Good place nice caravan enjoyed our stay
Lyn from East Sussex (13 April 2018)

Caravan not ready on arrival and had to wait till 5pm. Swimming pool closed on the tuesday for the whole day . caravan dirty. Mud ! everywhere - couldn’t get to our caravan with stepping through a lot of mud. Mud in the pool changing rooms
Tracy from Port Talbot (13 April 2018)

Enjoyed our weekend 5 adults and 3 children . . lots to do even though the weather was not good
Michele (09 April 2018)

We were disappointed with the limited kids activities/clubs on offer and were expecting a few more sports options to be available (both indoors as well as outdoors in case of wet weather). . due to bad weather, we spent most of our time indoors either in the caravan or in the games kiosk, restaurant, soft play room, or the entertainment room. we felt the site hub was quite small in size and the entertainment catered more for the younger kids, although the staff tried their best to keep the little ones entertained with the limited resources they had.
Samaira from Surrey (06 April 2018)

The staff at the entertainment complex were truly amazing. There weren't many families at the park at the time so everyone did their best to entertain my kids. My girls absolutely loved the games, drawing and colouring. They even received a personalised certificate at the end of the session. We couldn't be happier with the experience we had. We'll definitely come back in summer.
Jessica from Thatcham (23 March 2018)

Arrived on friday night, no running water, hubby managed to sort this but then the kitchen sink was blocked, reported to security & was told someone be round to sort it, when we left on monday morning it was still blocked !!!
Anthony from Bristol (12 March 2018)

Nice comfy caravan. Great location
Marilyn (17 November 2017)

Excellent place and service very nice food too
Nicholas from Perth (10 November 2017)

We stayed a week after the october half term so the day time activities was reduced as not many children around. The sand art and the chocolate party were fun. The evening children’s activities were ok, on the sunday the family quiz started too late. Need to spend less time on the games. The dance floor was very small. The indoor swimming pool was lovely and warm. The changing rooms need updating - we all had to vacate during one of our swims and we had to wait to use the changing room. The amusement arcade needs improvement as many of the games were broken. The troupers tried their best but I have seen better at other parkdean resorts. . when we arrived in the dark the signs to the car park were very confusing- apparently the car park has caravans on it!! . the carpet and chairs of the entertainment centre need replacing - very dirty. . the soft play was brilliant but also needs a deep clean - and the netting needs to be replaced. We spent some of our time putting the balls back into the ball pit. . my wife and I shared a indian platter which was nice but the menu stated breads but we were only given one for the two of us to share! also given three chicken pakoras between the two of us. We asked about the free ice cream for my daughter which was advertised on the menu and the original staff member was not wanting to give it to us, but luckily one of her colleagues said we were able to have it.
Robert from Crawley (06 November 2017)

We enjoyed staying at gayling island simply because it gave us easy access to other places around. We did not enjoy the noise from the main road though as our caravan was next to this.
Haydn from Rhyl (04 November 2017)

The accommodation was lovely just the reception staff were rude! . the entertainment wasn’t great either!! not doing certain things as not a lot of kid about but I paid for a holiday and if it’s advertised it should be on.
Gemma from Burnley (03 November 2017)

Would have scored 10's but van had no central heating although we were given a radiator for the living area so there wasn't any problem, staff were friendly and helpful, and the house keeping came round the day after we arrived to check all was well,
Susan (03 November 2017)

We had a pleasant stay in hayling island, the park is ideal location and not far from local towns and attractions. The park is well kept and the club house is adiquite, food in the restaurant was fantastic. Our caravan was well located but we where disappointed with the cleanliness of it, I had to clean the bathroom floors as they where filthy and smaller of urine and it needed a good hoover and dust but other than that it was warm and comfortable and that was all we needed for a place to sleep with a busy scedual.
Sophie from Bridgend (03 November 2017)

Our caravan was comfortable. We were very near to the club and it was very noisy until late at night. The location of the site was disappointing, not particularly near the beach or anything of interest - no pleasant walks.
Elizabeth from Slough (27 October 2017)

