Villa was very nice and clean and owners were very helpful Christopher from Dufftown (18 August 2018)
Absolutely stunning.. we've just got back from a glorious week at quinta da silvares, the views are incredible, so so quiet, a perfect escape. the house itself has everything you need for a relaxing stay , kitchen is very well equipped, the cool-box came in very handy! the farm owner and her son are very helpful and friendly and although they were regularly working at the farm, we were never bothered by them, but if we needed them for anything at all, they were on hand very quickly. the pool isn't directly in front/to the side of the house, it's around 50metres away, so please be aware when visiting with children as you can't hear anything from the pool area while in the house and vise versa. but saying that, it does make the pool area into it's own little sanctuary, perfect place to read a book and thoroughly chill out. the acoustics in both the house and the valley near the pool area are amazing.. the cd's and books at the house are a welcome addition too. the outside eating area is a lovely place to sit and star-gaze or just take in the peace and quiet in the evening. will definitely be coming back as we so enjoyed our stay, the children (13&6) didn't want to leave! thoroughly recommend. Vikki from Ipswich (11 August 2018)
Excellent holiday , great views , peace and quite Ian from Dartford (14 July 2018)
Such a lovely homely away retreat beautiful views tranquil environment Alan from Weymouth (02 September 2017)
We had a fantastic holiday at quinta da silvares. Alberto & leonea were so friendly & the fruit baskets that they gave us were amazing. The swimming pool was perfect & our boys spent most of the week in the pool (& loved the inflatables & football that were provided). overall a fantastic holiday in a beautiful setting, we couldn't have asked for more. We can't wait to return. Victoria from Cambridge (19 August 2017)
Villa was perfect for the holiday we needed. its off of the beaten track but for a relaxing getaway still within range of amazing views and great places to see it was spot on. Linda from Oxford (22 July 2017)
In a beautiful, peaceful remote location this villa is perfect for couples looking to get away from it all. . . situated on an organic fruit farm at the top of a valley, the villa has stunning views. The private swimming pool is excellent and maintained every few days. The villa itself is kept spotlessly clean, the kitchen is very well equipped with a large fridge, plenty of utensils, crockery etc. . moimento de biera is 15 minutes drive away and has the nearest "intermarche" for food shopping. eating out requires a drive however, not a problem as a car is essential at this property. . allow 2 hours for the drive from oporto airport. Catherine from Hertfordshire (08 July 2017)
Amazing location, great villa and lovely pool area. surrounding area also lovely. Very rural, not overlooked at all. Elizabeth (17 September 2016)
Clean, well stocked with kitchen equipment. Comfortable beds. Good siting for pool, but need shoes to get to it. Nice outside seating. Heather (06 August 2016)
Great location, but this is a working farm, so be prepared to be disrupted my tractors, fruit pickers & a lack of privacy.. Alan (16 July 2016)
If you are looking for peace and tranquility in beautiful surroundings then quinta da silvares is the ideal location. the villa has been beautifully restored and the views are absolutely stunning. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house very comfortable. The pool is lovely and breakfast out on the terrace every morning an absolute treat. would highly recommend as a get away from it all break. 10/10 from us. Theresa from Kent (11 June 2016)
Superb quiet location, wonderful views. Exceptionally helpful owners. Comfortable and well equipped villa. Loved the pool area. Clive from Holmer Green (15 August 2015)
This property had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing holiday away from the madding crowds. It's situated in a beautiful rural location with wonderful views from the house and pool. the property itself has a rustic charm with everything you need (which we added to by buying a coffee maker for €10 from the well stocked supermarket at moimenta da beira). we loved the seclusion and charm of this area and this property. don't be put off by the pictures that show other buildings nearby as they are both uninhabited. Susan from Flintshire (08 August 2015)
Great villa , very quiet & peaceful Jason from Sudbury (11 July 2015)

Beautiful villa and location. Owners very nice. Mr Shaw from Accrington (02 August 2014)
We were made to feel very welcome by the villa owners who made time during the week to take us to an independent vineyard specializing in port wine at excellent prices. Stunning scenery and views from the villa would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday you couldn't wish for a better location or base. Mr Davies from Northampton (September 2013)
The villa is on an organic fruit farm. We were invited to help ourseolves to cherries and strawberries which were beautiful and very tasty. The fridge was stocked with complementary apple juice pressed from apples on the farm. The area is off the beaten tourist track but non the worse for that! Mr Smith from Grantham (June 2012)
As mentioned before the directions need to ne updated. The villa and the owners were delightful and helpful. Mr Smith from Grantham (June 2012)
