You've decided that a weekend away with the girls is on the cards - a hen weekend
if you will. Maybe you, or one of your friends, is getting married. Maybe there's a special
birthday coming up. Or, maybe, there isn't a special occasion at all - you just
want to have a hen party holiday with your friends. After all, why not - there's
no reason you have to have a special reason to book yourself a hen weekend holiday.
Rent a large holiday house or cottage for your hen party
Where to find a hen party holiday house
Whether you fancy the idea of a large holiday cottage in the UK, a
French Gite; or any number of large holiday homes around Europe, there are an
abundance of houses suitable for hen parties. From old manor houses offering 5 star luxury, to
unique houses suitable for hen parties. There really is plenty of choice. Some of those
hen party houses have extras to make sure you really enjoy your holiday: private hot tub anybody?
Private swimming pool? Personal chef? It's all possible when you choose a holiday cottage for your
A couple of examples - Napoleonic Fortress, Polden Hills House
There are far too many hen party holiday cottages for me to name-check here, although there are a couple
of holiday houses for a hen party I'd like to mention.
The Napoleonic Fortress in Hampshire - sleeps 18 people, and has a hot tub
The first holiday house for a hen party I'd like to mention is The Napoleonic Fortress, just off the Hampshire coast (see the photo above). How
about this for something a bit different. The Napoleonic Fortress sleeps 18 people, and comes with a private hot tub. Staying here would give you
a holiday you'll remember.
The second example of a hen party holiday house is Polden Hills House. Polden Hills House, shown in the photo above, can sleep up to 22 people (you'd
need a seriously large number of friends to fill Polden Hills House). Set in 22 acres of grounds, Polden Hills House offers you and your friends
plenty of space for a few days away; you can even have your own chef to cook for you.
It's not just the UK - try France, Italy and Spain
You can really push the boat out and venture overseas for your hen weekend. How about Villa Le Bassin in France. Located in the
Aquitaine region, Villa Le Bassin sleeps 16 people. Italy has a few nice houses for hen parties too, with
Villa Ripoli in Lazio (sleeps 16 people), Villa Del Lago near the Italian Lakes (sleeps 26 people), and Villa Feriale in Tuscany (sleeps 24 people) being just
a few of the Italian hen party holiday villas you can choose from.
Villa Le Bassin in Aquitaine, France - just one of the gites and villas in France, Italy, Spain or Greece
Spain is a perennial favourite, and as such offers some spectacular holiday houses for hen parties. Mas Guadalupe in Costa Brava sleeps 28 people,
Tropical Beach House on Lanzarote sleeps 8 people, and Villa Kano in Andalucia sleeps 20 people. There are plenty more too...
Prices of hen party houses
The hen party holiday homes featured here offer you fantastic accommodation. Although I fully understand you might look at the price of renting
one of the hen party houses and say to yourself "how much!". Please bear in mind that the price is for the entire property, and not per person. For example
(I fear this may now come across as a level 6 SATS maths paper, but I'll press on), say you're planning a 3 night weekend hen party break for
you and 9 of your friends; and your ideal holiday accommodation costs £5,000. There's 10 of you going on holiday, so that makes it £500 per person.
And you're staying for 3 nights - so the price is actually £133 per person, per night. Nearly as cheap as a
Premier Inn. Nearly. The price is certainly
comparable to many hotels. And you get so much more when you rent an entire holiday home for your hen party.