We found the whole holiday very relaxing. The accommodation was very good and clean. Your staff there were excellent and very very helpful. My grandsons who were aged three six and eight enjoyed the entertainment , swimming pool and the soft play area. it was are first time on hayling island and we did trips to the docklands in portsmouth which was only few miles away and to staunton park again only a few miles away. The children loved the little railway on the seafront at hayling island. We were only there for five days but we will be centainly be returning. Thank you.
Shannette from Brighton (20 October 2017)

Overall we were impressed with our stay at hayling island. Only real issue was the that when we reported a broken shelf in fridge it didnt get sorted otherwise we were happy with the caravan and the services on site. Would definitely stay again
Jenna from Liskeard/Cornwall (20 October 2017)

Everywhere was very well kept.
Helen from Rugby (09 October 2017)

Really enjoyed our stay, everything was spot on for us. Lovely location. It was a return to the area after 40 years for me so that made it extra special. Keep up the good work.
Angela from Boston (06 October 2017)

Nice break on site was brilliant! bit too far for me to walk to tbe beach so car n parking charges was my only issue
Jim from London (02 October 2017)

Absolutely brilliant. Would definitely book again.
Alvy from Guildford Surrey. (29 September 2017)

The worst holiday I have been on in regards of things to do. it seems that hayling island and its attractions hibernate from beginning september. tried the show at the site, they were still playing childrens games at past 9pm, very boring for older people who were waiting for the show advertised. On first day amusement machines were not working to give change, and no one visible to help. Admit caravan was comfortable and clean no problems in that area, but not many people about either. travelled to portsmouth to get some entertainment
Linda from Margate (22 September 2017)

Although we asked for a non smoking caravan, everything in the main bedroom stank of stale cigarette smoke.
Customer 22 (22 September 2017)

Excellent stay, lovely park
Jessica from Dover (04 September 2017)

It would be good if the restaurant did take away as we were unable to use the restaurant due to having a dog with us.
Johanna from Ashford (02 September 2017)

Would have been nice to sit and have a drink with my cigarette at a table outside. Instead of just standing in a corner. . dart board was in club house so could not play as children running around. Pool facilities had to que at main reception. Would have been nice to be able to buy a drink at a kiosk instead of getting dressed amd walking into club house. But still had a fab holiday.
John (01 September 2017)

I stayed at hayling island at the beginning of august and the end of august. The site was lovely but the caravan standards have really let the park down. I was very dissapointed. After 2 years at hayling we won't be returning next year .
Lauren from Leamington Spa (01 September 2017)

Last minute holiday, caravan basic, not throughly clean and got bitten a few times by something, other than that good location and kids loved the pools
Clare from Bicester (01 September 2017)

Basic for the money paid
Matthew (01 September 2017)

The accomodation spec was not as high as the oakwood we stayed in last year, but I think we were just lucky our first stay. The toilet was not as clean as we would like and there was no toilet brush to clean the toilet during our stay. We love park resorts hayling island beach, funfair and supermarkets are so close. Great to have indoor and outdoor pools for all weathers.
Karen from Shepperton (28 August 2017)

Lovely caravan bit tatty considering age and found little broken glass on tea tray of all things but not worth reporting wiped down everywhere myself to be sure as had grandchildren with us,would have liked to have stayed extra two nights as had travelled from north wales to spend time with grandson but no flexibility it was the whole strategy week or nothing ended up staying at local hotel instead.
Adrian from Flintshire (28 August 2017)

Good holiday lovely caravan would stay here again.
Customer 31 from Hayes Middlesex (26 August 2017)

Quiet peaceful area with not much going on. More suited to elderly people.
Sarah from Stoke On Trent (26 August 2017)

Lovely location, easy to find. The caravan was clean. Would recommend getting the 3 bed caravan if there are 6 of you as the pull out sofa is very uncomfortable. Swimming. Lovely pool and life guards monitor closely for safety. They do a time limit on swimming (which we weren't told) which is great so you can us the pool as it's a smaller one but if your the last one on that colour wrist band you get 45 mins which is not long if you've got small ones to organise. There was obviously a mistake with wrists bands the first time we used the pool as they were calling colours out within 5 mins of each other and when arrived at the pool there were no ques or people rushing in after, so with 3 kids ( 8,2 and 9 months) the kids were freezing (2 year old had blue lips!) waiting for a changing room as very limited amount. Spoke to reception to find out what had happened, which is when we found out about the time limit and met a very rude women. When I said I wanted to make an actual complaint I was told a note would be made.. no actual complaint was submitted so never bothered with the staff after that. Entertainment was ok. They clearly had lots of engery and the kids seemed to enjoy it but making the kids scream down microphones and go on till around 9.30 for the show was a bit late for us so only went a couple of times.
Leonie from Kent (25 August 2017)

