Wonderful villa. Decor a little dated, but not a problem. The facilities were excellent. It had everything. Apart from wooden spoons which we bought and left :). excellent!! Samantha from Yorkshire (01 September 2018)
Lovely villa, everything there that you need. Owner very nice and helpful. Would definitely go back. Beverley from Darlington (11 August 2018)
This is a lovely villa (once found). . however, given that we were staying for a week it wouldn't cost claudio much to provide:. 1) spare toilet paper. 2) kitchen rolls. 3) something other than a small sponge to clean the kitchen. 4) more than one bin liner (given that the advice is to empty bins every day). Damian (02 June 2018)
The villa was great, a good size and had every thing you would need. The whole villa had a rustic charm with exposed ceilings and in keeping furniture. The only reason for the 2 x 9 on the scores is that the mattress needed replacing and 2 of the outside wooden chairs had screws poking through the seat. As there was just the two of us it didn't make any difference. The kitchen was small but had everything that you needed. Andrew (30 September 2017)
The villa is well situated and is not overlooked which suited us. The overall feel of the villa was that it is a little tired and needs some updating. . there were some light bulbs missing (or some of the fittings did not work) so the attention to detail wasn't quite there when the villa was made ready for the next guests. . this was our 10th anniversary treat to ourselves and the villa did not live up to the experience we thought we would get. . there is an outside bbq but if you intend cooking once the sun starts to set then make sure you have a torch as you will be able to see what you're cooking. Luckily we had a small lantern with us in case of a power cut which helped. . the pool was good but was filling with cold water on a daily basis (i don't know if it has a slight leak) but this meant that the pool took your breath away when getting into it & didn't really warm up during the day (nice when you need to cool off from the sun though). . the beds were comfortable and our six year old son slept well in the small bedroom. The beds in there do seem to be camp beds (as mentioned in another review) and I don't know how older children or adults would fair. . . there is a safe in the premises but this is very small and we could only just fit small items like passports, phone and wallet inside. You would not be able to store an ipad or other slightly larger items which you might want to keep safe whilst you are out. . the air conditioning took the edge off the heat but didn't work too well & the unit in the master bedroom was quite noisy at times. We ended up turning it off before going to sleep. . overall we had a good stay and made use of the pool each day & the villa is surrounded by some great countryside. Russell from Braintree (27 August 2016)
We love staying here and would like to book for the 1st 2 weeks in september if possible Elizabeth (25 June 2016)
For the cost, I cipressi was very basic and not well furnished or equipped. The bathroom was very small and all of the beds were uncomfortable. . the two single beds, used by my son and daughter, were in fact just folding camp beds placed inside bed frames. . . we have stayed in many villas in the south of france and this was our first time in tuscany. The standard of the villas we have used previously was, overall, much higher. Marie from Preston Lancashire (08 August 2015)
Air con was next to useless. The average temperatures was 39 degrees but the air con was on a timer for only a couple of hours in the late afternoon and evening. The washing machine and dishwasher were useless as you could not rely on water being available. The bathroom was so small that you had to put your feet in the shower tray to go to the toilet. The swimming pool pump did not clear the daily build up of small creature feces from the bottom. The electricity was unreliable and our mobile did not work overseas and we could not contact claudio - we had to find a neighbour and ask him to contact him for us. Carol from West Yorkshire (18 July 2015)
We had an amazing week. The villa was in a perfect location very private. Plenty of essentials for cooking but no cleaning materials. Pool was fantastic clean and maintained well. Plenty of seating in and out. Towels soft. Welcome pack great. Air conditioning stopped working. But would love to go back one day. Yvonne from Bibbona (20 June 2015)
Friendly welcome, lovely setting, not too far from local facilities Christopher from Great Missenden (05 October 2014)
Excellent location, friendly and helpful owners who bought us some home produced olive oil. Furnishings very traditional. Equipped with everything you could need. Dishwasher ineffective, though improved a bit when we put salt and rinse aid in!. Master bed needs new mattress - springs too prominent. Bathroom tiny but functional. Mrs Jolly from Eye (26 July 2014)
