cottage is very uneven(watch out, low slung cars!)and parking not the easiest. The owners were very helpful and accommodating and an added bonus was the sight of the newly arrived pair of red kites .This cottage had the largest and most comfy bed we've encountered on holiday. A FlipKey verified reviewer (June 2013)
Great location with lovely views. Enclosed garden area for dog. Lovely, clean and comfortable accommodation. Owners friendly and helpful but not imposing. Ms Brown from Newton-Le-Willows (May 2013)
Very friendly helpful owners. Beautiful part of the countryside and great views of the sunset over the sea from the garden. Mrs Hyde from Leicester (April 2013)
A very well organised cottage in a beautiful environment with a very kind, friendly and helpful host. Dr Sharif from Orpington (April 2013)
Great property, very friendly and informative hosts. The setting is fantastic, with terrific views over Fairbourne and Cardigan Bay. We were lucky to witness a wonderful sunset over the Llyn Peninsular. The super large bed was extremely comfy. An added bonus is the newly arrived Red Kites who circled overhead most days. All in all a very good choice! Mr Basketter from Sale (April 2013)
We had a very enjoyable time and the cottage was excellent, I would recommend it highly. Mr Clift from Bilston (February 2013)
Lovely accommodation. Nice views from the cottage and very friendly people. Beautiful scenery in all directions, inland and coast. Relaxing holiday. Ms Walker from Spalding (September 2012)
It was the perfect place for our needs. Miss Cruttenden from Edenbridge (September 2012)

The location and standard of the cottage was excellent, and very relaxing. The scenery and access to many good walks straight from the door of the cottage was ideal. Mr Frampton from Exeter (August 2012)
The location of the cottage is superb. The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners is wonderful and the overall standard of the cottage is very high. Mrs Mcqueen from Wigan (July 2012)
The owners were really friendly and helpful and the walks were fantastic. A lovely relaxing, away from it all holiday. Mrs Mccann from Heywood (July 2012)
The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The owners were nice people - helpful and friendly. Mrs Barnett from Fordingbridge (May 2012)
The owners are very friendly, give lots of information on local walks. Cottage very clean, compact and warm. Patio area lovely, amazing views, lots of birds including a pair of buzzards and their offspring. Very little in the way of local amenities as this cottage is located in a very out of way place. There is a shop and excellent fish & chip shop in Fairbourne. Loved it because it is very quiet & very comfortable. You will need good walking legs cos the hills are very steep! The owners run a pottery and you can have a lesson if you wish. A FlipKey verified reviewer (December 2011)
A wonderfully renervated property with superb views overlooking Fairbourne. The owners were welcoming but not intrusive. A fabulous holiday ina home from home property which had everything you could possibly need. The property is about a 15 minute walk from the railway station in Fairbourne but it does involve a steep climb to the cottage - the owners were kind enough to pick us up and take us back to the stationwith our cases. A FlipKey verified reviewer (October 2011)
The location was ideal to access many attractive places without having to drive including main-line and historic, narrow guage railways. The views of the coast and sunsets were stunning from the garden. Mrs Biddulph from Sale (August 2011)
A beautiful located holiday let, with panoramic views. The owners were welcoming but not intrusive. Mrs Griffiths from Wednesbury (August 2011)
I loved the whole holiday and the pottery class was great. The owners are always happy to help and the views from the cottage are fantastic! Great for walkers and laid back for couples. Loved every minute of the holiday! Miss Escott from Studley (August 2011)
Bryn Meurig Bach is compact but contains everything 2 people need for a relaxing, quiet break in beautiful scenery. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Hales (August 2011)
We enjoyed a peaceful, tranquil stay at the cottage. The views were brilliant, the location wonderful for walkers like us and the facilities more than adequate. The owners were lovely, helpful and available for any queries or problems but otherwise kept a discreet distance. One obstacle was the steep, rugged vehicular ascent to the cottage but this was pointed out on booking. Lynne (August 2011)
The accommodation was in a beautifully relaxing area well away from the rat race of life with gorgeous views over Fairbourne and amazing sunsets over the sea. Ms Honey from Coventry (July 2011)
The cottage and views were amazing and our hosts were excellent, giving us advice on places to visit etc. Mrs Lawford from Holmfirth (July 2011)
We liked the comfortable rooms, especially the bedroom with a convenient king sized bed. Furthermore the kitchen was nice and well equipped and the lovely garden with a wonderful view to the sunset over the sea, offered a lot of nature. Additionally we received helpful and worthwhile hints from the owners, especially regarding walks up to the various mountains. Heinrich (July 2011)