Good venue for families.
Derek from Liss (25 August 2017)

The holiday park was fantastic. There is not one bad thing that I have to say about the park. The park was clean, the caravan was brilliant and a lot newer than expected. The facilities were good and the kids loved it. Staff were brilliant as well.
Warren from Oxford (25 August 2017)

Park facilities not good and beach not near enough and nothing there. Shop stock poor therefore you need to drive to get choice of food
Sandra from Allington (25 August 2017)

Caravan clean and tidy, good service in bar and restaurant, would definetly return. Only criticism would be children's entertainment went on too late.
Paul (25 August 2017)

The holiday was great in general. The kids had a lovely enjoyable stay. Some areas such as the gym need a bit of tlc
Veronica from Hatfield (21 August 2017)

It was a good 3 days was a little disapointed as not much to do before 9am
Peter (21 August 2017)

A good park which was well maintained. Not much for older children on site.
Marion (21 August 2017)

Fantastic small holiday park , everything within walking distance , really great evening entertainment and swimming facilities
Shaun from Chatham (18 August 2017)

We had a great week, evening entertainment was very good. Caravan very comfortable, any problems were quickly sorted out.
Sharon from Oxford (18 August 2017)

We had a great time in a lovely chalet. The pool was just right for my 8 and 11 year olds as was funland down by the beach.
Andrew from Kent (18 August 2017)

Had a great short break, staff very friendly and helpful. Park was peaceful and well looked after. It is not a massive park so not ideal for some. The only downside for us was the size of the clubhouse, on all four nights of our stay arriving after 6pm to a full clubhouse. Not a problem for us but the kids wanted to watch the acts and were unable. aside from that we would definitely return.
Craig (18 August 2017)

As for the caravan the double bedroom was far too small. For two adults you cannot get dressed in the room as there was no room . I cant see how you can sell it as a double I slept in the double and the wife. slept in the single room
Robert from Fareham (14 August 2017)

Crap
James (12 August 2017)

On the whole we enjoyed our holiday but it was let down by the location of our caravan which was right next to the children's playground and the main reception/entertainment/swimming pool. This meant is was very noisy all day and night. the caravan was comfortable, apart from every movement in one end of caravan could be felt in the other. . the entertainment was disappointing which was aimed at children until 10pm when there was a 30-40 min act followed by karaoke or music videos. . . the park and facilities were clean and the staff friendly.
Louise from Northampton (12 August 2017)

Had a lovely holiday at hayling island. Would recommend a visit.
Luke from Dover Kent (11 August 2017)

Was the worst holiday ever left after 2 nights
Julie (04 August 2017)

Very bad weather.not a lot to do in area although enjoyed day at portsmouth docks
Karen from Bromsgrove (31 July 2017)

Two young children had a wonderful time
John (31 July 2017)

Fantastic holiday beautiful place very peaceful
Christine from West Midlands (29 July 2017)

Stunning park very quiet. Lovely walks. Not too far from shops. Friendly staff and friendly door staff. Shop on site
Adam from West Midlands (29 July 2017)

We came here for the first time and sadly will say it will definitely be the last. Things are very pricey for a start. The only shop on site closes at 8pm!! the small amusement section with 2ps were hardly ever filled up regularly and no one seems to be manning them unless you called them. Entertainments were always the same and mainly around kids even in the evenings. Not really much to do nearby either. Went to the beach nearby and it's all pebbles and there was such a dip between the water and the pebbles you couldn't even dip a toe in! our caravan was leaking through the small skylight when it rained and the oven door kept coming off every time you wanted to use it. Caravan didn't have much shelving space at all unless you were in the main room. No where to put toiletries either in the bathroom!
Claire from Reading (28 July 2017)

