Too many homes crammed in, drainage an issue if it rains the layout is not very good, you can hear the noise from the next homes, not experienced this before from previous holidays, . not enough room to get 2 cars should you have an 8 berth home
Belinda (14 April 2018)

We hired 3 caravans 2 off which the electric went and the gas the reception staff were laid back about it like it’s nothing ! when u have children and no heating hot water not exceptable the plots around the caravan where thick mud ! we all have had dinner in the club house restaurant we waitied over 1 hr and 15 mins for our dinner and then was missing out items ! very disappointed
Kerry from Wallington , Surrey (09 April 2018)

We arrived on 2nd april. We were given the keys to the mobile home on arrival but was very disappointed when entering to find it smelling of stale cigarette smoke. I went to reception to complain but was told we couldn’t have a different one as there wasn’t any. 10 mins later they did send a very apologetic lady round to de fog the home to clear it of the smell. 12 hrs later back to the way it was when we arrived. . came home after 4 days. . had enough. These park homes need to be thoroughly checked over before the keys are handed over. Bad management......
Colin from Tring, Hertfordshire (09 April 2018)

If it rains we found that in a lot of cases people were stepping out of their caravan into 4 inches of water . not my idea of fun
Clifford (02 April 2018)

We had a lovely stay in a marlin caravan at west bay over easter. The caravan was perfect for our family of two adults and two children, it was clean, modern and well-equipped, and very warm for a chilly march visit. It's very compact so any more guests, or more adults, would probably be a bit squished. The location is great, west bay is a nice little area, it's only a few minutes walk to the beach and there are shops and cafes nearby, and a really good playground. It's also very easy to get to other places e.g. Charmouth for fossil hunting, only 15-20 min drive. The caravan park facilities are fine but we didn't use them much as we were out and about - the pool was okay although not massive, soft play area fine for under 5s.
Elizabeth from Reading (30 March 2018)

We booked a crayfish caravan, on arrival we found we were in a private caravan, which was fab. The caravan was very comfy with central heating & decking which was great as we had a dog with us. As it was a private caravan it had loads of extras including books/dvds, which we made use of. We only used the site as a base so didn’t use any of the parks facilities. There was a great fish & chip shop right outside of the site entrance, lovely fish & basically we had 2 portions for the price you’d pay for 1 in the local bars, just a shame it didn’t open sunday evenings. If we were to return to this area we would definitely come back & request the same caravan, thank you to whoever the caravan belongs to.
Jane from Southampton (26 March 2018)

All great, pity we did not receive a doormat, but everything else was fine. Excellent help from staff, could not do enough for you, excellent quality caravan, excellent area.
Alan from St Germans Cornwall (16 March 2018)

We visited out of season with a preschooler. It was wonderful! the staff were so friendly and even the wet weather didn't dampen the fun!
Charli from Plymouth (16 March 2018)

I am writing this to express my extreme disappointment with our weekend break at your westbay park. This was the first time we have ever taken a long weekend break and the first time with our westie dog. . I understand that it is march but the place we were given to stay was waterlogged and very very muddy. We could have tried to avoid the mud but impossible with the dog as the mud was surrounding the entrance to the caravan and all around. It's been about 20 years since we last visited a caravan park when the children were growing up and I cannot recall staying in such bad conditions. . the experience has totally turned us away from such a holiday break. We don't mind the rain, cold etc. But we do expect a reasonable environment.
Terry (12 March 2018)

Although you pay for entertainment passes most of the facilities are open to the public without a pass. We hired a seahorse centrally heated caravan at the beginning of november, we had a couple of frosty nights and struggled to keep the caravan warm.
Brian from Cwmbran (10 November 2017)

Beautiful cosy dolphin caravan . lovely park just across the road from harbour ,nice pubs and a few shops . very good area which is around 2 miles from bridport lovely market on wednesdays with stalls selling various items scattered through the streets .dorchester and weymouth also worth a visit. Lyme regis around 8 miles and a great place to visit , very nice little shops selling beautiful things. Really enjoyed our stay and would defiantly recommend. Thank you west bay for a great break.
Sandra from Treharris (10 November 2017)

I have been here every year for the last for years . I know what to expect for the park and you pay for what you get. However when you have a caravan with no path to it l, and you have to walk through a marsh to get to your door I do not think this is acceptable. also there was damp in the bedroom and the caravan was less then a year old.
Aaron from Birmingham (06 November 2017)

Fantastic holiday great site loads to do. Fossil hunting. Lovely harbour.sea fishing from beach or boat and weymouth and lyme regis 10 minutes away
Stephen from Oswaldttwistle (03 November 2017)

