Very good will come again
Susan (20 April 2018)

Amazing couple of nights will be booking again very soon! spotless beautiful place beautiful surroundings
Claire from Manchester (16 April 2018)

Lovely site and location, club house satisfactory, need more staff always a big queue. Stayed in log cabin was not impressed for the price, dirty inside and out. Not enough equipment inside eg plates, cutlery.
Joanne from Hartlepool (13 April 2018)

We had a lovely week, lodge was well furnished and equipped and the park was very well looked after. Facilities great, we didn't book a slot at the pool soon enough so didn't manage a swim but that's a lesson learnt for our next visit. Very good location for visiting the area. Booked to go again in october.
Penny (13 April 2018)

Due to the busyness of the site we were asked to book to use the swimming pool - however, by the morning following our arrival the pool was already booked for the entirety of our stay. As an indoor pool was one of my reasons for booking this resort we were very disappointed.
Wendy from Lockerbie (13 April 2018)

Our cabin was exceptionally clean, the bedding and towels excellent quality.
Chris (13 April 2018)

Lovely accommodation, really nice park, would definitely recommend.
Alison from Manchester (13 April 2018)

We enjoyed our stay which is why we recommend the place so highly. we have marked the staff down based on 2 issues that we had which should not have been issues along with poor management of the children’s entertainment on one night.
Christopher (09 April 2018)

A lovely holiday park ideally situated for. Suiting windermere and ambleside.
Lisa from Newton-Le-Willows (09 April 2018)

We arrived and had a few issues with the lodge but the staff sorted this out straight away and nothing was a bother. the lodge itself was a bit dated and could do with a refresh.
Nicola from Glasgow (09 April 2018)

Great location but accommodation well overdue a refurbishment.
Steve from Great Yarmouth (06 April 2018)

As a returning customer, it was disappointing to arrive at correct time to find that the unit was still being serviced, not available to us. After a 25 minute wait keys available, however it was disapointing to find that the fridge hadn't been cleaned, someones dirty washing was under one of the beds in one room, rubish was under the bed in the other bedroom, food debris under the table. But more disturbing was the wet towel in a bucket under the boiler, suggesting that there may be a fault. So having to go back to reception was not a very good start. However the onsite engineer quickly came and found no issues with the boiler, the issue was that the unit hadn't been serviced at all. The manager and cleaning supervisor attended with the outcome being we were offered a move, which we took. The new unit was newer and better than the one we booked. So a good outcome but it did take an hour to sort out and the original unit would have been good if it was cleaned and ready. The other issue is that now the site is getting busier you have to book your 45 minite swiming slot in advance, so you have to think and plan your days if you want to swin. Also due to the limited entrance avoid 10:00 on deprture dates as you will be queuing to get out if others are turning right.
John (02 April 2018)

Clean and well presented cabin. Good amenities and great location
Heather from Formby (30 March 2018)

We booked this for my birthday weekend. We had a lovely time. Weather was fab, good location. Very clean & nicely kept park and good amenities for the children. Cabin was lovely & warm on our arrival & we had plenty of towels. Even a dishwasher! the club house was & toilets were also very nice & clean. My only issue is that the cabin we stayed in needed a paint job, but I do understand that parks take a lot of maintenance. Would definitely return. Thank you.
Claire from Carlisle (26 March 2018)

Really great place.
John from Ormskirk (26 March 2018)

Excellent place and location
Paul from Staffordshire (26 March 2018)

Went at a cold time when we had snow but found the caravan warm enough dressed in appropriate clothing. the lounge was spacious and kitchen well equipped. the twin beds were a bit narrow but usual for a caravan but they were only used once by our granddaughter when she visited overnight. the little on-site supermarket was well stocked and surprisingly well priced. we didn't use the gym or swimming pool but these seemed a reasonable size and clean. again we didn't make use of the entertainment as that is not our thing but others seemed happy with it.
Janet from North Wales (24 March 2018)

