No working heating all week. Reported on the tuesday but no one attended to it all week. . the convenience store was the worst I have ever been in and closing at 7pm is pathetic.
Michael from Bolton (07 September 2018)

Great holiday really enjoyed it caravan clean and tidy staff very helpful. . . the location was good as right on the beach. . . pool was a little small and only allow 45 min sessions but overall really good holiday.
Paul from Mansfield (01 September 2018)

Really enjoyed our 4 night break, the kids loved the amusements and entertainment.
Chris from Daventry (31 August 2018)

Noisy neighbours, old and dated caravan and pool that is far too small for size of the site...on the plus side we had a place to sleep
Shusha (27 August 2018)

There was fights when I wasn't there. children swearing. All the time. And my son was called fat on several occasions. From children. he was heart broken.
Anne from Stanley (27 August 2018)

Unfortunately the holiday parks security was poor so every night we were woken to the noise of people coming back to their caravans drunk because there was an entertainment centre in the park. Surely the club could see how drunk their customers were becoming before selling them more alcohol.
Michaela from Eastbourne (25 August 2018)

Great place for walks & family time x
Elizabeth from Stockton (24 August 2018)

Park facility's good. Only grumble other guests . smoking directly in way of. Entertainment complex
Trevor (24 August 2018)

Fantastic family time, nice and clean place, amazing and dedicate staff
Francisco from Rugby (24 August 2018)

The pool facilities was apaulling having to book a slot and no good for small children .the caravan out me up bed collapsed the first night we was there there was dog poo in a bag under the step and cig ends all over I deffinanlty will not be booking again I paid for wi-fi to 4 devices only worked on 3 went to reception and she said you will have to ring them apaulling again.
Victoria from Driffield (20 August 2018)

Such a lovely holiday! friendly staff, nice sized site. Great value for money. My difficult to please kids were asking on the way home when we can go back! big thumbs up!!
Alison from Burscough (17 August 2018)

I was told that the caravan was basic and it was, a bit worn and dated but very clean, I didn't draw the curtains of a night as most of the hooks were missing, so they hung down and a bit to close to the clubhouse for us with the noise. But overall the holiday was a good one and I would definitely stay there again
Jean from Pontefract (13 August 2018)

The pool was very disappointing considering the amount of caravans on the park. 37 people only allowed in for 1hr at a time!
Frank from Preston (13 August 2018)

Nice well maintained site. Club room was way too loud though and the nice quiet bar closed at ten but didn’t spoil holiday.
Deborah from Stoke On Trent (10 August 2018)

It was ok, site and caravan was smaller than ones we've been too prior. The bar/restaurant was untidy, tables a mess, food on the floor inside and out..no menus on the tables either. Only 2 members of staff on tops.
Laura from Hull (06 August 2018)

Great position on the site excellent view. Very disappointed with swimming booking in system very little staff in the bar and outside tables disgusting because no staff to clean up after some scruffy customers
Lorraine from Preston (06 August 2018)

Nice park not a lot for kids except play park and arcade noisy neighbour parties at night
Pamela from Sunderland (30 July 2018)

Cleanliness of the apartment was brilliant. Only negative side was , on the way the beach, dog fouling (which is not a holiday park's fault) was everywhere and most people were ignorant to pick up after the dog, although there were signs.
Muditha from London (30 July 2018)

Caravan smelt of urine and dogs. The cutlery was dirty and dishes put away dirty. Night time entertainment was good for kids.
Kelly (23 July 2018)

Noisy neighbours no wi-fi asked reception staff but were not interested was told nothing they could do to help as it was wifinity that supplied it but was charged for the week and had no wi-fi took a week for a refund very unhelpful staff. Gaming area too small for the amount of people on site. Dog barking continually every day from the caravan behind us and the owner out drinking and playing loud music after midnight not a good thing when you have young kids trying to sleep. We did not spend much time on site not much to do.
John from Glenfinnan (21 July 2018)

The restaurant ran out of ketchup salt and napkins. No appoligies. public areas run down and grubby. Feaces on seats of toilet in ladies and baby change. Cleaned but kept happening. only good thing was kids club
Margaret (16 July 2018)