Lovely area. Ideal base for fishing
Sarah (03 November 2017)

Great for children and adults as well
Carole from Plymouth (30 October 2017)

Westbay is ideally located with harbour, cliffs and beach within easy walk of campsite. Entertainment staff work hard, and even though "lizzy the lizard" has never won starland crazy (after 10 days at a parkdean resort), my 5 year old enjoyed his stay. . only criticism is that the bars seemed understaffed in the evening.
Andrew (30 October 2017)

Despite a couple of niggles about the hospitality in the restaurant, it was overall a very relaxing holiday in a lovely area. Staff helpful and friendly and good facilities. Main downfall - in evenings, not enough seating, had to stand. Seemed packed in too.
Karen from Watford (27 October 2017)

Very good apart from parking .in the bays on the road the lines are too close together so you cant get doors open on cars, and should be more spaces
Adrian from Alton (27 October 2017)

Brilliant few days. Accommodation was warm and comfortable with everything we needed.
Margaret from Swindon (27 October 2017)

Caravan was nice and clean, but missing a dining chair and then got given a stained chair from the bar. gch pressure was low and didn't work, but security was quick to sort it. . found the pool was not accessible for people with disabilities as getting in and out was hugely difficult. Music was horrendously loud in the swimming pool which we also heard back at our caravans, which did not make our time in the pool fun. . parking was difficult, especially where we were as ground was flooded making it difficult to get in and out.
Sharon from Brighton (20 October 2017)

Would only use this site for convenience of visiting a friend . we found the site very claustrophobic with caravans in lines close together.
Roy from Horsham (16 October 2017)

Love west bay
Kathleen from Bolton (16 October 2017)

Great holiday in westbay. Very friendly staff. Was just me and my 3 year old and we were made to feel very welcome. The entertainment staff were great. Little one loved all the activities we joined in with and the music in the evenings. The swimming pool was good fun too and sean most days! great location being so close to the sea front. And lovely fish and chips right in the doorstep! we were on a budget and having great kitchen facilities really helped. Even did a roast dinner 1 night! x
Emma from Fordingbridge (14 October 2017)

We had it all nice weather, sea fishing was good fun at night with drinks and entertainments
Philip from Weston Super Mare (09 October 2017)

Lovely camp but our caravan was too far from complex could not see any shows as too far to walk to travelled with my 90 year old mother . it would be ago of idea to have a little train going around camp at intervals to pick people up
Suzanne from Cardiff (09 October 2017)

We loved our holiday at west bay, the caravan was spotlessly clean beds were comfortable as was the rest of the caravan, even when it rained all night and the ground around the caravan was flooded , it did,nt bother us, we just took our shoes and socks off and paddled to dry ground, it just added to the fun, and in our group of 4 not one of us was under 60 years old. We will be back
Carol from Odiham Hook Hampshire (02 October 2017)

Lovely caravan and area the only thing that let it down was the parking area- very muddy
Annmarie (02 October 2017)

Luxurious caravan in stunning surroundings
Debbie from Wellingborough (29 September 2017)

Great holiday and location, I only gave 5 rating for value as I paid over 500 pounds for a full week for a mediocre caravan when I have had top of the range one through sun holiday for well fraction of the cost.
Jason (23 September 2017)

Although we didn't stay on the park much, it was a good base to visit weymouth, poole and brownsea island and the surrounding area. The local pub/diner situated near the harbour provided good food and drink.
Robert from Lancing (22 September 2017)

Caravans are too tightly packed together, lack of parking spaces and the ones that are available are as small as possible, our caravan didn't even have it's own space, yet cheaper ones did, go figure. West bay is nice but the site is not, only go if you enjoy being a sardine with your neighbours and enjoy hunting for a small parking space.
Marcus from Gloucester (11 September 2017)

The site is now jam packed with caravans, parking awful, very over priced, but westbay itself lovely.
Annette (11 September 2017)

We love west bay !!
Stephen from Andover (08 September 2017)

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. what a great place to stay, we all had a great time. now we know why families return year after year and we will be one of those too now. ideal location, everything you need on the doorstep. we were blessed with good weather, giving us the opportunity to make the most of the beaches, enjoying a great british holiday.
Carrie from Wolverhampton (02 September 2017)

Clean well run site ...caravan was bang on spec as advertised , web site kept crashing and wouldn't load with the discounted price , several attempts with visa to no avail. Finally got thro and had missed the deal if there was one . had to go to next van up and extra £100 ....nearly went elsewhere , caravan was clean but dog hairs surfaced during week ,we have no dog ....arrived slightly early on booking ,got the impression rightly or wrongly that hoeseaesons customers where less priority . great place will use again
Chris from Wolves (02 September 2017)

