Caron from Thetford Norfolk (10 October 2016)

Good location for sight seeing the area
John from Stockport (07 October 2016)

T he caravan was not very clean , oven dirty, toilet smelling ,bedroom smelling ,floors, furniture not cleaned very well, net curtains required washing.i only stayed there three nights and I was glad to get of the site. I will never go there again. I should have complained there and then but I was not in the correct mood to to so.i have sent a letter to the site manager.also I would appreciate it if your company stops sending me any more e mails. thank you f.gribbin
Christina from Not Applicable (26 September 2016)

Excellent
Richard from Bracknell (23 September 2016)

Lovely location and adequate accommodation but the pool was closed for half our visit and the restaurant wouldn't serve breakfast despite it being advertised and also closed randomly throughout the day.
Serena from Reading (23 September 2016)

Very clean caravan. The pool does not open until 10am for children to allow adults swimming time. As it is a family site, feel that children should be allowed in at 9am.
Jean from Banstead (19 September 2016)

Had a very good holiday
Margaret (17 September 2016)

Very relaxed holiday weather excellent which helped make the holiday even better.
Ann from Connah'S Quay (17 September 2016)

Excellent holiday in a lovely area, very lucky with the weather too
Christopher from Norwich (09 September 2016)

A very good holiday in a comfortable setting
Helen from Cheltenham (09 September 2016)

Very pleasantly surprised with the caravan, although a little bit on the old side very clean and roomy, there were 3 adults and 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 9 , we rented a 3 bed room that could sleep up to 8. The park is small and friendly and we were lucky to have fantastic weather and so spent a lot of time in the outdoor pool which although could do with some some tender love and care was very clean and so warm. The grandkids loved the entertainment and the local little fairground which is just the right size for them at there age. Altogether we had a great time and would certainly return just think it needs a bit of paint and tlc.
Maria from Southampton (02 September 2016)

Caravan was dirty upon arrival, especially bathroom. Requested it to be cleaned at reception no staff arrived. . . bedding was clean but all beds were too small and uncomfortable. Site is not very well lit at night and access roads are narrow with no organised routes so cars can't pass each other easily, needs a one way system introduced. . . site is situated just too far from beech to walk particularly with young children, hence you have drive and parking charges are not cheap for a short stay. . . it was very expensive for a three night break considering the facilities of both caravan and site.
Mario from Essex (29 August 2016)

Facilities were good, both swimming pools were heated and clean changing areas
Kelly (29 August 2016)

Thexper camp and the staff were great the only let down was the pool and changing rooms were appalling
Alison from Norwich (27 August 2016)

We were a mum and dad with their daughter and her three children, the week-end worked out really well, but we did really feel that our car was an essential part of the holiday for us!. all the staff that we met were very expert and quick to offer help. Thank you all we had a great time. David and ellen. And the family
Aj from Chessington, Surrey (22 August 2016)

We stayed at hayling island for a full week and we absolutely loved every minute of it. The people and staff there we so friendly and helpful. It wasn't over packed like other caravan resorts are, we had beautiful weather while we were there so the outdoor swimming pool was an added bonus. We travelled for 6 hours to get there but it was well worth it, we will definetly be doing it again :-) we normally go abroad every year but we have just had a baby and also had 2 other children so we were very happy we decided to go here, thanks again for a fab week xx
Michael from Hartlepool (22 August 2016)

Camp was lovely and clean and we had a great stay
Jacqueline (15 August 2016)

Out sightseeing. Lots of places to visit see and do. just didnt want to spend time on this caravan site.
Alison from Felixstowe (15 August 2016)

We loved our caravan z6 it was well equipped and clean. The restaurant on site served good food although a bit pricey. It was nice to have costa coffee there. The shop was well equipped and priced well. We enjoyed the outside pool although the changing rooms stank of urine. We did tell reception staff. We enjoyed the bingo. The entertainment was ok I would say. One night they played a game show game which was awful. It involved 2 people running up to give the answers. The staff should have controlled it better. All in all a good place to explore portsmouth and a trip to the isle of wight.
Lisa (12 August 2016)

Caravan toilet leaked every time flushed not good with 3 kids and 2 adults boiler wouldn't work on arrival and I had to start it on two other occasions. Was not happy that my wife could not take our 3 children in the pool by herself but it was ok for 2 adults to take 5children into the pool and only 2 channels working on the tv
Darren from Saltdean (12 August 2016)

