Lodge fabulous, staff great, limited facilities, location nice but need to travel to see local attractions
Sue from Boston (20 April 2018)

Enjoyed our holiday, the lodg was great!
Lucy (20 April 2018)

We absolutely loved it here. The lodge was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.
Deborah from Manchester (16 April 2018)

Could do with on site shop . jacuzzi was not particularly private as it was right by the road . it was quite expensive for a long weekend . the location was perfect however and we really enjoyed our stay
Hannah (16 April 2018)

Lodge needs some tlc. Equipment missing. Paid for wifi could not get on. Needs more facilities on site.
Sarah from Warrington (16 April 2018)

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lodge was beautiful and much bigger than we expected. The only downfall was that from day 2 the hot tub was low in temp and wouldn't rise. I tried on 2 separate occasions to notify reception but both times it was locked with no one present. They did however have a number to phone buy signal wasn't good enough. I wouldn't let this deter me from going again though x
Rebecca from Wirral (16 April 2018)

Lovely lodge, very clean and well maintained. hot tub was great! lovely touch of tea/coffee/milk sachets and dish washing materials provided that we weren't expecting.
Suzanne (13 April 2018)

We had a very enjoyable stay at pen-y-garth and would highly recommend this location. Be prepared to drive for visitor attractions and watch out for the sheep in the roads, but it’s well worth it.
Steven from Glasgow (13 April 2018)

A lot of building maintenance and deliveries during our stay disturbed the peace & tranquility of our stay.
Steve from Cambridge (13 April 2018)

We loved our stay in lodge number 32. The lodge was clean and modern and well equipped. The hot tub was lovely. It wasn’t hot enough to use until the night time on our arrival day but that wasn’t an issue for us. The site is very well maintained and we’d definitely go back - it’s just a short drive in to bala where there are shops and pubs (as these are not available on site) and there is a lovely children’s play area. My only feedback for the site owners is about parking. We had a 6-berth lodge and this means taking 2 cars. We only had one allocated bay and the road is too small to park on. There was plenty of room to put in an extra bay and the bigger lodges really need them. Otherwise the place is perfect for some r&r and a great location for snowdonia.
Natalie from West Yorks (09 April 2018)

Lovely lodge in lovely surroundings but could do with a shop and a pub on site
Steven from Liverpool (09 April 2018)

Fabulous lodge in a great location. We appreciate that accommodations need to be cleaned between customers but would have liked to enter our lodge a little earlier. The hot tub wasn't ready for our use for the first 24 hours but the children made the most of having a cold plunge pool!!
Kelly from Kent (06 April 2018)

Very nice lodge in a great location. Lovely site but better clothes drying facilities would be beneficial. Site was nicely spaced out with good safe playing area for young children. Hot tub was great and everything was well . maintained.
Clive from Coventry (06 April 2018)

The accomodatoon exceeded our expectations - it was spacious, clean and modern. The private hot tub was a great facility. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The landscaping of the holiday park was good too. The only area of improvemet could have been the games room.
Jan from Clare (06 April 2018)

Loved every miniute of it so peaceful and the hot tub was just fab thank you
Barbara from Liverpool (06 April 2018)

Had a broken window catch. Wasn’t ideal but got on with it
Grant from Sheffield (06 April 2018)

Lovely site everything in the lodge was nice and clean. Hot tub was great
Mary from Daventry (02 April 2018)

Loved the location and the house inside was spacious and well appointed. the outside of the house could do with a little tlc as gutters were broken and leaking and the paintwork was untidy. however, it suited our family needs and the hot tub was an absolute bonus. we all enjoyed this. walking down into the town of bala was a nice stroll however, as there was no path we were constantly dodging the traffic. we enjoyed the scenery and especially the lake and steam train ride. the facilities inside the house met our every need and was extremely comfortable.
Gerald from Craven Arms (02 April 2018)

Hot tub was not powerful and unable to use on the friday we arrived as was cold
Ann-Marie from Liverpool (02 April 2018)

Beautiful lodge, stunning location. So much to do for a young family and all within an hour's drive. A proper escape.
Laura from Cottingham, Hull (02 April 2018)

Greeted very warmly on arrival, the area itself is very clean and welcoming. The lodge was immaculate and comfortable with all essential utilities available. Slightly disappointed the hot tub wasn’t heated on arrival but other than that there were no complaints. Will definitely return.
Daniel (30 March 2018)

