Arfron is a lovely cottage and the owners are wonderful. Mrs Stringer-woolston (June 2017)
These cottages are in an excellent quite location. Perfectly clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful without being intrusive. Although linked each cottage has a private front patio with outdoor chairs and table. You wouldn't know you had neighbours, probably due to the very thick walls. Right in the heart of the beautiful countryside but within easy reach of the local attractions and excellent walks, forests, water falls and mountains. We took our dog Hector and found that an area of hillside, fenced off was right next door solely for the dog to run around safely :) We would go here again. Ms Pyke from Barton-Upon-Humber (August 2016)
The location was ideal for us - quiet and secluded with stunning scenery. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and appeared to have thought of everything, particularly for visitors with a dog. Mr Schofield from Burnley (June 2016)
A truly lovely cottage. Wonderful area. The cottage itself was wonderfully equipped, very warm and cosy with a lovely welcome from the owners who were very friendly and approachable. We are definitely planning on returning one day. Mrs Davies from Hove (May 2016)
This is a well appointed, very cosy cottage that was more spacious than the photos suggest. The owners are fantastic hosts and very welcoming. We will definitely return to explore more of Snowdonia. Mrs Payne from Snodland (April 2016)
The owners were lovely and so helpful, can't fault them or the property. They had thought of everything you could possibly ever need. The property is just lovely too, very quaint. Dr Rosser from Liverpool (April 2016)
The view from Arfron, Penrhyddion Pella was amazing .The owner was very welcoming and whilst we didn't need any assistance I did feel that we could have asked and help would have been given. Whilst it is 3 properties made from one barn I felt it was surprisingly private. I cooked in the cottage each night and each utensil/item I needed was there. The owner had really thought about what was in the cupboards. Miss Schofield from Loughton (February 2016)
The cottage was perfect; warm, cosy and really well equipped. We had a fantastic weekend despite the wet weather and would definitely recommend it and hope to stay again. Mrs Duggan from Manchester (November 2015)
The cottage was in a peaceful location; not too far away from the nearest town, and very close to some very nice walks, which we enjoyed. It was very relaxing and had nice owners, they made you feel very welcome. Mr Moore from Wigton (May 2015)
This cottage is one of the best we stayed in, we can't find a fault with the cottage. The owners were very friendly on arrival and came and said goodbye on departure, will be going back. Mr Burley from Redditch (May 2015)
We were made very welcome and everything that we could want was provided. The owners were kind and attentive. The setting of the cottage was beautiful and well situated for exploring the surrounding area. We would highly recommend that if you are visiting North Wales you should try and stay at Arfron cottage! Mr Proctor from Kettering (July 2014)
The situation of the property was excellent, over looking the valleys and mountains, so peaceful and beautiful, if you want a quiet holiday away from it all, this is the place to come to. Our hosts very kindly left us some home made Welsh cakes and fresh milk for a welcome cup of tea. It was very much appreciated. Mr Beacom from South Croydon (April 2014)
Stayed at The Arfron from 31st Aug-6th Sept, all previous reviews are true, this is a wonderful place to stay. Kathy & John are fantastic hosts welcoming on the Saturday & saying goodbye on the Thursday evening. We had the best weather you could expect for September, sunny & warm most days. The cottage is spacious for 2, might be a little cramped for 4 adults, 1 bedroom as bunk beds. There is plenty of storage space though & the kitchen is the best equipped we have stayed in. The lane leading to the cottage can be a bit daunting to some but its less than 1/2 mile long, the bonus being not much traffic takes this road so walking the dog is a treat, the views from the lanes are a treat. Excellent base for touring Snowdonia, most places can be reached within the hour, Betws-y-Coed, Capel Curig,Llangollen,Llandudno & many others. The Ponty Pair hotel in Betws-y-Coed does good beer & pub grub as does the Swallow Falls hotel. Will definitely be returning soon. EH-Halifax (September 2013)
Very nice cottage, and owners, based in a beautiful and peaceful place. Mr Hruza from London (August 2013)
