Clare from Tiotree (16 April 2018)

Lovely quiet park, lodges need a little tlc, but well equipped. Owners friendly and location beautiful.
Julie from Lowestoft (16 April 2018)

The whole site was very clean and in a lovely quiet location
Michael from Rayleigh (13 April 2018)

Lovely relaxing location. Only negative was the double bed was very uncomfortable.
Louise (13 April 2018)

Great location. Everything was clean and lodge was very spacious. Can’t wait to go back!
Nicola from Rochester (09 April 2018)

Wonderful relaxing family holiday there. Four very happy boys
Roy from Flore, Northamptonshire (09 April 2018)

Friendly facility and location was quiet. The lodge was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Ideally need a car to go out and about if the weather isn’t great.
Caroline from Nottingham (02 April 2018)

Great time away. Relaxing. Loved the hot tub
Charlotte (02 April 2018)

Stayed over the easter bank holiday weekend so the price was a little higher due to the children being off school. We took our own children plus two of our foster children and have stayed at a lot of lodges in different locations. This lodge was of good quality and had plenty of space so we did not feel like we were on top of each other. the fixtures and fittings are looking a bit tired, the table and chairs had been well used and the highchair straps had gone mouldy so clearly needed replacing. The mattress in the main room was very uncomfortable so we were glad we only booked for the weekend. The dvd player was not working but the owner came out and advised us to swictch it on and off each time we used it and it was then fine. Overall it was a good base and although it rained everyday we made the best of it and had a nice day out in lowerstoft and great yarmouth. The local pubs were nice but I would advice booking if there is more than two of you and you require food. The owner was very welcoming and the onsite shop well stocked. It should be made clear that parking is a short walk to the lodge and the grass was wet and muddy, maybe some walkways would be a good investment.
Penny from Mayland Essex (02 April 2018)

Great place- went with an 18 month old and a 5 year old. We stayed in a 3 bedroom deben premier and it was very very spacious with high ceilings and well equipped. There was a small amount of kids cups and plates which was helpeful. Only one dishwasher tab though. A good amount of kitchen kit. . hot tub was fun, and it was lovely to be looking on to the fields. The kids playground bit was lovely and we enjoyed the small walk next to it. The shop had a good selection of food and drinks and other bits and bobs. . downsides- the beds were not comfy- like sleeping on a rock. I would suggest bringing a mattress topper. The heating is controlled by the office using wifi- I wasn’t too keen on this system as we got cold in the night and couldn’t turn the heating on. Hot tub didn’t heat up until the next day. If people are using their hot tubs in the evening or are outside playing or eating you can hear them very clearly. Not the end of the world, but worth noting :)
Cara from Colchester (30 March 2018)

The lodge was very clean. Well fitted with kitchen appliances and had a warm feeling. It was also warm. The location suited us as it was peaceful. Despite the weather (rain and more rain) the nature trail was well thought out and enjoyable to walk. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. The resident donkeys also brought a nice aspect to the site.
Stephen from London (30 March 2018)

We had an amazing holiday the log cabin was lovelier than we could’ve expected and the staff and people in the local area were lovely. We will definitely be coming again.
Amy from Folkestone (26 March 2018)

There is everything you need in the lodge and the hot tub at night u dear the stars is wonderful. I would recommend a break here to anyone there was nothing to find fault with.