Had a fantastic time. Place was very tidy and very friendly. Will be returning.
Emma from Hebburn (23 March 2018)

We couldn't have asked for more from our stay, staff helpful and friendly, facilities all excellent for our needs and accomadation was great for us. Would definitely book again.
Natalie from Newcastle (23 March 2018)

An excellent break in a great place - top marks!
David (23 March 2018)

Very good
Barry from Merseyside (23 March 2018)

Perfect relaxing break
Jeremy (23 March 2018)

On arrival to our lodge we noticed, entering the property it was extremely cold. I found the boiler and noticed it was flashing a fault. As I was traveling with a friend who has a movement disorder heating in the lodge was very important. I went immediately to report this problem. I decided to put the kettle on and have a hot drink while we waited for a staff member to come and look at our heating issue. it was at this point we noticed there was no kettle or microwave. We also noticed there was no toilet roll, tin opener, bottle opener and very limited plates, cutlery and trays to cook food in the oven. Cleanliness was very poor. glasses were stuck to the surface of the cupboard. Cutlery was dirty and there was children cereal on the carpet area by the sofas. Maintainence did come after a short period of time and fix our boiler which supplied our heating and hot water and while he was there we asked about the other issues which I have just told you about. Half an hour later and the maintenance man was back with a brand new kettle and microwave. the heating was on and warming up. In the meantime I still needed loo roll and so again I went to ask for at least one roll. ( I was happy to buy further loo roll if required). whilst waiting to be seen to several other fellow holiday makers were also asking for items and one of the issues was in a lodge was, they had no quilts and towels. These are all basic items that should be in the lodges and checked they are working . a complaint to the staff gained me a meeting with a senior team member and I was given a small refund to compensate my now disastrous and very disappointing stay. Sadly the damage was done and my birthday treat was ruined. I will not return to this resort again. I hope no other families suffer this situation as I know too well how hard I had to work in order to pay for my stay.
Jan from County Durham (19 March 2018)

Lodge was old . gaps in wood showing daylight. Veranda door had gaps. Weather was freezing. Gas boiler on all the time. Expensive for a tatty looking lodge. Bar at night took ages to get served.
Stuart (19 March 2018)

Lodge was clean and spacious, hot tub was lovely although not ready for our first day even though we had paid for early check in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was lovely in boathouse and josh’s gin fizz was amazing.
Marie from Billingham (16 March 2018)

Generally the site is ok and even though a lot of work was being carried out on the jetty's by the waters edge, the views were still nice.
Joanne (16 March 2018)

Beenabout 10 times now excellent holiday
Donald from Wallasey (16 March 2018)

Excellent facilities this was our second visit to white cross bay really enjoyed the site well located.
Steve from Bolton (12 March 2018)

We were in unit 3 rydal... very minimal kitchen equipment a joke really. . no fry pan, no teapot. The toaster barely worked. . the road noise from the main road annoying..had to keep windows closed at night from the non stop traffic! . . the beds were comfy and the place was clean enough. . th pool and hot tub were the best part. Although saying that after driving 4.5 hours to get there and find out the pool closes at 6pm was again annoying. Be aware if you stay there in the summer months family you will only be allowed in for 45 mins at a time and only once a day!the on site shop was poorly stocked and closed early. . . the common laundry area was dirty and needed cleaning. . the staff in the food service area were lazy to the point of at least 8 tables needing clearing and they just seemed not to be bothered about it!. . would I stay here again ..not a chance. . very disappointing .
Sharon (12 March 2018)

We all had such a great time at your park. the staff were always helpful and entertainment staff were brilliant with the kids. it was such a lovely cabin with great view and surroundings. the only downside was the service at the bar. the staff were not very attentive and everything seemed to take forever however it did not put a dampener on the holiday, thanks again!
Andrew (09 March 2018)

Returned this year as we had such a good holiday last year. Will definitely return again! clean caravan, lovely park, clean pool, beautiful area, friendly and helpful staff!
Ruth (09 March 2018)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 3 days. Snowed so we didn't venture out anywhere we relaxed in the lodge. Very pleasant
June from Wirral (02 March 2018)

