This really is an excellent campsite. It is very clean and well kept and small enough that the staff there actually seem to care about your holiday. It doesnt have all the facilities of the bigger sites but what it has are well presented and more than adequate for the average family, I would suggest. This is a brilliant base for those with young families. Smaller and more friendly than a Haven as they cater for kids up to about 10/11 years old so no big groups of teenagers (apart from those moping about with younger brothers/sisters!). The entertainment is good and the food is both reasonably priced and delicious. This holiday was just brilliant! The facilities for children are absolutely fantastic, my 2 girls aged 3 and 2 loved every minute! The park is clean, the staff are very friendly, and the entertainment was so good that we had planned to go out maybe 2 or 3 times but we ended up at the parks club every night! The entertainers would provide games and colouring activities from 6pm, followed by a visit from Flounder and Sebastian, then onto the childrens disco, children could also join in with bingo by purchasing special childrens tickets. The adult entertainment started at 9pm with fun quizzes and games and sometimes a caberet. The area itself is beautiful, and Sandymouth beach was the best we have ever visited - we went every day! It is owned by the National Trust and does cost £3.50 to park, but it is money well spent - we did walk one day and the walk down was lovely, but the walk up pushing a buggy was quite challenging, even though we are quite fit as it is very steep. We hope to visit Sandymouth again and would really recommend it to anyone, in particular to families with children. Mrs W from Barnsley