Such a lovely place to spends a relaxing break in the hot tub was the cherry on the cake so to speak ;)
Claire (30 March 2018)

Manor house stay. Cannot recommend this place any higher. We all had a wonderful time.the house is beautuful and the kids didnt want to leave. Would definitely come again and again. Worth every penny!
Alex from Trefnant (30 March 2018)

Great accommodation, well equipped and clean. Had issues with the wifi, but was offered a refund for that, without asking. So great customer service.
James (26 March 2018)

Not quite sure why we pay for insurance when we book the holiday and then have to pay a £100 security deposit when we check in
Valmai from Mold (23 March 2018)

Lovely scenery . pub long walk away. Not enough shops . lodge was beautiful
Megan from Bromborough (23 March 2018)

A very relaxing holiday. The site is very quiet and dark at night and so ensured a great night's sleep. The lodge was modern, well designed and very well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful both in reception and around the site.
David from Verwood (23 March 2018)

Wonderful, fantastic lodge, amazing views
Anne from Clacton (23 March 2018)

The lodge was lovely very homely and of excellent standard . the area is very pretty with the lake almost on your door step . the lodge is also an idea base to travel to a lot of interesting places and mtb bike trails and parks.
Sharon from Sheffield (19 March 2018)

We loved the site and it’s location which is a besutidul drive through snowdonia and the mountains. The lodge and hot tub were great. The lodge was immaculately clean and modern and the hot tub lovely, well maintained and clean. The location is just a 15-20 walk to bala town and the lake, or a couple of minutes drive by car. The reception staff and site manager were very pleasant and helpful. Our only gripe was we had trouble starting our car on day two of our stay due to it being so cold (below freezing) and we asked the site maintenance man for a jump start but he declined and told us to phone the aa. We found him to be unhelpful and not a very pleasant person which put a bit of a damper on things, but other than that everything else was brilliant.
Graham from Bewdley (19 March 2018)

Fourth time we have visited and will be back next year, really friendly staff and lodge is always clean, tidy and well maintained.
David from Whitby (19 March 2018)

Had such a wonderful relaxing weekend in beautiful surroundings and the snow just made it more beautiful.
Theresa from Runcorn (19 March 2018)

This was our 3rd visit to the site and my favourite one by far. Beautiful views, peaceful and relaxing, great weather and the perfect setting for my boyfriend to propose to me. I will cherish the memories forever :)
Bianca from Liverpool (16 March 2018)

We had an enjoyable week. The accommodation suited our needs.
Sandra from Manchester (16 March 2018)

Absolutely amazing break! would come back and recommend in a heartbeat! only thing missing is a convenience store on site other than that wouldn't change a thing!
Tracey from Liverpool (16 March 2018)

The stay at pen-y-garth was nice and peaceful. The lodge was basic but o.k for a weekend. The cooker was really slow and no frying pan so take easy food. The is a chinese and indian takeaway in the town. Once we returned home we got a call to say we were not receiving our deposit back because the curtains and table had burn marks on them. We did not cook or use the iron. A few days after that they messaged to say the shower door was broken. It's fair to say I will not be returning to the lodges. If you go take pictures when you arrive and leave the lodge.
Ellie (12 March 2018)

Had a fabulous time away for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations. Accommodation was superb absolutely faultless. Would highly recommend
Angela from Bristol (12 March 2018)

As usual pen-y-garth was lovely. we will be back for our 4th visit asap!!
Katherine (09 March 2018)

Stayed in the foxglove platinum 6 (number 31) absolutely lovely lodge. Couldn't ask for better! beds were comfy, as were the pillows which is rare. Lodge was clean and warm, sometimes too warm, but can live with that :). kitchen was really well equipped. Settees were really comfy as well, having almost fell asleep quite a few times. Only downside would be the shower over the bath, the temperature kept dipping and getting hot, but not enough to warrant complaining to staff onsite. hot tub was an immaculate condition and loved the fact that it was round the back of the lodge which offered privacy. Also really liked the fact that the hot tub was cleaned every morning.
Lynne from Cardiff (09 March 2018)

Excellent all round. We will definitely be back. Nothing negative to say
Carol-Ann from Nottingham (09 March 2018)