The holiday itself was really good however there were a few things missing from the log cabin. There were no tea towels, bottle opener or oven mits which I would count all as essentials. the horse rub didn't work properly either and after paying all that money for one we were a little disappointed with this.
Claire from Kingswinford (26 February 2018)

Ok if you don't mind walking, not ideal if you are not good on your feet. Over all pleasant stay, lodge was nice and clean with lovely surroundings. Only downside was the on site shop - worst i've ever been in, very poorly stocked. I know there is a supermarket a couple of miles away, still no excuse.
Kris from Liverpool (26 February 2018)

Good pool
Elaine (23 February 2018)

The location is lovely and convenient. the log cabin was warm and the interior was clean, if a little dated. . the only issues were that there were used dog poo bags left on the deck outside and the varnish on the log cabin needed updating.
Elizabeth from Wirral (23 February 2018)

Struck lucky with fantastic accommodation at great value as a last minute family break. Website didn't do it justice. Stayed at a lot of sites home and abroad, and this has a great feel to it. Not too small, but not to corporate and commercial either. Hosted some friends there as well, who were also blown away. Definitely return.
Paul from Manchester (23 February 2018)

This site is a lot bigger than first anticipated. Mostly large wooden lodges some privately owned . caravans are excellent although the one we were in was a little cold, the central heating was not good
Derek from Rhuddlan (23 February 2018)

A great place for my family to have a break with good facilities and friendly helpful staff. Will be returning for years to come if standards are maintained. Thanks
Andrew from Wigan (19 February 2018)

Lovely park and entertainment good, lodge lovely although had to report minor issues numerous times with fire not working and problem with bedroom tv not working gave up in end as 3day break and meant to be holiday not stressing..just annoying paying for nicer lodge things not working and not rang back but at least they can sort for next guests but we enjoyed our stay
Rachel (19 February 2018)

Our log cabin was quite comfortable but storage space was very poorly designed. We had plenty of wardrobe hanging space but only 4 hangers, negligible drawer space apart from 2 tiny bedside drawers each and no shelves, which could easily have been provided within the empty wardrobe area. There were no pegs on bedroom or bathroom doors, which would have helped and nowhere to put clothes or toiletries in the bathroom. The swimming pool was overcrowded on saturday evening, despite having to book the sessions and changing rooms were totally inadequate, as due to separate swimming sessions, everyone wanted to shower and change at the same time. Restaurant service and waiting times were good, even though it was busy and the food was okay and reasonably priced.
Susan from Grantown On Spey (19 February 2018)

Great caravan did smell slightly but as it's for pets it's not surprising
Lisa from Bolton (19 February 2018)

Lovely short break.
Karen (12 February 2018)

Great van
Ruth (08 December 2017)

We stayed in a lodge for 4.it was a bargain break for 4 adults & 2 children. Considering. What we paid and the fact that there were somany plusses it seems churlish to complain,. however we did find a twin room very small for 2 adults. Accomodation was more luxurious than we were expecting. I found it tricky to navigate the site after dark. Some larger illuminated signs would be an asset. An earlier check- in would have been appreciated as it was dec. I did try to arrange this in advance but didn't manage to achieve his in spite of speaking to both site and central booking. . location, staff, pool and club were all good. We didn't try the restaurant or activities. Thank you for providing a great setting for a relaxed family get-together to celebrate granny's birthday.
Janet from Chester (04 December 2017)

Been going for years . love it though my son did make an email enquiry which was unanswered
Teresa from Blackburn (04 December 2017)

Great, clean will be staying again
Katherine (04 December 2017)

I had an older log cabin but would request a different one next time . the food at the club house was good but beer price very dear. I paid £4.80 for a bottle of beer . location is central for touring lakes keswick just over 30 mins away.
Carl (04 December 2017)

Would like nicer dog friendly caravans
Tracy from Mansfield Notts (02 December 2017)