The park need more entertainment facilities and activities for the children, we found a member of the entertainment staff quite rude and sarcastic to one of our children and abrupt to other's, but other than that the rest of the team on site were very helpful and intuitive
Ian from Bexhill (12 August 2016)

Very good holiday. Would come back in a heartbeat
Sharlot from Southampton (12 August 2016)

Really enjoyed our stay here, lovely entertainment for the children and adults. Staff were brilliant and helpful, our caravan was clean and close to the facilities. 100% satisfied with our stay thank you
Richard from Rainham Kent (06 August 2016)

On paying extra £ 50 for early arrival , caravan was not cleaned to satisfactory requirements , bed linen was dirty. We was offered to move but we declined , a voucher was presented to us by management for the value of £50 to use in the camps restaurant, which was also of poor quality !. . the clubhouse at night was very loud which went on to midnight, campers would then pass our caravan disrespectful of other people sleeping, fighting, racism and swearing would then break out , which was disturbing for our children to experience ! . . the swimming pool, very nice pool , few issues need to be addressed, bigger children that should not be in toddlers pool causing upset to my young son, should be asked to be removed, hard balls being thrown around swimming pool.spa not working, we work hard all year to enjoy our holiday , facilities as quoted in the brochure should be functional .
Rick from Aylesford Kent (05 August 2016)

We had an amazing week in a stunning lodge. Kids loved it. So did we.
Katy from Ampthill (05 August 2016)

Very overpriced. The caravan that we stayed in hadn't been cleaned. Cheese all over the seating area, egg all over the cutlery and frying pan. Walls, skirtings and doors all dirty. Had to clean before we even unpacked. Evening entertainment disappointing, main entrance bar uninviting.
Andy from Orpington (30 July 2016)

Had a lovely week my grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment. a good base for the places we wanted to visit in the area. the only negative was we were one of the closes vans to the back of the club house and the music was very loud, especially as we had to be back because of having young children with us.
Julie from Crawley, West Sussex (29 July 2016)

A good bus service. Plenty of varied activities for children. Comfortable accommodation.
Derek (29 July 2016)

Had a lovely family break away and would definitely return to hayling island. Ideal spot for a visit to peppa pig world too.
Ryan from Newton Abbot (18 July 2016)

Had a lovely caravan just wish there was abit more to do on the island its self but would go again as did alot it portsmoth
Charlotte from Colchestet (15 July 2016)

Had a great holiday at hayling island. It's a small site but the kids had a great time, (if the kids r happy i'm happy). we had a problem with the caravan and the lovely lady at reception sorted us out with another caravan whilst we were out for the day. Would defo go bck.
Steven from Wrexham (11 July 2016)

Overall the site was lovely, found the on site shop a little expensive. Caravan was lovely.
Nicola from Stockport (08 July 2016)

We had a lovely 5 day caravan break. The staff were very quick to first clean a smelly fridge within 2 minutes of me calling, then they replaced it with a new one when we requested it. The team there were very helpful and friendly. The entertainment was really good every evening. The blonde lady had a stunning voice. Our kids loved the magician and the play areas. The swimming pool was a good size, the kids loved going in all 3 of the pools. It was not far from the beach. Overall we had a really great time.
Dawn from Reading (24 June 2016)

Had a lovely stay at hayling island mobile home was very comfortable and clean. booking in at reception was met with a very warm and friendly welcome. didn't use the facilities at the campsite but that was mainly due to everyone had nasty colds and was exhausted after days excursions. went into the restaurant/bar to download on wfi once and was served by a very pleasant member of staff. the food that was served to other customers looked very good and the prices seemed to be reasonable. We used the site as a base to get around portsmouth area as there is lots to see and do went to dockyard and visited museums easy to get to isle of wight. Would certainly use the site again if I was visiting portsmouth area.
Lynda from Penzance (18 June 2016)

The caravan was old and seating and beds very uncomfortable. Gas boiler kept going out. . would stay again but would try to upgrade.
Pauline (17 June 2016)

Caravan was ok but abit small, have had bigger and better ones for the price
Michelle from Portsmouth (13 June 2016)

Lovely caravan, however the area didn't have much in the way of entertainment, the extra activities on site had age limitations on them so we couldn't take part.
Kelly (03 June 2016)

Good site. Not too large.
Frank from Castleford West Yorkshire (03 June 2016)

Great place for families really enjoyed stay. Staff on check in were vague and not that helpful however after that all staff excellent. The pool area changing rooms were not clean. The entertainment for the children was excellent . will come back
Gill (30 May 2016)