Great break away. 2nd time i’ve been there and loved every minute there! great for dogs with plenty of long walks in the surrounding areas.
Steven (02 March 2018)

Nice clean caravan cladded to look like lodge, jacuzzis situated very close to neighbours both sides was expecting a more secluded lodge..park was clean, quiet and only main issue was jacuzzi had a heat problem which did get resolved after 1 half days..
Bow from Wigan (26 February 2018)

We had the best 3 night stay we climbed snowdon and came back to the lodge to full relaxation in the hot tub. The park is so so quiet and peaceful. And the lodge had everything we needed. We’ll be back!
Sascha from Walsall (26 February 2018)

Lovely setting g. Spotless clean and very relaxing
Gill from Liverpool (26 February 2018)

We love it here
Sophie from Glossop (26 February 2018)

The lodge was lovely and clean, situated in beautiful surroundings, the only little problems were the lodge was new so there were a few things missing and the fridge freezer wasn't switched on, the staff fixed this straight away but did cause the frozen food that I has brought to defrost so had to throw it away but as we were only staying for the weekend this wasn't a lot. . we took our dog with us and went for a walk around the complex where the designated dog walking area was but found this was full of slurry and sewage, which my dog ended up being covered in so he had to be bathed a few times before we could get rid of the smell.
Rewth from Cannock (26 February 2018)

Fantastic! great lodge and hot tub. Lovely area the site has lots of space for children to play, two playground and an activity room. We had a fab weekend for relaxing and spending time together and we didn’t leave the site at all. We can’t wait to go again.
Gemma from Stoke On Trent (26 February 2018)

Great relaxing holiday. Loved the hot tub. Nice quiet park which was what we wanted. Children were happy with activities in the area and riding their bikes . hot tub was well used by our boys to.
Michelle (23 February 2018)

First time staying in a lodge of this type, and was worried it may be cramped. Need not have worried, very spacious and every bit as comfortable as a rented cottage, even with two small children. The hot-tub was excellent too!
Carl from Cheshire (23 February 2018)

This was a great february half term break. The views are wonderful. The lodges were home from home, very comfortable, clean and warm. We have two children 2and 7 the parks were great for them. There is no shop on site but there is a local co-op 10 mins drive away. We found that everywhere was about an hours drive so the location of the site wasn’t ideal for us. Overall lovely place with lovely views and a refreshing break which is just what we needed!
Leanne from Manchester (23 February 2018)

Great location, tidy accommodation, hot tub addition almost essential.
Simon from Gloucester (19 February 2018)

Beautiful setting friendly staff and lodge was amazing and fully equipped. I have still rated this as a ten for facilities as the lodge had everything we needed there is nothing on site as in a shop or bar/restaurant but I was aware of this prior to booking. New children’s playground was great.
Dawn from St. Helens (19 February 2018)

We stayed for a three days weekend arriving on the friday. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is nice and roural with a village a short drive away. We stayed in lodge / holiday home 24, it was nice and clean, however the wifi which we paid £10 for was nearly none existent which made it difficult to watch a sports event which we had pre purchased. The bed in the double room is in desperate need of replacement as this is very uncomfortable. It would be better if the use of the hottub was more private as all surrounding lodges overlook each other.
Rachel (19 February 2018)

Beautiful lodge lovely location and views.
Hazvineyi (16 February 2018)

Excellent lodges. Well equiped. Games room could be improved. Parking spaces could be numbered as its unclear where to park. Hotub although did work temprature guage not reading, I think it should. Staff are very helpful, and overall this place is very good and could easily be excellent. Its the little things that need looked at ie loose knobs on cooker no signal on living room telly all easily sorted.
Stephen (16 February 2018)

- great location, tidy accommodation. . - the staff were most helpful and the lodges are immaculate and very pleasant, however, the wifi which we paid £10 for was nearly none existent which made it difficult to be connected. . - the games room needs more attention. Some games for children are available in the lodge. -the location of the hot tub as it was situated at the front of the lodge by the road/path so no privacy. It would be better if the use of the hot-tub was more private as all surrounding lodges overlook each other.
Ali from - The Staff Were Most Helpful And The Lodges Are I (16 February 2018)