Really liked caravan and its location close to windermere however too many lodges and caravans on this site. The restaurant staff friendly and helpful but the food not great.
Janice from Wigan (01 December 2017)

We stayed in the lodges , and a few things were missing or not right which did not tick all the boxes. 1. Most of the shower heads in the toilets were leaking ( we had 2 lodges and 4 toilets ) and all four were leaking an due to this less pressure . 2. The toilet seat were loose in every toilet , sliding just a quick fix would make it more desirable . 3. No oven gloves and chopping board .
Shyam from Miltonkeynes (01 December 2017)

Nice location would stay there again
Geoffrey (01 December 2017)

Excellent great cabin very clean
Chris from Widnes (27 November 2017)

Amazing site, beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful time
Marie from Harrogate (27 November 2017)

Our caravan was clean, warm and well-equipped; perfect for a weekend break. Stunning location on the edge of windermere, we will definitely be back!
Cathy from Manchester (27 November 2017)

Very good all round
Paul from Mildenhall Suffolk (25 November 2017)

Great accomodation, lovely setting.
Adrian from Alston (24 November 2017)

It rained all week when we were there so thank goodness for the leisure centre. The gym was very hot so I think the air-con needs an overhall. It would have been better if the facility was open until around 7 so that guests can use the facilities after a day out.
Melanie from Castleford (24 November 2017)

Lodge wasn't the cleanest. Poorly lit site difficult to drive round in the dark. No dish towels to dry pots. Broken blind. Dvd in bedroom didn't work and no batteries in the living room remotes.
Jonathon (24 November 2017)

Lodge lovely cosy and warm and clean in most areas except cooker and relaxing peace and quiet only disappointment was the cooker had a layer of old cooking grease all in the bottom couldn't use it it smelled awful and the mattresses on beds are dreadful the are so soft and unsupportive need firmer mattresses and no mattress protectors have been numerous times to white cross do love it and will come again also at the lodge we stayed there was no where to park which we found a problem as there is huge tree but we wouldn't want the tree to be taken down
Karen from Lytham At Anne'S (24 November 2017)

Excellent accommodation mattress a bit to hard but overall excellent time there with it also being our honeymoon
Paul from Dolgarrog (20 November 2017)

We stayed in the medley lodge . the spec. Of it was brilliant and would recommend to anyone.
Asma from Blackburn (20 November 2017)

Lovely holiday site with great views and places to walk, lovely the caravan we stayed in. Can’t wait to come back again next year.
Lauren (20 November 2017)

Great lodge and overall stay. The site was good, the cabins were close but we actually didn't have an issue with pravicay. . . the staff were helpful, there was a store on site and overall in a great location. . the only improvement could be the on site boat house. When we arrived for an evening drink it was too full and so we had to return to the lodge.
Michelle (20 November 2017)

Ideal break for a family. We went out of season and got a good deal on a 4 night stay. Pool is nice and so were the staff. We never ate in the restaurant but seen it was quite expensive. Ideally located to explore local area plus there's an outdoor activity centre which we went which has zip lines and tree top walking which was fun
Steven (17 November 2017)

Location location location this site is in the perfect area for ease of access. . however very tightly packed over crowded . saying that I would stay again.
David from Hull (17 November 2017)

Perfect for our requirement. Near the lakes and mountains to explore with the dog, near windermere and a nice place to come home after a long day out and about.
David (11 November 2017)

Beautiful accomodation set in wonderful surroundings. Excellent facilities on site. Would highly recommend the wastwater lodges.
Richard from Castleford (10 November 2017)

Wasn't what we were expecting very let down from start to finish place needs updating very run down wudnt recommend
Mrs (10 November 2017)

Very nice
Helen from Burscough (10 November 2017)

Lovely place to stay with a family- good value and good facilities. . any queries addressed very quickly by team of helpful staff. No complaints. . will be returning!
Olivia from Manchester (10 November 2017)