Our holiday was nice we had a bit of an issue with our dog although we came as it was dog friendly however the manager we spoke to was very helpful and friendly. We would come back.
Cheryl from Ayrshire (13 July 2018)

Pleasantly surprised at the view from the van but even without it would still have been a pleasant stay we did have to leave early due to my wife having a accident. Considering the size of the sight one disappointing aspect was the shop it could defiantly do with an upgrade
Tony from Bradford (13 July 2018)

We didn’t have enough quilts and pillows didn’t know how to put bed out in the living room and neither did security and told them in the morning and they just said the boards go together
Chantelle from Hull (09 July 2018)

Caravan was clean and tidy . staff were great . kids loved the swimming pool . entertainment was good
Lesley-Anne from East Kilbride (06 July 2018)

Great site to be based at for visiting the surrounding area clean facilities friendly staff
Trevor (30 June 2018)

Very enjoyable short break
Edward from Butterknowle, County Durham (29 June 2018)

Caravan was lovely and had a sea view despite being at back of site. Very little to do. Play park very small and basic. Entertainment suite tiny. I'll stick with the main well known holiday park in future.
Sharon from Glasgow (18 June 2018)

We enjoyed our first stay so much we have booked up for a second week-end holiday and we are thinking of booking a full weeks holiday next year
Colin from Chester-Le-Street, Co.Durham (18 June 2018)

Took my 2 grand chidren for a week end 2year old and 5 year old they realy enjoyed it didn't want to go home the only problem I had was the caravan was a bit old fashioned and not much cooking equipment provided
Hazel from Bishop Auckland (18 June 2018)

Crimdon dene is a very beautiful unspoilt/non commercial beach/and area with bird wildlife conversation projects nearby. . it is suitable for dog walkers too ,and I found everyone to be most welcoming to well behaved dogs (in fact most the local people have well behaved dogs) local people very friendly and helpful . the caravan was clean beautiful/roomy and well equipped . . the pool was small but lovely but operates on you pre booking a 45 min slot with the life guard in advance. . shame that the spa pool was not working (as that was another reason I had booked that site ) as I now read from previous reviews that it has been broken for months (so thats my only bug bear ) I would definitely recommend and also I will go again, all the staff were lovely ..well supported with local buses to get into hartlepool to see the royal navy museum or the hartlepool museum . or get the bus to nearby seaham vey nice seaside town with its famous sculpture' billy' . the durham people were amazing friendly ,kind, welcoming and knowledgeable and helpful
Marie (18 June 2018)

Nothing wrong with the holiday park. Some (only some) of the clientele leave a bit to be desired, on a hot day they took chairs out to the play area to have a drink and watch the children play (which is fine) but then left piles of rubbish for the poor staff to clean up after them. Kids on playground at night also a bit out of control (bad language, etc.) but I guess that’s down to the parents. Bar area and restaurant is fine, staff are lovely and helpful, didn’t use the swimming pool as booking times weren’t convenient. Kids entertainment at night was a bit amateurish (but enthusiastic). overall no complaints, nice tidy site, reasonable facilities, good staff, good base to explore region.
Michael (02 June 2018)

Took over a hour to get our meals. Food is very over priced for what you get. Nothing in the shop barely that we wanted food wise. Night entertainment was very boring. Only get 45 mins in pool and have to book for everytime u want to go and pay extra for activities. weather was appalling so that didn't help either. Not a good holiday at all.
Sarah from County Durham (01 June 2018)

Caravan was clean and well maintained. . children’s entertainment was no more than adequate. The entertainers were of poor quality, most evenings there was a singing show, which was mostly out of tune. . the park is massively let down by the customer service and the extremely long wait for food in the restaurant. It took over an hour and our starters had still not arrived. I complained and asked for a refund. Not an apology in sight! in the end we eat in a pub down the road. Definitely avoid the restaurant! it seems from speaking to others that over an hour wait is common place and that is in quiet times, god knows what the wait is when it is busy.
Madeline from Cheshire (01 June 2018)

