A warm welcome from the receptionist. She talked us through the small amount of paperwork in the lodge. An extremely spacious master bedroom and ensuite. Comfortable bed and nice linen. Plenty of towels for indoor use and hot tub use. Including robes and slippers for the tub. Well equipped kitchen and nice and clean. Good selection of books, games and dvds in the lounge. Peaceful surroundings but equally nice to hear guests in their tubs or tents having fun in the evening. Well stocked shop on site with very nice staff and reasonably priced too. Can't wait to return. In fact we booked for 3 nights and then booked a further 4 because we didn't want to leave.
James from Suffolk (03 September 2018)

The lodges were excellent, spacious and comfortable. The children loved being there - thinking the lodge itself was the holiday, they would have stayed in each day. The surrounding area offered lots to see and do. A fabulous holiday all round.
Mark from Colchester (01 September 2018)

High quality accommodation. Hot tub was great. Lovely outlook over countryside.
Vivien from Brentwood (27 August 2018)

Excellent site really peaceful. Excellent for taking bikes. Lodge really comfortable and relaxing. Really nice break
Hayley (27 August 2018)

Not sold accurately, hey said adult only when we got there. We had family as guests I the day and were refused. Not very private and overpriced. Little soul, although lovely scenery.
Freda (27 August 2018)

Clean and comfy. Lodge is to big for 2 so smaller lodges would be good. A better shop and maybe a bar or cafe would be lovely. . hot tub lovely
Mary from Hemel Hempstead (25 August 2018)

Great stay - 3rd visit - good location for cycling and coast. Hot tub good. Owner has landscaped the plot nicely with a woodland walk
Jo (24 August 2018)

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was nothing short of amazing! best wedding present ever! immaculate lodge made out of the most beautiful wood, unobstructed views of the countryside, our own private hot tub on our decking veranda. Everything we needed was in the lodge e.g. Fridge, dishwasher, cooker etc. This was perfect for us as we wanted a place that is home from home but somewhere that isnt surrounded by hoards of people and this is exactly how it was. We didnt want to leave. We have stayed here before in a glamping pod which was lovely but staying in a blythe premier lodge was amazing. We will definitely be staying here again sometime soon but will bring our children next time as they will love the trail walks etc! highly recommend this gem of a place.
Stephanie (20 August 2018)

Fantastic location, helpful staff, very clean lodges/site.i am sure we will be returning soon..
Stephen from Accrington (18 August 2018)

Discounted last minute booking. Very clean lodge and hot tub with private veranda. Lovely and quiet site, children loved flying kites on play field. There's no cafe/restaurant /bar/entertainment here if that's what you're into but we liked the calm atmosphere. About 15-20 minutes drive into southwold which is great to visit. The pub down the road serves good food. Really enjoyed our break there. Wifi is available, kitchen well equipped, only negative would be that we all found the mattresses a bit uncomfortable.
Victoria (17 August 2018)

The site was very quiet and relaxing just what we were looking for. the staff were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. we had no complaints with our lodge as it was well equipped for all of our needs and very clean, including the outside hot tub.
Susan from Hornchurch (17 August 2018)

A peaceful retreat to rest and unwind.
Kayly from Harwich (17 August 2018)

Lovely quiet break. Friendly welcome and hot tub was ready and warm when we arrived. . only down side- some the campers were loud until after midnight keeping us awake and litter was left around by them
Amanda (13 August 2018)

Really lovely location, tucked away and peaceful. Greeted on arrival and shown around our lodge and how to work the hot tub, handy shop onsite with everything you'd need.
Laura from Colchester (13 August 2018)

Beautiful and relaxing lodge break
Carole from Mildenhall (10 August 2018)

Great lodge. Park shop was small but had essentials.
Emma from Stevenage (10 August 2018)

Great location and lodges well worth a visit
Roy (06 August 2018)

The site was nice and clean, with a good stocked shop for emergencies. There is also a launderette but we didn't use. It was peaceful and quiet, not much nearby except for walks and a nearby pub. However southwold is only about 5 miles away, for larger supermarket beccles is about 10 miles away. There were a lot of wasps and flying ants but I guess that the price we pay for having a hot summer! I would recommend this for people who want some peace and quiet and to get away from it all. Not much to do on site for families with young children but there is a small playground and a nice nature trail.
Kathryn (04 August 2018)

