Our caravan was placed in an ideal location, we had a view of the sea on one side and a view of the mountain on the other - it was stunning. It was super - the scenery was spectacular, the caravan site was good, caravan was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Silecroft as an excellent place to relax and unwind away from it all. The park is situated very near to the beach, which you can walk down for miles (pebbles not sand). There is good road access to the rest of the Lake District and there are reasonable food shopping facilities in Millom, however, there are no shops in the village itself, so we would recommend bringing the things you will need. Overall the area is very scenic and peaceful and the caravan we stayed in was of an excellent standard with modern furnishings and with everything you needed for a lovely holiday.
