Customer reviews

This holiday was first class and we will definitely be going back. No complaints at all!
Mrs. R from Craven Arms

An excellent location, the local pub did excellent food and was very welcoming. A good variety of places of interest.
Mrs H from Grimsby

I would definately recommend Griffon Forest to my friends and family, we had a very relaxing and romantic weekend and the hot tub was fantastic.
Mrs R from Bishop Auckland

My husband and I had a wonderful holiday at Griffon Forest, York. Very relaxing. Great location to explore. We loved the log cabins and the hot tub was a real treat. We have been to the cabins a few years ago with family and friends and had a great long weekend. We came back this time for a week, as a couple, and had a wonderful relaxing time. All the staff are very helpful with great advice of local attractions. Highly recommend.
Mrs A from Edinburgh

The lodges are very high quality and the furniture has been carefully and tastefully designed. The location is also in a great spot for getting out and seeing things if you want to leave the blissful solitude of the lodge for some reason.
Mr L from Liverpool

I would definitely recommend Griffon Forest as the location was so tranquil and the staff very helpful.
Mr M from Doncaster

If you want a relaxing break away - this is definitely it. A spacious lodge in a great location (10 miles from York centre, plus excellent routes for cycling and walking). Everything has been thought of before arrival - champagne and chocolates, lights on inside the lodge and it even had complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and milk!! Service was fantastic too, everyone goes out of their way to help and an employee comes to your lodge within 15 minutes of your arrival to tell you how the hot tub and other things work.
Miss A from Linlithgow

First class accomodation in a peaceful and tranquil forest. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly - we couldn't have asked for more. The lodge was well equipped and spacious, it really was a wonderful trip and we will definitely be visiting there again a little later in the year.
Ms M from Peterlee

These lodges are set in a fantastic location, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We remembered faces from when we first visited 8 years ago, and that in itself says a lot. We can't wait to visit again!

Mr S from Woodhall Spa

The ultimate 'get away from it all' break. A lovely place to spend a few days to recharge your batteries.
Mrs D from Wymondham

The break is restful and quiet with beautiful surroundings that include the wildlife feeding near by. We were near a 18 hole golf course with a fantastic club house and top notch restaurant. The plentiful walks in the forest with the flowers, and twinkling lights that light the pathway are great. It makes you feel you're in a little piece of heaven that is away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life.

This location is perfect for a romantic break!

The setting and surroundings at Griffon Forest are superb, being set some distance from the main road and traffic noise. Mrs K from Blandford Forum

A very peaceful park with very friendly and helpful staff.
Miss F from Bootle

We had a great time, would certainly come back, and would recommend it to anyone!
Mrs J from Cumnock

We were looking for a peaceful holiday in a rural location where we could see and hear wildlife. We also needed somewhere suitable for the needs of my disabled husband, and the holiday ticked all the boxes for us! It was lovely to encourage the birds with wild birdseed so close to the lodge, and on several occasions chaffinches would feed from the windowsills - a a great delight and we hope to return!
Mrs A from Snodland

A great park, nicely secluded yet still local to shops etc. On site day kennel is a boon and enables guests to have a day out shopping without the worry. The golf club provides excellent food in beautiful surroundings and is only a short walk from the cabins.
Mrs S from Ulverston

This is a holiday for complete relaxation. If you love wildlife there is an abundance or if you love architecture there is plenty in York. If you love picturesque villages they are on your doorstep or you can just sit in the hot tub surrounded by trees and watch the squirrels and a vast array of birds and chill out. Don't forget to take some peanuts and they will come very close to you. They also have a badger set which you can view on TV, or take a walk to see but we were not lucky enough to see them while we were there, maybe because we retired early and badgers are night animals.
Mr G from Lowestoft

Griffin Forest was fantastic! The lodge was well equipped, beautifully furnished and very clean and tidy.
Mrs B from Gillingham

The park setting was lovely, very secluded with glimpses of wildlife - we really felt we were in the middle of a remote forest. The location of the park was excellent with York a short drive away and if you fancy a trip to the seaside, Scarborough is just a little bit further. Lots of shopping and other attractions nearby made us feel spoilt for choice.
Mrs B from Dundee

I can speak for all of our party to say that it was one of the most relaxing breaks we have had - the hot tub was a fantastic help to that and we will definitely be coming back!
Mr S from Billingham

