Brilliant location, we stayed for 7 nights, everything you needed for self catering! hot tub was the perfect extra touch! plenty of outside decking space for our dog, lovely views and a quiet location, perfect location to several tourist spots, ideal break for us and exactly what we was looking for peace and quiet and plenty of stunning mountain areas to exercise the k9 baby! we proberly wouldn’t return as we always make a point of never going back to the same place twice as we always like to explore new locations when holidaying, how ever I rate the park and lodge a fine and worthy 10 out of 10 and have already reccomnded to my sister in law,
Michael from Cornwall (07 September 2018)

We had an amazing 4 nights in fox lodge no. 27! hot tub fairly private compare to most on site! not really alot to do outside of camp so 5 days was enough for us, took a drive to wrexham which was nice. Bala lake railway was a fab experience too.
Becky from Cwmbran (07 September 2018)

Fantastic place if you just want to chill, lodge absolutely perfect! will be returning.
Royston from Bridgnorth Shropshire (07 September 2018)

Excellent location and accommodation. Will definitely be back
Tom from Holywell (03 September 2018)

Beautiful, well equipped lodge
Therisa from Manchester (31 August 2018)

Excellent apart from being asked to go away for half an hour on check in at 1500 which was the check in time.
Helen from Shrewsbury (31 August 2018)

Nice park, bit of a drive to the places we wanted to go everyday but this was represented in the cost, boy loved that there was table tennis and pool, would have liked a better dogwalk but at least there was somewhere to take the dog, very peaceful and lodge very clean
Sean from Hailsham (31 August 2018)

Comfortable lodge with everything we needed including a hot tub . site would benefit from a small shop for basic provisions and maybe drinks and sweets . the wi fi disappointing bug prob due to the location did not bother us as much as the younger members of our party
Lesley from Runcorn (31 August 2018)

Beautiful lodge, beautiful surroundings great hot tub. Only downfall was no shop onsite. We found out on our last night if you are relying on sat-nav to set it once you're in the town. We endured a 3 hour white knuckle drive through the mountains to go to the supermarket!! apart from that we really enjoyed our break and will definitely be returning.
Leeanne from Liverpool (31 August 2018)

What an amazing house blown away by our whole holiday, including the rich welsh history, beautiful surrounding valley's. We will be back.
John from Warwick (27 August 2018)

Lovely relaxing and quiet which is what we need to get away from the noise of everyday life.
Philip (20 August 2018)

Very quiet site with well equipped lodges
Jonathan from West Sussex (20 August 2018)

Bala is lovely part of the uk loads of walks and hill top to discover and the mountain ranges, this lodge sight is a good setting, our lodge hot tub light were not working is the only down side to our stay
Ben (20 August 2018)

Lovely place, very clean.really enjoyed having the hot tub.made use of the game room during a rainy day.closest tesco is a bit far.
Elizabeth from Aylesbury (17 August 2018)

Lovely quite place for us to explore north wales. Enjoyed our stay and the hot tub was amazing. Very happy and would definitely recommend.
Gavin (17 August 2018)

Very peaceful site in a beautiful location. half an hour walk into bala for food, drink and shops. good as a base for touring around the area. great for families. . could do with a shop for some basics (the camp site part way into town had a small selection). ordering online and booking a delivery by tesco worked well for us.
Claire from Middlesbrough (17 August 2018)

Very isolated. No facillities on site and not particularly safe route to walk to bala (nearest town) which is very bleak although has a super market. We took our dogs hoping for great walks but was disappointed. we travelled daily (an hour plus each way) to find things to do.
Lina (17 August 2018)

Lovely lodge, modern, tidy, comfortable and we'll equiped. Nice park for the kids to use which certainly helped take their mines off the poor wifi. Nice little woodland dog walk. Bala itself around 1.5 miles away with take aways, pubs, co op spa. Bala lake just down the hill and if the weather is nice it's a great day out. site could do with maybe a small shop and the ben area could do with lighting. Quiet and peaceful, value for money
Daniel from Kent (10 August 2018)