Had a great time and will definitely return.
Angela from Brierley Hill (03 August 2018)

A little difficult tofind even with sat nav.very helpful and friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble.accomodation excellent ,beautifully clean and quiet.excellent shopon site.we would certainly recommend it to family and friends.we would not hesitate to stay there again.
Irene from Epsom Surrey (20 July 2018)

Beautiful location. Went for a peaceful break and that's exactly what we had. Looked over lovely countryside every morning. Handy little store on site that actually sold goods that were not grossly marked up in price. This really is a place i'd return to. . a lovely little holiday retreat.
Lance from Great Wakering (20 July 2018)

For us it was a good local break well needed
Mr Glenn from Felixstowe (20 July 2018)

Absolutely beautiful lodges. very clean and comfortable. Everything you need. Close to wonderful beaches at southwold and many other attractions.

Chloe from Lincoln (13 July 2018)

Spotlessly clean and very peaceful
Paul from Maldon (09 July 2018)

Nice quiet location, lovely accommodation (decent hot tub), nice little park for the kids, big field to play sports in. Local pubs are nice, with quality food especially the pub named the white hart
James from Local Pubs Are Nice, With Quality Food Especially (09 July 2018)

Staff were lovely and lodge was nice. Kitchen really badly equipped. Also had a bad ant infestation in most rooms. Site manager put ant traps down but they seemed to attract more. Such a shame cos we had our baby son with us. Lovely location for seeing suffolk
Tom from Norwich (09 July 2018)

We stayed for 2 weeks and literally had the site to ourselves. The owner and staff made us feel very welcome. The blyth lodge was clean and tidy, linen was changed at the end of the first week. The hot tube was a relaxing after being out for the day. The shop on site was stocked with a wide range of items and the staff who served us always had a smile and made time for a quick chat. The grounds were well kept and obviously looked after, including the nature trail areas. A very peaceful break and would recommend to family and friends without hesitation. . would look to return again.
Garry from Southend On Sea (07 July 2018)

Lovely lodge on a quiet site with plenty of room to let the kids run about. Great base to explore the suffolk coast
Kevin from Lanark (07 July 2018)

Lovely clean cabin . hot tub was excellent and as it was advertised on the tin. would recommend to anyone .
Philip from Ipswich (06 July 2018)

We really enjoyed the holiday and it was difficult to find any faults. However, we feel that it lacked a full range of kitchen utensils eg milk jug, toast rack, pyrex bowl for microwave, bread knife, bread bin etc
Roger from Walsall (06 July 2018)

Nice quite location. Warning..…..do not book early wait for large disscounts
Gerald from Warning...…...Do Not Book Early Wait For Large Di (02 July 2018)

Perfect for a family gathering.
Rebecca (02 July 2018)

Had the most amazing, relaxing weekend at heathside lodges. The staff could not have been friendly and when we did have a slight issue with ants, they immediately rectified it. The lodge was very clean and exactly what the girls and I needed for a girlie weekend. Thank you.
Amanda from Norwich (02 July 2018)

Very relaxing just what we needed
Amanda (30 June 2018)

Excellent
Maureen from Finedon (29 June 2018)

Lovely & quiet.cant fault it.hot tub lush.
Colin from Barry (29 June 2018)

Very clean lodge, friendly helpful staff, very pieceful and relaxing site.
Kevin (25 June 2018)

Super break!
Lynn from Norwich (25 June 2018)

We love it here. It's so quiet and peaceful due to the fairly remote location. There is a shop on site if needed and a really lovely pub (the star) with great food (booking recommended at weekends) within about 7 minutes walk. We like the fact that there is very little else here as we aren't interested in entertainments etc. And the crowd they attract (meaning mainly lots of kids really). the beautiful suffolk coast is only 15 mins away by car. The owner is really helpful and friendly and usually on hand if there are any issues (not that there ever has been). the lodges are lovely, all bare wood, very cosy in winter, but great to fling open the doors onto the deck in summer. Robes, slippers and towels for the tub are provided which is a nice touch. We have been 5 times now and will definitely be back.
Sj from Witham (25 June 2018)