Lovely holiday park, helpful staff, great facilities, loved the lodge and the food in the restaurant was great. Would definitely return.
Kirsty from Warrington (10 November 2017)

Disappointed dogs not allowed in bar area. Had a meal saturday night, table very dirty meal just warm enough, two or three families together in a big group and adults swearing constantly, f*** word spoken often and loudly. Staff came out to serve food and over heard and told them to stop it though. Experience in in door pool very good. Log cabin very clean and cosy.
Sarah from Rotherham (06 November 2017)

Very poor the caravan had not been cleaned and it had a nasty smell in the bathroom plus had mould on the walls and ceiling, will not stay there again
Helen from Eastrington (06 November 2017)

Lodge cleanliness and maintenance was quite poor, with kitchen services and utensils needing to be washed before we could use them. Light bulbs were missing, the bathroom sink leaked and wardrobe doors hanging off. staff were friendly but none of the issues rectified during our stay. Location was excellent
Deborah from Oldham (03 November 2017)

Very dirty caravan and the kitchen was ill equipped.
Nicola from Sheffield (03 November 2017)

Beautiful location, park lovely and clean and well looked after. Nice restaurant with good menu. Pool area small but nice, not sure about taking shoes off in the foyer, just caused delays. . the caravan we had was an upgraded unit and although it had everything we needed, the bedrooms were very small and the two rooms with twin beds were very small and quite clostrophobic, would definetley go for the lodge if we returned.
Jackie (03 November 2017)

Lovely place to stay, didn't use facilities as only short break, but cabin was warm, comfortable and clean
Rhiannon from Mold (03 November 2017)

Lovely place, food in on site club house in lovely didn't have a bad meal all week.
Tina from Hull (03 November 2017)

Fantastic location. Lovely and cosy lodge.
Chris from Colne Lancs (03 November 2017)

Luxury caravan and lovely club house both let down by being a bit dirty and grubby. Understaffed restaurant meant tables left uncleared and an hour wait for food.
Jason from Liskeard (30 October 2017)

White cross bay is ideally situated and has decent onsite facilities with the small towns of windermere and ambleside close by. Brockhole visitor centre is just 10 minutes walk away where we enjoyed the treetop trek. . it's a beautiful part of the world and we loved exploring a small part of it so will definitely be back !
Nicholas from Sunderland (27 October 2017)

A fantastic time was has by the whole family and we most certainly will be back in the near future. Xxx
Lorraine from Bolton (27 October 2017)

Apart from windy wet first night we had a great time. . central heating and comfortable beds. maybe a bit too soft. Wi fi wasn't great and choice of tv channels limited.also problems with picture breaking up quite often.
Stephen from Leicester (21 October 2017)

Lovely place to stay but the lodge was quite dirty and we had to wash all utensils before use.
Sidney from Cardross (21 October 2017)

Excellent location, beautiful accommodation, friendly staff
Kirsty from Kirsty (20 October 2017)

Great setting, nice lodge but had to complain about the bedroom curtains being quite badly torn. I also complained that the mat inside the lodge at the front door was smelling of urine. I was informed by staff that housekeeping would attend to this, but they never did.
Katrina (20 October 2017)

Lodge appeared not to have been used for a long time. Next to children's play area which was awful, horrible.
Yvonne from York (20 October 2017)

Lodge was not as clean as I would have expected - oven filthy, empty whisky bottle in the wardrobe and a blocked sink in the bathroom. Site overall is well maintained and in a great location. Disappointed at having to 'book' a time to use the pool, sauna etc. I understand you need to monitor bather numbers, but how do you know what time you will want to use the facilities? all we really wanted to use was the sauna and jacuzzi (after walking the fells) but we were told we would have to book a time for this also, as the facilities were pool side. I'm 47 years of age, my husband is 60, can we not be trusted not to 'sneak' into the pool? in the end we never used any of the facilities as I do not like working to a 'schedule' whilst on holiday.
Sheila from Prestonpans (20 October 2017)

