Customer reviews

I would recommend Dacre Lakeside Park to others as the lodge and the surroundings were excellent. We stayed in the Dragonfly Watersedge lodge, which was lovely, and the hot tub and veranda overlooked the lake. The lodge itself was spacious and modern and the four poster bed and large bath were very nice luxuries. The staff at the park were very helpful and always on hand if we needed anything. We enjoyed visiting the local towns and beaches, Bridlington beach was our favourite. There is a supermarket a short drive away in Beverley, which also has lots of places to eat out. The fish and chip shop which is a couple of minutes from the park was very good - huge portions and good value for money. We also went shopping in Hull city centre which has lots of high street shops. If I had of had more time I would have liked to have visited The Deep, an aquarium in Hull, which I have heard is rather spectacular.
Miss O from Bedford

I would recommend Dacre Lakeside Park to others. The lodge we stayed in (Dragonfly Watersedge) was lovely, spacious and modern. The decking area overlooked the large pond which was home to lots of birds and ducks and the hot tub was excellent for relaxing in after a days sightseeing.
Miss O from Bedford

Oh my God!! What a luxury lodge - it was so clean and modern. I would recommend this to anyone and we WILL be going back!
Miss H from Boston

A super location and a lovely, relaxing park. The cabin was decorated and fitted to a high standard and served our family well (2 adults and baby). We had a fantastic time and would definitely return!
Mr C from Wallsend

The location of the park was ideal for a lazy weekend with the option of venturing to nearby Beverley or Bridlington if a day out was desired. The quality of the accommodation was fantastic and it instantly felt like home. I would definitely recommend the holiday park to others - a superb weekend!
Miss W from Goole

We had a fantastic time! My girlfriend loved the ducks and swans and the accommodation was excellent, roomy, romantic and relaxing. Really quiet and peaceful and the local pub is great quality, the meals are huge and the price is cheap. The weather was not great but it was no problem as there is so much to do - thank you!
Mrs W from Spalding

The lodge was superb!
Miss C from Swindon

When we arrived there, me and my partner were extremely impressed with how clean it was and the level of hygiene.
Mr L from Warrington

A great location for York. The quality of the lodges are excellent and this was our second visit to this park. The hot tub is definitely a nice touch and we will be returning again next year!
Miss S from Peterborough

It was a very relaxing holiday, excellent accommodation and very handy for short trips to the coast and to countryside.
Mrs H from Chesterfield

The lodge (Dragonfly Watersedge) was the nicest we've ever stayed in. Luxurious decor throughout, very well looked after and a perfect, tranquil setting. The park staff were very friendly and helpful - highly recommended, an excellent short break !
Mr D from Bolton

A very warm and genuine welcome awaits you at this fantastic and tranquil park, which has excellent village facilities within short walking distance (the local chippy is excellent value). The lodge facilties are second to none from the gorgeous interiors of the lodge to the comfy bed and the excellent hot tub. An excellent choice to spend my hubby's 50th birthday - thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Mrs C from Cleator

Very relaxing and everyone is really friendly and helpful.
Miss K from Altrincham

Accommodation was fantastic, the place was so peaceful and relaxing "we loved it".
Mr B from Rotherham

The accommodation is second to none in terms of quality. The pictures on Hoseasons simply do not do the lodge (Dragonfly) justice. I would highly recommend a stay at this park.
Mr H from Loughborough

Was just so shocked to see what we saw the cabin had just everything, didnt want to leave, it was so perfect.
Mr P from Pontefract

Our 2nd stay this year, we had one of the new cabins this time, very nice and modern, great bathroom, hottub and tvs. Very relaxing as always and the staff are very helpful and friendly...
Mr E from Sutton-In-Ashfield

I would definitly recommend this holiday because its a lovely peaceful area, staff are all friendly and it just a great way to have a relaxing time.
Miss S from Cleethorpes

For a relaxing stress free break it's by far the most luxurious break I have ever been on in the UK. Will be booking again.
Mr T from Skelmersdale

