West Sands is ideal to use as a base if you intend to visit local attractions such as Chichester, Portsmouth or Arundel. The weather wasn't that great when we visited West Sands but there is plenty to do on the park, and it is great for kids, especially the Oasis. I even got to attend aqua aerobics on Sunday morning. Great indoor pool complex but for the more hardy campers a shingle beach is less than a stones throw away. Very large site so advisable to take bikes if accommodation far from main complex and the site is flat so cycling is easy. Be aware that the Bunny Train will not take any bikes even those belonging to young children. We had a caravan behind the main complex and were not disturbed at all by rowdy people returning to their caravans late at night even though the site was very busy. Took 2 teenage girls (15) who found plenty to do even though not many youngsters there their own age. This site would appeal to all ages and fitness levels. Selsey is a flat easy walk away with some good small seaside town shops - traditional butchers and bakers to mention two. I wanted to have a weekend away with the family, I had never been to a Hoseasons holiday camp. Booking online was very easy and uncomplicated. The park at Selsey was a good location to use as a base to visit the surrounding area and attractions. The evening entertainment was very good and our children really enjoyed themselves. The childrens entertainment rooms had been very well thought out for parents who have children with a varied age gap, i.e. parents could watch older children in one room and the younger children in the soft play room from sitting area in the middle. The swimming pool was lovely and there was lots to do in the area, from the naval dock yard in Portsmouth, the fair at Southsea and Drusillars Park about 1 hour away. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend this park to others. An excellent holiday for those awkward age children (11 and 12), because it felt totally safe for them to wander around the park in the daytime ,and the beach was literally a stones throw away - we could hear the sea in bed at night! Mr W from Truro

We have 3 boys of different ages - the 2 younger ones loved the Foxes Den club and our 11 year old enjoyed the Quays which was for 11-17 year olds. There were loads of sports activities for the boys to do and the site had lots of good entertainment although the Embassy Club on West Sands was very large and our family preferred the other venues on the 2 other joint caravan parks. I compared the weekend prices with West Sands and Butlins and - West Sands wins any time. I went with 4 children and they had a great time! Loved the pool and all facilities included. We also went to the fair which is great value for money at 10.00 each for 3 hours unlimited rides - and used the go-karts (at £4.50 a bargain) Compare this with some of the facilities at Butlins where you pay 10.00 for additional games, you can see where West Sands is value for money. Staff were extremely helpful and on top of that very nice! I would recommend this park to anyone who wants a break with children. Mrs G from Brighton