Too close together. Attention to detail with crockery needed, light bulbs missing; drain pipe outside twin beefed room had leaking guttering. Outside table not required but was almost collapsed and had been burned.
Julie from Manchester (16 October 2017)

Lodge dirty, not vacuumed, surfaces dirty. Light bulbs out, lock on bathroom door missing. Only one teaspoon. Bad smell of damp in bedroom.
David (16 October 2017)

Been to white cross bay a few times. First time with hoseans. no probs with booking etc.. helpfull staff. Only thing was cabin slept four but only two glasses. 3 mugs etc.. and oven all controll markings had worn off. but apart from that can't fault. Clean and tidy.
Jaimie from Bradford (16 October 2017)

Loverly caravan site been many times over the years. Dont like that they have stopped putting towels in the caravans and only given half hour in the pool before being asked to leave not very relaxing
Karen from Liverpool (16 October 2017)

This is the third time at white cross bay will definitely be going again.
Iain from Manchester (13 October 2017)

The location was great and lovely place to visit close to nice waterfalls and beautiful lakes , spa was very good. But the disappointment was we should check in at 4 pm very late , and checkout was 10am very early. They asked to pay extra money to have in better timing. . which is not right.
Kochekali from They Asked To Pay Extra Money To Have In Better Ti (13 October 2017)

Lovely place and setting. lodges a bit close together but nice all the same
Mia from South East (13 October 2017)

Was amazing had a fab break with the family. And there was lots to do with my little boy.
Sophie (13 October 2017)

Could not fault accommodation. . . only a short break so did not use any park facilities. . . would come again for a longer stay.
Steven from London (13 October 2017)

Excellent location and accommodation, our third visit and we are looking forwards to our forth visit.
Martin from Wakefield (13 October 2017)

Love the site and facilities, we'll be back next year.
Elizabeth from Manchester (13 October 2017)

Disappointed with the lodge. On arrival it was dirty, the dishes and cutlery was dirty and we had no hot water or heating as the boiler was faulty ( it was repaired the following day). the park was clean and well run
Jeanette from Sunderland (09 October 2017)

Lodge lovely bed extremely comfortable and staff very helpful. Food on site we thought was very expensive for the selection on offer
Penny from Great Yarmouth (07 October 2017)

Fantastic location and great to get about . caravan was disappointing too many cramped on to site and there was a smell of damp . kitchen utensils broken or missing
Michael from Wirral (06 October 2017)

Fantastic location with great amenities and the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially the young lad in the restaurant, a credit to your staff
Yvonne from Livingston (06 October 2017)

Great holiday stayed over the weekend lovely lodge clean and everything you need. Food at the restaurant was very good and great value.
Brian from Newport (02 October 2017)

Although the staff in the clubhouse where very helpful, the site itself is too crowded and shabby looking. The static we had was very outdated and needs refurbishing, smelt musty and the beds had see better days. Didn't get any notification that we needed to take our own towels and 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets.bins located right outside and very noisy with people passing by. Stayed at fallbarrow in the past and this was a far superior site. Disappointed.
Lorraine from Cheshire (02 October 2017)

Very disappointed in location as we were lead to believe we had lake views with use the lake. we were basically in a wood glad caravan park with views into everyone elses cabin. we couldnt use the lake at the park as it was a private marina. had to travel to use lake and to find walks etc.
Vicki (02 October 2017)

Both bathrooms smelt really foisty. Every tile on the kitchen floor was cracked. no instructions on how to use the appliances within the lodge. bathroom show screen seal in urgent need of replacement. Outside table full of used cigarettes. neither bathroom bin was emptied prior to arrival. Animal excrement all over the bottom step to the lodge.
Darren from Wakefield (02 October 2017)

Great holiday
Olly (29 September 2017)

We did not get the key for our accommodation until after 5.30 we had very noisy neighbours slamming car doors at 6am
Barry (29 September 2017)

Disappointing . unclean cabin on arrival . very confusing booking process . lack of attention to detail evident . amazing location so real shame
Julia (29 September 2017)