We stayed here last year and have just got back home from another great experience at Dacre Lakeside Park, and we are already planning our break here for next year! There was nothing more relaxing than being sat in the hot tubs with a drink! I would recommend it to anyone that I haven't already!
Miss S from Pembroke Dock

We chose this as a romantic late break for our anniversary. However. my wife was unexpectedly booked in for surgery after we had booked the holiday but it turned out that it was an ideal place for her to recover - quiet and peaceful and the ducks were lovely and put a smile on my wife's face when they came to visit her each morning. I can safely say we will use the lodge holidays again as the standards are so high, in lodgings and location, that we want to go back for the romantic break we originally planned.
Mr L from Houghton Le Spring

So quiet and a nice place to rest, we really enjoyed the holiday!
Miss W from Leeds

I loved it - was quiet and peaceful. Facilities were great!
Miss M from Peterborough

It was very nice at our lodge, very clean and peaceful, we have booked to go again...
Mr W from Stoke-On-Trent

If your looking for a nice break, peace and quiet in a very tranquil setting you would be hard pushed to better Dacre park. Take some fishing tackle, we stopped in the Dragon Fly and fished from the balcony. The hot tub is super, the layout of the lodge was great, if there was a catch it was the fact we had to go home !
Mr H from Burnley

A fantastic location, beautiful scenery, an excellent lodge and all amenities - a truly relaxing break.
Mrs R from Stevenage

The accommodation was fantastic!
Miss T from Bolton

We had a fantastic break over the bank holiday weekend - perfect place to chill out and relax in pure luxury.
Ms B from St. Bees

A lovly lodge, a nice view and really good for relaxing.
Mr S from Houghton Le Spring

This was the first time we have stayed at Dacre Lakeside Park and we are seriously considering making this a yearly holiday. The lodge had everything you could possibly need to get started after a long journey, and the staff were happy to give directions to local shops and the nearest supermarket. The information pack did provide some ideas of things to do which we explored and thoroughly and enjoyed.
Mr R from Newcastle Upon Tyne

I have just spent a fantastic 4 nights at Dacre Lakeside Park. I booked this as a surprise trip away for my boyfriends 30th, the surprise was on us however as the standard of the lodge exceeded all my expectations! We stayed in the Dragonsfly Watersedge and I would thoroughly recommend couples to book this lodge for a romantic getaway. The large bedroom contained a dressing room, and 4 poster bed facing a 32 inch flatscreen linked up to the DVD player in the living room which was great for lazy mornings! The bathroom was amazing with its huge, free standing bath and walk in shower - the pictures really do not do this place justice. The kitchen had everything you could want/need for a week away, and the living room again had a large 42 inch tv mounted on the wall in perfect view of your private hot tub - just slide the door open and you are all set for a night in front of the TV in the hot tub with a a glass of wine in hand! We overlooked the pond and our balcony was literally on the water meaning my boyfriend could fish from the balcony. The park is very quiet and peaceful, there is a large lake and various water sports/equipment hire available. There is not much else to do on site but there is plenty to do nearby, we visited York Dungeons, Flamingo Land (a bit overpriced at £25 entry fee per person, but really worth the money), and The Deep in Hull. The nearest supermarkets are in Beverley or Bridlington which are 10 or 20 minutes away by car, so I would recommend you stock up on food and drink before you go. The garage at the top of the road however does sell some bits and pieces and bottles of wine if you happen to run out! I felt the need to write a long review on this as we had the most fantastic week, and I don't feel the pictures and info provided quite do this place justice. I would recommend this park to both couples and families, as larger lodges are available. It really is worth a visit... 5 star!
Miss D from Glasgow

My husband and I have just stayed at Dragonsfly Watersedge at Dacre Lakes.I can honestly that this was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had!The hot tub was fantastic as was the HUGE bath - we cannot wait to return!
Mr C from Lincoln

I have just got back from a week away with my partner, we both absolutley loved it, I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!
Miss R from Halifax