Generally a good holiday. The entertainment team were brilliant and made the holiday for all of us. Probably would go again.
Lyndsey from Oxford (28 July 2017)

Fabulous family break for peaceful time. All facilities within walking distance from caravan which was perfect for nana as nothing was a struggle . all staff really helpful and empathetic with exception of chip shop. . apparently gas wasn't working and had no chance of being fixed so once chips were ordered we had to wait 50 minutes for them to be cooked. They were pallid and looked raw so still not cooked although the fryers were on. Disappointed and bored with waiting for these. Staff not really bothered in chip shop so would not go I there again for hot food. Breakfasts on restaurant were best value and tastiest food on menu. Evening entertainment excellent . just needed bit more advertising maybe in reception what was happening. Son went on water activities which were excellent and brilliant value for money . better than any other parks we have stayed at. Would visit again
Kathy from East Malling Kent (28 July 2017)

Read very mixed reviews but we got a bargain late minute deal. Was not disappointed. Great facilities and ideal location for exploring, visiting new forest or isle of wight for a day trip. Caravan was great for the 8 of us.
Rebecca from Ipswich (28 July 2017)

Lovely helpful and friendly staff and facilities and accomodation were excellent.
Rachelle from Camberley (28 July 2017)

This was an amazing weekend with my children. They said it's the best holiday they have ever had! entertainment was great for kids and adults and all staff were so helpful and happy. Will definitely be back next year if not sooner.
Shelley from Weybridge (24 July 2017)

Generally the staff were very good and helpful however the reason for the score of 7 was we were disappointed with the response we received from one of the management staff dean. We were initially considering buying a holiday home on you're site. We spoke to the manager who was very nice and he handed us over to dean who showed us around a place that just come in. Because of the condition of it my partner suggested a reduction in the price on the condition we refurbish it. The response from dean was far from encouraging and left us feeling a little upset as we found him abrasive and lacking people skills, which was a shame. His attitude put us off totally and we didn't bother looking at any more homes and are planning on looking at other sites.
David from West Midlands (21 July 2017)

I was reasonably comfortable for the price. The island itself is really built up, we were expecting long walks in the country but it's intensely built. However there's the advantage of lots of places to eat, good food on campsite, but annoyingly the chip shop was closed all week.
Jacquie (21 July 2017)

No facilities for older children other than swimming pool. . reception staff rude and unhelpful. one called me darling!!!
Eilleen from Portsmouth (14 July 2017)

Brilliant
Martin (14 July 2017)

Excellent. Nice and quiet when we went for a short weekend. Could not fault the cleanliness of the site and the caravan. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend out of season. (ie not school holidays). very pricey drinks and food though.
John (10 July 2017)

We could not take my son out in his wheelchair unless we drove as pathways running out of complex were beyond awful. my partner is 6ft 4 and between 2 of us it was extremely dangerous. it frightened my son and so we stayed in our caravan the whole weekend which only such beautiful days was such a shame.
Kaley from Monkwood (10 July 2017)

We just had 4 nights we took the dog had some lovely walks. The weather was beautiful. The local people where so welcoming & knowledgeable. Well definitely return.
Frances from London (07 July 2017)

We had a good time
Fletcher from Basingstoke (30 June 2017)

Nice site but poor location for the caravan (in front of access road with no grass space apart from at the side)
David from Bradford (24 June 2017)

Overall very pleasantly surprised. Caravan provided excellent facilities, however second bedroom is only suitable for children - very small beds with a low cupboard over one & a radiator at the end of the other. En-suite
Sally from Sheffield (23 June 2017)

Loved the place van very clean, staff good and helpful will be back next year.
Ian from Hanley Castle (09 June 2017)

Hayling island had everything we needed for holiday with children
Linda from Higham Ferrers (03 June 2017)

On the sunday the swimming pool organisation re rubber bands needs to be addressed
John from Sussex (29 May 2017)

Nice location, staff helpful, accommodation fairly basic but we know that as it was a budget price. . however I do feel that if you don't provide the basic toilet rolls it does send a message that you are being too literal on the meaning of budget.
Richard (22 May 2017)

