Excellent, quiet location. Perfect for our requirements. Would benefit from ac in bedrooms. Jonathan from Stalybridge (30 August 2018)
Beautiful villa in a remote and very quiet area. Amazing views. Very peaceful. Fantastic pools. Large accommodation. Beds a little too firm! quite an experience driving down track then reaching the villa. Lovely gardens and fruit trees. Fantastic memories made for family holiday. James villas website very easy to use for booking, would definitely recommend and use again in the future. Caroline from Oxford (23 August 2018)
Villa is good, but I wish we had hired a 4x4, dreadful track. You will need nappie sacks as you can’t flush loo paper. Also, basic’s like salt & pepper, oil etc.were not there. Deirdre from Andover (21 June 2018)
Peaceful well managed property. . interesting driveway but fine with a decent car, a small inconvenience considering the wonderful seclusion. Rodney from Warwickshire (14 June 2018)
Lovely seclusion we enjoyed.not enough info about poor private road access that must have been a mile long, not for driving at night . pools were lovely, indoor pool so warm.lack of hot water and poor water pressure was an issue. Stephen from Sandy (24 May 2018)
We have visited the algarve many times with james villas staying in many different villas. casa oasis is definitely the best so far. if you are looking for a secluded, relaxing holiday then this is the place for you. The downside (and it is only one) is the very long, stony pathway to the villa. you have to drive very slowly if you don't want to damage your hire car - we timed it as 8 minutes. Other than that, everything was perfect, including the weather. if the weather is bad, then the indoor pool comes into its own. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday. G.S. from London (10 May 2018)
The indoor pool made our holiday. the weather was not warm enough and it was too windy to use the outdoor pool but the heated indoor pool was great. The off-road driving experience to and from the villa was more than we were expecting and once we'd picked up (bought) a couple of nice feather and down pillows from the local ikea we slept very well. The shower in the en-suite was poor and the kitchen was not well equipped/stocked for making "proper" meals but there was lots of crockery and cutlery. We had to buy foil, clingfilm, dishwasher and washer tabs, extra loo rolls and worst of all was the tv service. no epg, several instances of bbc 1, film4+1 but not film4 and nothing local at all. when the batteries for the tv and set-top box both gave up the ghost (of course with no spares in the villa) it was something of a relief to be playing cards! Paul from Rotherham (19 April 2018)
Overall, fantastic for space, relaxing, peace & quiet. We enjoyed our time there, but there were some negatives, so we won’t return. The track, although manageable, was a 10 minute, dirty, stoney journey. Our hire car (which we chose with the track in mind) was only just handed back in a satisfactory state! a few issues, easily sorted..no ice trays (we bought & left some), broken coffee machine (no lid so splattered everywhere & didn’t stay warm) & limited electricity supply (microwave couldn’t work with kettle on etc). also wi-fi was useless, luckily good 4g signal as our son is autistic & needs his ipad to work. Indoor pool was heated, but fluctuated throughout the holiday, at some points feeling too cold to enjoy, again an issue for our son who is more sensitive. Hannah (12 April 2018)
Casa oasis is a stunning villa and it’s elevated position give enviable views, all the way to the sea. The villa boasts two pools, both an indoor and outdoor, which proved useful as the outdoor pool was not useable as it was not heated and the temperature of the water was freezing. The indoor pool was fantastic and only marred by the discolouration of the window in front of it, obliterating any views. The window, whcic was on a sliding mechanism had also been forced shut, it would have been ideal to open the window to enjoy the view and the weather. The interior of the villa was well laid out and well equipped with everything you would need, plenty of space and the fact that each bedroom had a bathroom was great. The villa was very clean when we arrived and the cleaners returned half way through the holiday to remove rubbish and clean. The outside area was very large, had plenty of sun beds with padded covers, a lovely sheltered dining table and well manicured grounds with beautiful flowers. We spent many hours on the area by the outside pool. The villa is in a remote position, which suited us due to the views and the peace & quiet it afforded us but may prove to be a challenge to someone who is not confident driving in portugal, especially the track from the main road, which wouldn’t have looked out of place on a rally cross course. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday & I could have stayed much longer, the villa and service we received suited us down to the ground and is the reason we have used james villas for many years. Thank you David from Sale (05 April 2018)