Fantastic cabin, very clean and high quality. Steve, the manager, was very polite. The site was very clean and tidy and well kept.
Mrs. E from Nottingham

My husband and I have just come back from Dacre Park where we rented a lodge. Absolutely lovely setting, pictures on the internet do not do justice to these beautifully equipped lodges. So much to do and see in surrounding area - will definitely be booking to go again.
Mrs B from Doncaster

Spent a lovely 4 days in a lodge at this park. Lodge was exceptionally clean, modern and relaxing with the added benefit of the hot tub. We will definitely be recommending to friends and visiting again ourselves.
Mr B from Peterlee

We had such a relaxing time, in a luxuriously furnished cabin, in peaceful surroundings.
Mr S from Bingley

The lodges are amazing! This is our second time here - the staff are great and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
Miss C from Dewsbury

I would definitely recommend this holiday to others as it was completely relaxing and the accommodation first class!
Miss E from Wrexham

I'd recommend this holiday to those wishing to get away from it all and to stay somewhere a little different than the usual hotel etc. It's a perfect get-away for those wishing to relax and enjoy a little luxury.
Mr H from Leeds

I booked this lodge for my boyfriends 21st birthday. When we turned up we were amazed at the quality of the lodge and the size of it! The bathroom was lovely with a nice big bath, and we especially enjoyed the fact that you could sit in the hot tub outside with the doors open and watch the TV. The information pack provided gave loads of details about surrounding places to go, the Chinese restaurant about 5 minutes down the road (by car) was very tasty - we ordered a takeaway so not to be away from the hot tub for too long! I would advise anyone to go to these lodges, we will be hopefully going back later in the year.
Miss M from Wallsend

First impression - AMAZING, it beat all my expectations and more. On arrival at the park, the welcome and help was first rate, but not over powering. The lodge itself would be considered by me 5* - immaculate and homely, and the furnishings were modern and lovely. The rooms are large and spacious, (the pictures do not do it justice), and the hot tub was lovely and private. It was the type of break where no-one sees or bothers each other. The location is lovely and overall I will br returning this year, as quickly as possible!
Miss F from Manchester

It was snowing for most of the time but the lodge was so warm and comfortable, and the hot tub was wonderful. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful but never intrusive, and the local village had everything you could want, but there was a big supermarket a short drive away if needs be. I would recommend this holiday to anyone and I am hoping that we are able to go again next year - the best break I've had in years!
Miss H from Swanscombe

Beautiful, ultra modern log cabins, a beautiful park and surroundings and a beautiful hot tub. What more can you want!
Mr D from Hartlepool

The whole experience was fantastic and I would recommend this holiday to anyone. The cabins were beautiful, warm and cosy, the hot tub was amazing (especially in the snow, which was a bonus), and the staff were helpful and friendly. A first class holiday and I am booking again straight away!!!
Mrs H from Doncaster

The lodges are very luxurious, and the managers of the park are very helpful, friendly and they make you feel very welcome at Dacre Park. We stayed in Dragonfly by the pond and it was a delight to have the ducks and swans visit us every morning as we lazed in the hot tub. It is near a lovely little town called "Beverley" which had a fabulous Christmas Fayre with all fresh, local produce. There are some fantastic pubs/restaurants nearby, and I would definitely stay there again.
Mrs P from Gillingham

I would recommend Dacre Lakeside Park to anyone - the place is extremely clean and well kept, and the lodges are the height of luxury with amazing decor and stunning bathrooms. The staff on site were fantastic, really helpful, approachable and nothing was too much trouble, plus there was always someone on hand to help if you had a question. After viewing the information and pictures online we wondered if the place could really be as nice as it looked, but believe me, it exceeded our expectations and I cannot wait to visit again!
Mrs H from Oldham

I would definitely recommend this park/accommdation to both couples and families. My partner and I just wanted a completely relaxing break away and we had exactly that. The accommodation was fantastic - the images in the brochures do not do it justice!
Miss B from Bristol