Very nice place.
Steven from Leicestershire (12 March 2018)

I went away with 2 friends. We had a lovely time. The lodge was clean and tidy. We had our own private hot tub which just made our 4 night stay complete. The only down side was we arrived on the monday at 3pm and our tub wasn't warm enough to use untill tuesday. But other than that we had a fab time. They supplied us with a list of restaurants and pubs near by too.
Illeya from Norfolk (09 March 2018)

Genuinely cannot fault at all..staff are friendly and helpful, shop is well stocked and the lodge has everything and more than you need and is spotless!
Claire from Essex (09 March 2018)

Unfortunately our holiday coincided with the bad weather & we had to leave early to get home. The staff were very helpful & gave us information so we could get out & about before the snow made this impossible
Alison (02 March 2018)

It’s the 2nd time we have been here, the lodge is stunning and immaculately clean. The only reason I gave the overall rating 8/10 is due to arriving each time on a friday and not being able to use the hot tub until the following day as it wasn’t hot enough.
Natasha (26 February 2018)

I have been to these lodges loads of times. Love them. So warm and well equipped with the luxury of the hot tub.
Karen (26 February 2018)

Fantastic time in a beautiful location, friendly helpful staff, great pub down the road and the lodge and hot tub were amazing!
Knight from Wickford (26 February 2018)

Great break! we didn’t enjoy the nearest pub as felt as though we were in someone’s front room!! but lovely accommodation, surroundings and handy shop. The lodge had a few cobwebs, but that should be expected with the kind of building. . the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. . . highly recommend!!
Ns (26 February 2018)

Absolutely perfect for a kiddy free, relaxed weekend away with the husband. Total relaxation in the hot tub whilst watching the birds in the trees. . would come back with kids too as great walks, and relaxed camp site with basic but modern facilities.
Selina from Essex (26 February 2018)

Absolutely loved it! brilliant location and beautiful lodge.
Katy (23 February 2018)

The lodge was in the perfect location to enjoy a relaxing break away from it all. Although our stay was during february, it was great to be able to use the hot tub. The on-site shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. We would definitely go back.
Andrea (23 February 2018)

Had a lovely 3 nights in these immaculate lodges. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will definitely be going back.
Nicola from Leicester (12 February 2018)

Very peaceful and enjoyable. could do with more privacy between lodges - saw plants which were young so perhaps this will be dealt with in a year or two. also paths to front doors as the rain meant walking n very wet grass
Paul from London (12 February 2018)

Lovely and quiet. The staff on site was friendly and welcoming. Absolutely loved my weekend
Dannielle from Essex (05 February 2018)

We had a great time, the site is lovely, peaceful and picturesque. The lodge itself was fab, really loved the hot tub! it was lovely and clean, spacious and warm! the real bonus though was the fireworks display the site owner put on on new years eve, a real treat, thank you!
Lisa (03 January 2018)

We stayed for a 4 night break over new year and was well impressed with the layout and attentive staff
Lynn from Doncaster (03 January 2018)

Dissatisfied with cleanliness, and faulty hot tub ,that was not looked at during our stay.
Julian from Norwich (30 December 2017)

Lovely place, views and owners
Amanda from Derby (30 December 2017)

The icing on the cake would be taking outmr small dog with us. . . we have been there at lest 4 times now and love it. Very relaxing. can do as much or as little as you like. . . cabins are lovely.
Kim from Lowestoft (30 December 2017)

Wonderfull place in quiet location, marketed as a luxury venue so could do with better stocked kitchen, ie bin bags, recycling bin, kitchen roll, hand soap, dish washer tablets(more than one!) and more than one tea bag and one coffee and one toilet roll to welcome us( its the small touches that can make fantastic into brilliant). apart from that minor thing fantastic, hot tubs cleaned between stays, owners lovely, super comfy bed, nice location. Would defiantly return...(p.s could do with a path to the front door rather than walk on grass?)
Peter (27 December 2017)

This was our third visit to heathside lodges. We had a lovely stay again was a nice change to spend christmas here and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub again. Looking to possibly try new year another time. Lovely peaceful setting and lodges are very cosy and a perfect getaway.
Dawn from Mayland, Essex (27 December 2017)

We had a fab time at heathside lodges. Perfect for relaxation.