We spent one week at the park and did not want to leave. Very peaceful, lots of walking routes but you can also watch the wildlife from the comfort of your own balcony (lots of squirrels, rabbits and birds). We were lucky enough the see the badger on the sites wildlife CCTV channel. Not far from York and plenty of shopping facilities nearby. The lodge was very clean, well equipped and the reception sold many basics (and some luxuries too). All in all a great holiday for us with our 15 year old son who loves photography, he took hundreds of photos of scenery and wildlife.
Mrs. K from Paisley

I would recommend this holiday as it is blissfully peaceful and quiet in a wonderful location with an excellent standard of accommodation.
Mr N from Huntingdon

An ideal holiday to get away from it all for a few days - great for couples, and dog friendly - we took the dog and went on some great walks. It was a great central point from which to travel to York, Castle Howard and the East Coast beach resorts as well as the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors.
Mrs H from Dalbeattie

An ideal location, pretty central for all main attractions in the area. A quiet park with nice private accommodation - great if you have a dog.
Mrs H from Wisbech

Everything was exellent!
Mr D from Keighley

I would totally recommend this resort as it is so peaceful and private, yet the staff are always available if required. All the resort is clean and tidy and it even offers recycling facilities. This is ideal for families and just couples.
Ms G from Bedford

Extremely helpful and welcoming staff and flowers and biscuits awaited in the cabins which was scrupulously clean. The hot tub upkeep was really good and great fun to use, especially at night watching the stars. A good area for tourist attractions or peace and quiet.
Mrs E from St. Neots

The lodge was well equipped and very private - sitting in the hot tub we could only just see the roof of the next cabin behind us because our small garden was enclosed by trees and flowering rhodedendroms. Being on my own with three children I felt completely safe to walk around the many path through the surrounding woods and fields on the site, even at five in the morning when the numerous wildlife was suprised by my early walks with the dog. I would definitely recommend the holiday to others and the lovely hotel next to the park can be accessed easily on foot if you would like a nice drink or meal.
Ms N from Barton-Upon-Humber

This was a truly fantastic holiday. We got away from all the mayhem of day to day life and the park was set in the forest - tranquil and very beautiful.

Griffon Forest was like a home from home sanctuary in the middle of a forest, yet still near enough to civilisation with many places to visit, from beaches to city. We had an excellent stay, very relaxing and the hot tub was the icing on the cake.
Mrs K from Stevenage

I don't think Griffon Forest could be improved upon. This is a lovely quiet location. For me, the fact that the hot-tubs are emptied after every visit was a real bonus. We will definitely try and visit again.

I would recommend this holiday - we had an all girls one a couple of years ago a thoroughly enjoyed it so this time we decided to take our other halfs. We were a bit worried it would not compare with the last holiday but it was just as good and the men enjoyed the pub while the ladies had fun in the spa. FANTASTIC

We thought the holiday was wonderful. Our lodge was beautiful and the location was idyllic. Griffon Forest was the best possible find for us for our honeymoon. We had 5 days of bliss, peace and relaxation and all only a few hours drive away, I can't recommend it enough!
Miss M from King;S Lynn

We stayed in a luxury log cabin in Yorkshire and it was an excellent holiday. We stayed for a long weekend which was way too short so we will definitely be returning for a longer period. The cabins were like having a huge luxury apartment to ourselves with a large four poster bed, spa bath, double shower, full kitchen, living room with some sky tv channels, but best of all the jacuzzi outside on the decking overlooking the tranquil woods. An extremely relaxing holiday 0 I would definitely recommend it.
Mr V from Littlehampton

I think it was a lovely romantic break for 2 and away from it all.
Mrs M from Bracknell

A fantastic wedding anniversary treat!

Griffin Forest is perfect for a relaxing break. The accommodation was to a very high standard with a hot tub, jaccuzi and four poster bed - what more could anyone want. Set in a beautiful tranquil setting we had a wonderful honeymoon in a Poachers Premier Lodge and we didn't want to leave!

I booked a long weekend for my husbands birthday and I booked the superior cabin as I wanted to make it special. The cabin was amazing as was the hot tub outside and the champagne and roses which were there on our arrival! We walked round, visited Tykes and just relaxed, it was perfect!