It’s a long dirt track to get to the villa, as advertised, but worth it. Indoor pool is superb. If you’re looking for a completely private villa then this one is for you. Michael from Bradford (19 October 2017)
Beautiful villa in a wonderfully quiet location, beautiful views and everything you need for a relaxing week Christopher (14 September 2017)
Fantastic villa in a lovely secluded location. Really could do with air con as roasting at night no matter what we did with fans, shutters , windows etc. with a 6 month old this was very annoying. Some lights didn't work maybe just needed new bulbs!!! the track to the villa was bumpy in places but nothing to worry about just take it easy. Would definitely go back if air con or cooler time of year. Julie from Cleethorpes (07 September 2017)
Excellent - if you just want to get away from the world. make sure the car you hire can deal with the track. Peter (24 August 2017)
Lovely villa in the middle of nowhere perfect for peace and quiet , rough road to villa but not unusual in algarve just need to be careful, great views , only downside ,no aircon and outdoor pool bit small , not really suitable for young children lots potential dangers Andrew from York (29 June 2017)
Satellite tv not fully functional, bad internet connection, would not of booked if I had known about these problems Paul from Llandovery (22 June 2017)
Would definitely return to this villa. It was like going to a retreat for a week. Peaceful relaxing no stress or worries. The location was very near perfect and the villa had everything we needed to make the holiday memorable. Terry from Surrey (15 June 2017)
The villa was great. Having the option of both an indoor and outdoor pool really provided flexibility during the heat of the day and in the cooler evenings. The bedrooms were all adequate and each had its own bathroom. The location was perfect, being some distance from any other properties and quite isolated. I agree with other reviewers that the rocky track from the main road to the villa is not ideal however it didn't affect my enjoyment of the villa one bit. The drive into olhao was pleasant and meant there were nice restaurants and multiple fully stocked supermarkets only 25 minutes drive away from the villa. The lower outside area was very nice in the evening sitting out with a glass of wine, waiting for the bbq to be ready. Rob from Sutton (27 April 2017)
If you are after total relaxation and privacy this is the one for you. We had a great holiday with our 2 girls aged 6 and 9 and whilst the outside pool was still a bit cold the indoor pool is really the icing on the cake. We couldn't keep the kids out. . . don't be put off by the long dirt track/ driveway. It's not as bad as some have made out and a small price to pay for the privacy. . . easy drives to most places and lots of places to visit. Christopher from Birmingham (13 April 2017)
Absolutely lovely if you want a quiet holiday but be prepared for a bumpy ride along the dirt track to villa but well worth it when you finally make it Stephen from Welling Kent (08 September 2016)
We visited casa oasis twice, about 10 years ago. We guess that not much has changed since last time! the dishwasher needs replacing as it simply gets things wet and the washing machine drains over the patio due to a blocked outlet. . . otherwise, as expected. . . one note on the outside swimming pool; would say that it is not suitable for young children as access is limited to a very steep step. No problem for our family but maybe worth noting for others. David from Exeter (21 July 2016)
Well be ready for the ride of your life on the dirt track to the villa. Its a mile and beats every ride at alton towers. A smal car will incur damage and a 4x4 would even suffer from the grit. The bumps and stones are just so large. We saw video on facebook of the trip and its worse then that. On our return we got charged 50 euros for the light scraches all along the side of our rental car. And that was kind. Now on arrival you get paradise. The villa is the very best we have had . the indoor pool is a treat and warm even at night. The views are breathless. And you are totally alone. No fool would attempt the katmondow thrill ride getting there. Its true the cost to fix this entry would be thousands. Perhaps a helipad would help.however please go as this is such a find and well worth the trip. We simply went out once a day and this worked for us as the babacue and kitchen are without doubt the best you could ever need. Anyway if you are going for a rest. Trust us. It gets no better then walking around naked and out a care in the world. This is for you. Only a plane at 30000 feet could see you and thats looking down. Carolyn from St Leonards On Sea (16 June 2016)