Very good
Michael from Bolton-Upon-Dearne (12 May 2017)

The park was very nice, but it being off season the rest of hayling island was a little drab. The entertainment staff (for toddlers) were excellent. Reception were a little unhelpful but the night security immensely helpful and friendly. . restaurant on site could also do with some less stodgy meals and was also quite pricey for what it was.
Lisa from Woking (12 May 2017)

Enjoyable few days. Clean. . well equipped accomodation. . single bed just too narrow
Julie from Bath (08 May 2017)

Myself and my family have stayed at about 10 caravan parks in the last 7 years and this has to be one of my favourites. . . our caravan was about 30 seconds walk from the pool, bar and restaurant which concerned me as I was worried about noise (being a bank holiday weekend). however there was no noise at all, really clean park, friendly staff. it just had a really nice atmosphere. . . I also really liked the fact that every caravan has their own fence so that the grass area outside your caravan is for you only. . . my 2 sons, aged 10 and 11 really loved the football pitch and the swimming pool. again, very clean and not too crowded. . I would definitely come here again.
Evonne from Mitcham (01 May 2017)

We stayed here the weekend and used this caravan park as a place to stop as closer to peppa pig world. We had a lovely stay the caravan was very clean and the resort had nice and friendly staff. We would definately do this again as we had a lovely stay.
Suzanne from St Leonards On Sea (01 May 2017)

Very nice place :)
Katrin from London (01 May 2017)

Caravan was lovely. Wish there was more things to do during the day on site that the kids could do but we did have a nice relaxing break.
Brittany from Eastleigh (21 April 2017)

Very small park , dirty caravan not a lot of facilities miserable staff
Che from Basingstoke (21 April 2017)

If you have a big family I would not advice you . it's a small place . we got nearly kick out the swimming pool and staff shouted at us in front of the public because of their mismanagement and miscommunication. Very unprofessional unfortunately
Afzal (17 April 2017)

It was a great holiday time . many activities for kids great fun
Customer 83 from London (17 April 2017)

Fairly good. Could do with more structured activity in the daytime. Things got cancelled but no notice given and no replacement activity scheduled. Pool is for leisure which is right for a holiday camp but no provision of pool toys/inflatables and no specific fun pool play inflatable time scheduled.
Dawn (14 April 2017)

The whole park is quite small compared to other resorts and the caravans are very close together. No footpaths, just small roads which cars constantly drive up and down on so not great for children on bikes/scooters. . the soft play was in a room in a corridor so no facilities to sit and watch the children play, would of been nice to be able to sit at a table with a drink at least like most soft play areas. . . the swimming pool had no flumea or slides but was big enough, and a separate little baby pool we took a few toys with us. Both were too cold though. I had a 3 year old and 4 month old and both of their lips were blue so had to come out shortly after getting in. It also didn't help that the lifeguard kept opening the door which was letting cold air in right by the baby pool. . the changing rooms where freezing and no baby changing facilities so got my baby changed on a table in the pool viewing area in the end. There are also no showers where you can use shampoo near or in the changing rooms. . . dogs were not allowed off the lead in the dog walking field, not sure why? . . children's disco/ games and talent show were fantastic, my 3yr old loved them. They were very busy so i'm guessing all the other children of all ages did too. . bingo was good and I loved that the children got free bingo tickets to do, really made them feel welcome and part of it, fantastic touch!. . the outside park was ok, only played in there once, it was always a little too busy for my 3 year old with big kids. . the park is only 1mile from the beach which was great for the kids to walk/scoot/ cycle too. The was a lovely pub and little parade of shops on the way too which were very good to stop in on the way back to the site. . . there was a fantastic fun fair at the beach which my little boy thoroughly enjoyed and I found very reasonable price per ride. . there is a lovely little train on the beach which you can get to the next village along the beach, we did this there are a few shops, restaurants and pubs.
Rachel (14 April 2017)

Ok, but that's it! entertainment was not the best. Caravan had an awful cigarette smell. Advertised as having a 'costa' on site which was actually just a small drink selection. Pool ok
Rebeka from Iow (14 April 2017)