Excellent holiday kids entertainment excellent drinks a bit pricey would be the only thing to complain about but caravan lovely and clean too
Kelly from Sunderland (21 May 2018)

Hi I recently stayed in one of your caravans. And the first time I had been to that site with my 3 kids and mam. I would like to come back soon. I have had friends ask with I went and all of them have asked meveryone for the number to your site . as it was great value for my money what I payed . thanks again.
Sarah from Stockton On Tees (14 May 2018)

Took my push bike to ride. Bit disappointing as had 3 puntures(two in one day) as tyres could not cope with the roads/cycle paths in the area. May return in future but first make sure got better punture resistant tyres on bike as was nice long cycle path close to site. Staff were friendly and entertaining was ok.
Paul from Dewsbury (27 April 2018)

Unfortunately the caravan was not equipped for 5 people. Despite requesting extra equipment I did not receive it. There was no heating in the caravan and the park staff were not as friendly and welcoming as usual. We were not given our caravan keys until 30 minutes later than we were told. Although on the day of departure the cleaner was knocking on our caravan early! my husband was told in the club by your security staff he was not allowed to take our 7 year old daughter to the toilet in the men’s toilets. Which is discrimination, I did not receive this response as a woman when I took our daughter to the toilet. I am disappointed that crimdon dene did not live up to its usual standards. I don’t feel confident about visiting again due to all of this.

Weather was awful can't be helped but van was freezing! easter egg hunt was pointless as you had to leave the main building in fowl weather and the questions were impossible for kids. Room with bunk bed didn't have a ladder so son couldn't use it had to have him in the main room with me. Think it would be a nice place to visit in summer but winter will give a miss thanks we never did 1 activity due to being stuck in the van weather wise.

The caravan was clean and tidy. it had a slight smell but I would feel than in november a lot of them would. the main complex cafe/pool etc was basic and the amusement bit was not brilliant but at end of season I suppose this is why your prices are cheaper. I like the location and as a jump off point for local attractions it was well situated.

Absolutely loved the caravan we were allocated,, bayview 51. Lovely spot on the sight away from the amenities. Although I felt like the swimming pool size and bar size were nor adequate enough for the size of the caravan park.
Becky from County Durham (27 October 2017)

Everything apart from the food in the entertainment complex was ok. The chicken burritos were disgusting and the fish fingers were inedible. The staff seemed unaware of the meal deals and overcharged a couple of times. There was a lot of litter about and you always have to be careful where you put your feet because of dog poo. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the scenery was stunning.
Robert from Maidenhead (27 October 2017)

The park was pretty basic, entertainment was rubbish, restaurant food was not very good, very muddy around park, dog mess on kerb, rubbish lying around. Caravan was clean and pleasant.

We stayed at this park 2 years ago and had a great holiday. This time was unfortunately spoilt by an old, not particularly clean, very narrow caravan.
Karen from Fort William (20 October 2017)

Check in was lovely, very helpful member of staff. caravan was immaculate, park itself was clean and tidy. only downside was the show bar was a bit dated but by no means put us off using it.

Decent caravan/holiday site, dcc should take a look at cleaning up the access to the beaches near the site.
Malcolm from Bishop Auckland (16 October 2017)

Could have had everything supplied in lodge that was needed without. Having to ask. The veranda steps would have been better for my disabled. Husband if there were rails on both sides. Saying that, I have booked to go. Back there in the same lodge.he will have to come down steps backwards. With my help.
Margaret from Co Durham (16 October 2017)

The holiday was poor from start to finish . . at check in the service was very rehearsed and there was no personalisation, I felt like I was part of a panto act . . when complaints were made about the bed in the caravan we weren’t able to move . . at checkout when expressions of dissatisfaction were made, the staff were not forthcoming in providing a resolution or an apology. . the location of the caravan was very poor, the parking was difficult to locate so we drove right beside the caravan. We did not know that residents have barriers which are raised at their discretion, meaning we were unable to move our cars to to put on an evening and were limited the next morning as we had to wait for them to be removed

Lovely caravan all staff very helpful especially steve from security who helped us with the gas cooker and gave us information about the local area.
Tracey from Birmingham (22 September 2017)

Caravan and location were great. Clubhouse spoilt because entertainment staff couldn't control children later in the evenings.
Edward from Butternowle, County Durham (22 September 2017)

Caravan very basic and cold not comfortable .paid similar prices and had excellent accomadation.at other parks..first two nights still doing children's stuff no entertainment.restuarant lounge was closed .poorly lit around the caravan.only stayed 2 nights..