Great place for relaxing and recharging the batteries.
Mrs C from Cannock

A quiet relaxing experience in a lovely location with lots to see and do in the local area. Very friendly swans and ducks.
Mrs W from Glasgow

A fantastic park, very friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. The park is improving everytime we visit, there is a lovely village to walk into, catering for all provisions and eating out for all ages. The lodges are first class and in beautiful settings. The park is ideal for fishing but we are not fishing people and it is just as good. An ideal park if you like golfing and the course is improving each year. We would recommend and have recommended the park to friends and family and we will certainly be going back, if not this year certainly next year again!!!!!!!
Mrs D from Barnsley

The lodge was a home from home and absolutely beautiful!
Mrs N from Nottingham

Simply fantastic lodges in beautiful surroundings.
Mr M from Ellesmere Port

Dacre Lakeside Park is an excellent location for relaxing, but is also within easy reach of the surrounding busier areas such as Bridlington and Beverley. It is our second visit to the park and we are still finding new places to visit nearby. Excellent accommodation - a home from home with added luxuries like the hot tub. We will definitely return!
Mrs S from Rotherham

Private and peaceful surroundings and excellent accommodation with plenty of wildlife around as the lodges are virtually on the lakeside. You are left in peace to get on with your holiday. Well situated with easy access to Hornsea, Bridlington, Beverly, Driffied and Hull plus Scarborough and Whitby too.
Mr B from Jarrow

One of the best places I have been too! From stepping into the place it was romantic, relaxing and 5 Star all over - I will be returning!
Mr W from Stockton-On-Tees

The accommodation was second to none and the whole experience was so relaxing. The fact that you could relax in hot tub after the hectic pace of Christmas shopping was brilliant and certainly would recommend the holiday to anyone.

Mr O from Alexandria

A lovely holiday. We sat in the hot tub on New Years Eve and on the stroke of midnight it started snowing, it was just magical. We would definitely go again.
Mr W from Derby

This is the third time I've been to this location and it is a fabulous place, especially the hot tub!
Mrs M from Port Glasgow

I would highly recommend a log cabin break holiday. Myself and my husband and two children have been back 2 years running and I will be booking another break later on in the year. I have told all my work colleges and friends about the breaks and as they are always asking me about how to book it I think I should be on commission (only joking) thank you very much Hoseasons for a lovely break.
Mrs P from Grimsby

A tranquil, well maintained park that overlooks the lake with its boating and windsurfing activities. Ducks and rabbits wander around the park and the lodge was furnished to a high standard with an extra special touch!
Mrs H from Bradford

Excellent holiday, lodges were in a great location, they were very clean and very modern. They are situated near a small village with 2 very good pubs (food very nice) The on site Club house was again very clean and modern with nice friendly staff. 15 minutes to Bridlington, which has a lovely beach and lots of shops. Would highly recommend these lodges and will be visiting again shortly.
Mrs J from Manchester

We had a fantastic week at Dacre Lakeside Park. The lodge was lovely, and really had the 'WOW' factor, and the hot tub was great and a real bonus. There was loads to do in the area - our family (mum, dad, twin boys (14) and daughter(16)), all chose somewhere to visit from the information folder in lodge. So we visited York Railway Museum, York Dungeons, Castle Howard, The Air Museum, The Deep (aquarium at Hull), Beverley Minster and an afternoon at Hornsea. All good, and we could easily have filled another week.
Mrs S from Bristol

It was relaxing and care free loved every minute of it.
Mrs M from Barnsley

Everything was brill, and even better than expected - we will all return again!
Mrs A from Nottingham

These lodges are brilliant as they cater for everyone right through the year, and the park managers were so helpful. The hot tub was a bonus and great to get into after a hard days windsurfing in November. The views of the lake were fine and the local village is great for a walk around, and also has everything you need for your stay. We tried the local chip shop, the local pub and butchers, and I would definitely go back to them for food again. All in all Dacre Lakeside Park is one of the best parks I have stayed on!
Mr S from Scarborough