Mrs S from Ipswich

This lodge was a fantastic find, the large corner Jacuzzi bath was fantastic, the four poster bed so comfy, and the hot tub was excellent. The forest in which the lodge was located was romantic, we walked through the forest to Tykes for a fabulous meal. I would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday to others, but would prefer to keep it quiet in case its booked up when we want to go again!
Mr B from Southport

Miss M from Hull

An ideal place to relax and unwind from the stresses and strains of daily life. The hot tub last thing at night is the perfect way to end your day. Also Tykes Restaurant is very good - top quality food at reasonable prices.

Miss A from Poulton-Le-Fylde

The location and the surrounding areas are excellent, the lodge itself was excellent and we will definitely be going back sometime soon.
Mr K from Hartlepool

I would recommend my holiday becuase of the location and the log cabins quality and facilities. It is situated in a beautiful area with peace and tranquilty, and is a perfect holiday destination to unwind. Being only 6 miles outside of York is another bonus to the holiday as this is perfect for sight-seeing and shopping in the historical, cobbled streets and buildings.
Miss M from Liverpool

Very quiet and peaceful, good for observing birds and other wildlife and within easy reach of York and many other attractions.
Mr R from Beccles

Pay a little bit more and get a whole lot more for your money. All the little extras were great - toilet rolls, tea towels, oven gloves, hairdryer, and it was amazing to have own hot tub!
mrs E from Tiverton

A nice and quiet park but only 8 miles from York.
Mrs F from Peterborough

A beautiful setting and a quiet and relaxing place. The warden could not have been more helpful, a really nice chap.

A most relaxing experience. The accommodation in secluded, spacious and is the perfect base from which to explore the cities, countryside and costal towns. North Yourshire is clean and easy to travel round. We took our dog on holiday with us and found he enjoyed it so much he didn't want to come home!
Miss S from Redditch

A fantastic base from which to explore North Yorkshire, bringing together the cities, countryside and beaches. Wonderfully quiet and relaxing.
miss S from Redditch

Griffon Forest is the ideal holiday to get away from the stress of life - its so relaxing and wonderful for peace and quiet. I would recommend this holiday to all ages - we went for our honeymoon then on the second holiday we took my parents and 1 year old son who both had a fab time.
Miss L from Newbiggin-By-The-Sea

We found it the best site we have stayed on not realising so much would be included bath towles tea coffee sugar plus tea towel apron and even oven gloves. Some welcoming flowers. Lovely secluded site fenced in area for dog. We could relax in the hot tub knowing she was safe. Lovely walks lots of wildlife. Staff most helpful.
Mr E from Tunbridge Wells

A really relaxing break. Wonderful surroundings and a great location for access to York, Scarborough etc.
Mrs P from Wigton

It's so peaceful and you feel really secluded. The golf facilities were excellent.
Mrs Z from Mansfield

Although it was a typical english summer - very wet! we still had a great time. plenty to do in surrounding areas and close to York which is a beautiful city. The hot tub was an added bonus and was used a lot.
Mrs P from Fakenham

Quiet location, private and not overlooked. Handy for all parts of North Yorkshire.
Mrs P from Lancashire.

A great forest retreat, within easy reach of roads but feels as though your in the middle of nowhere and away from it all! Accommodation high standard, equipped with everything you need and if anything is missing or not working staff immediately on hand to help out. Great place, will definately be going back!
Mrs D from Lanarkshire.

We had a lovely 1 weeks break in June 2008 At Griffin Forrest , We took our Son and his Wife and my Daughter there for a quiet break which it was, it was so secluded surrounded by trees and yet only minutes from York one way and the war museum the other way. It was so central for loads of things to do if you wanted, but we were quite happy staying around the Log Cabin chilling out. We took our Border collie with us and she just loved walking through the forrest and chasing after cones from the trees, But if we wanted to go anywheree for the day or part off the Day kennels were so handy I would give it a 9 out of 10 for a review for this Holiday well done keep up the good work, We will certainly be thinking about returning again soon
Mr H from Kelso

A great location and a beautiful setting for relaxing, but there is still loads to do in and around York.
Mrs B from Knutsford

This was our second visit to Griffon Forest, and our first with the children. Just as enjoyable as the first time, we will be back in the future.
Mr E from Bristol

A fantastic holiday, a lovely location and very tranquil - yet only a moments drive from York.
Mrs K from Chesterfield