We came here about 4 years ago and we were looking forward to coming here again. it didn't disappoint. the lodge was modern, clean and very spacious. the location was perfect for us as our son is 11 and we could see him playing in the adventure playground from our lodge (no.62). the site is in a really great location. down the hill takes you into bala and what a lovely town it is. it has pretty much everything that you will need. the boat hire on the lake is very good value for money. £14 an hour for a single kayak. one hour is long enough but be prepared for a soggy bottom so take a change of clothes. don't expect there to be loads to do on site and this place is really for relaxing and what a place to relax. also the internet is not worth paying the £10 for the week. you have to sign on to the router with the best signal and for some unknown reason you get kicked off and can't seem to be able to access any of the other routers. in the end they did re-boot the system but the signal did still come and go. All in all we had a fantastic and memorable stay. we would definitely recommend it to everyone and will definitely be coming back, maybe even next year. still loads to see and do yet.
Michelle from Nuneaton, Warwickshire (10 August 2018)

Absolutely beautiful lodges, very well equipped. A added extra of a nice welcome pack thrown in. Stunning scenery, with a back drop of mountains. Lovely play area and games room. The dog enjoyed his walks by the ponds. Highly recommended.
Dawn from Ceredigion (10 August 2018)

Out standing lodge 36 , staff very friendly and helpful, 20 min walk in to bala. Would I go back yes .
Christopher from Port Talbot (10 August 2018)

We had a fantastic time in the cabin we booked at pen-y-garth. we were very lucky to have a cabin on the front line as this meant we had a great view and were not too overlooked.
Lynne from Lancashire (06 August 2018)

Beautiful site in an amazing location. The lodge was perfectly maintained and we had a great week
Nikki from Preston (06 August 2018)

Excellent site, peaceful, lovely accommodation and hot tubs are great. would highly recommend.
Diane from Barrow-In-Furness (03 August 2018)

Lovely, clean and very well equipped lodge in a beautiful well kept park. Lovely relaxing holiday in a very beautiful and peaceful location.
Kate (03 August 2018)

Twin bedrooms were a tight squeeze and mattress was uncomfortable, overall though nice lodge set up. Enjoyed the stay.
Stephanie (30 July 2018)

Lovely weekend break, hot tub so relaxing after long days out visiting the area , portmeirion and the zip wire at bethesda. Lodge was immaculate , I didn’t want to leave !
Alison from Mid Glamorgan (30 July 2018)

The lodge and park were beautiful, however, the onsite laundrette service was unavailable due to all machines out of order. The park could benefit from a small shop that sells necessities and perhaps an onsite family pub / cafe.
Louise from Runcorn (30 July 2018)

The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and if you're after a relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of the country then this is for you! the lodge was really nice, it's missing a few essential things like an iron (there was an ironing board), a lamp in the lounge (for cosy evenings in) and a hairdryer (i found it strange that there wasn't one), but overall it was a lovely place to stay. There isn't much on site although I was aware of that before I went so that isn't an issue. The caretaker maintains the site beautifully and the grounds are immaculate. The town of balla is very quaint with a few lovely gift shops, an amazing ice cream shop which is all made in-store and a lovely pub which has a good menu, there were other pubs but I didn't go in them. We really had a great holiday and i'll be going back in the future.
Donna from Codsall (27 July 2018)

Very relaxing break just what we needed
Neil (27 July 2018)

We spent a fabulous 5 days at lodge 70 in pen y garth. Brilliant location, gorgeous lodge and brilliantly helpful staff. My eldest niece with me has a chlorine allergy and sian was amazing organising the hot tub without chlorine for us. My only complaint is that we found it difficult to get the hot tub cover on and off but this could be because it was me and two nieces aged 17 and 13 so not the strongest!! will definitely be coming back!! thank you all
Joanne from Port Talbot (27 July 2018)

Great location as base for visiting north wales . . lodge was lovely and having a hot tub was a bonus. Would definitely go there again and stay longer .
Deborah from Kidderminster (27 July 2018)

A lovely place, very clean and tidy. . my only complaint was I had specifically chosen pet free and there had been let's in our lodge before.
Lisa (27 July 2018)

It’s in the middle of nowhere, the nearest super market like tesco is about 30 miles away, no where to walk to, not much to do but relax
Anthony from Stockport (23 July 2018)

Overall, the site was perfect although let down by the weather on some days! despite there being no shop for essentials, this was not a problem as bala village was only five minutes' drive.
Steve from Dorset (23 July 2018)