It was one of the nicest cottages that I have stayed in for a holiday. You were made to feel very welcome and it felt like home from home. It was ideal as it was away from everything and very isolated. If we go back to that area for another break I would definitely consider using the same cottage again. Mrs Chapman from Yeovil (August 2013)
This accommodation was very well equipped with a lot of extras provided as well as home made welsh cakes on our arrival. The owners were extremely helpful and were on call for any problems. The holiday let is in a lovely position up in the peaceful hills with a view of Snowdon, but near enough to local towns for shopping. Mrs Gilbert from Whitstable (June 2013)
Beautiful location and perfect cottage. Best equipped cottage we've ever stayed. Mrs Jones from Cardiff (August 2012)
We enjoyed the scenery and the beach at Porthmadog. Ms Dilliway from Hockley (June 2012)
Would go again. The little extras the owners supplied. The personal touch. Mr Partridge from Weymouth (June 2012)
A lovely cottage and friendly owners, well positioned for North Wales attractions. Mrs Wood from Tadcaster (May 2012)
The owners of the holiday cottage were lovely and very helpful. The cottage felt very homely and was in a wonderful setting. Mrs Flatt from Newmarket (September 2011)
We were made most welcome and helped when we needed it.The surrounding area had plenty of places to explore or peaceful enough just to chill out.Lots of walks close by and central enough for beaches, rail trips and Snowdonia. We had a great holiday up in the mountains. A FlipKey verified reviewer (September 2011)
The owners made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much for them. They even welcomed us when we arrived. This was the first time for me at this cottage and it won't be the last for sure. Also, this was an ideal location in the Snowdon range for all the beautiful walks we did. Mr Blackmore from Cleethorpes (August 2011)
The hosts were lovely people! Mrs Woodward from Burton-On-Trent (July 2011)
The owners were so welcoming and I felt that I could call them at any time. They made us feel very comfortable, more like friends than paying guests. Mr Jones from Croydon (June 2011)
Beautiful, lovely cottage with a beautiful view to the Snowdonia mountains. Boonstra (April 2011)
The location was excellent with views over the mountains, in a secluded location yet only a few miles from main routes. It was a very nice cottage, formed from a barn conversion with plenty of character and original stone work. The owners were friendly but situated remote enough not to feel you were invading their space. Overall a lovely holiday even with it raining for a couple of days! Mr Woodbridge from Lancing (August 2010)
The warm welcome we received was really lovely and made us feel very much at home. I have stayed in many self catering cottages in the past but I have never experienced a welcome quite like it. The cottage was lovely, beautifully clean and well presented in an idyllic setting. Mrs Lossin from Malmesbury (July 2010)
Everything! It was absolutely perfect. The cottage was gorgeous, the views were stunning and as a bonus, the weather was superb! We were able to barbecue every night. We went to walk and what a lovely walking area, we also climbed Snowdon. Absolutely fabulous! Can’t speak highly enough about it. Mrs Roby from Doncaster (June 2010)
Wonderful location. Compact but clean and well equipped. Mr Wilkinson from Ilminster (May 2010)
What a lovely cottage in a great location, definately recommend a visit and thanks to Mr & Mrs Bradley, by the way your welsh cakes were delicious. A FlipKey verified reviewer (April 2010)
very warm, cosy, lovely location, so serene, great landlords. my son enjoyed the sheep and horses they had, A FlipKey verified reviewer (December 2009)
A wonderfully relaxing week spent in a beautiful part of the world. Cottage was perfect, spotlessly clean with everything we needed, situated in a lovely location with beautiful views. Secluded, but still handy for the local village pub and Betws Y Coed with it's amenities and well marked walks etc. Owners very friendly and the Welsh cakes provided were the best I've tasted. Will definitely return. A FlipKey verified reviewer (December 2009)
Fantastic cottage ,clean and with every thing you need set in beautiful countryside.Tranquil and peaceful yet only a short drive to Betws-y-coed and in easy reach of Mt Snowdon.Loved everything about our stay there and did not want to come home. A FlipKey verified reviewer (December 2009)