Would definitely recommend white cross bay easily accessible to ambleside and bowness. White cross bay park very clean and tidy. The only issue is that our lodge could do with a bit of updating. Would stay at white cross bay again
Karen from Wallasey (29 September 2017)

Caravan was clean and had everything we needed in it. Staff were helpful. Only negative was that the pool was only open 10:15-17:00 which is when we were out. Would have been nice to have been able to go for a morning/evening swim.
Rachel from Ystradgynlais (29 September 2017)

Beautiful location, good facilities and spacious accommodation. The perfect place for a relaxing break.
Michael from Falkirk (25 September 2017)

Fantastic location and park, we had a great time, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely book again
Lynn from Teesside (25 September 2017)

Great location with helpful staff. Only downside was food in restaurant not great quality bit like microwave food, not freshly prepared. Kids portions very small with little or no healthy veg.
Jean from Scotland (25 September 2017)

Location is fine. Access to gym and swimming pool is very limited and small so do not go here on grounds of these facilities. Cleaning is poor standard here and even management know it is poor but have done nothing about it.
Scott (23 September 2017)

Lovely place to stop at staff are really good.
Micheal from Wednesbury (23 September 2017)

Really enjoyed our stay, looking forward to coming back!
Andrew from Gloucester (23 September 2017)

Great place to stay. Lovely well equipped caravan. Our first time there and nothing to complain about with the caravan or site and no reason why we will not be visiting again. The only drawbacks were mobile phone signal not too good, therefore, couldn't receive contact from home and vice versa and caravan not ready until 16.00hrs which is a bit late in the day. Feel this should be 14.00hrs.
Sarah from Crewe, Cheshire (22 September 2017)

It is fantastic accommodation in a beautiful setting
Brian from Ipswich (22 September 2017)

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Amenities were good. Only down side was exiting the site.
Steven from Basingstoke (22 September 2017)

Exceptional holiday park in a beautiful setting.
Richard from Nuneaton (22 September 2017)

We enjoyed our stay, the only downside was the delay in checking in.
June from Middlesbrough (22 September 2017)

Caravans very dated and not very clean. Mattress had signs of damp. Foists smell
Nigel (18 September 2017)

Fab location, but unfortunatley our caravan had a cery strong smell of wet dog, although clean, the smell was rather overpowering!
Gwen (18 September 2017)

The lodges are beautiful and very spacious. . clean and tidy on arrival. Only let down was we had no towels in any of the bathrooms which we was told were provided.
Craig from Sheffield (18 September 2017)

Stunning park.. rained our entire week but we had so much fun going on 'bear hunts' through the woods and plenty of splashing in muddy puddles.. perfect family time. Club house and pool were great.. clean, good menu and reasonably priced.
Nicola from Staffordshire (16 September 2017)

A great time, well placed for our type of break.
David from Thanet Kent (15 September 2017)

A lovely place to stay very family orientated nice clean accommodation and helpful staff
Mandy (15 September 2017)

Treated like a second class citizen because we didn't book through park resorts.advertised draught beers, only bottled beer available at £5.00 a bottle. Although 2 draught beers advertised none offeredto customers. Bar manageress very rude, enjoyed bullying her staff , in front of customers.reduced food menu, looked inedible. Location fine, surroundings reminded us of a prison camp.
Ruth from Walker Deal Kent (15 September 2017)

Took staff four days to fix our heating leaving the caravan very cold and damp each night! area is beautiful and complex nice and clean. Would stay again but not in a caravan as no hoover is provided and staying in a dog friendly accommodation isn't ideal! not very clean as there was white hair all in the carpet and I have a black staffie??!! could be cleaner!!!!
Sonja (15 September 2017)

Very central location and nice quiet park. Only used club house once in 4 day break but the staff were very friendly and meal was lovely and reasonably priced. Caravan was beautiful looked brand new with great facilities, in deer park area of park. Only criticism is that caravans very close together but as park was quiet was not a problem. Would definitely return.
James from Co Durham (15 September 2017)