Spent a relaxing two days here and de-stressed from the working week. The staff were very welcoming but unobtrusive and the accommodation was comfortable. It was our first time but not our last. Recommended.
Stephen from Cheshire (22 July 2018)

Had a brilliant week! just a few minor faults which did not adversely affect our stay. the water pressure can be variable sometimes a drip other times a torrent when you turned on the tap. wifi was also variable but it does warn you in the welcome pack. in our lodge there was a television in the main bedroom which had its aerial cable cut so there was never going to be any signal. the fan in the main bathroom didn't work as the string to it wasn't there & the back of the lodge backed on to a view of an old static caravan which you could see when you were were in the back bedroom & in the hot tub luckily it wasn't in use! when in the hot tub there were a few flies coming from the tree next to it which also blocked the view & needed cutting back. the lodge interior walls had a few scuffs & marks but this is too be expected. none of these affected the holiday & I would love to go back if it wasn't so expensive in the school holidays.
Sarah from Lincoln (20 July 2018)

Pen y garth has very helpful staff from the start, the lodges are excellent on a well kept site with picturesque views and so peaceful, I have been here for the last five years feel very relaxed and rejuvenated would recommend to anyone who wants to unwind.
Lynne from Stoke On Trent (20 July 2018)

Wales is so beautiful we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the lakes & waterfalls. You are never far away from a breathtaking view, the scenery is awesome. Downside would be the lack of reasonably priced supermarkets. Spa & co-op are so expensive, we had to drive out quite far to find a morrison’s or asda.
Dilip from Canterbury (20 July 2018)

Lovely break in a lovely location in a top notch lodge with everything needed, definitely be getting a hot tub next time
Alisdair (13 July 2018)

Loved it very relaxing. Lodge was clean spacious and homely, hot tub a dream
Helen from Prestatyn (13 July 2018)

Brilliant accommodation wonderful surroundings and breathtaking views ,staff very friendly and helpful and wonderful to get in the hot tub at the end of the day all in all 10 out of 10
Shaun from Rushden ,Northamptonshire (13 July 2018)

Would definitely return had a lovely break in a gorgeous lodge
Claire from Greater Manchester (13 July 2018)

Lovely place, really quiet and beautiful views. Third time here, only thing that lets it down is the 11pm curfew on the hot tub.
Sam from Staffordshire (09 July 2018)

Very quiet and peaceful location. Lodge was very clean and comfortable. Very pleasant hot tub on a deck with nice table and chairs
Janet from Louth, Lincolnshire (06 July 2018)

Great holiday park. Beautiful lodges and surroundings with very helpful and friendly staff. Only downside for us was that we had to tie the decking gates shut to confine the toddler. It could do with a small shop of some description too but this doesn’t detract from the appeal.
Paul from Leeds (02 July 2018)

Lovely location and great accommodation. we stayed in the foxglove and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Perfect place to use as a base for travelling around. . tidy and clean inside and out. Very well equipped. . good value for money, but we did go outside the school holidays.
Richard from Cardiff (29 June 2018)

The lodge was very nice. The hot tub was fantastic. The site itself is very clean and some beautiful views. The only down side is no shop or anywhere to drink or eat close by. Other than that we had a great time and we even went on the small train from the station down the hill. We would go again.
Customer 48 from Staffordshire (29 June 2018)

Just am amazing stay and wonderful lodge. We had wasps trying to nest on the eaves near the hot tub. Reception were great they attended immediately and called out pest control. We went out for the day and on our return it had been dealt with and we were wasp free. Excellent service.
David from Doncaster (29 June 2018)

There is always room for improvement - whatever - but all in all spot on!
John from Bury St Edmunds (29 June 2018)

Really helpful and friendly staff. The lodge we stayed in was lovely with good views and the hot tub was great. There’s lots to do in the area and next time we’ll be bringing our bikes. We will definitely be coming back and have already recommended the site to our family and friends.
Richard from Norwich (29 June 2018)

Loved it here, would highly recommend
Kaye from Burnley (25 June 2018)

I love this place it is so peaceful our lodge was lovely and very clean, they have built a new park for kids to play on and there are some nice pubs and shops in the town only a few minutes drive away. We can’t wait to go again.
Tracey from Widnes (22 June 2018)

