Stunning views and well equipped villa. Close to many picturesque villages. Paid a premium due to school holiday season. Catherine (11 August 2018)
The villa was clean and well equipped for our stay. View was simply awesome. Pool to ourselves was great. Owner cleaned pool area daily. . we would recommend the villa. Simon from Market Harborough (22 July 2018)
Il pino is a lovely villa. The hosts were very welcoming and on hand if we needed anything. The apartment has three good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside space is lovely and the views are stunning. The pool is very big and kept very clean. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather when we were there, so we didn't get to utilise the pool that much. The living room isn't that big, so it was a bit small for our two boys when the weather wasn't great. The directions to the villa were very good and the restaurant just over the road is nice. Volterra is a 15-20 min drive away and siena and florence around and hour/1.20 each. Becky from Sutton Coldfield (05 May 2018)
Fantastic location for exploring the best tuscany has to offer. Villa is lovely and the view is just perfect. The only negative is the beds are very firm and the mattresses could probably do with replacing, but it's a minor point. Good restaurant 5 minutes walk away and great pool overlooking that view..couldnt ask for more. Andrew from Derbyshire (07 October 2017)
The villa was a good choice, quite and private. Perhaps on reflection a little isolated for us on this occasion. It was a little chilly in the evening, - pack a fleece. . . only complaints: could not operate the heating to turn on direct - you have to go through the owner. Bedding inadequate for my allergic reaction to feather, fur and wool - was cold. Kitchen in need of correct utensils to make the most of the oven. Christine from Fleet (30 September 2017)
Really lovely villa. Very clean and comfortable. Outside was kept nice and tidy with your own access and parking separate to the owners house next door. Very private and not overlooked. A working farm so tractor out on fields but no problem for us. No bad comments to add would definitely recommend a stay here. Although the owners do not speak a lot of english they were very helpful if we had any questions. Simon from Bedford And Peterborough (16 September 2017)
Il pino is a lovely, simply furnished villa. the pool is a good size for playing and swimming. the owner, who lives next door, was really friendly and very discreet when maintaining the pool daily. location is great for getting around and views are just stunning. would definitely recommend! Alison from London (02 September 2017)
Beautiful setting, perfect villa - you get what you pay for!. . the owners are friendly, helpful and non obtrusive. The villa is spotlessly clean and fresh, supplied with everything you may need. Rooms are comfortable and decorated in true italian style. The pool is maintained daily, and has an amazing view. Sarah from Abergavenny (26 August 2017)
Lovely villa in a beautiful location with fantastic views. Very personable owners who ensured everything was perfect for our stay Kevin (03 June 2017)
Superb villa, close to road leading to volterra and siena. William (01 October 2016)
We had a great week. Stunning view from the villa, enjoyed eating on the terrace, great private pool. Just what we needed - a great area for relaxing. Villa was well-equipped; welcome pack was appreciated; owner was courteous and friendly and greeted us when we arrived about midnight! we appreciated that the owner maintained the pool quietly every day. If we had to mention anything, it wasn't clear that the road passing directly behind the villa was fairly busy, so quite noisy some of the day, and that the property was right next to a working farm which was also sometimes noisy. The beds (mattresses) were quite uncomfortable. But these are small complaints. The directions to the property weren't quite right - glad we had a gps as we arrived in the middle of the night - in fact you go past the 49 vi (not iv) marking, turn in to the right at il pino then open the metal gate directly to the right of the main brick pillars, and drive through that into a separate parking bay for the property, under the trees. Paul from Mannings Heath (03 September 2016)
A great villa, with fantastic views , and well placed to get out and about in tuscany. . directions were slightly inaccurate on how to find the villa Andrew from Haslemere (27 August 2016)
Lovely villa in superb location. Friendly owners made us feel very welcome. Kitchen is basic for self catering with just a gas hob, but well stocked with all the pots and pans you'll need for stove top meals. There is also a microwave. Volterra is a 15 minute drive with some lovely restaurants for eating out. Bedrooms are spacious and we didn't need the air conditioning in late may as they were naturally cool. Outside space is where the villa really shines - covered terrace with table and chairs gives wonderful countryside views, as does the pool area to the side of the villa. Simon from Leicester (28 May 2016)