Excellent holiday we will be coming again next easter
Kenneth from Wednesfield (14 April 2017)

We were there for 4 days and the swimming pool was closed for 2 and the soft play was very small ok for this time of year but must be very crowded in peek season
Peggy from Basingstoke (07 April 2017)

A nice little park with good local amenities (drive of site to find the co-op rather than pay the price in the on site shop.
Stuart from Folkestone (07 April 2017)

A nice small site with very good scenery we visited the new forrest, portsmouth docks and even had coffee on the isle of white.
Dave from Heywood (25 March 2017)

Caravans very close together in regimented straight lines, road between them very tight, have to go up on the grass if another vehicle approaching. . the caravan we had was very nice, heating very efficient, but close to club house and outdoor pool, so could hear it at night. didn't bother us for the weekend we were there in march but think it would be incredibly noisy in the summer if trying to get kids to sleep. . hayling island has great eating facilities, tesco express nearby, great fun fair area in south hayling for kids, portsmouth and southsea not far away with great sight-seeing.
Denise from Tonbridge (20 March 2017)

Enjoyed our few days there but really only used it as a base as we were visiting family.
Janice from Thatcham (20 March 2017)

One staff member on reception was very rude and not helpful at all. All other staff were very nice clean and helpful.
Janet from Oxford (17 March 2017)

Was great have booked again for 2017 can't wait
Caron from Thetford Norfolk (10 October 2016)

Good location for sight seeing the area
John from Stockport (07 October 2016)

T he caravan was not very clean , oven dirty, toilet smelling ,bedroom smelling ,floors, furniture not cleaned very well, net curtains required washing.i only stayed there three nights and I was glad to get of the site. I will never go there again. I should have complained there and then but I was not in the correct mood to to so.i have sent a letter to the site manager.also I would appreciate it if your company stops sending me any more e mails. thank you f.gribbin
Christina from Not Applicable (26 September 2016)

Excellent
Richard from Bracknell (23 September 2016)

Lovely location and adequate accommodation but the pool was closed for half our visit and the restaurant wouldn't serve breakfast despite it being advertised and also closed randomly throughout the day.
Serena from Reading (23 September 2016)

Very clean caravan. The pool does not open until 10am for children to allow adults swimming time. As it is a family site, feel that children should be allowed in at 9am.
Jean from Banstead (19 September 2016)

Had a very good holiday
Margaret (17 September 2016)

Very relaxed holiday weather excellent which helped make the holiday even better.
Ann from Connah'S Quay (17 September 2016)

Excellent holiday in a lovely area, very lucky with the weather too
Christopher from Norwich (09 September 2016)

A very good holiday in a comfortable setting
Helen from Cheltenham (09 September 2016)

Very pleasantly surprised with the caravan, although a little bit on the old side very clean and roomy, there were 3 adults and 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 9 , we rented a 3 bed room that could sleep up to 8. The park is small and friendly and we were lucky to have fantastic weather and so spent a lot of time in the outdoor pool which although could do with some some tender love and care was very clean and so warm. The grandkids loved the entertainment and the local little fairground which is just the right size for them at there age. Altogether we had a great time and would certainly return just think it needs a bit of paint and tlc.
Maria from Southampton (02 September 2016)

Caravan was dirty upon arrival, especially bathroom. Requested it to be cleaned at reception no staff arrived. . . bedding was clean but all beds were too small and uncomfortable. Site is not very well lit at night and access roads are narrow with no organised routes so cars can't pass each other easily, needs a one way system introduced. . . site is situated just too far from beech to walk particularly with young children, hence you have drive and parking charges are not cheap for a short stay. . . it was very expensive for a three night break considering the facilities of both caravan and site.
Mario from Essex (29 August 2016)

Facilities were good, both swimming pools were heated and clean changing areas
Kelly (29 August 2016)

Thexper camp and the staff were great the only let down was the pool and changing rooms were appalling
Alison from Norwich (27 August 2016)

We were a mum and dad with their daughter and her three children, the week-end worked out really well, but we did really feel that our car was an essential part of the holiday for us!. all the staff that we met were very expert and quick to offer help. Thank you all we had a great time. David and ellen. And the family
Aj from Chessington, Surrey (22 August 2016)