Fantastic and friendly place that I will definitely be visiting again! . . I needed a relaxing few days away from everything and that’s exactly what I got. . . I would definitely recommend to others.
Carol from Manchester (22 June 2018)

A great escape had at this wonderful lodge, booked for peace and quiet, and that’s exactly what we go. Will definitely return.
Christopher (18 June 2018)

This site is in a beautiful setting in wales. Lake bala which is close by is great for those interested in water sports, the little railway is a lovely novel journey. The scenery is amazing and there is lots of places to walk. We really enjoyed a drive to lake vyrnwy we saw some amazing views on the drive to it, but the visitors center is a rspb site and the bird hides, the dam, the picnic sites, the views were all so great. We tried to go see the waterfall at rhiwargor but arrived to late to park and walk up we did however get to see it from a distance in the car it looked spectacular. The national white water center offers some great water activities and experiences we just enjoyed walking round the place and watching everyone else go down. It is not to far into the town which although small and very local has a reasonable selection of shops and food. The park has a lovely playground for children. The hot tubs are a great way to relax after a long day. We would gladly visit this area of wales again but we will not be staying at this site again
Samantha from Pontefract (18 June 2018)

Fantastic park and staff. Probably the best we've ever been to. Lodge so clean and comfy. Lovely hot tub and verandah. So much to do in the area too. Can't wait to go again next year.
Garry from Hatfield Hertfordshire (18 June 2018)

The lodge was excellent, there were six of us staying yet was big enough for us all to have our own space. The hot-tub could have been bigger although wouldn't complain. This is the second time we have stayed and most likely will not be the last!
Robert (15 June 2018)

Very peaceful & relaxing great for recharging batteries
Rachel (15 June 2018)

Great location.lovely walks .great for relaxing and unwinding .2nd time staying here.
Debby from North Wales (15 June 2018)

Great place- quite close to bala town centre. Very nice and comfortable lodge and hot tub in great surroundings. Highly recommend.
Philip from St.Helens (15 June 2018)

Lovely lodge few cleaning issues also booked for 6 adults got bunk beds . didn’t let it spoil are stay. Lovely position lovely clean site . great lodge to celebrate a special birthday. Would deffo book again
Jacqueline (11 June 2018)

Great relaxing stay! hot tub was awesome, especially after climbing snowdon!
Adam from Exeter (11 June 2018)

The location was amazing and our lodge worked really well for us. The hot tub at the rear overlooking the woodlands and wildlife. . the on-site facilities could be better but we had our own games and outdoor play equipment as we already were aware that there was not much to do on site. . some things needed repairing but the staff were quick to deal with any issues. . no worries-fi for the entire week as it was working. Didn’t get a refund as it was offered complementary for the broken shower and door etc. A little disappointed but we had made enough plans for it not to be a major problem. . can’t get a taxi from the town or any takeaway delivered so bear that in mind. . had a fantastic week due to location and luckily very good weather.
Joanne from Maidstone (11 June 2018)

Lovely holiday in beautiful location
Karen from Manchester (08 June 2018)

Perfect lodge and setting. the only down side was there were no instructions for the oven and it wouldn't light
Ian from Stoughton (08 June 2018)

Staff were lovely and welcoming, lodge was beautiful and a perfect enclosed park for little ones right in view of the lodge.
Rhi from Fife (08 June 2018)

Would recommend we had a lovely long weekend just one thing spoiled it we thought there may have been a small supply shop just for the essentials ie: butter/milk etc, overall I would definitely recommend!
Alyson from Leigh (04 June 2018)

A***** holiday a wonderful place to go, will be back again and recommended to all family and friends
Leanne from Oldham (04 June 2018)

Lovely site and lodge. A shop selling basics would be a bonus.