Lovely, clean, spacious caravan. Location of caravan park is great! food at the park restaurant wasn't very good, but there are plenty of delicious places around.
Daniel from Bury St Edmunds (02 September 2017)

Location was great, with beaches & walks close by. Perfect too for days out to poole, weymouth, family farms etc. The luxury caravan was perfect for the family. . the entertainment had something for everyone (and we ranged from 1 year old to 80 year old). . swimming pool was overcrowded with not enough changing facilities - perhaps grouping sessions into ages would be better than 'general swim" & being open to the public did not help matters. The food in the cafe / bar was excellent, but the pool table could do with relocation, as we were unable to enjoy evening meal with the kids shouting at each other playing pool.
Jude from Knighton (02 September 2017)

Oyster caravan was lovely and well care for. additional wc was an added bonus. site situated on the harbour and although we did not use any of the facilities the site appeared quiet and clean. unfortunately, the beach was too pebbly for us but weymouth was only a short drive away.
Rebecca from Northamptonshire (01 September 2017)

Very good had such a wonderful time at westbay
Julie from Dover (01 September 2017)

Park is in a lovely location right in west bay, but its rammed with caravans all very close to each other. swimming pool is a bit small but ok for kids (although its shared with the public). kids soft play area is an embarrassment - they would have been better not bothering. staff were a mixed bag - reception staff nice, but not interested in feedback. the guy I interacted with in the harbor cafe should never be allowed in a customer facing role. coffee is apparently costa, but tasted nothing like any costa i've had before -. was told it was my fault due to the drink I had chosen. Entertainment area quite tired and oppressive. has the potential to be a great site.
Michael from Bristol (01 September 2017)

Great caravan. Lovely site. Perfect location. staff fab, just not enough of them so lots of dirty tables.
Wendy from Crowthorne (01 September 2017)

Great
Ronan (28 August 2017)

West bay is a great place (my favorite) a bit disappointed with the caravan the living area was in the middle no end window was like being in a box very small rooms but was clean with good kitchen facilities my 2 grandchildren had a great time will be back next year.
Martin from Bristol (28 August 2017)

Not much for children to do on site.
James from Bristol (28 August 2017)

Lovely area everything you need in walking distance, with beautiful views. The swimming pool is open to the public, which I was unaware of, so sometimes there was long waits to use the pool, not ideal when you have a toddler with you. Shop on the site very overpriced but morrisons a short drive away so just went there instead.
Customer 45 from Luton (26 August 2017)

Lovely quiet setting, olde-worlde type harbour village, with beach ten minutes walk away. . swimming pools on site and funfair next door. Shop on site was little expensive(as they generally are, convenience) but major supermarket five minutes drive.
Barry from London (26 August 2017)

Caravan clean and tidy. Showing it's age. Site was clean and quiet. Perhaps more facilities for older children 10 plus. Overall pleased.
Judith from Nuneaton (26 August 2017)

Facilities for both adults and children are good. . caravan was lovely and clean and the reception staff were great. Location of site was good and the shop on site was well stocked and helpful. The fish and chip shop just across the road was good too with food cooked to order. Now for the downside..the bar and the entertainment lounge was under staffed. It was dirty and empty glasses were littering the tables.. the bar staff were very busy and at times were chatting when customers queued. Whilst the entertainment team did their best, the quiz every night and other things were boring. Regrettably the restaurant was no better. Dirty tables with so few staff rushed off their feet. On 3 occasions meals costing around £10 each were presented tepid warm and every time the peas were cold. Great shame because if the entertainment, bar and food was up to a more acceptable standard the experience would be lovely. As it is, I could only recommend it if the individual cooked for themselves in their caravan and drank at the local pub off site. I can't see me returning as it is currently not good value for the money paid and spent during the week.
David (26 August 2017)

It was very nice and my grandkids enjoyed them self at that is what matters
Chris (25 August 2017)

Nice camp lovely location
Julie from Eastleigh (25 August 2017)

We stayed in an octopus caravan and we were assured it was a new caravan. The caravan had a broken fire, drippong tap and a broken light on the cooker hood. The dvd player and the cd/radio was also broken. I explained these issues to the reception whilst there and was assured they would be seen to. When I cam back to the caravan the dvd player and cooker light had been fixed but none of the other issues. The radio had been removed and no replacement in its place. I was not contacted by anyone during my stay regarding any of my issues. This was very disappointing as we had booked this particular caravan to use those specific facilities. The caravan was also her tight and snug in places.
Kevin from Polesworth (19 August 2017)