Me and my family went for a holiday in October and had a wonderful time. Fantastic staff, a beautiful park and we would go again.
Mrs H from Knottingley

We have just got back from our stay at Dacre Lakeside Park - what a lovely place to go! The lodges are beautiful, fully equipped, lovely staff are on hand at all times and the hot tub was fantastic. We are going to book our next stay straight away! We took our 3 sons with us and they loved it too as there are plenty of places for days out, and a lovely pub with good food just up the road. Great if you want a good quiet break away to relax!
miss J from Waunfawr

A great relaxing weekend and we will be hoping to book again next year!
Mrs B from Huddersfield

The accommodation was great for our family including our dog, and the hot tub is an excellent luxury to use!

We have had an amazing time at Dacre Lakes. The cabin was lovely, beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The showers are fantastic and the hot tub was the icing on the cake, so relaxing we spent so long in it we nearly turned into prunes. The park is lovely, very reasonable facilities and it was lovely watching all the wildlife. We will be going back as soon as we can.
Mrs D from Hartlepool

My daughters booked this holiday for me to celebrate, all clear from cancer after 5 years. I was amazed at the cleanliness and standard of the accommodation and the staff were welcoming and friendly. This was my first experience of a hot tu - wow, and I didn't want the holiday to end. The local village was beautiful, as all Yorkshire villages are. Ending the day, (after a days Christmas shopping) sitting in the hot tub, watching the starry sky - is heaven. I can't wait to go again!

Its a super, relaxing place for couples and makes a great romantic break with the easy to use hot tub.

Mr B from St. Ives

I would recommend this holiday. The lodge was lovely with good facilities. We used the hot tub which was very nice. The lodge overlooked the lake and the children were able to feed to ducks and swans. There were various water activities which could be done on the lake at a small extra charge. a great base for exploring the surrounding area
Mrs N from Birmingham

A great base if you want to go furter afield to costal resorts and the Yorkshire Moors (Go-Ape and Steam Railway).
Mr T from Loughborough

The lodge was perfect, I loved the hot tub and the bathrooms - a real luxury!
Miss G from Worcester

Very tidy quiet site. Close to all amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Cosy, comfortable log cabins. Several good value pubs close by for food.
Mrs S from Runcorn

We spent a full week here and the only problem was that the lodge and the facilities were so good we didn't have time to venture out too much. The management were excellent, my daughter loved the water walker. I would highly recommend this park to anyone.

Mr L from Crewe

From booking to the last minute of our stay, the service couldn't have been any better! The Hoseasons consultant was fantastic and helped me find the perfect last minute break - it was wonderful. We loved every minute of our stay at Dacre Lakeside (everyone was lovely) and we will definitely be booking with Hoseasons again! Thank you :-)
Mrs M from Leigh

The accomdoation is first class, flat screen tv, under floor heating, even the ducks and rabbits are very firendly. Tracy and Steve are available for your every whim - if there are any - we couldn't find fault. The village is a stones throw away and has a Chinese, a lovely pub dating back to 1600's, fish 'n' chip shop and post office, what more could anyone want.
Miss D from Barnsley

Dacre Lakeside Park offers very good facilities in a very nice location. I would highly recommend staying there and I will do so again!
Mr H from Paisley

We found the lodge to be superb and the location was unbelievable! The whole holiday was like a dream, I booked it for my girlfriends birthday and she thought I had spent a fortune - in fact, the price was really good. I would definitely recommend this to any other person thinking of going. 10 out of 10 for everything - the staff were really helpful and polite, and I can't say enough about the place. We are definitley going back!!!
Mr M from Middlesbrough

Lodge very modern and clean. Good range of kitchen equipment. Hot tub superb
Miss B from Ashton-Under-Lyne

The accommodation here was fantastic, the cabin was lovely, it had everything we needed and the view over the lake from the hot tub was great. The small village of Brandesburton had everything we needed including a pub, Chinese restaurant, a fish and chip shop, restaurant, a small shop and newsagents and butchers.
Miss. F from Cramlington