Sarah from Newport (01 June 2018)

Weather always makes for a good holiday bt the surroundings and accommodation. Certainly make it perfect. Thank you
Janet from Stansted Essex (01 June 2018)

Perfect location for exploring the area & also if you want to relax and get away from it all for a few days. Our accommodation was next to the childrens play area, but no noise whatsoever. Hot tub was brilliant, see you again next I want to de-stress.
Steven from Stoke On Trent (01 June 2018)

The place was lovely and the accommodation was first class even when you had a dog staying with you. These are just little things that you could include. The odd dog poo bin. And the odd light whilst walking the dog night time or even a torch so you can picķ up their mess. Instruction on a4 laminate sheets on how to use certain equipment within the lodge. Bin outside lodge to place the recycle bag in (recycling - good idea).
Joanne from Maesteg (01 June 2018)

Overall brilliant facility. . hot tub could be slightly more private. . . some fixings around the facility were loose ( hand rail in bathroom/coat hanger). . facility really clean
Danielle (28 May 2018)

We had a lovely relaxi g time at the park. The lodge was beautiful.
Louise from Wrexham (28 May 2018)

Beautiful place
Sharon from Wirral (28 May 2018)

Great lodges in a fantastic setting just missing a small shop for essentials would recommend it to freinds .
Anthony from Stalbridge (25 May 2018)

Lovely holiday. Not a great deal to do in the immediate area but lots to do and plenty of places to explore if your willing to travel a hour or two!
Mike from South Wales (25 May 2018)

Excellent little site with a few things to do such as games room. Really need to drive to the local town though. Lovely lake nearby and plenty of water sports.
Gavin (25 May 2018)

Great site, lodge was clean and tidy tho a little noisy at night at the weekends with groups. biggest complaint was the rubbish mattress in the main bedroom but aside from that it is a lovely place with comfortable lodges
Chris (21 May 2018)

A perfect relaxing weekend, would have been nice to have a bar or even a shop on site.
Stuart from Telford (21 May 2018)

Very clean site,
Pam from Colchester (21 May 2018)

Lovely place to stay, they provided all the little bits you can forget when staying at a site, so you don’t need to take your own washing up liquid! . . I would have liked to have been a bit further from neighbours, or angled away from them, for privacy when using hot tubs but that’s my only criticism.
Amy (21 May 2018)

Excellent! would definitely recommend. Lovely clean well equipped lodges with beautiful scenery.
Katherine from Salford (21 May 2018)

Quiet and relaxing break, ok if you want to get away from it all, but not much to do on site except relax in the hot tub which were very good. Not too far from coast and other places of interest .
Mark (18 May 2018)

Lovely stay but just had a problem getting a taxi to go for a meal ended up staying in and went hungry did a shop the next day so we were fine for the rest off the week
Julie-Anne from Liverpool (18 May 2018)

If you like peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay. Fabulous views of the clewydian range mountains, might have the wrong mountains but stunning evenso.
Angela from Crewe (14 May 2018)

It was a lovely lodge and fantastic surroundings however I booked a travel cot for my son which was provided with no mattress. I was told to use a duvet as the mattress!! this can be very dangerous for young children!! I did say on check out that had this information been provided beforehand then I would of sorted a travelcot myself!! other than this everything else was fab.
Debbie from Derbyshire (14 May 2018)

We had a great time
Gareth (14 May 2018)

Stayed in lodge 68 which seemed to have a bit more privacy than the other lodges. Nice open plan lounge. Bathroom adequate.
Nutan (14 May 2018)

Excellent location
Sharon from Sheffield (14 May 2018)

Amazing place and lodge.. everything you need. Hot tub was lovely.
Sarah from Northwich (11 May 2018)

Three of us on a short break and had a brilliant time. our lodge was clean, well equipped and we would book to visit again in the future. hot tub really good.
Rachel (04 May 2018)

Whilst the location was great and the access to bala town was easily walkable, unfortunately the park and accommodation did not live up to our expectations. . a terrible mattress that felt like sleeping on a half blown up airbed resulting in poor sleep for the duration of or 3 night stay resulted in me sleeping in the single bed in the spare room on the final night. . we attempted to complain about the mattress after the second night but the office was not open on the sunday and no staff were to be seen. . the morning of our departure 2 hours before we had to check out the water to our caravan was turned off by the maintenance man as I was just starting to have a shower. This was so he could start off jobs that I would expect are best left until after check out. After a 3rd poor night sleep in a row this was unacceptable. I dare say with more sleep I would have been more understandable. . the caravan itself also was a little tired with some broken fixings like the shower head holder and dripping taps. Some annoyances that again I would ordinarily not be that bothered about. . we did complain as we checked out but unfortunately it was a little late by that point and little was offered to address the matter. . it's a real shame I probably would have gone back their because of the location and how amazing we found snowdonia in general.
Steven from High Wycombe (30 April 2018)