Very modern and clean caravan. The park was lovely and clean with a sea view. We went out of season (2nd week of sept) disappointed with the entertainment. Only eat once in the restaurant and found the food pricey and not the best. The staff were lovely. Such a shame you have to book the swimming pool in advance as when your on holiday you don't really plan ahead.
Allen from Lowestoft (15 September 2017)

The only complaint about the whole holiday is that our dog was not allowed in the clubhouse. After paying 40 pounds to bring the dog it was a bit much to have to sit outside when it was raining and the clubhouse was empty.
Cindy from Kendal (11 September 2017)

Had a fab time , lovely views, friendly helpful staff
Elisa from Sandiacre (09 September 2017)

Booked 2 caravans out of season and have to say had a great time. Both caravans nice and clean. Location great and staff great. Club and pool may be a bit small for site but apart from that all ok
Brenda from Lancaster (08 September 2017)

The place was great pool lets it down . caravan was clean would been nice if some sort path to road more mud than grass this van had brush so could keep tidy some don't ,this upsets me as I like keep place clean , really loved nature reserve and children enjoyed try to find the stones ,
Christina (01 September 2017)

Caravan was very smelly upon arrival! staff extremely unhelpful and argumentative!swimming pool had to be booked in advance for use, which we were not aware of, arrived there friday and didn't get to use pool until sunday 3pm and only for 45 minutes. Kids were very disappointed! kids disco was too loud and the place was too small and overcrowded. In the end got so fed up , we spent our days visiting the town and durham city. There's a farm just in the opposite road to the park which is quite good and kept the kids entertained but only for small children ours are 6and 4. Overall we were very disappointed and will never book crimdon dene again.
Hema from Eastbourne (28 August 2017)

The caravan was perfect , it was a shame the arcades where too small as there wasn't enough machines for everyone. I thought the swimming pool changing rooms were too small and not enough for everyone and I didn't like it that I had to book a swim a day in advance , there was rubbish scattering the bins area most of the week, I paid for the internet up to four devices but we couldn't get and reception in side the caravan, I had to be out side the caravan to receive internet. The access to the beach was ok apart from all the dog mess and glass on the path leading to the beach, we had a lumpy matress in the main bedroom
Catherine from Cranswick (28 August 2017)

We had a nice time the caravan was great and the staff where great
Teresa (28 August 2017)

Very nice site with easy access to attractions in the nearby area.
Eva from Worcester (26 August 2017)

Caravan could do with a better clean, vac carpet and clear cob webs. Could not believe there was not an iron in caravan and that there was a charge to get one. Great views, site was clean and well presented, fantastic for walks. Will certainly go again and next time take or dog with us.
Cary from Sleaford (26 August 2017)

Overall a great place to stay only issue I had was the path down to the beach is quite steep and I found it quite difficult to get back up
Donna from Rugby (26 August 2017)

Fantastic place, we have been 3 times now and plan on coming back next year..we had a lodge this time and couldn't fault it, so clean and luxurious, absolutely beautiful, could of stayed a lot longer.
Richard from Blackpool (25 August 2017)

Was surprised and pleased with this site, had 2 parks and a shop which I expected then found it had an entertainment building with a restaurant, showbar, arcades and swimming pool. The arcades was small but had plenty of 2p machines which is a parents godsend and the restaurant cost was similar to a wetherspoons so not too bad, only downside was the wait for meals which was an hour on the tuesday. The site was quiet although quite large and it was right on top of the beach with easy access, there was a couple of local takeaways and an asda 10 mins away. The caravan was clean and well equipt and as a huge bonus beds were made up on arrival.
Nicola from Kent (25 August 2017)