We stayed at hayling island for a full week and we absolutely loved every minute of it. The people and staff there we so friendly and helpful. It wasn't over packed like other caravan resorts are, we had beautiful weather while we were there so the outdoor swimming pool was an added bonus. We travelled for 6 hours to get there but it was well worth it, we will definetly be doing it again :-) we normally go abroad every year but we have just had a baby and also had 2 other children so we were very happy we decided to go here, thanks again for a fab week xx
Michael from Hartlepool (22 August 2016)

Camp was lovely and clean and we had a great stay
Jacqueline (15 August 2016)

Out sightseeing. Lots of places to visit see and do. just didnt want to spend time on this caravan site.
Alison from Felixstowe (15 August 2016)

We loved our caravan z6 it was well equipped and clean. The restaurant on site served good food although a bit pricey. It was nice to have costa coffee there. The shop was well equipped and priced well. We enjoyed the outside pool although the changing rooms stank of urine. We did tell reception staff. We enjoyed the bingo. The entertainment was ok I would say. One night they played a game show game which was awful. It involved 2 people running up to give the answers. The staff should have controlled it better. All in all a good place to explore portsmouth and a trip to the isle of wight.
Lisa (12 August 2016)

Caravan toilet leaked every time flushed not good with 3 kids and 2 adults boiler wouldn't work on arrival and I had to start it on two other occasions. Was not happy that my wife could not take our 3 children in the pool by herself but it was ok for 2 adults to take 5children into the pool and only 2 channels working on the tv
Darren from Saltdean (12 August 2016)

The park need more entertainment facilities and activities for the children, we found a member of the entertainment staff quite rude and sarcastic to one of our children and abrupt to other's, but other than that the rest of the team on site were very helpful and intuitive
Ian from Bexhill (12 August 2016)

Very good holiday. Would come back in a heartbeat
Sharlot from Southampton (12 August 2016)

Really enjoyed our stay here, lovely entertainment for the children and adults. Staff were brilliant and helpful, our caravan was clean and close to the facilities. 100% satisfied with our stay thank you
Richard from Rainham Kent (06 August 2016)

On paying extra £ 50 for early arrival , caravan was not cleaned to satisfactory requirements , bed linen was dirty. We was offered to move but we declined , a voucher was presented to us by management for the value of £50 to use in the camps restaurant, which was also of poor quality !. . the clubhouse at night was very loud which went on to midnight, campers would then pass our caravan disrespectful of other people sleeping, fighting, racism and swearing would then break out , which was disturbing for our children to experience ! . . the swimming pool, very nice pool , few issues need to be addressed, bigger children that should not be in toddlers pool causing upset to my young son, should be asked to be removed, hard balls being thrown around swimming pool.spa not working, we work hard all year to enjoy our holiday , facilities as quoted in the brochure should be functional .
Rick from Aylesford Kent (05 August 2016)

We had an amazing week in a stunning lodge. Kids loved it. So did we.
Katy from Ampthill (05 August 2016)

Very overpriced. The caravan that we stayed in hadn't been cleaned. Cheese all over the seating area, egg all over the cutlery and frying pan. Walls, skirtings and doors all dirty. Had to clean before we even unpacked. Evening entertainment disappointing, main entrance bar uninviting.
Andy from Orpington (30 July 2016)

Had a lovely week my grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment. a good base for the places we wanted to visit in the area. the only negative was we were one of the closes vans to the back of the club house and the music was very loud, especially as we had to be back because of having young children with us.
Julie from Crawley, West Sussex (29 July 2016)

A good bus service. Plenty of varied activities for children. Comfortable accommodation.
Derek (29 July 2016)

Had a lovely family break away and would definitely return to hayling island. Ideal spot for a visit to peppa pig world too.
Ryan from Newton Abbot (18 July 2016)

Had a lovely caravan just wish there was abit more to do on the island its self but would go again as did alot it portsmoth
Charlotte from Colchestet (15 July 2016)

Had a great holiday at hayling island. It's a small site but the kids had a great time, (if the kids r happy i'm happy). we had a problem with the caravan and the lovely lady at reception sorted us out with another caravan whilst we were out for the day. Would defo go bck.
Steven from Wrexham (11 July 2016)