Had to constantly spray fabreeze in the seating area trying to defuse the smell of dogs .
Kay (19 August 2017)

When we first arrived, we thought the park looked a little run down, but we were pleasantly surprised by everything and had a super holiday. The mobile home was in decent condition and had a large bathroom.the kids swam everyday in the pool, we went to local beaches as well as west bay, and our teenage son was delighted by the skatepark in bridgwater. Something for everyone. Had lovely weather all week. The bar prices are reasobanle and the food good. We can also recommend the george nearby for food, but not the west bay as that was too expensive!
Philip from Fleet (19 August 2017)

I came back disappointed as was covered in flee bits,! I have been in touch with you to say all this and waiting for you to get back to me. The swimming pool we had to queue for ages. Otherwise not to bad.
Angela (19 August 2017)

Although the weather wasn't up to normal west country standards, we still enjoyed it very much. The immediate and surrounding areas were superb with great facilities. Our van was very nice and will certainly return. Totally enjoyable
Martyn from Sutton In Ashfield (18 August 2017)

Ideal for families with children. We hardly saw the grandchildren when we were on the park. . the cafe food was basic but expensive for what you got. . . all in all it was exactly what I looked for for taking the grandchildren away.
Wendy from Hampshire (12 August 2017)

Far to expensive for a rainy august week
Pamela from Palmers Greem (12 August 2017)

West bay is a beautiful place and we loved the fact we were so close to the harbour and beach overall we were happy although for the money we paid we feel our caravan was a bit tired looking and could do with a bit of a makeover lots of doors and cupboards were chipped and it was clean on the surface but if you looked to close it was dirty in places . the service in the restaurant could have been a lot better we ate in there twice but on the second occasion we waited over an hour for our meal I heard lots of customers complaining and in all fairness it wasn't that busy lots of empty tables so i'm not sure what the hold up was I went to the bar and asked twice where our food was and both times I was told it was then being put on the plates !!!!! the waitress who was older than the rest was gossiping and laughing to another member of staff about all the complaints which was very unprofessional and rude !!!!! although we didn't let this spoil our holiday.
Lisa from Norwich (12 August 2017)

The park itself was very basic the staff were very helpful entertainment was lacking not much for children's to do climbing frame and a tyre swing ,park needs up dating
Michael from Maidstone (05 August 2017)

We loved the bay with all its shops and delicious food. The pool was fab, but the arcade and shop were open to the public and on a busy through road so we couldn't let the children have as much freedom as usual. The staff were lovely and helpful and an issue with the toilet was fixed promptly. Our actual caravan was very tired, but it was clean and the shower was excellent (very important!). overall we had a good time and knew we were using west bay as a base for weymouth, but I think it was overpriced for what is available on site.
Liane from Berkshire (04 August 2017)

Had a great time bringing my elderly mum plus two dogs. Weather wasn't great but we still enjoyed west bay windy days.
Julia from Aston Clinton - Buckinghamshire (04 August 2017)

Lovely caravan, beautiful location. Only disappointment would be limited food choices
Debbie (28 July 2017)

At night the staff where very noisy when leaving from their shifts, accommodation needed to be bleached. Childrens play area was the best i've ever seen & very clean & my children loved it. For what we paid not happy & we have always used parkdean (5 times before)
Natalie (24 July 2017)

Noisy seagulls, unclean caravan, poor entertainment, expensive shop.
Jodie (21 July 2017)

Very nice.
Debbie from Princes Risborough (21 July 2017)

The site was very good, and in a really good location. The caravan, although clean and tidy was, in our view very basic for the money we paid.
Roger from Crawley. West Sussex (15 July 2017)

West bay holiday was a terrible place to stay facilities were appalling, the only way to describe the restaurant was at best a back street cafe with restaurant prices. The evening entertainment was awful in an even worse venue which looked as though it hadn't had any maintenance carried out for some time. There was nothing to do in west bay I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
Colin from Lochmaben (15 July 2017)

The holiday cost over £700.00 the caravan was very old, was to close to the children play area for the dogs, who ever took this booking they need to think dogs and play area dogs will bark,
Audrey (14 July 2017)

We had a lovely family holiday at west bay in one of the seal caravans. The caravan had everything you need, very clean and well equipped. The park grounds and facilities were great. My only judgement was that the pool was a little on the cold side, for adults, even more-so for my 2.5 year old. My little boy had a great time, loved the entertainment and kids disco! he didn't want to come away and even now keeps on mentioning his holiday, 2 weeks later! thank you west bay for a lovely holiday!
Aimee from Fareham (01 July 2017)