I had a good holiday but I had to leave early due to my food going off as the fridge freezer wasn't working right and I tyred to get hold of someone about it but no one got back to me. So the money I had for my girls had to miss out on due to me buying food from the shop in crimdon dene which was very expensive. I could not go to any other shops as don't drive.
Cheryl from Darlington (25 August 2017)

Brilliant holiday
Jean from Stockton (21 August 2017)

Caravan was well equipped and in great spot , staff in reception were fab , club house good. nice walks plus was a bonus that weather was really good .
Elizabeth from Stockton On Tees (18 August 2017)

We enjoyed our stay at crimdon dene. Lovely place and lovely people. Thanks
Malina from Manchester (18 August 2017)

Facilities to small for such a large park.had to book time to go to the pool.entertainment ok but standing room only.
Daniel from Bletchley (18 August 2017)

The caravan was lovely and couldn't fault cleanliness however facilities were dire had to book a swimming slot we arrived monday and couldn't get a slot until thursday evening when we were due to leave on the friday, the entertainment was poor, the food was very overpriced for the quality which wasn't very good. It is advertised as direct beach access but does not state that their are very steep steps and it is impossible to get a buggy down let alone a wheelchair.
Paula from Thornton Cleveleys (18 August 2017)

We had the best holiday. We loved the location right by the sea what a view to wake up to each morning. We had a basic caravan which was clean and served its purpose. The facilities are very good. The entertainment staff work extremely hard but the entertainment became a little repetitive after a few nights and was boring. The pool is too small for the size of the park and it wasn't very clean. All the staff were helpful. The location is brilliant we went to tweedle farm which we thought was outstanding for children of all ages and adults. Wet and wild is not too far away either we enjoyed a day trip there. Seaton carew is a must to visit lots of arcades, beach and a lovely dessert shop called jo jo gelato. Overall we had an amazing time we throughrouly enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely visit again
Rebecca from Walsall (14 August 2017)

Not basa for kids, caravan a bit dirty. Gas fire not working took them 2days to come and sort it out after 2 complains.
Fungayi from West Midlands (11 August 2017)

Entertainment complex is made out to be big with lots going on. There was a lot on but mostly aimed at the kids, the actual entertainment hall was small and not enough arcades for the size of the caravan park. . yes there is direct beach access but not recommended for people who struggle to walk as the steps can be quite steep. Restaurant was clean and had lots of choice. . great place to go if your one for letting the kids out of your sight while you go to the bar. Or great to go if you like to not do very much. . if your placed in a caravan near the entertainment hut it can be quite loud and you can have a good giggle at the drunk conversations you hear.
Allison from Luton (07 August 2017)

Caravan was nice. . not a lot to do on site, the entertainment centre was too small for the size of the caravan park. . nothing near by in walking distance.
Mavis from Luton (07 August 2017)

Enjoyable
Mark from Liverpool (05 August 2017)

Site was very old, we had a change of caravans as the first one was falling apart and had not been cleaned. The staff where very good but let down by the owners. They have pictures on the web site that look nothing like the caravans. Swimming pool had to be booked in advance and with this you could not plan your day.
Brian from Colchester (05 August 2017)

We turned up and the caravan was dirty and unlevel, the cooker shelf was missing, toilet seat broken, oven kept going out on its own, the beds creaked so much when u turned in the nite that it woke all 6 of us. My partner is heavily pregnant and nearly fell of the bed in the nite because the van was so unlevel, we had a manager out who agreed but didn't have another van to offer, she said it would all be sorted to which we waited in two mornings and no one even turned up, it ruined all of ours holiday and we was discusted with the poor customer service we received. And to top it all of we had a neibour who had there music in the car so loud for hours we couldn't sleep or watch tv etc. It was just one of the worst holidays i've had in many years and the park and caravan were shocking.
Conan from Isle Of Wight (05 August 2017)