The access road is almost impassable. Especially after the week of thunderstorms we had. Rocks and some deep water-filled holes. Docked the villa 1 point because of this and 1 point because the house was actually leaking quite badly with water drip-dripping indoors night and day, soaking the dining area downstairs. Spent a fair amount of time mopping up and trying to place strategic bowls and towels to catch the water. . we were never able to use any outside facilities, it was either raining or still soaking wet. The indoor pool was very good. Villa very roomy and comfortable, although hot water takes ages to reach the bathrooms and the water flow is very poor when it does. . cannot fault the representative and the portuguese lady who looks after the villa. Jean from Wallington Surrey (12 May 2016)
Very nice house with little to complain of but the access track. James from St.Helens (14 April 2016)
Excellent stay here. Very private and secluded. No noise from garden centre but a little from the motorway. Track from the road is best negotiated for the first time in daylight and not in a fancy car! good supermarket in moncarapacho. Richard from Aberdeen (17 September 2015)
The villa is certainly of the beaten track as it takes approximately 4 minutes drive up a rough lane to get to it, so if it's peace and quiet you are after it is perfect. Whilst the portuguese traditional type decor might not be to everyone's liking the villa is large and very clean. The outside areas are a perfect size to sunbath and the upper terrace gives great views of the surrounding area. The swimming pools were a good size and the fact that there is also a solar heated indoor pool was perfect for the children in the evening. with the large sliding windows open we could sit on the upper terrace relaxing and at the same time watching the children in the pool. All in all for us it provided the perfect holiday retreat for our family. Mark from Belfast (20 August 2015)
Good location. Close enough to amenities but far enough for peace and solitude. Barb wire fencing is a little ugly, and the view not the best. The dirt track is in very poor condition, but generally this a lovely villa which is a great place from which to enjoy the algarve. Robert from Brentwood (13 August 2015)
Villa excellent most enjoyable track to villa was a nightmare 4x4 required Peter from Prestatyn (28 May 2015)
The villa was prefect for us ,a heated indoor pool, and a nice view , no neighbours for miles we would definitely go again .however the main drive from the main road to the villa is a long track and is worth hiring a car with a tall ride hight Michael from Great Yarmouth (23 April 2015)
Lovely villa which is sited not too far from the airport and towns. Janet from Gloucestershire (10 October 2014)
The outdoor kitchen area is great and the upstairs pool for when the weather is a bit too windy and raining Elaine (25 September 2014)
The inside pool was amazing, great for night swimming. Diane from Ipswich (04 September 2014)
Heated indoor pool & very secluded David from Hockley Essex (10 July 2014)
Isolation, space , facilities, comfort, location. John from Plymouth (19 June 2014)
The outdoor pool was lovely, the location was remote and secluded and not too far away from shops and sea front. Matthew from Norwich (08 May 2014)
It was fab. In a quiet area and the view was spectacular. Just what we wanted. Mr Cross from Southampton (17 April 2014)
Love it, we've travelied with James Villas eight times now, this by far was our favourite! Mr Chung from Glasgow (June 2012)
If you are looking for a high quality villa in a quiet and peaceful location with superb views and not one but two swimming pools for your exclusive use (one of which is heated) then you need look no further than Casa Oasis. We had a great time. We didn't have children in our party but would advise some caution for parties with young children because of the proximity of the heated pool on the first floor to a bedroom and a balcony area. It is not possible to exclude unsupervised young children/toddlers from this area. There are plenty of warnings, and this is not in any way to deter people from visiting what is without doubt an outstanding villa. The unadopted road to the villa is long and very rough in parts, but if you take your time you will have no problems.James Villas online booking process is the most user friendly that I have ever used. The villa booking, insurance, car hire and flights were all done at the push of a button - very impressive! Mr Staveley from Coalville (May 2012)
we have been to this villas 3 times now. we love it. quite remote, but if you want privacy then it is perfect. we will be going again, Mrs Rutt from Herne Bay (March 2011)
this villa was quite remote, if you want to have peace, quiet and privacy, then it is perfect Mrs Rutt from Herne Bay (October 2010)
extremely nice villa Mr Lloyd from Rowley Regis (September 2009)
Nothing...it was amazing! Mrs Baily from Erith (August 2009)
Thank you for a perfect holiday! Relaxation started the minute we arrived! Mrs Schraff-Seebauer from Orpington (July 2008)
We were very impressed with the villa and James holidays everything went according to plan. we will use you again in the future. Mr Norris from Shepton Mallet (June 2007)
so far i have tried four of your villas and cant wait for number five roll on october! Mr Barton from Keighley (May 2007)
The most relaxing holiday I have ever had. Will definitely be returning in the future. Mr Lank from Clevedon (March 2007)
