A beautiful villa (trulli) set in an idyllic & very beautiful location. Bellisimo! 5* in every way! Alison from Cambridgeshire (04 August 2018)
Loved this place. Once we got used to separate doors for kitchen and living areas which could be a bit irritating if you forgot something once you’d locked all the double doors. But mini fridge in living area helped that. And charm of the place made up for it. Rhona from Linlithgow (28 July 2018)
Excellent villa in beautiful surroundings. Great base for exploring puglia. Very good support from donatello the villa manager and his team. We had a great holiday in puglia and would recommend this villa. Phil from Colchester (07 July 2018)
Great place to stay if a tad remote and well off the beaten track. Very well appointed but bedding was poor quality and very basic. Overall very happy with our stay but bring ear plugs as the neighbours dogs bark incessantly all night every night. Conor from Heathfield (05 May 2018)
This was our first experience of renting a villa. We really enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the quality of the property. It is extremely private with no adjacent neighbours. The rooms are small but adequate. The pool is great for an afternoon dip but is only small. The outside eating area and barbecue are ideal for warm evenings. Tony from Nether Langwith (07 October 2017)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. An ideal location - a quiet spot down a farm road a few miles from alberebello with locorotondo in the distance. Trulli rizzo is perfectly located for exploring the valle d'itria and is within easy striking distance of both coasts and their beaches. . the trulli itself is charming - much lovelier than we expected and the photos do not do it justice. Set amongst olive groves, it has a well equipped kitchen, decent bathrooms and powerful wi-fi - better in fact that our connections in london! the outdoor areas are well thought through with shade provided by fig and olive trees. The pool is not deep but remains deliciously cool on even the hottest days - a relief at times. . . the trulli can be tricky to find at night so unless one has night vision, plugging the trulli's coordinates into a sat nav is essential. . finally, a word of praise for donatello, the gentleman who looks after the trulli for the agent/ its owner. Superb service - easily contactable, super responsive and always on time. He went beyond the call of duty to find a dvd player for us (we are old school and don't have netflix etc] on a public holiday. A real asset. . so, in summary, a fantastic stay [for two adults and two children] at a great trulli in a lovely part of the world. Louise from London (19 August 2017)
This is a truly beautiful villa, in a great location. although it's a little off the beaten track within 10 minutes you can access alberobello, locorotondo, and martina franca. donatello, who looks after the property, and its visitors, was really helpful and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy out stay. Sarah from North Yorkshire (29 July 2017)
Received free car hire through james villas. However would suggest given the rural location of villa a car with sat nav or recomendation by james villas to upgrade would be appropriate, our first evening being seriously marred by getting lost in the italian country side. All 3 iphones unable to pick up location, eventually got house manager to come out to guide us home who then wanted paying for after hours service, this was waived the next day as owner understood the problem in navigation. . . the jacuzzi did not work whilst we were there. . this aside the trulli was wonderful and very well equipped and thought out. . just had e-mail from enterprise 2.27 am saying ref to rental agreement no 9747 '' we'd like to inform you that we have just forwarded to your credit card issuer a request of release for the deposit of euro 350'' . . we have no idea what this is about, the car was checked out ,approved and was fine, the only charge should have been for euro 19 for upgrade to diesel skoda, on return the attendant confirmed there was just euro 19 charge, can you explain this please ?? James from Rotherham (08 July 2017)
Lovely villa in a quiet location, with everything that you need for a holiday in puglia - but tall people need to be aware of the low doors! Hilary from Shropshire (17 June 2017)
Fantastic great area and lovely people ... great food and weather . enjoy Jacqueline from Hove (13 August 2016)
Great villa. The cutlery drawer and the draining board were not clean but overall clan and tidy. Elizabeth from Solihull (23 July 2016)
Overall excellent but for a villa for four, there were 3 dinner plates, 3 cups, 1 wine glass, 2 glass beakers. No oven glove. Dishwasher door fell off. Shower spray fell off. Both toilets stuck and/or ran continuously at times. One unsorted bunch of keys for 3 external double doors. Directions to rep rendezvous point were amended by you at last minute (petrol station name). in fact the original name was correct. Graham from Cheltenham (18 June 2016)
No complaints, the novelty factor wore off the 4th time I hit my head on the low doorways! would stay in the area again but in a villa! Robin from Sturminster Newton (17 October 2015)
On arrival at this property the so called new pool was green and we were unable to see the bottom, also the garden was a disgrace. The plants in the tubs were dead until we watered them whilst staying there, also tall weeds were growing through two of the sun loungers. We also did not have any hot water until a plumber came out, he also cleaned the pool for us as he could not believe the state of it! this villa does not have sufficient room for four adults, only three seats in the lounge and one of the bedrooms was so small there was insufficient room for hanging clothes etc. The pool filter cover was cracked and very dangerous as it would have cut anybody's feet should they fall through it! the wi-fi hardly worked at all and was virtually non-existent for the two weeks we were there. This property did not meet with your description and in our opinion is totally unacceptable for four adults. It should be advertised as only suitable for two adults and two children. . the description in your 2015/16 brochures for this property does not cover the problems mentioned above, in my opinion trulli rizzo is in a poor state of repair and not fit for purpose. Because we were all very disappointed with this villa I took numerous photos and would be happy to provide you with copies if you are interested in seeing them?. . we have used james villas on five separate occasions in the last few years but would be very careful to book with you again without assurances that we were getting what we are paying for! . . finally, I would just like to mention that the emergency contact people and the cleaner working for "pure puglia ltd." were very helpful and came out when required. Colin from Hartley In Kent (19 September 2015)
The villa was lovely, however there were three things we would like to feedback and we did mention to them while we were there. 1. Debris kept falling down from the trulli ceiling onto the bed. It needs sealing with a sealant or special paint. It was happening all the time. 2. The garden was very poor everything was pretty much dead. 3. The swimming pool was nice but the area attracts very large woodlice and insects that kept falling in and sinking to the bottom. They were quick to come and clean it when asked but they either need to clean it every day, or show guests how to use the hoover device. They couldn't be cleared with the net. We still had a lovely time and the people were very nice and helpful, but if they resolve these issues it will be even better. Veronica from London (01 August 2015)
Very pretty villa, the garden area had not been touched for some time with weeds high and old garden furniture left in the garden. . both showers in the villa not working fully, ran cold all the time unpleasant to have showers. Would not stay again Karen from Maidenhead (27 June 2015)
Trullo was good and local reps informative Steve from Haywards Heath (04 October 2014)