What a beautiful place! we stayed for four nights and would most definitely be going back to the lodge we used. The lodges were a little closer together than expected but still private enough. Luckily for us our hot tub was placed around the side of our lodge so as not to be seen from the main road through the site, many of the others were not placed as well. We had a wonderful break with minimal complaints, the only thing I will say is that our hot tub wasn't clean on arrival and was done whilst we were there resulting in us losing one day of use of the hot tub. The other minor downside would be the games room could be a bit cleaner and you have to pay for the foosball and pool table. The staff were most helpful and the lodges are immaculate and very pleasant.
Robyn from Widnes (16 February 2018)

Fantastic lodges!! love this place that's why I returned for a second visit!! will definitely come back.
Wendy from Lincolnshire (16 February 2018)

Great holiday, would recommend
Steven from Jersey (16 February 2018)

Very nice place for a restful holiday and great location for a base to explore north and central wales .
Steve (06 January 2018)

Not enough equipment in kitchen for amount of guests in lodge so had to keep asking reception. Wi-fi was terrible after spending money to get it. Although we stayed over the new year period and we expected reception to be reduced hours it was shut early new years eve until the day after new years day a note on arrival would of been helpful to tell us this. Although check in was not until 4 our lodge wasn't ready until 4.30 which would of also been fine but we arrived at 1 and the reception team newer were waiting so as a gesture of good will could of tried to get us in a bit earlier and not later. Finally on arrival we had to pay a £100 pound charge that wouldn't get taken out of our account just frozen which we were also not told about until we arrived. The games room was unusable as the darts were inside the soccer table so that also couldn't be used and the pool table had a ripped cloth. The lodge jacuzzi lid was broken on arrival which we told reception about so that they wouldn't think it was us which would result in the loss of the £100 but they told us they knew about this already as it happened when it snowed previously. Again they could of told us about this.
Dean (03 January 2018)

Had a nice break but as there is nothing to do on site and not much to do in the area probably wouldnt return. Hot tub is a must!. a small shop on site would be great bonus, there are two hotels nearby which do food and we tried both these on our visit, one was ok the other was good.
Lisa (03 January 2018)

Our only 2 slight disappointments were the cabin was over looked more than we expected from the brochure. We expected views and space around us. The sofas could also do with a refresh. Other than that it was fab and a great location to explore wales
Louise from Halifax (30 December 2017)

A nice place to go but for the price & it being xmas I found it pretty poor. -no effort on xmas decorations. -kitchen cupboards had started peeling away. -the location of the hot tub as it was situated at the front of the lodge by the road/path so no privacy. -also the games room desperately needs a revamp. But a nice place to go if the price is right & not around xmas unless more effort is made to make it feel like xmas.
Tamara from -Also The Games Room Desperately Needs A Revamp. (30 December 2017)

Peaceful, quiet, tranquil. We were here in december snow capped mountains looking beautiful. . . the surrounding area does not have a lot to do but if you are looking for a quiet relaxed escape then this is for you!
Lauren from Staffordshire (22 December 2017)

We had a nice holiday, staff was helpful. Hot tub was nice and peaceful would recommend pen y garth log cabins to anyone.
Tee from Wrexham (15 December 2017)

We had an amazing break away at pen-y-garth, we visited the santa train in bala and the snow made the weekend magical. A christmas tree in the lodge would have made it more christmassy. We will definitely be returning.
Nicola from Wrexham (11 December 2017)

We love pen y garth and have been going there 2 or 3 time a year for the last few years. Most of the lodges are spacious and very well equipped. The hot tubs are great. we usually visor september thru to march as in high season we feel that it's over priced.
Jacqueline (11 December 2017)

Fab holiday lovely lodge friendly staff only thing was lid on hot tub broke so hard to get on and off but overall fab in a snowy scenery which was amazing
Caroline (11 December 2017)

Beautiful even when snowing. Only complain was there isn't even a small shop on site x
Jan from Liverpool (11 December 2017)

Most enjoyable stay will return again soon and will recommend to all our friends
Angela from Stoke-On-Trent (04 December 2017)

We stayed in lodge 35, it was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and had everything you could require for a holiday away from home. The site is wonderfully quiet and the staff helpful . the hot tub was amazing to sit in and view the stars through the clear sky.
Hilary from Coventry (27 November 2017)

Absolutely beautiful lodge foxglove 4 platinum. Had everything you could thinkg of, clean and hot tub was amazing. Will be back!
Rebecca from Cumbria (24 November 2017)