We were really disappointed with the cleanliness of the caravan we stayed in as smelt disgusting. We appreciate we were in a dog friendly caravan but the dog smell was disgusting, we bought 2 scented candles and air fresheners but made no difference eventually left a day early.
Sam from Westbay (30 June 2017)

Caravan was clean and tidy beds were comfy everything you need at hand even had beds made for us on arrival would definitely come again
Angela (30 June 2017)

A good holiday. The park and the van were well kept and clean. Little noise on the site. Well managed. Would have welcomed longer opening times for the pool. Playpark especially appreciated by our 3 year old grandson. West bay is a lovely resort and the site is well located near to the beach and town facilities.
Richard from Wells, Somerset (26 June 2017)

Great location, great entertainment for the kids in the evening..we all really enjoyed it.
Oliver from Oxted (23 June 2017)

Very nice holiday caravan very nice to camp 5mins from beach west bay very nice harbour in all holiday very good.
Colin from Anstey Leicester (23 June 2017)

Beautiful quiet location for a relaxing short break. Children enjoyed the pool and activities, and being right on the beach was lovely. The area is not built up or touristy so was perfect for a laid back family trip. The park itself is clean and restaurant reasonably priced. Planning to go back next year
Jennifer (16 June 2017)

Nice location, park is family friendly. We just used the caravan as a base for exploring the surrounding dorset. Used the pool as the weather was rainy on one day which was fine, not the biggest but the kids had fun. Caravan was nice and clean. Local beach is nice. Entertainment means the kids are distracted while you enjoy a beer. only downside was that we just did a long weekend so not long enough to sample all of the surrounding area. We will be back!!
Ralph (05 June 2017)

Great holiday, kids had a great time. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't review that part. The caravan was excellent and very clean. Surroundings were also clean and tidy, the best we have been to. Glasses in the main bar were not collected at all. That would be my only criticism.
Michelle from Liss, Hampshire (02 June 2017)

Great location and a great caravan to stay in. Very spacious
Colin from Barnet (29 May 2017)

Great place to stay but recycling facilities are almost non existent which is a real shame.
Daniel from Bath (26 May 2017)

We loved the area and west bay itself however the size of the caravan was a disappointment and was much smaller than we are used to. It was a nice caravan although did not feel 'new' and was very narrow so if 6 adults were to book it it would be far too cramped. Also the pitches were very close together. The pool was lovely though needs more mats to go down the slide as there was only about 4/5 so kids were hogging them and a queue built up. The staff really should monitor it if they want kids to use a mat. Other than this we had a lovely weekend and would go back however I think I would try to get a sun hol there as this would be much better value.
Samantha from Gloucester (22 May 2017)

A lovely site, an idyllic setting. Great facilities. Staff welcoming and interested in guests enjoyment.
Colin from Bagshot, Surrey (20 May 2017)

Excellent location, more evening entertainment required.
Sandy from Dorset (19 May 2017)

Loved it
David from West Bay (15 May 2017)

Caravan was nice, but it is a pity they are so close together and no outside furniture . pool was heaving - but that is not your fault!. children's soft play area literally had no things to play with, stank of damp - I even ended up with damp socks from standing on the carpet - no ping pong balls, rubbish stocked in the corner, and in fact, quite a horrible place for all ages. Jurassic coast and surrounding area was however stunning and beautiful, so the best thing was to get up early and go visiting, and play on the beach -- . shop was well stocked though
Diana from Rixensart, Belgium (15 May 2017)

West bay is beautiful. Set in a lovely village near the beach.
Customer 85 from Southampton (08 May 2017)

There were 8 in our party and we hired two vans. . . we all had a wonderfully relaxing time. . . the holiday park is set on the beautiful harbour of west bay and we didn't use our cars at all.
Customer 86 from Southampton (08 May 2017)

Amazing location, park has loads of activities for kids.
Arune (01 May 2017)

Fantastic fun for all the family, easy to book , very helpful staff on site, excellent facilities for the children and the staff took complete control of the activities which were outstanding.
Kim from Berkshire (17 April 2017)

Would definitely recommend this site . only down side not a very big pool
Shane from Boston (14 April 2017)

Great park great location. Had a excellent holiday
Elizabeth from Worthing (14 April 2017)

Beautiful setting and good facilities.
Karim from Torquay (07 April 2017)

Park is lovely, staff very helpful, accommodation was outstanding, amenities great and surrounding area is beautiful. We really enjoyed our holiday and will be back
Samantha from Burnham On Sea (03 April 2017)

Great weekend break in lovely location. Caravan was great and just what expected. Minor issues which we had were resolved quickly by the on park staff.
Victoria from London (03 April 2017)