A nice lodge in a beautiful surrounding.
Peter from The Netherlands (16 June 2018)

Came for 4 nights in june. perfect setting for peace, quiet and relaxation. Lodge was fantastic. everything you want and spotlessly clean. wouldn't change anything.
Debbie from Northampton (15 June 2018)

Although we only had a one bedroom lodge I was surprised to find that we didn’t have the same amount of furniture in the bedroom as in a two bed lodge. Still two people occupying the bedroom as in other lodges.
Jacqueline from Belper Derbyshire (15 June 2018)

Once again a great time at heathside.this is our third time of going and we usually never go anywhere twice so I think that says alot.an ideal base to vist the suffolk coast or countryside or to venture further afield into norfolk.good clean accommodation with a hot tub whats not to love.
Deborah from Herts (15 June 2018)

Brilliant holiday
Margaret from Northamptonshire (11 June 2018)

Amazing cabin, very clean beautiful relaxing can't rate enough!. bare in mind only one little shop on site and nothing else you have to be able to drive to go exploring , but africa alive is 20 minutes away and a soak in the hot tub on a sunny day overlooking the beautiful views. Amazing!
Emma from Essex (08 June 2018)

Nice and clean. Lovely view from lodge. Hot tub set up and ready to use. Towels provided. . very quiet relaxing midweek break. Need to drive if you want to go anywhere. A small shop on site, or lowestoft is 20 min away. . would use again
Mark from Luton (01 June 2018)

Great place to visit! lodge is clean and has everything you need. Everyone on site is friendly. Beautiful surroundings.
Donna (01 June 2018)

Great relaxing long weekend. Will return.
Wendy from Lowestoft (28 May 2018)

The lodge was itself excellent apart from a couple of things: the cooking utensils left a bit to be desired and, in my view, a number of them need replacing promptly. At each interior door a wooden step was in evidence which, while manageable much of the time, made it extremely easy to stub your toes on or trip over at night. I could not see the purpose of these steps. The shop was, in my view, poorly stocked, and if you wanted a newspaper after about 10.00 am (shop opens at 0900) choice was limited to say the least. The local area, say within a radius of 10 miles, was devoid of good supermarkets and decent restaurants, (plenty of pubs - some of which serve reasonable pub food) but sometimes you want something just that little better. Little or no publicity of what facilities /events/interests were available in the area. Finally - I felt that it was considerably over priced in comparison with other lodges in other parts of southern england the lodges each had a hot tub and in my view this is what you were paying probably paying for. If you don't use the hot tub the lodges are expensive. The site also takes tented and caravan campers so if you are looking for peace and quiet - you won't get it it if the site is full to them>
Peter (26 May 2018)

Loved heathside looking forward to going back soom
Tina from Great Yarmouth (25 May 2018)

Friendly facility and location was quiet. The lodge was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Ideally need a car to go out and about if the weather isn’t great.
Caroline from Nottingham (02 April 2018)

Great time away. Relaxing. Loved the hot tub
Charlotte (02 April 2018)

Stayed over the easter bank holiday weekend so the price was a little higher due to the children being off school. We took our own children plus two of our foster children and have stayed at a lot of lodges in different locations. This lodge was of good quality and had plenty of space so we did not feel like we were on top of each other. the fixtures and fittings are looking a bit tired, the table and chairs had been well used and the highchair straps had gone mouldy so clearly needed replacing. The mattress in the main room was very uncomfortable so we were glad we only booked for the weekend. The dvd player was not working but the owner came out and advised us to swictch it on and off each time we used it and it was then fine. Overall it was a good base and although it rained everyday we made the best of it and had a nice day out in lowerstoft and great yarmouth. The local pubs were nice but I would advice booking if there is more than two of you and you require food. The owner was very welcoming and the onsite shop well stocked. It should be made clear that parking is a short walk to the lodge and the grass was wet and muddy, maybe some walkways would be a good investment.
Penny from Mayland Essex (02 April 2018)

