The location was excellent - a short walk into the town. . accommodation was good with the bonus of an additional (very) small room which we used as a third bedroom. . for the first week of the holiday we did not have any shade over the pool and balcony - lucio said a sail awning would be fitted within 2-3 days of our arrival but it wasn't fitted until the middle saturday which did limit our use of the pool area for the first week. . . cleanliness could have been improved - we didn't use the coffee machine as the filter hadn't been cleaned and had gone mouldy. there was a dishwasher but were told that, as the crockery was hand-painted, it should be hand-washed. . lucio was very helpful when we needed help to solve a problem with the car. we first contacted the local contacts but they were not able to help. . we followed the instructions as given for receiving the keys with the aim of arriving at the villa at 4.00 pm and rang lucio when we had picked up the hire car. while I appreciate that change over day would be busy, we had expected to start our holiday in a more relaxed way than being chased to get to the villa when we were sitting in a restaurant. . . the arrangements for leaving the villa were not clear. When we have holidayed in previous villas, there has been a final check before we left: this time there was no check made. Julie from Reading (08 July 2018)
Really nice villa. Beautiful views from the terrace looking out over the bay. Just a 10 minute walk from the centre of sant agata. Had a great time and would definitely go back. Mark from Warrington (24 September 2016)
The outdoor space in this villa is very nice but the interior is tired and the bathrooms in particular need updating. the bath in the upstairs bathroom is only big enough for a child to sit in and with no shower screen, it isn't suitable for showering either so as we were a party of 4 adults, we all ended up having to use the downstairs shower. The kitchen is poorly equipped, it was nice to have a dishwasher but with only 5 mugs and 5 small glasses, we ended up having to wash up most of the time. we didn't consider it value for money. Stephanie from Hampshire (17 September 2016)
Overall, this is an average villa, but in a rather stunning location. Your stay at vetara will be defined by magnificent, soaring views from the terrace, that beguile you into overlooking a number of shortcomings. For example; poor, dysfunctional shower facilities, particularly upstairs, a joke "free wi-fi" service, broken dvd player remote, a never-ending supply of dead ants in the pool and a sagging sofa. Yet despite these irritations, we loved it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Dickon from Bracknell (07 August 2016)
Beautiful views and close to a nice little town. Patricia (06 August 2016)
Lovely villa .needs shower facilities improving both up and down .fantastic to be able to walk into nearby santa agata and lucio the owner was incredibly helpful sorting any issues recommending restaurants and tour booking .slight drawback is how the garden faces as lose sun early evening . if hot enough doesn't stop you doing bbq s though ..nice bbq area .all in all a lovely property ideal for exploring the area Jill from Wetherby (21 June 2016)
The villa was excellent: perfectly clean and tidy and in a beautiful location. The owner, lucio, was really helpful and attentive. The nearby town was within walking distance and contained some good restaurants, but just across the road from the villa was a really good restaurant that also supplied the best takeaway pizza's! for my wife's birthday we visited the relais blu restaurant (about 15 minutes away by taxi) which was great. A wonderful destination that I would highly recommend. Robert from Rayleigh (15 May 2016)
Our agent lucio made sure that we were made to feel very welcome. The villa is beautiful, with lovely views. The only thing I would point out is that there is a very steep driveway to the villa, which may prove challenging for someone elderly or with mobility problems. Marco from Bournemouth (03 October 2015)
Lovely place to stay. Good base for all sights. Owner also very helpful in sorting trips etc on our arrival. They were always ready to help if needed. June from Benfleet (17 May 2015)
This villa is in a spectacular location with superb views, yet within easy driving distance to sorrento. The villa owners were great, providing useful information with respect to what to do in the area and would organise trips to capri, pompeii and even wine tasting. The villa also had wifi which came as a welcome surprise. The view from the pool was breathtaking. Helena from Amersham (01 November 2014)
Fantastic place to stay in great location. Fabulous views across the hills to the sea. Spacious accommodation. A large piece of land/garden with fresh herbs and figs that the owners allowed us to pick and eat as we required. Quality sun-loungers and garden furniture. Alexander from Lancaster (04 October 2014)