Taylor from Kent (04 December 2017)

Perfect. Excellent for the price. The lady was so so wonderful and welcoming, however we found the man very abrupt and rude. . . i’d 100% love to stay again and highly recommend to anyone. . . thank you x
Megan (04 December 2017)

Great stay, lodges are new so everything spotless. Extra touches were nice, bathrobe, toiletries and a christmas tree. Good bathrooms - strong shower and a bath. Hot tub super. It will be nice when the plants and trees are more established. Handy shop on site too with friendly staff. Loved it!
Jayne from Ware (04 December 2017)

This is our third stay at heathside lodges and i'm sure we'll be back. it's a wonderful location and the lodges are so comfortable we have a really relaxing time.
Melanie from Ilford (01 December 2017)

Fantastic break, we will be booking again for 2018! excellent service, little touches were great :- toddler cutlery and dishes, list of local restaurants and takeaways all made to make our stay more enjoyable!

Emma (13 November 2017)

A warm welcome at reception and comfortable beds.
Robert from Milton Keynes (10 November 2017)

We stayed in lodge16 one of the new blyth premier lodges. Lovely lodge with all you could need. The bathrobes, hot tub slippers & toiletries were a very nice touch and everything was spotless. Have recommended to friends and family and would definitely go back.
Simon from Cotswolds (10 November 2017)

A four day break in indifferent weather. Easy to check in and unload, helpful & friendly welcome and guide to the lodge. All very clean and welcoming. Hot tub was monitored daily, and was excellent!. spacious grounds, including a surprisingly good 'nature trail'. first class shop, open all day, used by locals too - good prices & helpful staff, and a good range of items - you could manage buying from here only if you wished-local suppliers for such as bread etc. Overall, seemed well cared fo, and good value.(our lodge was only 4 weeks old!)
Stephen from Colchester (10 November 2017)

Nice place to stay, a bit remote.
Martin (06 November 2017)

We visited heathside lodges for the sixth time. And we still love it.
Hettie from The Hague, The Netherlands (04 November 2017)

Booked a 5 day break. The lodge and hot tub were excellent. The park is pristine and the staff were fantastic. My only complaint would be the local area, althiugh is very picturesque does not have alot to do. We had to travel to great yarmouth to enjoy the seaside feel. However this would not stop me from recommending the park and I am looking forward to returning soon.
Stephen from Birmingham (03 November 2017)

We had a lovely relaxing time. Its a beautiful spot and a stunning part of the country. The lodges are toasty warm and the beds are comfy. Most of the things we needed were provided, our only issue was as it was chilly outside we sat inside mostly and the sofa wasn't that spacious for the two of us for long. But its a minor thing and we most definitely recommend a stay. The food at the queens head in blyford was superb..wish we had found it at the start of our stay
Suzanne from Mojacar Spain (03 November 2017)

The only drawback is that you can't park outside your lodge to unload
Jacqueline from Belper (03 November 2017)

Very warm welcome and fantastic lodge. Excellent location and we all had an amazing weekend. Thank you. We would strongly recommend lodge and we will be back soon!
Helen from Norwich (30 October 2017)

Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and quiet getaway. Plenty of room in the 6 sleeper lodges which were well equipped and very luxurious. Hot tub was lovely and warm and very enjoyable even at the end of october. The surroundings are lovely with lots of space for families to play outside as well quiet walks. Small shop on site which had a range of goods at reasonable prices. Stayed with female family for a girly getaway but will definitely return with my young family soon.
Jessica from Bury St Edmunds (30 October 2017)

Just love this place and the area. Do need transport to get around.
Lynn from Derby (30 October 2017)

We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. she talked us through our lodge, how to use the hot tub, the local pubs, places to eat and things to do. I would definitely recommend it. the location was close to the beach and other activities and the facilities were as described. the lodges looked new and even has a fresh wood smell. Fantastic weekend away, thanks.
Rachel from Essex (30 October 2017)

We had a lovely weekend away. Great location, local pub was good and southwold is a short drive away. It's our second visit and we will be staying again the next time we need a well earned break!
Caroline from Soham (30 October 2017)