Lovely site spoilt a little by noisy group further down
Susan from Atherton (20 November 2017)

Absolutely loved the little beak with my family .hot tub was a big hit with us all!. will defo be returning soon if not christmas
Rhys from Mold (20 November 2017)

Delightful lodge, well equipped and very comfortable. The hot tub was a highlight to a very chilled weekend away
John from St Helens (20 November 2017)

Have stayed here before with no problems but this time there was a damp smell in the lodge, also the lid on the hot tub was broke so had to lift lid on and off, reported the smell as soon as we walked into lodge but were told they were fully booked so could not move us.
David (20 November 2017)

Cosy and comfortable, mainly used the lodge as a base while we explored north wales was really impressed with how nice they are inside and the hot tub was unreal to chill in at night
Jack (13 November 2017)

We have stayed in these lodges previously always in a different lodge. . we would go again, because in the main, the lodges have been clean and fairly well presented, but primarily they are glorified caravans and this is reflected in the price of a stay. The lodge park is exceptionally well located for mountain views and its very quiet, a pleasant walk by the lake into town.
Jackie from Lytham St Annes (13 November 2017)

Lovely lodge, hot tub lush, only negative was bed not to comfortable you could feel springs in your back! we were lucky to have a hot tub based at back of lodge , most hot tubs were on front of lodges facing the road through the park not very private.
Dawn from Bridgend (13 November 2017)

Disappointed that no daily hot tub checks were made .we had to report it smelling to reception for something to be done. Also due to ghetto time of year lots of leaves about and although efforts have been made on the decking to prevent slipping we felt that the developed king should have swept prior to arrival as it was slippery on the leaves around the hot tub.
Gary (13 November 2017)

Fantastic little weekend away
Steven from Liverpool (13 November 2017)

Had a really lovely weekend in the foxglove platinum. Beautiful and clean and the hot tub was a great extra. Would definitely stay here again!!
Rachael from Derbyshire (13 November 2017)

Was amazing holiday's. Good price !!! hot tube was something special!!! clean and modern!!! thank you !!! we will return next time !!
Andrius from Old Leake, Boston, Lincolnshire (10 November 2017)

Loved our stay would definately come again, great location not far from bala, lodge was lovely, modern and cosy. Only advice I don’t think you should make people pay for wifi. We didn’t as the majority of reviews stated it didn’t work.
Katie from Manchester (10 November 2017)

We had problems with the hot tub it was leaking and could not use it on our last 2 nights due to water levels and temperature would not be hot enough. This was very disappointing as this is why we booked this lodge.
Dawn from Chester (10 November 2017)

Nice place although was very disappointed with overall accomodation as the images on website are very misleading. Felt as though we were put in possibly an old lodge, which was not similar to the one I had chosen via website. Was not at all what ‘foxglove 4’ looked like online.
Sarah from Whitley Bay (10 November 2017)

Excellent accommodation. warm, polite and friendly staff. would recommend 100%
Carol-Ann from Nottingham (10 November 2017)

Just wanted a weekend away, not too far away drive. This was our third stay, although first time on our own without children.
David from Stockport (06 November 2017)

The lodge was quite shabby and not two years old outside drain pipes were completely faded looked like the lodge had been refurbished, tub was cold on arrival not good,. major maintenance work needed to bring up to a decent standard as was sold as a luxury lodge mattresses where completely flat, very dark road with no pavement to walk into town that was about a mile away and very dangerous at night, would have been even more disappointed if we had paid for summer prices twice what we actually paid, all in all ok but not luxury.
Robert (06 November 2017)

Great lodge well equipped and furnished. Great hot tub. Would like to see some sort of screen around the tub in the form of bamboo or hedge. Great location and would recommend to others. Not a true lodge as all the internal doors are very narrow and there's not a lot of space at the side of the bed.
Antony from Bolton (06 November 2017)

Paid £10 for wifi which we could not use.main bedroom light did not work and hot tap in bathroom was hanging off.also the lights in hot tub did not work
Sarah from Rochdale (06 November 2017)

1st time best experience!
Mohammed from Bradford (06 November 2017)

The place and setting was actually very nice. also hot tub was great and also kids loved the games room. . one thing I would say is I booked to stay in buttercup 4, with a hot tub. . on reflection, looking at pictures we stayed in bluebell which at the time of booking didn't have a hot tub. the lodge is definitely in need of a total revamp and freshening up. wasn't the cleanest I stayed either. the park manager however, was very helpful and did all she could to help us.
Helen from Sheffield (06 November 2017)