Great place- went with an 18 month old and a 5 year old. We stayed in a 3 bedroom deben premier and it was very very spacious with high ceilings and well equipped. There was a small amount of kids cups and plates which was helpeful. Only one dishwasher tab though. A good amount of kitchen kit. . hot tub was fun, and it was lovely to be looking on to the fields. The kids playground bit was lovely and we enjoyed the small walk next to it. The shop had a good selection of food and drinks and other bits and bobs. . downsides- the beds were not comfy- like sleeping on a rock. I would suggest bringing a mattress topper. The heating is controlled by the office using wifi- I wasn’t too keen on this system as we got cold in the night and couldn’t turn the heating on. Hot tub didn’t heat up until the next day. If people are using their hot tubs in the evening or are outside playing or eating you can hear them very clearly. Not the end of the world, but worth noting :)
Cara from Colchester (30 March 2018)

The lodge was very clean. Well fitted with kitchen appliances and had a warm feeling. It was also warm. The location suited us as it was peaceful. Despite the weather (rain and more rain) the nature trail was well thought out and enjoyable to walk. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. The resident donkeys also brought a nice aspect to the site.
Stephen from London (30 March 2018)

We had an amazing holiday the log cabin was lovelier than we could’ve expected and the staff and people in the local area were lovely. We will definitely be coming again.

Steven from Leicestershire (12 March 2018)

I went away with 2 friends. We had a lovely time. The lodge was clean and tidy. We had our own private hot tub which just made our 4 night stay complete. The only down side was we arrived on the monday at 3pm and our tub wasn't warm enough to use untill tuesday. But other than that we had a fab time. They supplied us with a list of restaurants and pubs near by too.
Illeya from Norfolk (09 March 2018)

Genuinely cannot fault at all..staff are friendly and helpful, shop is well stocked and the lodge has everything and more than you need and is spotless!
Claire from Essex (09 March 2018)

Unfortunately our holiday coincided with the bad weather & we had to leave early to get home. The staff were very helpful & gave us information so we could get out & about before the snow made this impossible
Alison (02 March 2018)

It’s the 2nd time we have been here, the lodge is stunning and immaculately clean. The only reason I gave the overall rating 8/10 is due to arriving each time on a friday and not being able to use the hot tub until the following day as it wasn’t hot enough.
Natasha (26 February 2018)

I have been to these lodges loads of times. Love them. So warm and well equipped with the luxury of the hot tub.
Karen (26 February 2018)

Fantastic time in a beautiful location, friendly helpful staff, great pub down the road and the lodge and hot tub were amazing!
Knight from Wickford (26 February 2018)

Great break! we didn’t enjoy the nearest pub as felt as though we were in someone’s front room!! but lovely accommodation, surroundings and handy shop. The lodge had a few cobwebs, but that should be expected with the kind of building. . the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. . . highly recommend!!
Ns (26 February 2018)

Absolutely perfect for a kiddy free, relaxed weekend away with the husband. Total relaxation in the hot tub whilst watching the birds in the trees. . would come back with kids too as great walks, and relaxed camp site with basic but modern facilities.
Selina from Essex (26 February 2018)

Absolutely loved it! brilliant location and beautiful lodge.
Katy (23 February 2018)

The lodge was in the perfect location to enjoy a relaxing break away from it all. Although our stay was during february, it was great to be able to use the hot tub. The on-site shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. We would definitely go back.

Nicola from Leicester (12 February 2018)

Very peaceful and enjoyable. could do with more privacy between lodges - saw plants which were young so perhaps this will be dealt with in a year or two. also paths to front doors as the rain meant walking n very wet grass
Paul from London (12 February 2018)

Lovely and quiet. The staff on site was friendly and welcoming. Absolutely loved my weekend

The icing on the cake would be taking outmr small dog with us. . . we have been there at lest 4 times now and love it. Very relaxing. can do as much or as little as you like. . . cabins are lovely.
Kim from Lowestoft (30 December 2017)

Wonderfull place in quiet location, marketed as a luxury venue so could do with better stocked kitchen, ie bin bags, recycling bin, kitchen roll, hand soap, dish washer tablets(more than one!) and more than one tea bag and one coffee and one toilet roll to welcome us( its the small touches that can make fantastic into brilliant). apart from that minor thing fantastic, hot tubs cleaned between stays, owners lovely, super comfy bed, nice location. Would defiantly return...(p.s could do with a path to the front door rather than walk on grass?)
Peter (27 December 2017)