Beginning of season so staff were getting used to tills etc, but were very polite and helpful
Claire from Reading (03 April 2017)

My only real concern was that we were right next to the entertainment which was noisy at night for the kids trying to get to sleep - which is why we left a day early. Also there was the communal refuse bins which again was noisy and rather unsightly as that's all I could see out of the kitchen and bedroom windows - a suggestion would be to put up a screen of some kind around the bins and maybe hang some hanging baskets of flowers - no one likes to look at bins even when washing up. The site itself was nice and clean and the children had fun in the amusements and swimming pool. I would come back for a weekend break but would want to be further away from the noise and bins.
Rowena from Waltham Chase (03 April 2017)

Been to west bay for the last 5years and have had lovely accommodation this year however the caravan a seahorse was an old van and tatty round the edges one of the radiators was very stained and when the heating was on the van was smelly, we did speak to reception and they cleaned the rad and sprayed around . I will next time ensure we go for accommodation that is not pet friendly
Jacky from Aldershot (31 March 2017)

Had a brilliant time, not much on the site this time of year, which gets you off your backside to seek the many activities and things to do in the local area. Anybody that moans, don't go on a break in march.
Victor from Tiverton Devon (27 March 2017)

Good area for walking. Local pubs friendly. Caravan was warm and comfortable.
Diana from Wokingham (24 March 2017)

Great place to stay, the entertainments team were great with the kids, giving 100%.the caravans were spotless and the site good for a young family. The soft play area was disappointing, it needs updating and was sad to see the older kids throwing the soft play. All over the room when unattended by their parents at night. The swimming pool was great for our kids age 8 and 2. The cafe was nice, we enjoyed a hot drink and noticed a good menu available for kids but we didn't eat there ourselves. We had a weekend stay and would definitely return in the summer to make the most of the area
Louise from Waterlooville (20 March 2017)

Lovely stay. Caravan was very clean. The entertainment staff were fab and made our stay even more enjoyable. We will be booking again.
Hannah from Eastbourne (20 March 2017)

Love going down south in march, our holiday was absolutely lovely.
Nicholas from Leicester (17 March 2017)

Lovely place right on the harbour, west bay is very dog friendly, harbour bar decking great for our dogs.
Colin from Leicester (10 October 2016)

We stayed at west bayfor a short break, mon to fri, in early october and had a wonderful time. The park is in an ideal location, 2 minutes easy walk to west bay harbour and beaches. The caravan was clean and comfortable and excellent value. Will definitely return.
Elaine (07 October 2016)

Lovely location, the accommodation was clean and well maintained, as it was late in the season the central heating was very wel come at night. Our boxer really loved the beeches to run around on and it was all close at hand
David from Oxford (07 October 2016)

Our caravan was excellent for the money. West bay is a beautiful place to stay. The only downside for us was that there was no view from the caravan.
Katherine from Leicester (01 October 2016)

Very nice site, in beautiful surroundings. Having the beach within a 5 minute walk an added bonus. Will definitely be back again soon!
Gareth from Wolverhamptoy (01 October 2016)

I've been taking holidays in caravans for nearly 40 years and your no. 42 west bay was by far the worst we have stayed in. It was old and tired and very uncomfortable. The shower was broken, the oven didn't work properly and even the kettle didn't work properly. There was a dog in the next door caravan barking all day and night. It kept us awake all night and was left alone in the caravan to bark all day. Your caravan and the situation at the west bay park was so bad we packed up and came home on the wednesday morning. Your caravan was a disgrace and the park was rubbish.
Keith from Claygate (24 September 2016)

Everything was to our liking except no facilities for dogs, i.e. Exercise area even though dogs are accepted at the site and charged £30 per dog. we also took out the insurance which covered any damage so we were confused as to why we had to pay so much per dog.
Susan from Fareham (23 September 2016)

Lovely location, very friendly staff and lots of facilities to entertain children. Caravan was very well kept, spacious and modern. The grounds were great allowed for cars to be parked right next to the caravan.
Emily from Farnham (19 September 2016)

Excellent holiday would love to come back in the future ..site clean caravan clean and tidy
Customer 110 (17 September 2016)

Excellent value for money
John from Stafford (12 September 2016)

We had a lovely holiday at west bay. The caravan was clean & comfortable with almost everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and dealt with our queries immediately. We didn't use all of the facilities, but the park has a lot to keep families entertained. We'll be back again in the future
Rebecca from Newport (10 September 2016)

Lovely time. Few things wrong. For example hoover was broken so couldn't clean up afterselves very well. Little things like not letting us know we couldn't park outside on a certain day until day before. Then changing it last minute. Pool being out of action for one day. Staff were lovely and did their best.
Steph (09 September 2016)