A beautiful location with lovely accommodation and facilities.
Mrs S from Leeds

Mr A from March

Griffon Forest is an ideal holiday location for the family. The children can justg et on their bikes and pedal, and we loved the nature.
Mrs L

Our short break was perfect for unwinding and leaving the world behind - we loved the hot tub!
Mr H

Perfect holiday, couldn't ask for anything more.. the little rabbits skipping around as you enter the park sets of the whole experience!!! faaaantastic
Mr S from Sunderland

Griffon forest is a fantastic holiday, we have been 3 times and it is so relaxing and you leave very rested. The hot tub is excellent and the decking lovely to sit out on having meals. The park it self is very cleverly designed so you feel a million miles away from everything but close enough to get essentials. I would recommend this holiday to all - families, couples and friends. The office staff are very helpful and a font of all knowledge. GREAT.
Mrs W from Newbiggin-By-The-Sea

Griffon Forest is possibly the most relaxing place in the north east of England. It is a fantastic place for both adults and children alike. The wildlife on your doorstep is brilliant to watch and you can't help but be happy and smile every morning when you open the curtains.
Mr B from Hartlepool

The holiday was a peaceful break and gave time for rest which is what we went for. We never met with any staff but that suited us and we went the weekend undisturbed which also suited us fine. This was an experience for us that left us to just enjoy the weekend in our own company, and being tucked away in the woods we hardly had any reception on our phones which left us to thoroughly enjoy each others company. A great break and one we are thinking of doing more regulary.
Mr H from Liverpool

This is in a lovely, quiet location within the forest. The accommodation standard is excellent with every little thing thought of and catered for. We took jumpers, expecting it to be chilly at times, but never needed them. The accommodation was warm with low level lighting on when we arrived which was most welcoming. The groundsman that keeps an eye on things came around very soon and gave us instructions on how the hot tub worked. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets etc was very useful. We couldn't fault this holiday and will definitely be returning again. This was so comfortable we didn't want to go out and although we didn't think we would use the hot tub much, especially in November, we found ourselves in it two nights after 11.30 pm! A great holiday.
Mrs D from Walsall

To be close enough to a city like York, and to stay in Griffon Forest for peace and relaxation is the best of both worlds. A great holiday!
Mrs C from Peterborough

A beautiful site, exceptional accommodation, we have no hesitation in recommending the site.
Mrs B from Stafford

Very restful, the private hot tub was great
Mr H from Rugby

We went for our honeymoon and it was fantastic fun, and placed in a perfect spot to discover Yorkshire. It is close to main roads and the A1(M) - perfect!
Miss H from Isle Of Man

Beautiful location, lovely secluded lodge
Mrs. H from St. Helens

A beautifully kitted out lodge in a lovely forest setting. An ideal getaway for both us and our canine companion.
Mrs G from Cirencester

Very peaceful and relaxing from the moment you arrive. Surrounding area lovely and hard to believe you are only 7 miles from centre of York.
Mrs N from Newcastle Upon Tyne

One word... amazing
Mr S from Houghton Le Spring

We have already recommended this holiday to friends & family. Recommended to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break in peaceful surroundings & who want to pamper themselves with the facilities offered in the lodges. The setting was tranquil, the accommodation first class & the staff were happy to go the extra mile to help with any query (we were asking about walks in the local area). We enjoyed our meal at the local Golf Club & the 10% discount was appreciated. Can't wait to go back!
Mr S from Blaydon-On-Tyne

location and accommodation were brilliant would definitely recommend others and come again my self
Mr M from Stockton-On-Tees

It was absolutely lovely - a fantastic romantic break with person you love, or just a great holiday with your friends as well. I truly enjoyed every minute and I am looking forward to going again - it was worth every penny!
Mr S from Glasgow

This was a wonderful, relaxing escape, but near enough to amenities and York to find lots to do.
Mrs C from Washington

This holiday is for those who want to chill, soak in a hot tub most evenings and enjoy the wildlife. Four of us stayed and really enjoyed ourselves having many visitors on the decking (eg blue tits, cold tits, pheasants, woodpecker plus squirrels and many more). We had the pleasure of seeing two deer one morning, we also saw the badgers via the webcam (we saw three plus two young). This holiday is a get away from your usual working life - just peace and quietness with the option of getting out and about to York and surrounding places. The park has some pleasant walks with the option of Tykes restaurant where you can dine and have a drink - lovely.
Mrs D from Manchester