We had a wonderful time setting was amazing accommodation flawless the only problem is size everything on site needs to be bigger the launderette was so small you could only fit one person at a time! the restraint food was good quality but an awful not available and the pdf menu was not the same one they were using on site catering for a vegan that was really important, the kids entertainment was great lots to do the only problem was mislabelling on a few activities krew breakfast was only one character not all I was told not enough staff on site to have them all out kids was disappointed, and pottery was painting pre made plaster of paris figures not quite the same as making your own but small adjustments this place can definitely beats pontins!
Emma from Manchester (29 July 2017)

The caravan smelt, a manager came and said she would get the lounge area, kitchen and bathroom cleaned again. The lounge area had a horrible smell all the time we were there. It was the worst smelliest caravan I have ever stayed in - and we go approximately 3 times a year. The restaurant was terrible .. ordered steaks which came without 2 of the items which were supposed to be served with it. The indian platter was served missing 3 items .. when I asked these were then brought 10 minutes later. Our plates weren't cleared away ..not even when a dessert was brought to our table.
Joanne (28 July 2017)

Really enjoyed it the only thing that I didnt like was the laundrett t was too small and not enough washers and dryer
Dawn from County Durham (28 July 2017)

Pleasant caravan in quiet spot. More staff needed in restaurant during peak times as no clean table to sit at.
Clare from Cramlington (24 July 2017)

We did not expect maintenance to be done and were not much affected when it was not as we mended the toilet seat and the coaxial cable to the tv by ourselves (lucky we brought the tools!).
Peter from London (22 July 2017)

Lovely caravan , very clean . beds were made on arrival . only downside we found of the park itself was having to book a slot to go in the swimming pool and that the food in the restaurant was overpriced so we didn't eat there . staff were friendly and helpful . will definitely visit again .
Karen from Loughborough , Leicestershire (22 July 2017)

Second year at crimdon dene holiday park, lots to see and do both on and off site, great time had by all the family
Sionaid from Glenrothes (17 July 2017)

The caravan was to small for a party of 7 was not happy at all about the caravan the holiday it's self was a very good holiday had a great week
James from Wishaw (17 July 2017)

Easy check in, staff friendly. easy enough to find the caravan once you realise that each 'named section' of caravans has 2 rows. as site is on a slope, and there is no hard standing for car, we couldn't park car outside the caravan. This also made it really muddy (due to heavy rain) for us, as we had to walk through grassy area (no path) to reach caravan. the caravan was as expected comfort wise, with beds made up etc. Lovely sea view from living area. unfortunately some really dirty corners and pots not washed out from previous occupants. we had a lovely time, slept well and the kids enjoyed the entertainment. the amusement machines kept breaking down and felt we spent more time asking for then to be fixed than actually playing on them. I felt sorry for the staff, who never complained, just came to our rescue, every time we asked for their help.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Edinburgh (14 July 2017)

Arrived late due to traffic. Caravan stank of urine and dog. carpet and sofa's covered in dog hair. radiators and walls covered in mud. kitchen was dirty. have emailed hoseasons on return on 15th july and waited until 12th august for a reply. cleaner did nothing after we complained. stay away!
Shaun from Fort William (10 July 2017)

Great family holiday. 3 boys loved it.
Tracy from Linwood (07 July 2017)

Great hoilday coming all the way from ireland only let down is booking the pool also food felt not up to standard last bit is tv was no subtitles as it was not on the remote i'm deaf and needed it
Lisa from Ireland (29 May 2017)

Nice clean caravan and very fair weekly rate staff were nice and helpful would stay again
Sylvia (19 May 2017)

We last stayed here 9 years ago and used it as a base to explore. We did the same this time visiting amongst others beamish and hartlepool maritime experience. We didn't use any of the facilities on site, but it was well maintained and peaceful.
William from Sheffield (19 May 2017)

Enjoyable stay, plenty to see and do. The entertainment in the evening is good and caters for all ages.
Andrew from Buxworth High Peak (15 May 2017)

Holiday was fine unfortunate weather so cold that week. Caravan had. A few problems but the staff were quick to correct them when asked. Next caravan had a works van leave every morning at 6.30 a.m. Parked just. Outside my bedroom it was disappointing to be wakened so early every day
Dorothy from Montrose (01 May 2017)