A really nice setting, the resteraunt was excellent, food well presented and lovely, we didn't use the pool or clubhouse so can't comment on those but we really enjoyed our stay.
Brinley from Cardiff. (09 September 2016)

Ideal for younger children as we had teenagers not enough for them to do
Raymond from Mansfield (03 September 2016)

Spent a week at the end of august in a shell caravan with children aged 12 and 17. It was clean, beds were made up when we arrived, and it was very well equipped. The only item missing was the dvd player, but we didn't complain as we hadn't taken any dvd's with us, but if the kids had been younger and we were planning on using it then I would have. West bay itself is a beautiful location. We had fantastic weather so made good use of the beach, which is within easy walking distance from the holiday park, but if the weather had not been so great, then apart from the onsite pool, there would have been nothing to do without driving out to bridport or surrounding area. The pool was busy all the time we were there, but a system was operated where you were allowed in for 1 hour only for fairness, which was enough, as the pool is not huge. some of the caravans were positioned only a few feet from the swimming pool building, giving only the view of a concrete wall. I would not have been happy if we had been allocated one of those. as it was, our view was just of other caravans. The site felt a little crammed. There are plenty of places to visit along the coast, and we had intended to do a coastal walk or 2, but in the end sat on the beach enjoying the weather. we ate onsite a couple of nights and the food was pretty good. Also an excellent fish and chip shop opposite the site which was always very busy and a couple of pubs around the harbour. having teenagers with us meant that the free wi fi in the main building was a huge bonus, and we spent some part of every evening over there. I like a game of bingo, but this was played very early , at 7.30pm, before the younger kids entertainment had even finished, and this was too early for us. All in all a great holiday, made even better by the weather.
Frances from Kent (03 September 2016)

Found the caravans very close together and cramped site were they had as many vans as possible ... indoor children's play area needed updating facilities were really poor.. called a soft play area.. I wouldn't call it that .. non of our beds had mattress protectors wasn't keen on that at all.. reported to staff who said there should have been ones provided non of the 3 bedrooms had any provided..
Phillippa from Derby (03 September 2016)

Lovely part of the world, whole jurassic coast well worth a visit! kids enjoyed but have to go other parts of dorset to keep them interested.
Sophie (03 September 2016)

West bay. What a lovely place. Not much to do here, but kept the young kids occupied. Musts are crabbing, fresh fish and chips, climb the cliff, swimming and definitely take a day trip to the seaside centre at weymouth.
Dean from Milton Keynes (03 September 2016)

The facilities I got for the value of money I paid was disgusting the caravan was dirty and old and the playroom for the children in the club house was dirty and smelly. The harbour and surrounding areas was the only good thing about the holiday.
Angela (02 September 2016)

Excellent location, friendly staff and ok accommodation. Caravan could have been much cleaner!
James from Essex (02 September 2016)

We took our 3 grandchildren for a long weekend break, they absolutely loved it, the kids club was great for them and they wished they could've stayed longer. For the size of the camp I thought that the swimming pool was a bit small and changing facilities a bit basic. The amount of overflowing bins was a concern especially with the seagulls ripping the bin bags open. . that is all I can criticise really, other than that we had a fantastic time, the accommodation was very good and clean. We went to the club on one of the nights, the food was a little basic but nice, once again the kids loved it. Overall it was a lovely break, the surrounding towns, villages and scenery are beautiful, the beach was also great.
Mike from Warrington (22 August 2016)

Had a good holiday, the kids play area needs updating. kids loved the indoor pool.
Emma from Kingston (22 August 2016)

Great location, close to harbour and beach.
Gareth from Dudley (15 August 2016)

Lovely location. . accommodation let us down. Bathroom smelt dirty. Oven didn't work. Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Not even a hook on the back of the door. Bedrooms incredibly small.
Stephanie from Accommodation Let Us Down. Bathroom Smelt Dirty. O (13 August 2016)

When we arrived at the van it was really clean the beds was made and everything u need is there eg.iron clean plates , clean cutlery, television dvd player etc.the park is situated right by the harbour 2 min walk! and it was really beautiful. The beach with the jurassic cliffs was right there too .it was beautiful we really enjoyed our stay with weymouth and lyme regis not too far away.would recommend the park and ride if going to lyme regis as the roads near the centre are not very wide .
Kieran (13 August 2016)

The facilities on the site doesn't represent the money you pay, luckily it is near some very good eating places, beaches etc. The staff are over worked and the holiday camp needs more of them.
Matt (08 August 2016)