A fantastic holiday in a great and peaceful location, and all the small additions (dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk etc) made all the difference from other similar places that we've stayed at. As a romatic weekend away for us, this was exactly what we needed and more. A htoroughly amazing place to spend the weekend, we had a great time and the dogs loved the local walks!
Mr D from Driffield

The holiday was perfect!
Mrs P from Saffron Walden

Fantastic accommodation in a peaceful location - an ideal place for a honeymoon. We thoroughly recommend Tykes Restaurant - excellent food and brilliant service!
Mr C from Swindon

The lodges are secluded from each other in woodland with abundant wildlife and even on-line webcams. A jacuzzi, four poster bed, walk in shower, hot tub, all the kitchen appliances you could need and a comfy lounge with TV, DVD and CD in front of a log burning stove. Champagne and chocolates on arrival, golf course and a restaurant a short walk away - a weekend is not long enough to do this park justice, you need at least a week, summer or winter!
Mr B from Workington

The location of the cabin and cabin itself was second to none. The utensils provided, such as plates, pots and pans were ample and in excellent condition and the cleanliness of the cabin was top class. It really was the perfect, luxurious little hideaway, so much so, we are considering the cabins as the location of our honeymoon.
Miss K from Ballymena

It was a total and complete relaxing holiday and it was perfect in every way. I will definitely recommend this to my friends.
Mrs C from Rotherham

A lovely location, the lodges are well spaced out and the hot tub was wonderful and just the thing for a relaxing break. The accommodation was very good and comfortable.
Mrs M from Bedford

The accommodation was perfect, in the most relaxing environment and with a delightful restaurant within walking distance. A good nights sleep and a 3 night break felt like a week!
Miss R from Brackley

We had a really fantastic relaxing break and will definitely be re-booking!
Mr H from Sheerness

We stayed in one of the Gardeners Premier lodges for our honeymoon. What can I say, first class accommodation, and the hot tub even on a very cold January night is a must. We are saving our pennies for a return stay - many, many thanks for a wonderful stay!
Miss T from Loughborough

I would definitely recommend Griffon Forest in York to anyone. The accommodation was perfect and an exceptionally high standard, and we all loved the hot tub! Its great that you are able to take pets and there were lots of lovely places to walk in and around the forest.
Mr S from Leeds

We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will be looking to return in the very near future. Very relaxing, helpful staff and a beautiful setting.
Mrs Y from Sleaford

I looked everywhere for facilities with a private hot tub to surprise my partner for her birthday. With little success you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon your website which has an entire section devoted to such accommodation!
Mr B from Sowerby Bridge

We all had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was very relaxing and peaceful and the staff were extremely helpful. We will definitely return for another visit!
Miss M from Brentwood

I arranged a short break to Griffin Forest for my husbands birthday and another couple came along too. The Gardeners Premier Lodge was so luxurious and just perfect for 2 couples. So clean and comfortable!
Mrs B from Godalming

I've already recommended this holiday to several of my friends as it left us feeling totally relaxed and pampered and gave us a real chance to re-affirm our relationship. The setting and facilities is so conducive to romance ... we have suggested that any of our friends could benefit from a little falling in love again ... and we will even babysit!!
Mrs B from Torrington

A total chill out zone but close enough to York etc for sightseeing etc during the day. Loved the hot tub and the lodge was superb, I would highly recommend Griffon Forest.
Mrs B from Kingskettle

I would recommend the lodge holiday to others because they are fantastic, they have everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay, just what we were looking for comfy, relaxing a great place to unwind this was our 3rd time in one of your lodges and we have throughly enjoyed them all. We will be doing it again in the near future.

It was a perfect break for us, the whole place made us feel relaxed and we came home refreshed - thank you!
Mrs C from Swindon

I had a fabulous break at your lodge. I will remember my trip for a long time, I felt so relaxed and comfortable and the facilities were perfect.
Mrs W from Cleethorpes

This was like a second honeymoon for us, the lodge was perfectly arranged for 2 couples and the bedrooms were private enough for us to enjoy ourselves. We had a brilliant relaxing break and would definitely return again, soon I hope!
Ms S from Dagenham

It is a really great place to unwind and relax, but near enough to the city of York for eating out/bars etc. This holiday was excellent with great accommodation and lovely surroundings.
Mr B from Sheffield