The log cabins were excellent and we couldn't fault them. Even though there is nothing on the park, you are within walking distance to the rock factory and Brid itself, so if you want to go out of the complex you can! I would definitely go back to these cabins!
Miss B from Barnsley

A worthwhile winter getaway for a weekend with a difference. Watching the ducks and geese from the luxury of a hot tub is something else!
Mrs F from Goole

A fantastic holiday, great value for money and amazing accommodation!!!
Miss. J from Wolverhampton

A perfect location, quiet, relaxing and luxurious log cabins, and the perfect place to unwind and escape, yet the quaint town of Beverley is just a few miles away with beautiful restaurants and cafe culture. The coast is a similar distance in the other direction.
Mrs W from Grimsby

It is a great place to relax and unwind, and the accommodation is excellent. We have been 4 times now, each time to the same cabin and we will be going back next year - its like home from home for us!
Mr H from Derby

This was my 3rd visit to Dacre Lakeside Park. We had 3 cabins for my birthday weekend and nobody could fault the weekend - a great park and great managers.
Mr E from Sutton-In-Ashfield

A peaceful and relaxing location and we would use the park again if returning to that area.
Mrs J from Kettering

A lovely park with log cabin on the edge of the lake with nice views. A very relaxing break and I would go back again.
Mrs P from Leeds

The lodge we stayed in was very spacious, clean and very modern. We all had a fantastic time and we plan to book another one for next year. Excellent value for money and a great time was had by all 4 of us.
Miss G from Stanley

Our party visited Dacre Park in Bridlington and upon arrival we were extremely please with the cabin - the furnishings were brilliant, very up to date and it had a lovely view which overlooked the lake. We had a few rain days but we happy enough to stay in the cabin and play games - Monopoly was a favourite!, and having a few drinks. The hot tub was brilliant, in fact we were in it for hours as it was very relaxing. We also drove around the village and had a look around and found a lovely, friendly pub which served us a huge Sunday dinner within 5 minutes of requesting it. Overall we had a brilliant time and plan to go back to Dacre Park again next year as we enjoyed it so much and found it very relaxing. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone looking for that nice, relaxing break away from home.
Miss A from Nottingham

This is a fantastic park and the lodges are superb - we have been before and will definitely be booking again!
Mrs J from Consett

This holiday accommodation was better than the brochure - the hot tub was perfect and the view of the lake was very nice.
Mrs T from Stevenage

The staff were superb, very helpful and understanding.
Mr H from Liverpool

Excellent all round, super cabins and the nearby village has good pubs and fish and chips and shops. There is now a very demanding pitch and putt course on the complex so take your clubs and plenty golf balls (one of the holes has the tee on an island in the middle of a small lake) - HARD but good fun!
Mr S from Skipton

A great base for attractions in the area.
Mr H from Airdrie

Ive recommended Dacre Lakeside Park to lots of people as the standard of cabin was great. Just because we have dogs, we shouldn't have to compromise on quality, but at Dacre the quality we were looking for was there. Ae are planning many more holidays to the park!
Mrs. G from Oldham

I would recommend it and will be back there at some point in the future!
Mr M from Doncaster

This is the 2nd time we have been to Dacre Lakeside in Brandesburton. Mrs L from Ashton-Under-Lyne

An excellent standard of accommodation.
Mrs W from South Shields

This is our first taste of a Hoseasons holiday and we could not find any fault with the location, lodge or cleanliness. We all completely relaxed, and our dog was so laid back it was a real effort to get her back home, as with ourselves. The hot tub was superb, in fact the only problem we had was extracating ourselves from the two man kayak - needless to say we fell in but that added to the fun, especially the wet cold trip back to our wonderful lodge and heaven in the hot tub. Thank you so much, we will be back soon.
Mrs C from Whitstable

Luxurious accommodation, very clean, a warm welcome and the staff couldn't do enough to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and are looking forward to going back.

The lodges themselves are absolutely fantastic. Stunning decor, luxurious finishes and excellent bathing facilities made me happy to stay indoors too.