Very good however the hot tub was not ready for our arrival and we couldn’t use it till the saturday, and we had travelled along way and just wanted the chill on the friday night so it was a shame.
Zena from Lincolnshire (06 November 2017)

Lodge was beautiful, clean , and in a stunning location , would definitely stay there again .
Joan from Liverpool (06 November 2017)

We couldn’t check in on time. We missed a day of the hot tub because they had to deep clean it but forgot to tell us when we did eventually check in, the cabin was not clean and needed lots of things repaired fitting mostly.
Charlotte from Deeside (03 November 2017)

We really enjoyed our stay at pen-y-garth lodges, last year we enjoyed the foxglove platinum 4 and this year we stayed next door at the foxglove 5 platinum. Both lodges are beautiful, very comfortable and relaxing and immaculately clean and well kept . it is a peaceful site and the grounds are well kept . bala is a great location with plenty of takeaways and places to eat and nice days out nearby. If you feel like 'stop the world I want to get off' come to this site, it's a great escape.
Jane from Widnes Cheshire (03 November 2017)

We had a lovely family holiday at pen-y-garth, in october 2017. The park is located just 5 minutes drive out of the town of bala, nestled in beautiful welsh hillsides. The town is small, but has all the amenities you could need a small supermarket, petrol station, shops, pub's, takeaways. The park was well maintained, clean and tidy, with trees and shrubs growing between the lodges. On arrival the staff were very busy checking people in but were friendly and professional. Other than checking in and out we did not need anything from them as things were brill. The lodge was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and extremely spacious for a family of four and very well equipped. We would definitely recommend pen-y-garth lodge's for people who want a quiet holiday in the countryside, which was perfect for us. Maybe not for people who like lots going on. We would definitely visit again, great value for money.
Michael from Burnley (03 November 2017)

Very relaxing, comfortable lodge, amazing hot tub!
Rachel from Clitheroe (03 November 2017)

It was a wonderful holiday in all, the lodges where very well looked after, the hottub was amazing, and the views overall was spectacular, would definitely recommend to anyone who was to just chill out for a few days.
Shawn from Bridgwater (03 November 2017)

We stayed in a beautiful lodge. This was our second stay at penygarth. Can't wait to return. It is so peaceful.
Collette from North Wales (03 November 2017)

Amazing!
Hayley (03 November 2017)

We had an amazing time at the lodge, fantastic location & very helpful, welcoming & polite staff. Looking forward to my next visit in 2018 :-))
Dawn from Manchester (30 October 2017)

The holiday village was really lovely, the staff were very friendly but the kids clubhouse was very dirty, the pool table was broken, the darts were broken and many of the kids toys were missing. The cycle store was full of staff junk so things had to be moved to allow us to store our bikes. The hot tub was great & the location was amazing but the clubhouse definitely needed some work.
Nigel (30 October 2017)

Lovely location and helpful staff. Lodge was stunning x
Lois from Lampeter (30 October 2017)

Excellent lodge , mattresses could do with replacing ( no 4 lodge ) can feel the springs in the double room ! but overall we enjoyed our stay
Meghan from Isle Of Man (30 October 2017)

Excellent again. Stayed in the same lodge as last year and it had a new wooden floor and new kitchen cupboard fronts
Christine from Wigan (30 October 2017)

Lovely lodge which was clean & spacious. Loved the hot tub. Could have done with more crockery with 6 of us. The kids enjoyed the games room. Would have been perfect if a bar/ shop on site.
Sarah from Newbury (27 October 2017)

Despite initially thinking it was a larger park than I expected it was very peaceful and surrounded by hills. Staff were very helpful on arrival and maintained the park to a high standard. The accomodation was clean and included all the mod cons. There was plenty of seating and comfortable beds. Down the hill was the small village of bala with a lovely lake and it was a great area to access snowdon. Would return to the park.
Leueen from West Midlands (27 October 2017)

We loved our time away. Hot tub wasn’t ready for 24 hours as it has been cleaned which let us down even though we were happy it was clean for us. Caravan was clean and had everything we needed. A tip would be to take towels, soap and basic cooking stuff. Ours was dog friendly number 22 and I can’t wait to return.
Helen from Hartlepool (27 October 2017)