Great place for a break and really enjoyed. Would go again
Chris (08 August 2016)

Caravan holiday exceeded my expectations with regards to facilities in the caravan. Shower large, seperate toilet, rooms either end of the lounge. Very sensible and well thought out. The double bed was a little lumpy though, thankfully it was warm so slept on the duvet for added softness. The holiday site was exactly as expected, nice pool, shop, easy access to beach. Little niggle in that our caravan did not have hot water the evening we arrived, we reported it in the morning a repairman came out pretty much straight away, but was not able to fix, the problem was reported further and it was rectified by our return from the beach that day.
Carl from Fareham (08 August 2016)

We had a fantastic time at west bay, the caravan was spotless, the staff were friendly and polite ,the entertainment was great for the children, and the location was lovely, would definitely come back.
Tracey from Oxford (06 August 2016)

Location is perfect. clubhouse is very small if you want to see the entertainment be there early to get a table. Swimming pool is small best time to go is late afternoon/evening.
Mary (06 August 2016)

The seagulls were a pain all night, every night.
Karen from Watford (06 August 2016)

The site is extremely cramped and whilst there are a lot of units the facilities are small. each night we would get to the entertainment only to have to stand for an hour or so waiting for a table to come free. the park and recreation areas are small. . the size of the swimming pool is deceptive on photographs and is extremely small for a site of this size especially as it open to the public. . the location is however beautiful and you are close to all the local attractions.
Simon from Kingswinford (06 August 2016)

A nice park in a great location. Able to walk to places nearby like the harbor, beach, cliffs.
Denise from Basildon (05 August 2016)

Have stayed here before. great location. staff helpful. Don't eat in restaurant.
Elizabeth from London (05 August 2016)

Nice park.
Cathy from Herts (01 August 2016)

Lovely place to stay, we all had a great time. The only thing I would say is it would be nice to have another restaurant with a different menu on site. We went into bridport town to eat a few times. . the holiday reps on site were fantastic, we enjoyed all the entertainment from my 5 year old up to his nanny. They do a brilliant job. . the swimming pool was closed on the last day of our stay which was a nuisance but we went off to play in the park and arcades instead. . overall we would definitely stay at westbay again!
Emma from Mk (01 August 2016)

Had a lovely holiday at west bay the caravan was clean site was clean and my son always found something to do, playing football mainly. The harbour and little town was lovely we ended up buying fishing rods and catching lots of fish. I would definitely stay here again.
Michelle from Telford (30 July 2016)

West bay had everything you need but I felt the kids indoor play area could be much improved & the kids clubs could have been run a little more enthusiastically! . caravans felt close together. Long waits to be served at the bars. Very speedy maintainence service and lovely location.
Melanie from Okehampton (30 July 2016)

Fantastic holiday!the location is just perfect and the holiday park is great although as there is so much to do around west bay we hardly used the facilities on site apart from the kids park
Phillip from Worcester (29 July 2016)

Not a lot on camp site to do.
Lorraine (25 July 2016)

Incredibly expensive caravan, which was way below standards. Had to be moved from our first one as it smelt so bad. . but staff were really accommodating and agreed with us. . location was amazing.
Kathleen from Loughborough (23 July 2016)

Had a great holiday, the caravan was of a high standard, the park itself clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere.the resort itself was a typical english seaside resort with safe bathing and good clean beaches.the only gripe was the food outlets in the resort.the queues were long and the food not that great.the restaurant in the caravan park was good, but long waits for food to be served.
Peter from Herne Bay Kent (22 July 2016)

Love west bay
Greg from Stevenage (22 July 2016)

Fabulous spot by the harbour and beach. caravan lovely provided a perfect place for relaxing.
Demelza from Droitwich (22 July 2016)

Great setting, entertainers try so hard, brought in evening entertainment not great, lovely pool, well equipt park for kiddies, you do have to drive to go anywhere interesting but loads in neighbouring towns. Caravan was clean, upkeep wasn't fantastic but was pretty decent had everything we needed for a lovely week away.
Emma from Birmingham (22 July 2016)

Great caravan, great location, a pity you can't control the weather.
Aurona from Bristol (16 July 2016)

The caravan is a bit dated and there was a birds poo on the furniture. Windows really dirty. But other than that everything was great. Wonderful location. Good price. Would recommend
Marius from Orsett (11 July 2016)

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day break. Caravan was in clean and good condition. Excellent location. Children loved playground and all loved the swimming pool. Entertainers worked hard and children enjoyed but wasn't always clear of age aimed at even though brochure specified age. Brochure was very useful. Would recommend.
Nicola from Bristol (08 July 2016)

Good
