The location was great for exploring the lake district. We went to Lake Windermere which is just over an hour away. The caravan is home from home and the park was idyllic -our caravan was beside the pond and we loved to feed the swans, ducks and geese each day. MRS C from Lochwinnoch
The caravan was superb, in 'as new' condition and had everything we needed. The kids loved feeding the ducks, swans and geese, and they also loved their daily trips to the beach. It is a quiet and out of the way location, which is just what we wanted - thank you! Mrs M from Manchester
A lovely park, the wildlife on the lake was a joy to watch and the beach close by was a bonus - a wonderful holiday! Mrs H from Saltburn-By-The-Sea
Lovely holiday for walking the dog. Lots of wildlife. Very quiet and peaceful. Mr C from Liverpool
We had a wonderful seaview with our caravan which definitely enhanced our enjoyment of the holiday. Obviously most caravans at this site do not enjoy such views. We were just very lucky! Mrs G from Basingstoke

We loved the view over the tarn and watching the wildlife on it was a bonus. A big, empty and thus quiet beach a short walk away. A wonderful place to ease the soul and mind - we did not want to go home and will consider two weeks next year! Mr M from Livingston

Easy access to a beautiful beach where you can walk the dog, and a lovely, quiet area of Cumbria, but within driving disance to all the places you want to visit during your stay. I would reccomend Tarnside to everyone, we stayed March and have already booked to go back twice more this year! Mrs B from Darlington
The accommodation was clean and lovely and the surrounding area and beach with the dog was amazing! Mrs B from Darlington
The site is exactly as described. The location is excellent if you're looking for a nice quiet break. Walks along the beach thoroughly recommended. Beach was very stony but plenty flat sand for the dog lovers, when the tide was out from about 10am till about 3pm. Also a railway station right on the site. Mr M from Wishaw
The park is exactly as described, and the location is excellent if you're looking for a nice quiet break. Walks along the beach are thoroughly recommended, the beach was very stoney, but plenty of flat sand for the dog lovers, when the tide was out from about 10am till about 3pm. Mr M from Wishaw
On arrival the staff were helpful and the site looked impressive and well kept. The vans were set out in a manner to make the most of the sea views and the views over the fishing lake. The access to the pebble/sandy beach was easily accessed from a small downhill cutting that led across the railway line by a level crossing.(although probably not suited for wheel chairs etc) We were extremely pleased with our accommodation which included patio doors onto a veranda with sea views. Mr P from Manchester
We had a lovely holiday away from it all, just allowing the kids to play. The caravans were excellent! Miss T from Edinburgh
