Excellent location on complex, with three balconies. Had a bit of ant infestation though in the lounge. The childrens pool was closed on a couple of occasions due to maintenance staff having to clean up after 'over-excited' kids! everything else was perfect. Janine (19 August 2018)
The apartment was lovely, great location. the family pool and pool area was a little disappointing, it was a bit too overcrowded and small given the number of families it was servicing or that were there each day so we only used those facilities two or three times and only for an hour or so each time just because it was too busy. would benefit from a second family pool, and a bigger poolside area to sit. Helen (12 August 2018)
We’ve just returned from a stay at baia da luz, as a family of two adults and three children. Our apartment was a great size. The furniture was modern, attractive and functional. There was effective, easy to operate air conditioning throughout. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of clothes storage space. We had a cot provided for our toddler and they ensured we had linen and extra towels for her also. The kitchen had everything we needed, including washing machine and the appliances were all of a high standard. There was a large flat screened tv that got a range of uk channels alongside international ones plus a dvd player. Both bathrooms had baths with showers and were immaculately clean and modern. Our apartment had balconies/ terraces front and back with seating and ample room for us to sit out and/or dry clothes. All the windows had electric shutters which could be used. The apartments were cleaned around twice a week but due to a toddler emergency we requested some extra bedding outside those times and it was sorted out for us promptly and they actually cleaned the whole apartment again, which was above and beyond!. we had a hire car and there was ample parking on the street outside or free use of the basement garage. We were on the first floor but there was access via lift in addition to the stairs. The resort had three communal swimming pools which we all enjoyed (one is adults only). there is a pool supervisor at hand all day and the children’s play area is alongside it, as is the bar/restaurant. I would happily recommend the accommodation to any of my friends or family. Catherine from Dalton (07 August 2018)
We were very impressed with the standard and cleanliness of the villa. Ian from Tring (29 July 2018)
Our fourth stay at baia da luz and as enjoyable as always. Lucy from Southampton (24 June 2018)
Ground floor apartment was very well equipped, clean and spacious. Location is ideal for getting in luz or nearby lagos. Peter from Sussex (19 May 2018)
Lovely apartment and pool facilities. Balconies in apartment were off bedrooms and living room. Bedroom ones unusable in evening due to kids asleep in both rooms. Other balcony overlooked road and car parking and had a big air conditioner fan blowing cool air on to it so wasn't enjoyable. Ruth (13 September 2017)
Spacious and clean villa, a bit a way from the main complex but it was very secure and had everything that was needed in it and more Alastair from Tunbridge Wells (28 August 2017)
The villa itself was really lovely but I do feel we should have been told that our apartment 25 1a would be outside of the main resort. we travelled with another family and both requested with yourselves and the resort directly that we would be close together. I assumed that even if not, our children would not have far to travel but being outside the resort they had a road to cross so we couldn't let them venture between the apartments themselves which had a real impact. our rep did offer us another apartment but you couldn't even see the balcony as it was hidden by trees so we knew it wouldn't be as nice as he one we were in. I understand that you are expanding the resort but it is naughty adding on a few more appartments a couple of roads away and saying it's the same as being around the pool or the main part. Jonathan from Leatherhead (20 August 2017)
This is our second time at the flat. the high standard has been maintained. it would definitely be our first choice to stay the next time we come to praia da luz. Michael from Southampton (28 September 2016)
Spacious and well equipped, Stephen from Brentwood. Essex (22 September 2016)
Excellent apartment with all the facilities you might require. Good location with a short walk to the beach. the on site restaurant serves excellent food - booking recommended though. The only downside it a smallish shared pool area where getting a sun lounger can be a problem. John from Shepperton (28 August 2016)
Lovely spacious villa, clean and fresh on the inside. Not in a noisy area. Appreciated the air conditioning. Rachel from Beccles (18 August 2016)
The location is perfect but the bed was really uncomfortable and our balcony was almost entirely covered by trees making it very claustrophobic. Kathryn (18 August 2016)
Really lovely villa. Modern and well equipped in a great location. Nina from Kent (17 August 2016)
Absolutely fantastic, a real relaxing holiday. Loved every minute and sad it's all over. Thank you baia village for making us so welcome. Julian from Burgess Hill (04 August 2016)
The apartment was beautifully furnished and equipped. The location was perfect only 5 minutes from the beach and lots of very good restaurants in easy walking distance. Only downside of complex is that the pool is too crowded, there were not enough sun beds and we were there before the main summer holiday rush Jonathan from Essex (18 July 2016)
Enjoyed staying at baia village, apartment was a home from home and had everything you could ask for. We arrived late and were very grateful for the welcome pack. The pool area was great and we were also within walking distance of the beach. The italian restaurant onsite was brilliant for both evening meals, pool snacks and also takeaway meals. All staff were very pleasant and willing to help if required, our apartment was cleaned regularly throughout our stay. Murdo from Crieff (12 July 2016)
Great setup, we travelled with a toddler and it felt safe, excellent family friendly italian on site, baby pool, family pool, adult pool and play area. I'd happily go again Clare from Preston (06 June 2016)
Beautiful location and amazing apartment - everything you could ask for for an amazing holiday. We are a family of 3 (2yrs daughter) and it got us perfectly. Catherine from Surrey (21 May 2016)
The apartment was large and airy. Two bathrooms so no fighting over who has the first shower/bath. The kitchen was a good size with nice crockery and everything you need to be self sufficient. Unfortunately our balcony didn't get much of the sun compared to the ones below us who had full sun when it was out. Only other downside was that we had to walk down two roads to get to the swimming pools and with a 22 month old who loved water, it wasn't just a case of walking down a couple of stairs to get to the pools. Carol (14 May 2016)
When a swimming pool area is designated as over 16 only then this should be enforced. what should have been a quiet area for adults to relax was ruined by noisy children in the pool with the rule being totally disregarded by their parents. this issue totally lets down the rest of the resort! Sharon (10 April 2016)
A fantastic apartment in an excellent setting close to the beach and all the amenities. This is our third visit here and we will be returning to enjoy the peace it offers at this time of year. We had a lovely sunny balcony are only complaint would be that we looked closely into other apartment bedrooms. Facilities/ furnishings first class and when we had problem with dvds it was quickly resolved. Lindsay from Greater Manchester (09 April 2016)
A fabulous villa with a well-equipped kitchen. A real home from home. The pool was perfect for us with 2 small children and the beach was within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again. Wendy from Cardifg (13 August 2015)
Excellent and relaxing, with friendly helpful reception . lovely pria de luz with . superb cliff walks in both directions. Philip from Earby (29 March 2015)
Beautiful apartment security brilliant maid lovely Caroline from Hemel Hempstead (28 September 2014)
Village was very compact & had everything required at walking distance. Apartments were spotlessly clean. Harry (17 August 2014)
The villa was amazing it really had the WOW factor Mrs Boden (July 2013)
It was a little far from the shops without a car, but perfect for the pool, beach & resturants Mrs Kidd from Crowthorne (August 2012)
We were extremely impressed with the villa. Everything was new, clean, lovely bedrooms/bathrooms and easy to control air-conditioning. Very impressed with frequency of cleaning and changes of bedding/towels etc. Mr Gales from Whitley Bay (July 2012)
The villa, and reception staff were fantastic. The pool and restaurant wonderful. Mrs McWhinnie from Hemel Hempstead (May 2012)