Not much for the children to do . . kids pool very small. . poor quality of mantiene in caravan . . basic nothing special
Christine from Fleet (20 May 2016)

This is the first time we stayed at this site and would definitely come back. Caravan was clean, modern & comfortable.
Louise (16 May 2016)

Site not full so a bonus.
Joan from Sheringham (16 May 2016)

The site was pleasant enough but the pool was not as user friendly as others we have visited.
Chris from Wallasey (06 May 2016)

We love the park
Sally from Portchester (18 April 2016)

Well maintained park. They had torrential rain the day we arrived and everything was swimming in mud but they laid a few slabs so we could get to the caravan. Helpful staff.
Alison from Nottingham (15 April 2016)

No much at the camp site if you did not like being in the camp bar. Caravans are tightly packed so again not much on the site. The island is worth visiting but do not expect this to consume a lot of your time
Marc from Lutterworth (09 April 2016)

The site is cramped. our caravan was near the club house and it was so loud, it kept our children awake until midnight every night. the pool is far too small to service that many guests. we were having to wait to use it and then having limited swimming times and that was at the beginning of april. I dread to think what it's like during the summer! the toilets and changing areas of the pool were shabby and dirty. the caravan was very clean and well equipped. the only positive really.
Joanne from Wantage (04 April 2016)

Lots to see and do in this location with easy reach to lovely coastline. Walks and scenary. . we enjoyed day out trips to southampton, portsmouth, chichester and many other small towns and villages around the coast. . we had a weeks stay and could have stayed longer.
Carl from Ellesmere Port Cheshire (16 November 2015)

We had a wonderful time. The caravan was lovely and clean and the staff were extremely helpful.
Stacey from Cox (21 September 2015)

We had a modern clean caravan which was nicely positioned close to the amenities. the pool and changing rooms were dirty and dated. The onsite takeaway closed very early as did the shop. The staff were friendly but the entertainment was limited.

Our aim was really to visit portsmouth docks we did use the camp restaurant which was satisfactory the layout of the camp was neat and tidy & clean the staff we had dealings with were very polite & helpful. In all very good.
Alan from Luton Bedfordshire (12 September 2015)

Caravan's were very close together. We had a lot of cars driving past and the bedrooms were on the road side, so it was quite noisy. The caravan was quite dirty and tired looking, bedrooms were very dusty, floors needed a good scrub, the washing up bowl was disgusting and the iron had bear wires sticking out and something had been melted on the plate, took them both up to the reception desk and asked for new ones, which they did quite quickly, also kitchen equipment wasn't very clean, had to wash everything before you could use it. We didn't use the facilities much, but looked ok. The only good things were the toilets, sinks, shower and bedding was very clean, but wasn't worth the money we paid for it, so sorry but we will definitely not go back.

The family & I had a great week. food was good, staff were great. the only thing I would say is that everything felt alittle cramp and squeezed in. we had an 8 berth caravan but only enough space to park 1 vehicle (not all of us have a minibus) and the main carpark consists of approx 20 spaces which was permantely full and we were told you cant keep extra cars in the overflow carpark overnight. . apart from the space issue, all in all we had a great time and the kids loved the pools too.

On the whole it was good the only thing that we felt let the holiday down was the food we had from the on site restaurant. . we had steak with chips thought the steak was cooked more than our request and felt that the chips and onion rings had been cooked once and the re heated for serving, this left the onion rings and chips a bit hard. . on a positive note we felt the enterainment was of a very good standard, the entertainment covered all age groups and not just todays young adults. The staff were also very pleasant and friendly.
Debra from Slough (28 August 2015)

Although the caravan was nice and the pool facilities was good hayling island was disappointing. It is very residential with no south holiday costal vibe at all. If we had booked more than 5 days i'd have been checking out early requesting a refund. . finally, we bought fish n chips on the site which was the worst meal ever! the fish was tougher than beef well done and I had a tummy upset for 4 days after and I only ate a third of it.

The site was useless for a 9 year old and 16 year old nothing for them to do swimming pools small and a token jesture of amusements
Cheryl from Norwich (15 August 2015)

We stay for 7nights in a wheelchair friendly caravan. The van was next door to all amenities and even the park. The swimming pool was lovely and never crowded. We ate once at the chippy , but the chips were horrible. We paid £27. For 3 kids nuggets and chips and 2 burger and chips . we ate out off hayling island at hungry horse. That was lovely. The funfair is really good , the kids had an unlimited wrist band for £7. The beach is only pebbles but you can walk to the right and come to a sandy beach only if the tide has gone out. We went to south shore in portsmouth, that is a lovely place to visit.
Jan from Telford (15 August 2015)

We had 2 caravans that were supposed to be fairly new but in reality they were lacklustre and well worn.