We have stayed at heathside on numerous occasions and each time we have absolutely loved it. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their staff. It is a great place to relax and unwind. If you know how many times we have stayed there we would be interested to know. We will be booking for 2018 very soon. Thank you so much karen and jim
Judith from Harlow (28 October 2017)

I needed peace and quiet and a place to relax and I got it. Worth every penny. The site shop was brilliant not your typical captive audience shop. Lots of bargains nothing over priced. The owners and staff were lovely, the lodge was beautiful and spacious, no clutter with underfloor heating and the private jucuzzi was beautiful. A visit worth while if you drive out is southwold pier truly stunning, great pubs with great food! we loved our stay and will be back.
Lorraine from Bristol (27 October 2017)

Our second time staying here. Both times had a lovely experience. The staff are very friendly and approachable. A perfect relaxing trip away!
Confirmed Holidaymaker (27 October 2017)

This was my first time away with my kids. Wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as the pictures but it was actually nicer. Saw reviews on the hot tubs saying they were too small but us 3 adults and 2 kids fitted in fine! staff were very friendly, on site shop was handy and very cheap. The lodge it’s self was massive and had plenty room. Lots of towels and very modern furnishings. Will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer period! my only thing that I would say could be improved is the door locks on the inside are twist and unlock and when you have an escapee artist son like mine it’s not very handy. Apart from that 10/10!
Emma from Fife (20 October 2017)

What a lovely lodge in a great destination.
Beverley (20 October 2017)

Brilliant we had a wonderful break. The lodge is beautiful, very clean with everything you need

Me and my partner had a lovely weekend in our lodge which we both thought was lovely the hot tub was amazing. We are already looking at coming again for another weekend.
Donna from Erith (09 October 2017)

Fantastic break, loved every minute. The lodge was simple and beautifull. Everything was spotless. Staff friendly. Hot tub lovely and clean. Can't wait to go back
Peter from Bedfordshire (09 October 2017)

Beautiful lodge & hot tub! staff very helpful on arrival showing us to our lodge & how everything worked. Couldn't fault the site. Had a little shop. Should of done my research before to see what was around the area as there wasn't too much to do- but meant more time to relax in the hot tub!
Kerry from Essex (09 October 2017)

Fabulous and relaxing
Rebecca (09 October 2017)

Lovely cosy lodge, set in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. We expected slightly better quality of kitchen ware was very basic for a luxury lodge compared to other lodges we have used but managed to get by. Short drive to bigger towns southwold is a must
Anne from Hampshire (07 October 2017)

My boyfriend and I had a lovely break, very impressed with the lodge, spotlessly clean and very spacious. Hot tub was a very welcome bonus, and the surroundings were lovely and quiet.
Emily from Norwich (06 October 2017)

Very lovely and relaxing. Only one issue, was unable to get a good nights sleep due to the amount of light coming in from the neighbours light from the front door light. Would suggest black out blinds/ curtains hen it would have been perfect!!
Samantha from Norfolk (06 October 2017)

Great lodges. Very spacious. Has everything you need. hot tub a bonus. Lovely cheap well stocked shop on site. Staff very friendly. Would defenatly stay again and recommend to friends
Keith from Chesterfield (06 October 2017)

Our 2nd visit to this site and will definitely visit again. A great place to visit the suffolk coastline and surrounding area.
Louise (06 October 2017)

Another fabulous stay at heathside lodges. Never disappointed. Lodges lovely. Hot tub lovely. Staff always so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Mandy from Chelmsford (02 October 2017)

We came and stayed for short weekend was lovely with 4 kids under 5 we loved it and will book for next year 100 per cent , my brother and brother in law are also in the process of booking , thanks
Lennie from Rayleigh (02 October 2017)

Great holiday. Will be back :)
Matthew (02 October 2017)