Pool was great, views where amazing, facilities met all our requirements. however, location was very remote, apart from local restaurant everything else was a car journey. Crabb from Leigh (22 August 2015)
Lovely place- kitchen could do with a refresh and the air conditioning could be more flexible in times of operation. But neither of these would stop me going there again. Well located for local towns. Scenery wonderful! Customer 15 (18 July 2015)
We had two fantastic weeks here in june 2015, villa is ideal for two couples allowing good privacy, but easy to be together. Ideally located for sienna, florence and other beautiful old towns, plus virtually in chianti country. Clean, well presented with a real wow of a view...sat looking at it for hours. Pool cleaned daily before we got up. Owners live next door, but never intruded. Great outdoor eating and barbeque. We have already booked for 2016. Victor from Suffolk (13 June 2015)
The villa was of an exceptionally high standard. The setting was idyllic. Having the owner on hand should we have needed him was a bonus. It was a truly memorable holiday. Lynda from Warrington, Cheshire (12 May 2015)
Location Louise from London (30 August 2014)
The villas location was amazing, views and surroundings were perfect Mrs Sceats from Wolverhampton (28 June 2014)
All of the above. Christopher from Sutton , Surrey (24 May 2014)
The owners were very kind and discreet Mrs Le Conte from Didcot (September 2013)
Agree with other reviews of Villa, fantastic location and views, reality even better than photos. Very private which helped make holiday more relaxing. Would thoroughly recommend. Mr Falkner from Honiton (August 2013)
An outstanding villa in an excellent location. The owners were discreet but friendly and the villa was immaculate with stunning views. We usually stay in a different villa each time but we are seriously considering revisiting this one. Mrs Nancekivell from Holsworthy (June 2012)
Great location for exploring Tuscany, as Volterra is only 15 mins drive away and it is a lovely medieval town, but not as packed with tourists as Florence or Sienna. Also close by, is San Gimingano, and many other medieval hill-top towns. We drove to Florence and Sienna, both a reasonable car journey away. There is a restaurant (which we never got round to trying) within easy walking distance of the villa, and an excellent Pizzeria restaurant within 5 min car drive. The villa is behind a road and so there is some traffic noise, but it is set back quite a way from the road so it isn't very intrusive. The advantage, of course, is that you don't have to drive for ten minutes down a windy farm track at the start of every journey you make. Mr Simkin from Banbury (July 2011)
The villa was perfect. It was clean, well-equiped, spacious, cool and the beds were very comforatble. The showers had very good water pressure. One of the best villas we've stayed in. (The only thing missing for us was an external light over the patio table because we couldn't play our card game outside once it got dark.) Mr Simkin from Banbury (July 2011)
The villa and grounds were absoloutly fantastic, owner and family were lovely and very helpful - one of the best villas we have stayed at and definately hope to return - have already reccomended the villa to friends and family - the photographs on the website do not do the villa justice, needless to say we were very impressed when we arrived at this amazing villa Mr Machin from Jersey (June 2011)
The countryside around the villa is quite spectacular, with some beautiful scenery and interesting villages. Mrs Connolly from Warlingham (September 2010)
We found this villa a very peaceful retreat, with plenty of space. Mrs Connolly from Warlingham (September 2010)
Fabulous, on-line pictures of the views did not do it justice!Owners very helpful and obliging Mr Hargreaves from Ilkley (August 2010)
Great villa, perfect location, stunning Tuscan views.Car essential to visit nearby towns and villages, friendly owner next door.A/C a great asset.Fantastic holiday Mr ADAMSON from Manchester (July 2008)
Our holiday was very enjoyable, however, the ques for security at Gatwick where horrendous. Maybe flights from other regional airports- we had to travel from Belfast to Gatwick and stay over. The villa was great for we had 80+ year old parents with us. The owner, although lives beside the villa we had to look for him if we needed him.The villa site was well cared for and we hand our privacy. Mr Whiteside from Lisburn (July 2007)