The holiday was good value for money. The lodge was spacious and well equipt. The hot tub was a great addition to the lodge and made the holiday. Our children enjoyed using the games room in the evening. The town was a mile walk away and there are nice walks locally.
Tammie (27 October 2017)

The lodge was perfect and exactly as describe nice and clean. Will deffo be going back asap the views were stunning and to top it off the weather was good to.
Mathew from Nottinghamshire (20 October 2017)

Absolutely amazing holiday. My fiancé and I can’t wait to go back. Great place the fact we could take our dog with us made the holiday more us!
Erin from Holywell (20 October 2017)

The area was nice, the park itself didn’t really have much to do and the lodge we stayed in was directly outside of reception so groundskeeper and cleaners would just abandon their vehicles outside the door so not much privacy. . it’s no big deal but I wouldn’t advise paying for the wifi as you can’t connect to it anyway
Karl (20 October 2017)

Had a fantastic weekend break
Karen (16 October 2017)

Absolutely perfect. Exactly the relaxing weekend we needed and the lodge was stunning. The hot hub was lovely and the water was crystal clear.
Katie from Congleton (16 October 2017)

It was a fantastic holiday love, love, loved it. Hot tub fantastic well worth the money. Great scenery and walks. Only thing I would change is the wi-fi option only able to access it maybe 2 to 3 times after paying for the option.
Jy from Liverpool (16 October 2017)

Absolutely love this place lovely surroundings lodges have everything you need perfect place for a relaxing break
Patrick from Merseyside (09 October 2017)

What a amazing place, its a pity we only went for a long weekend, we are definitely going to go back there next year.
Oliver from Worcester (09 October 2017)

We have both enjoyed our short stay at pen-y-garth lodges, with the lovely scenery & bala lake nearby. It is in an ideal location for day trips to all over north wales, and we will certainly return for another holiday. Hopefully next time for a longer stay.
Pamela from Rainham, Kent (06 October 2017)

It was lovely and peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful.
David from Bradford (06 October 2017)

Great accommodation, situation and amenities.
Brian from Market Deeping (06 October 2017)

Enjoyable week away, there isn't much on the site, that isn't a criticism, simply an observation, we were more than happy. . thanks
Kev from St Helens (06 October 2017)

I had been a little worried before we went to the lodges as had read a few bad reviews. we could not fault it, the hot tub was ready for use as soon as we arrived. although our lodge was a little dated, it was clean and had all the facilities we required for the stay. The park itself was lovely and the staff were helpful. we will definitely go back.
Rachel (02 October 2017)

This is not really a lodge its a static caravan and the 11pm curfew is unreasonable unless you are making excesive noise .
Jinny (02 October 2017)

The lodge was lovely and had everything we needed. The hot tub was lovely to come back to and relax in after a day of sightseeing. We would love to return one day in the future.
Michelle from Wiltshire (02 October 2017)

Beautiful park and area. Lovely helpful staff
Michael from Lancs (29 September 2017)

The lodge itself was absolutely amazing. . I felt that the welcome at the reception was a bit lacking.
Shelley from Bristol (29 September 2017)

The lodge was very comfortable & clean & park well maintained. Just would have liked a few more dog bins!! we had a lovely chilled time at peny garth & the hot tub was just great. We will be back. Thank you all...
Janet from Livetpool (29 September 2017)

Very nice park and lodge was ok. Couple of issues though. Would have liked a shop or something to do on site but there was literally nothing. :-( nice and clean though.
Daniel from Chipping Norton (29 September 2017)

A beautiful well equipped lodge, very spacious.
Andrew from Widnes (25 September 2017)

Lovely house shame that the garden area around the hot tub was not well maintained, old bbq' s from previous guest still there and plant pots full of weeds. Some glasses in the kitchen were cracked and kitchen utensils and equipment sparse when cooking for 6 . the cooker had no grill pan and limited trays and pans. . lounge furniture was tired and worn. . overall we had a good time
Sarah from Wolverhampton (25 September 2017)

Beautiful location. Only one restaurant in the nearby town. No take aways will deliver to the area. Amazing lodge for those that just want to get away from everything and hide, we stayed in a foxglove platinum 4 lodge, it was brilliant, on suite bathroom for the master bedroom, dishwasher so you didn't have to bother dealing with the pots whilst you're supposed to be relaxing. And where can you go wrong when there's a hot tub :)
Jason from Wakefield (25 September 2017)