Lots to do on site great for the kids. Slightly disappointing that certain kids clubs were not run due to lack of interest. Thought the music choice for kids disco was not very good as most the kids had no idea what the songs were! steps and s club 7 were around when I was a kid. Overal tho a lovely sight and a great time was had.

An all round good family holiday
Robert from Gosport (01 August 2015)

Enjoyed the stay.everywhere was clean.however I did not feel that the price we paid was far too expensive for the standard of caravan we had and the facilities on offer.

We were very happy with our accommodation and the pool which we got to use only once unfortunately. We were not in our van a lot as we had family close by and spent time with them. But for our needs was ideal.

We loved it so much we bought ourselves a static home there. Downside was the caravan we stayed in, used sanitary towel in the bin, light fixing fell off whilst we were out and the catch that keeps the door open on hot days melted off-it was very loose anyway.
Laura from Andover Hants (20 July 2015)

Cheap and cheerful. Staff rude and bored stiff to be there especially lifeguard who we nicknamed mr friendly-not. Used as a base to explore-outside pool was an asset if not a bit let down by mr friendly-not

Great weekend in a lovely caravan.took our granddaughter 21 months she loved the childrens entertainment.great indoor and outdoor pool.
Keith from Swindon (13 July 2015)

This was the second time we visited hayling island. And again we loved it. We travel from ayr, scotland and it's worth the journey. Great caravan, great park. Kids were gutted that sid and lizzie did not appear together the whole time we were there which is a shame for the kids. But overall they enjoyed their stay. The only disappointment really was the low stock of sid and lizzie toys. A lot of the stuff the kids wanted they had none left. Friendly, fun holiday park and we will be back again. :) barry-jon was fantastic with the kids too!

Lovely location for a short holiday. also very handy for visiting portsmouth
Graham from Birmingham (10 July 2015)

Stayed here for 4 nights because it was convenient for visiting portsmouth museums etc. And price was discounted. Unfortunately the passenger ferry from hayling island to portsmouth is no longer operating so had to drive to portsmouth each day - I recommend using the park and ride it is convenient and far cheaper than parking in portsmouth or southsea. . the caravan was clean and well equipped but the site is the most characterless and uninviting I have ever stayed at with uniform rows of caravans so cannot recommend it

Bins around the complex were overflowing and smelly. . it's aimed at families but there were two couples in the caravan next to us who were noisy and swearing and shouting at from 10pm until 1am, nothing was done by site security until I phoned them and complained. It's not what I want my two young children to be exposed to and kept awake by. this is the main reason I wouldn't use your sites again.
Susanna (29 June 2015)

We did read some of the negative reviews so was a little rettiscent.however we found our caravan clean, staff very helpful and the site quiet.very attractive area.will definitely book again.

The site is clean tidy with a bus stop outside the gate. Good facilities nice pool entertainment average bingo etc. Nice and flat for those with mobility problems. Light bulbs in our accommodation needed replacing frequent bus service

The caravan was situated about 12feet from the exceedingly busy main road onto the island. Traffic noise was unbearable and the only lull seemed to be between 02:00 & 04:00 . we came home 1 day early because of it. Also the layout of the van was not as good as ones we had in the past, with the double bedroom space rather poor.
Penelope from Bratton (20 June 2015)

We had a fab time at hayling island as a family of three. The location was amazing - only about 15 minute walk to the beach/funland. Big pool on site (although slightly too cold for our 18 month old) . we had a lovely time and were very fortunate with the weather.

Had a great time at hayling island, the first night was a little bit noisy due to a rally but the noise didn't go on for too long. The food is great, beds are comfy, shower in accommodation was wonderful. Did not expect freesat, so it was a welcome surprise. The only 'negative' was that the tumble dryes don't dry very well. Other than that hayling island is a great place to stay, a great base for local attractions
Mary from Canterbury (05 June 2015)

Well located for visits to portsmouth and chichester. didn't really use many of the facilities. looked like a good pool. caravan although basic was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Entertainment 1st class great for kids too
Paul from Paignton (30 May 2015)

Play park too small for the amount of children wanting to use it. Quite a walk to pebble beach or had to pay in car park to stay on beach all day. Okay for touring area.