Lovely location. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend
Cheryl from Chelmsford (11 September 2017)

Really enjoyed my stay
Angela (11 September 2017)

If you want an expensive holiday where you have to go ask for the towels and bedding that should have been in the lodge on arrival, or if you like to wake up to a puddle of water due to a leaky window, or carpets that look like they've never seen a hoover, then white cross bay is for you. . . seriously, they need to up their game if they want to charge those fees for that sort of service.
Teresa (09 September 2017)

Great holiday, would come back again!
Carl from Lowestoft (09 September 2017)

Very nice location. Could do with improving evening entertainment . lodges well equipped very modern and clean . could do with coat hangers and hooks mats on inside of door ways
Tina from Could Do With Improving Evening Entertainment (08 September 2017)

Great thanks
Darren from Walsall (08 September 2017)

Great location, easy access to bowness on windermere and great base for exploring. Only grumble is the cleanliness, could have done with bit more of a clean, but didn't ruin our stay
Ian from Leighton Buzzard (08 September 2017)

We only had a weekend booked as a family special occasion. We had no electricity on site from 9.30am til late afternoon sunday 3rd september.
Jill (04 September 2017)

Good park, great location.
Catherine from Wigan (04 September 2017)

The unit was damp and the layout of the site was overcrowded with no privacy.
Miles from Bishops Waltham (02 September 2017)

Great location on banks of windemere. Caravan pretty good, although would definitely go for lodge next time. Restaurant small and busy which led to long wait times, but good was good.
Simon from Evesham (01 September 2017)

A great base for the lake district. Not the best caravan we have hired but ok for a short break. The site is clean and well maintained with a variety of activities and facilities for families.
Michelle (28 August 2017)

We had an ok holiday, the only problems we experienced was the caravan we stayed in smelt disgusting of wet dog. As well as the carpets and sofas. My two children are allergic to dogs and whilst playing on the carpet with their toys would come out in rashes. So medication had to be given. . I had to put towels down for my children to play and when I sat on the sofa or floor with them. I would have dog hair on my clothes. Which obviously I was not impressed with. Not the best enviounment for children or adults who don't want to smell dog, or have hair over them. . the master bed in the bedroom was broken sloping down on one side, either someone large often sleeps that side or it needs replacing. Obviously meaning my self and my partner slept poorly for the week and apart. Paying the amount of money we did I would have expected a van not smelling like a kennel and having a bed that was suitable for a couple.
Nicola from Chorley (28 August 2017)

On arrival our double bed had been made up with a duvet cover rather than a sheet and it took the staff over 24hours to sort it! poor cleaning noted in the lodge with cobwebs in each room and a thick layer of dirt on the kitchen blinds. Sadly we were positioned next to the multi sports area so had a almost constant noise of footballs being banged against the wire fence, not very pleasing. In a way it was lucky that it rained most days as there was no comfortable seating outside, we had to drag our dining room chairs out onto the verander. We were not impressed by the booking system for the pool..the joy of holidays is being spontaneous and not needing to stick to a schedule, which this went against.
Jude from Pershore (28 August 2017)

Caravan is in much need of a deep clean we had to clean floors, toilets and bathrooms on arrival as everything was dirty.
Andrew (28 August 2017)

Great location for visiting the surrounding towns. The caravan was very basic. I wouldn't pay for a "luxury"one again and the money we paid isn't worth what we got. Wifi around the park was lousy. The park shop was normal priced and the restaurant had great food and was also good prices. For the pool you have to book your 45 minute session which didn't work well with us at all. as for the location of the park you can't fault it and that is why we'll go back. I recommend while you are there to walk around the park with the map marking where you like. For an extra £25 you can reserve the caravan or lodge of your choice as long as it is rentable.
Michelle from Thornton, Cleveleys (26 August 2017)

Great location. clean and tidy. helpful staff.
Alison from Co. Durham (25 August 2017)