Overall the site was lovely, found the on site shop a little expensive. Caravan was lovely.
Nicola from Stockport (08 July 2016)

We had a lovely 5 day caravan break. The staff were very quick to first clean a smelly fridge within 2 minutes of me calling, then they replaced it with a new one when we requested it. The team there were very helpful and friendly. The entertainment was really good every evening. The blonde lady had a stunning voice. Our kids loved the magician and the play areas. The swimming pool was a good size, the kids loved going in all 3 of the pools. It was not far from the beach. Overall we had a really great time.
Dawn from Reading (24 June 2016)

Had a lovely stay at hayling island mobile home was very comfortable and clean. booking in at reception was met with a very warm and friendly welcome. didn't use the facilities at the campsite but that was mainly due to everyone had nasty colds and was exhausted after days excursions. went into the restaurant/bar to download on wfi once and was served by a very pleasant member of staff. the food that was served to other customers looked very good and the prices seemed to be reasonable. We used the site as a base to get around portsmouth area as there is lots to see and do went to dockyard and visited museums easy to get to isle of wight. Would certainly use the site again if I was visiting portsmouth area.
Lynda from Penzance (18 June 2016)

The caravan was old and seating and beds very uncomfortable. Gas boiler kept going out. . would stay again but would try to upgrade.
Pauline (17 June 2016)

Caravan was ok but abit small, have had bigger and better ones for the price
Michelle from Portsmouth (13 June 2016)

Lovely caravan, however the area didn't have much in the way of entertainment, the extra activities on site had age limitations on them so we couldn't take part.
Kelly (03 June 2016)

Good site. Not too large.
Frank from Castleford West Yorkshire (03 June 2016)

Great place for families really enjoyed stay. Staff on check in were vague and not that helpful however after that all staff excellent. The pool area changing rooms were not clean. The entertainment for the children was excellent . will come back
Gill (30 May 2016)

Not much for the children to do . . kids pool very small. . poor quality of mantiene in caravan . . basic nothing special
Christine from Fleet (20 May 2016)

This is the first time we stayed at this site and would definitely come back. Caravan was clean, modern & comfortable.
Louise (16 May 2016)

Site not full so a bonus.
Joan from Sheringham (16 May 2016)

The site was pleasant enough but the pool was not as user friendly as others we have visited.
Chris from Wallasey (06 May 2016)

We love the park
Sally from Portchester (18 April 2016)

Well maintained park. They had torrential rain the day we arrived and everything was swimming in mud but they laid a few slabs so we could get to the caravan. Helpful staff.
Alison from Nottingham (15 April 2016)

No much at the camp site if you did not like being in the camp bar. Caravans are tightly packed so again not much on the site. The island is worth visiting but do not expect this to consume a lot of your time
Marc from Lutterworth (09 April 2016)

The site is cramped. our caravan was near the club house and it was so loud, it kept our children awake until midnight every night. the pool is far too small to service that many guests. we were having to wait to use it and then having limited swimming times and that was at the beginning of april. I dread to think what it's like during the summer! the toilets and changing areas of the pool were shabby and dirty. the caravan was very clean and well equipped. the only positive really.
Joanne from Wantage (04 April 2016)

Lots to see and do in this location with easy reach to lovely coastline. Walks and scenary. . we enjoyed day out trips to southampton, portsmouth, chichester and many other small towns and villages around the coast. . we had a weeks stay and could have stayed longer.
Carl from Ellesmere Port Cheshire (16 November 2015)

Really pleased with accommodation - 4 adults & 2 children and didn't feel cramped. Good service in restaurant. Disappointed with swimming pool changing area.

Great break, caravan was spotless and well maintained with all facilities and amenities you could want. We left a small item behind which was found and posted to us, so a great service.

First time visit, very enjoyable time at camp, will visit again in the future.
John from Gillingham Kent (10 October 2015)

Caravan was in a poor state had to get repairs done from day one, nothing really to do onsite and club house and restaurant very expensive cheaper to go off site and around the island
Amy from Dagenham Essex (10 October 2015)