I am happy to recommend this park to others but in doing so may struggle to secure a booking for myself next time, so I try to keep its location quiet - its perfect!
Miss B from Bishop Auckland

Griffon Forest is fabulous!! The staff, accommodation - everything! Thank you for the most relaxing, yet full holiday!
Ms M from Saxmundham

If you are looking for an ideal location to relax, close to the most ideal city in the UK, then Griffin Forest should be your choice. Just another example of why you should trust Hoseasons!
Mrs C from Ely

A fantastic getaway, easy going and very relaxing. Situated near York's park and ride stations which were very easy to use and we found it was the best way to get into the city. York is beautiful city to visit, and there are lots of things to do in and around York. The park itself was well maintained, very helpful and friendly staff. There wasn't much noise and had lots of wildlife on your doorstep. The hot tub was super and was checked daily by park staff. The lodge itself was very well equipped and we never found ourselves wanting anything extra during our stay. I would love to back in the future.
Mrs M from Ayr

An ideal, tranquil getaway for a relaxing and romantic break.
Mrs W from Cheadle

I would recommend the holiday because the surroundings were peaceful and all in all it was a nice, romantic break. The welcome chocolates, wine and flowers were a really nice touch and it was lovely having the use of thick bath robes and huge bath sheets.
Ms T from Loughborough

This is a fantastic place to get away from everything. The accommodation is set in the middle of woodland and is so peaceful. The little things like pint of milk left in the fridge and a pack of biscuits make it so welcoming and friendly. I would go back definitely!
Miss F from Liverpool

Absolutely fantastic!
Miss H from Ipswich

This is a superb park for a quiet time away from it all in lovely surroundings. Please don't book this park - you might take my place!
Miss R from Leicester

This is a fantastic resort wth impeccable cabins and hot tubs to die for! I would recommend this park for anyone looking to relax and get away from things for a few days/weeks. Children would love this too as a family holiday but is also perfect for a romantic break.
Mrs D from Caerphilly

Great for couples wanting a completely relaxing and private experience.

Miss V from Wakefield

A totally relaxing holiday.
Mr D from Leyburn

My partner and I stayed for three days at the log cabins in York and it wasnt enough by far. Should we return we will probably for a much longer period. The facilities indoors were ideal if not perfect, the whole interior promoted a feeling of warmth. In itself, it is perfectly placed, with access to the surrounding area should you want to travel to the shops, however it is very difficult to drag yourself away from the luxury, splendour and above all peace and quiet.
Mr P from Nottingham

The wildlife is great - we had a pheasant that thought he ws a cockrell and a lesser spotted woodpecker that came for food daily. Tykes is an enjoyable walk with lovely food and a great wine list!

It is the ideal holiday if you want to relax. The lodge was in its own private area, and all you could see of the other lodges were the roofs. We were surrounded by trees and the squirrels and birds ate nuts if you put them out - you could watch them whilst in the hot tub. It is the ideal romantic break, and I hope to go back next year!

Mr R from Hitchin

Just perfect for a short break with a loved one!
Mr F from Dunmow

Fantastic location to sight see around the surrounding area, loads of places to see and do. Then coming back to fantastic lodge where you can unwind and relax in quiet tranquil surroundings.
Mr N from Grimsby

Very peaceful and relaxing accommodation with a fantastic restaurant (Tykes) within walking distance.
Miss J from Preston

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the lodge and found it very relaxing. The hot tub was great for relaxing in after a long day enjoying the sights of York and the surrounding areas. We especially enjoyed the extra space between each lodge, which provided us with more privacy.
Mr P from Weston-Super-Mare

Lovely lodge. Peaceful place. All staff were pleasant. Tykes restaurant and the sports bar are convenient and well worth a visit to both for a drink and a meal.
Mrs B from Burnley

This was an excellent, very relaxing and quiet holiday. I really enjoyed it and I want to go back again!
Mrs L from Redcar

Very relaxing, a nice atmosphere and good quality accommodation.
Mrs B from Sutton-In-Ashfield

This was our 4th year here! It just gets better - 1st class lodges and staff!
MRS M from Stoke-On-Trent

It is a great park for couples who want to spend some quality time together, or just anybody who wants to escape the hustle and bustle.
Mr R from Barrow-In-Furness

We would recommend the holiday to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break.
MR S from Swadlincote