Great stay, lodges are new so everything spotless. Extra touches were nice, bathrobe, toiletries and a christmas tree. Good bathrooms - strong shower and a bath. Hot tub super. It will be nice when the plants and trees are more established. Handy shop on site too with friendly staff. Loved it!
Jayne from Ware (04 December 2017)

This is our third stay at heathside lodges and i'm sure we'll be back. it's a wonderful location and the lodges are so comfortable we have a really relaxing time.
Melanie from Ilford (01 December 2017)

Fantastic break, we will be booking again for 2018! excellent service, little touches were great :- toddler cutlery and dishes, list of local restaurants and takeaways all made to make our stay more enjoyable!
Leslie from Basildon Essex (27 November 2017)

Fab break, wonderful lodge and hot tub . ideal setting. lovely location .
Trisha from Northamptonshire (27 November 2017)

The lodge was amazing, as was the hot tub. It was clean and very nice.
Martin from Aston Clinton (27 November 2017)

Very relaxing, nicely located to visit lots of great places.
Neil from Bedford (24 November 2017)

Absolutely lovely place!! would highly recommend to this to anyone! cabins are of a very high standard, and are very well equipped! will definitely be returning!
Emily from Kings Lynn (24 November 2017)

Absolutely fantastic weekend. Have been to heathside lodges twice now and have not been disappointed.
Anna (20 November 2017)

Excellent stay, lovely clean place with excellent equipment in the cabin, peaceful surroundings with a friendly and warm welcome.
Carole from Great Yarmouth (20 November 2017)

Excellent place
Patrick from Ipswich (13 November 2017)

My partner and I were so impressed with the lodges. They were so clean, easy to find and the staff were lovely! I would highly recommend!
Emma (13 November 2017)

A warm welcome at reception and comfortable beds.
Robert from Milton Keynes (10 November 2017)

We stayed in lodge16 one of the new blyth premier lodges. Lovely lodge with all you could need. The bathrobes, hot tub slippers & toiletries were a very nice touch and everything was spotless. Have recommended to friends and family and would definitely go back.
Simon from Cotswolds (10 November 2017)

A four day break in indifferent weather. Easy to check in and unload, helpful & friendly welcome and guide to the lodge. All very clean and welcoming. Hot tub was monitored daily, and was excellent!. spacious grounds, including a surprisingly good 'nature trail'. first class shop, open all day, used by locals too - good prices & helpful staff, and a good range of items - you could manage buying from here only if you wished-local suppliers for such as bread etc. Overall, seemed well cared fo, and good value.(our lodge was only 4 weeks old!)
Stephen from Colchester (10 November 2017)

Nice place to stay, a bit remote.
Martin (06 November 2017)

We visited heathside lodges for the sixth time. And we still love it.
Hettie from The Hague, The Netherlands (04 November 2017)

Booked a 5 day break. The lodge and hot tub were excellent. The park is pristine and the staff were fantastic. My only complaint would be the local area, althiugh is very picturesque does not have alot to do. We had to travel to great yarmouth to enjoy the seaside feel. However this would not stop me from recommending the park and I am looking forward to returning soon.
Stephen from Birmingham (03 November 2017)

We had a lovely relaxing time. Its a beautiful spot and a stunning part of the country. The lodges are toasty warm and the beds are comfy. Most of the things we needed were provided, our only issue was as it was chilly outside we sat inside mostly and the sofa wasn't that spacious for the two of us for long. But its a minor thing and we most definitely recommend a stay. The food at the queens head in blyford was superb..wish we had found it at the start of our stay
Suzanne from Mojacar Spain (03 November 2017)

The only drawback is that you can't park outside your lodge to unload
Jacqueline from Belper (03 November 2017)

Very warm welcome and fantastic lodge. Excellent location and we all had an amazing weekend. Thank you. We would strongly recommend lodge and we will be back soon!
Helen from Norwich (30 October 2017)

Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and quiet getaway. Plenty of room in the 6 sleeper lodges which were well equipped and very luxurious. Hot tub was lovely and warm and very enjoyable even at the end of october. The surroundings are lovely with lots of space for families to play outside as well quiet walks. Small shop on site which had a range of goods at reasonable prices. Stayed with female family for a girly getaway but will definitely return with my young family soon.
Jessica from Bury St Edmunds (30 October 2017)