The main criticism we had was that the hot tub (to our knowledge) was not regularly checked, if at all. We have been on many similar holidays and the hot tubs have always been checked/topped up with chemicals on a daily basis. We needed to call for assistance later in the week because the water had gone green. The staff were very friendly but we strongly feel this situation could’ve been avoided if stricter measures were put in place.
Ian (02 October 2017)

We had a great time with lots to do
Ellen from Kent (02 October 2017)

The lodges are very new and as such the landscape still young. Small trees do not give much privacy to the hot tub. Found the hot tub a little difficult to get into for a smaller person. would have preferred a washing machine to a dishwasher. Found the sofa uncomfortable.
John from Manchester (30 September 2017)

We had a really lovely holiday. We loved the lodge and the location. My only criticism is that we were not allowed to get a tesco delivery of food which was rather inconvenient as we had a car full of other items.
Sophie (29 September 2017)

Surprised my partner for a 4 night get away. Had a brilliant time and neither of us wanted to leave. Would definitely stay again.
Holly from Norwich (29 September 2017)

Excellent- definitely recommend
Elisha (29 September 2017)

Fantastic weekend
Tracy from Sudbury (25 September 2017)

Was a perfect getaway for my birthday. Both me and my partner needed a nice peaceful weekend away. Couldn't fault the location or the lodge. Was better than what I could ever imagine it would be. Only downfall was more utensils for cooking. While we were there we were already talking about booking again.
Rebecca from Middlesex (25 September 2017)

Beautiful lodge, decorated to such a high standard, very comfortable. in a very quiet location, which is stunning for a peaceful break. the three donkeys are an added bonus. very helpful staff. immaculate site, and the private hot tubs are gorgeous.
Zoe from Stroud (23 September 2017)

Really happy with our week away, especially as on offer. Lodges were only few weeks old so everything was still virtually new. Short drive into southwold or other seaside towns, lots to explore nearby. Lots of open space in front of our lodges so uninterrupted view. Loved the 3 donkeys kept on site.
Sharon from Biggleswade (23 September 2017)

Very comfortable high spec accommodation in a peaceful setting. Would definitely go back
Amanda (22 September 2017)

A very relaxing, enjoyable break, in delightful surroundings.
Stephen from Cricklade, Wiltshire (22 September 2017)

Excellent ran site
Marie (22 September 2017)

It as nice to find the lodge nice and clean on our arrival. quiet site and although local pub not too far if you going at the tim of year when the vending so are dark you would need to drive there as n street lighting.
Vivien from Herne Bay (22 September 2017)

The lodge was lovely and a great hot tub. very comfortable for 6 of us. lodges are a bit close together so not private. the owner made sure we realised it costs a lot of money to refill the hot tub every change of user!! he also hammered the point home of not leaving the outside lights on and also said he was worried that if all 6 of us got into the hot tub the water may come out over the top due to the size of us!
Diane from South Norfolk (22 September 2017)

Very new cabin , very comfortable, clean, spacious and surpassed expectations. ,the hot tub was the icing on the cake .
Denis from London (18 September 2017)

These log cabins continue to give us a fabulous holiday each year
Beryl (15 September 2017)

Very clean, neat and tidy lodge. Well kept site and very quiet as we went in september. All staff helpful and welcoming. No issues. Thank you :)
Suzanna from Peterborough (11 September 2017)

Lovely location. quiet and well kept. close to southwold, aldeburgh and the other highlights of the suffolk coast. beautiful new luxurious lodges. friendly, well stocked and reasonably priced shop on site. helpful and welcoming staff
Nick from Tonbridge (09 September 2017)

Lovely place , very clean , everything that you need !
Wendy from Spalding (04 September 2017)