Lodge fabulous, staff great, limited facilities, location nice but need to travel to see local attractions

We absolutely loved it here. The lodge was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.
Deborah from Manchester (16 April 2018)

Could do with on site shop . jacuzzi was not particularly private as it was right by the road . it was quite expensive for a long weekend . the location was perfect however and we really enjoyed our stay
Hannah (16 April 2018)

Lodge needs some tlc. Equipment missing. Paid for wifi could not get on. Needs more facilities on site.
Sarah from Warrington (16 April 2018)

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lodge was beautiful and much bigger than we expected. The only downfall was that from day 2 the hot tub was low in temp and wouldn't rise. I tried on 2 separate occasions to notify reception but both times it was locked with no one present. They did however have a number to phone buy signal wasn't good enough. I wouldn't let this deter me from going again though x

Lovely lodge, very clean and well maintained. hot tub was great! lovely touch of tea/coffee/milk sachets and dish washing materials provided that we weren't expecting.
Suzanne (13 April 2018)

We had a very enjoyable stay at pen-y-garth and would highly recommend this location. Be prepared to drive for visitor attractions and watch out for the sheep in the roads, but it’s well worth it.
Steven from Glasgow (13 April 2018)

A lot of building maintenance and deliveries during our stay disturbed the peace & tranquility of our stay.

We loved our stay in lodge number 32. The lodge was clean and modern and well equipped. The hot tub was lovely. It wasn’t hot enough to use until the night time on our arrival day but that wasn’t an issue for us. The site is very well maintained and we’d definitely go back - it’s just a short drive in to bala where there are shops and pubs (as these are not available on site) and there is a lovely children’s play area. My only feedback for the site owners is about parking. We had a 6-berth lodge and this means taking 2 cars. We only had one allocated bay and the road is too small to park on. There was plenty of room to put in an extra bay and the bigger lodges really need them. Otherwise the place is perfect for some r&r and a great location for snowdonia.
Natalie from West Yorks (09 April 2018)

Lovely lodge in lovely surroundings but could do with a shop and a pub on site

Fabulous lodge in a great location. We appreciate that accommodations need to be cleaned between customers but would have liked to enter our lodge a little earlier. The hot tub wasn't ready for our use for the first 24 hours but the children made the most of having a cold plunge pool!!
Kelly from Kent (06 April 2018)

Very nice lodge in a great location. Lovely site but better clothes drying facilities would be beneficial. Site was nicely spaced out with good safe playing area for young children. Hot tub was great and everything was well . maintained.
Clive from Coventry (06 April 2018)

The accomodatoon exceeded our expectations - it was spacious, clean and modern. The private hot tub was a great facility. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The landscaping of the holiday park was good too. The only area of improvemet could have been the games room.
Jan from Clare (06 April 2018)

Loved every miniute of it so peaceful and the hot tub was just fab thank you
Barbara from Liverpool (06 April 2018)

Had a broken window catch. Wasn’t ideal but got on with it

Mary from Daventry (02 April 2018)

Loved the location and the house inside was spacious and well appointed. the outside of the house could do with a little tlc as gutters were broken and leaking and the paintwork was untidy. however, it suited our family needs and the hot tub was an absolute bonus. we all enjoyed this. walking down into the town of bala was a nice stroll however, as there was no path we were constantly dodging the traffic. we enjoyed the scenery and especially the lake and steam train ride. the facilities inside the house met our every need and was extremely comfortable.
Gerald from Craven Arms (02 April 2018)

Hot tub was not powerful and unable to use on the friday we arrived as was cold
Ann-Marie from Liverpool (02 April 2018)

Beautiful lodge, stunning location. So much to do for a young family and all within an hour's drive. A proper escape.

Greeted very warmly on arrival, the area itself is very clean and welcoming. The lodge was immaculate and comfortable with all essential utilities available. Slightly disappointed the hot tub wasn’t heated on arrival but other than that there were no complaints. Will definitely return.