Great place. Lovely accommodation. Great price and good location. Shame they don't have a shop or bar on site
David from Blackpool (25 September 2017)

Overall we were extremely happy with our stay. We were in the foxglove 4 platinum which is situated well and the hot tub is private however on looking at the other lodges the hot tubs generally face towards each other. The interior is lovely and very clean. . it would be nice to have a little shop or cafe on site however the closest shop is only a 5 minute drive away. . the location could not be nicer. We went with a 2 dogs and a 4month old and there are pram friendly walks and all local inns/cafes and the visitors centre let dogs inside. . I would book again in the future
Linda from Doncaster (22 September 2017)

Very enjoyable holiday, the lodge was very nice and we'll equipped. Setting of the park is good, nice and quiet with good views and access to north wales, not far from bala for supplies. Two downsides to the park, 1. Hot tub is not ready on the first day of your arrival which is hugely disappointing but you can make up for it by using it lots on the remaining days. This does mean on a mon-fri break you can only really use it tues, weds and thurs which is a shame. 2. Depending on which lodge you are in, the hot tub and patio area is not very private. Our lodge was right opposite reception so overlooked by anyone driving in and out or walking when we were outside. It wasn't busy so this didn't effect us on this trip too much but I would seriously consider whether to stay again because of this. If the park was busier then it would not have been private at all which is no good as you want to use the outside space for eating and relaxing, I wouldn't use this area in the lodge we had. I'd suggest asking before booking
Caroline (22 September 2017)

Lovely lodge, very homely, and clean. Nice quiet area. Would definitely stay again.
Emily (22 September 2017)

Beautiful lodge beautiful location. Perfect autumn get away. Lovely place to unwind
Joanna from Cheshire (22 September 2017)

The grounds were lovely as we drove in so we were excited to see our lodge, however it was a bit of an anti climax as our lodge was really not very nice. The outside was dirty, the inside was tatty and the fridge had an unpleasant smell. The sofa's were not very comfortable or good for lounging on which is all we wanted to do on sunday after climbing snowdon. We were disappointed we had spent so much on the lodge and it really wasn't worth the cost we paid.
Ellie (18 September 2017)

The manor house is lovely and well appointed. Spoilt by a lack of maintenance, this house needs some tlc!
Roger from Poole (18 September 2017)

Fabulous lodge with awesome view! loved the hot tub and found it so relaxing. Lovely place will definitely visit again.
Joanne from Newton Le Willows (18 September 2017)

We enjoyed our holiday with no major problems
Michael from Eastbourne (18 September 2017)

Beautiful, had a fantastic time!
Samantha from Bristol (18 September 2017)

On the day of our arrival having traveled 180 miles to be told at 4pm that our cabin was still going through a second inspection and we would have to wait. We were given the keys at 4.25. When my wife opened the oven to cook chips for our meal, she found an oven tray thick with grease. We improvised but did not use the oven again during our holiday. Whoever did the second inspection did not do a very good job. some of the furniture ie settee's, were below standard taking into account the cabin is described as "platinum". otherwise the cabin was big and spacious and had everything you would want. It is warm and cosy.
Roger (15 September 2017)

Lovely lodge, extremely clean and tidy and had everything in it we needed for our holiday. Very good value for money, the park and views were beautiful and it was very close to bala lake
Rachael from Manchester (15 September 2017)

This was our second visit to pen-y-garth, even more enjoyable than our first. Definitely will visit again.
Marjorie from Ashton Under Lyne, (15 September 2017)

Fantastic break in beautiful surroundings with my family
Denise from Wigan (11 September 2017)

We had a lovely 3 night stay at pen-y-garth. The park is small and quiet and perfectly placed for exploration of snowdonia. Bala lake is very close by, complete with a cute miniature railway which is a great way to see some lovely scenery. . . the lodge was spacious and the hot tub spotlessly clean and well maintained. the lodge itself was clean but could have done with a good deep clean (a few dusty areas). the only negative was that the bed was a little too firm for my liking. . . we will definitely be returning!
Laura (11 September 2017)

Very family friendly lodge. Would visit again.
Lisa from Manchester (11 September 2017)