Pretty location but poorly lit at night so much so that other people were knocking on our door at night because they couldn't differentiate between the lodges! . there aren't many walkways to each lodge so we had to walk across wet grass to get to ours!. . inside was lovely and clean however there was an empty packet of biscuits in the twin bedroom cupboard. The fridge wasn't particularly clean neither was some of the crockery and the kettle really should be replaced as there was a lot of limescale build-up around the lid and spout. . . the pillows were also a little flat. . by and large a positive experience, impressed with the heating, bathrooms, cupboard space, number of towels provided and dressing gowns. The lodge was clean, hot tub great and beds comfortable!
Sharon from Colchester (04 September 2017)

An excellent holiday. Facilities and location are both superb. My two autistic children didn't want to leave the site some days as the lure of the hot tub was so enticing. . when we did go out and about, the suffolk coastline offered many fantastic experiences for the whole family. . . we have already re-booked for next year! we worth it. Best holiday we have had in years.
Mark from Colchester, Essex (02 September 2017)

Another fabulous holiday at heathside lodges
Phil (01 September 2017)

Loved the lodge and hot tub and location. My only criticism was the single beds are very narrow and the long mirror was very strange.
Valerie from Haverhill (28 August 2017)

The best way I can describe it is "ok". . . a bit on the expensive side for what it was, we have stayed in nicer lodges for less money in the past. a little bit disappointing and missing some of the touches that are appreciated, and we have had elsewhere in the past - i.e. Proper tea and coffee rather than sachets and milk in the fridge. there also weren't enough dishwasher tablets for our stay and only one bin liner - I think for premium the price they could have managed enough for one dishwasher tablet per day .. . . I was also disappointed that the only interaction we had with any members of staff all weekend was to be told to turn our outside lights off, and no one came to tend to the hot tub at all the entire time we were there. . . the lodge was a bit of a novelty due to the design, but we found these all a bit crammed together, with a severe lack of privacy - having to keep the window in the bathroom shut when trying to shower, and the curtains completely drawn when getting dressed!. . all in all, i'm sorry to say that I think this one isn't worth the money - consider using a different park.
Kelly from Essex (28 August 2017)

Fantastic lodges , location , only fault was mattress on bed needed changing ,
Tracy from Cambridge (28 August 2017)

Excelllent peaceful surroundings, good quality lodges, most spacious we have ever stayed in. Really enjoyed the spa
Susan from Clacton On Sea (26 August 2017)

We had a lovely stay. the lodges were very comfortable and very well equipped. it was peaceful overall, although, having taken lodge holidays before, we felt that the lodges were more packed together than on previous sites we've stayed at so felt a little less private. Notwithstanding this we had a lovely time.
Maria from Willerby, Hull, East Yorkshire (26 August 2017)

We really like the site, the location & the lodges. . the staff were also very helpful & friendly. Our only criticism was the cooking equipment in the kitchen. Some of it had seen better days & there wasn't really enough. With a young family staying, eating out all the time is not an option, so it is important that the kitchens are well enough equipped to cook proper meals.
Gillian from Stourbridge (25 August 2017)

Fantastic location and lodge. Far exceeded expectations. Loads to do and see in the local area. The lodge was spotlessly clean and kitted out with everything needed. Very helpful staff for any quieres. Would like to go back.
Tony from Weybridge (21 August 2017)

Fabulous time again. Lovely clean lodges, very comfortable and peaceful. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Thank you!
Helen from Chelmsford (19 August 2017)

During the school holidays I was working every single weekend and so we could only manage a few days away midweek as a family. I wanted to make it a very comfortable experience for us and so paid a lot more than we normally would for a full week for four days at heathside lodges. the two main draws for us were that it was in beautiful rural suffolk, near aldrburgh and southwold, and it had a hot tub. well the hot tub was gorgeous - I virtually had to prise my wife and son out of it to go home. the lodge itself was well appointed, but not quite as luxurious as I had expected with the amount we had paid. But all in all we had a very comfortable time in a beautiful, sylvan setting.
Michael from Laindon (18 August 2017)

Lovely lodge, spacious and clean. Nice setting very peaceful.
Tracey from Rotherham (18 August 2017)