From the minute we arrived we began to relax and enjoy the beautiful accommodation and surroundings at Griffon Forest. The Hoseasons booking process was seamless and we were welcomed to the park by friendly, efficient staff. The lodge was even better than our high expectations and incredibly well equipped. My advice is to travel light and check the place out before popping to the supermarket down the road and stocking up on supplies, as everything from salt and pepper to an iron and board was already there, in addition to the fantastic welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, bubbly, chocolates and flowers! Just don't forget to buy some peanuts to coax the cheeky squirrels even closer for that perfect picture. They gave us hours of fun on our decking. Overall, the perfect stay!
Mr K from Glasgow

We had such a lovely time at Griffon Forest, the location and lodge was great. Staff were friendly, relaxing in the hot tub the weather wasn't very good but that didn't spoil our break one bit. We had everything we needed at the lodge even a bar-be-que which we did manage to use. All together a fantastic break and we will visit Griffon Forest again.
Mrs B from Dagenham

A fantastic relaxing break. Could not wish for a nicer setting and the hot tub is amazing no matter what the weather is like!
Miss W from Chesterfield

Excellent location lovely to wake up to the singing of birds, wildlife fantastic just perfect for a lovely holiday or break
Mr T from Bradford

Absolutely amazing the log cabin was fantastic and we were hardly out of the hot tub!
Mr M from Doncaster

I will definitely be recommending this holiday to friends and family, the location is so peaceful and full of wildlife, and the lodge was fantastic.
Mrs F from Kettering

Perfect Location and lodge for a very relaxing break
Miss R from Newcastle Upon Tyne

This was our first time on this type of holiday and we wanted total peace, quiet and relaxation time alone together and boy we definately got it. We went for long walks relaxed in the hot tub made great meals opened a bottle of wine and reminded ourselves why we have been married 26years. We will definately be doing it again very soon.
Mrs J from Lancaster

Griffon Forest is wonderfully relaxing and a perfect place for a romantic holiday.
Mr V from Harrogate

The location and venue were absolutely surperb, we had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The staff were incredibly helpful and the welcome pack was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend to others(and already have) and will be booking again.
Miss L from Sheffield

This was second time we have stayed at Griffon Forest as we love it!
Mrs L from Bolton

I booked this holiday as a short break to 'get away from it all' for my partners 30th, and it was the most relaxed we have ever been. Naturally the weather in February was grey, but the lodge was so well equipped with an extensive DVD library at reception that we didn't need to venture outdoors, except for trips to nearby York and use of the amazing hot tub! I have recommended this to several of my friends and we are even considering returning for another break later in the year!
Miss L from Milton Keynes

The accomodation was a very high standard and the staff were excellent and very helpful. The location is ideal for York and the surrounding towns. I will definately be going back to Griffon Forest!!
Mr I from Carluke

A relaxing, peaceful break.
Mrs W from Aylesbury

Ff you are after a nice romantic break then this is just perfect. Lovely walks, nice pubs nearby and relaxing in the outdoor hot tub - what more could you wish for.
Mr D from Pontefract

A wonderful weekend break, very relaxing, and the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful.
Mr H from Cheltenham

The ideal place for a winter break - total peace and tranquility!
Mrs A from Middlesbrough

What a great place to visit - we had the best time! The staff are so helpful, the lodges have everything and the hot tub gives it that bit extra.
Mr S from Leeds

We had what we went for - peace and quiet, and to get away from the Christmas shopping and crowds. It was heaven! The hot tub is to be recommended, especially in snow which is what we had. We have booked again for the spring watch as we loved the wildlife in the forest.
Mr. B from Burton On Trent

A perfect, romantic getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life. A short hop to the City of York and excellent accommodation.
Miss B from Swindon

It was perfect!
Mrs S from Alfreton

I would certainly recommend this to anyone as this park is a true gem. Very close to York and all of its attractions but, secluded enough to give the impression that you were miles away from anywhere. A great place and we'll be going back soon!
Mrs M from Northallerton

This was a perfect romantic break. It is ideal to escape the hassle of everyday life, and in the log cabins everything has been thought of to make your experience just right - all you have to do is enjoy!
Mr M from Bradford

If you need to take time out and unwind, have rest, relaxation and recharge your batteries, this is the place to be. The perfect hideaway!
Mr P from Castleford