Worst holiday I have ever had, ruined my 68 th birthday, still awaiting a complaints form. Static flooded with overflow on toilet spent my birthday mopping and cleaning the static.
Audrey from Greater Manchester (01 May 2017)

The main reason we booked there was for the swimming pool,us adults never got in and the kids went in twice as it was too full..there was no frying pan and the grill kept going off all the time,so we kept having to get maintenance out,not happy won't b returning
Lisa (21 April 2017)

Lovely location. Beautiful views. Close to hartlepool with museums, shops cinemas and other venues. . there are multiple play areas. beach isn't easily accessible for disabled or babies in buggies but for abled people the beach is beautiful. There are rough pebbled and boulder areas as well as sand for large and small kids to build castles. . entertainment venue is too small for size of park and amount of visitors. . . for bingo lovers the site links with sister sites to increase prize money. . . prices in shop and bar are fair. . our family was disappointed in the pool area. Pool very small and as you have to book so far in advance we only managed swimming twice out of 7 days. . . restaurant area is spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly. you can have a coffee on the terrace whilst your little ones are playing. . there is one pool table which you have to pay £5 deposit for the cues then £1 per game. You may have a while to wait as there's a rota/queue. Kids can play without adult supervision which isn't something we are akin to - we didn't like it when they became pests. . . tourers may want to review the site if they are thinking of holidaying. There were so many vans and trucks with the caravans it looked more like a gypsy camp. . there are long term caravans on this site. Personally I think there should be further investment from park resorts to enhance the site for them i.e. trees, gardens, sitting areas etc. They may wish to do away with touring sites.
Maria from Edinburgh (14 April 2017)

Unfortunately our holiday was cut short due to family illness but the short time we spent at crimdon was lovely.
Janet from Jersey (07 April 2017)

Great place.
Slawomir from Edlington (31 March 2017)

We used it as a base to visit family, but it is a well placed site for visiting the north east good road links. This is a large site but well positioned near hartlepool. A well stocked shop was available on site with friendly staff. It was value for money with wonderful sea views.
Dawn from Plymouth (07 October 2016)

Full of drunken toe rags who just wanted to argue and fight .will not return .they were picking fights even with people who there with there families.never again.
Tony from Newcastle (26 September 2016)

We just wanted a break from everything and to take the dogs with us. I was a bit disappointed that we were given a bronze caravan because of the dogs but I could understand, however I was pleasantly surprised by the caravan it was an 8berth clean and tidy, we had great views and the beach was brilliant for the dogs. We didn't bother the staff much but when we did they were helpful and polite, the only downside was the 4pm checkin that's a whole day of your holiday wasted.
Colin from Ashington Northumberland (23 September 2016)

Caravan was spotless with everything in staff all very friendly. Teamstars where great with kids and adults. Good entertainment every night.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Durham (17 September 2016)

Had a very good holiday
Ian from Castleford (12 September 2016)

We had a 4 day stay at crimdon dene and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to go to beamish and to the other n e attractions without excessive travelling. There is not a fantastic lot to do on site but as we only use it as a base we were very satisfied.
Brian from Doncaster (09 September 2016)

Lovely site, the caravan was basic but adequate for our needs. the site was huge but very well kept and the location was perfect for us and our dog.
Elaine from Manchester (09 September 2016)

Very large site with small facilities and expensive food and drink
Michael from Pontefract (02 September 2016)

Although our caravan was lovely (cleaners need a lesson in how to clean ). it wasn't the cleanest for it being a new caravan the fridge door didn't shut properly as the seal was broken and the blinds in the kitchen window fell down as soon as you touched then. This was reported to reception and fixed quite quickly. Or so we thought. The fridge door had to be constantly checked to make sure it was sealed. The facility's of the park it's self were by far the worst I have seen for a caravan park of this size. I think that having to book to use the pool is the worse thing I have ever came across. Both my children love to swim and we're looking forward to doing it every day but only manager to get in once. The parks in site were tiny but fine for my 5 year old. Although my 2year old had nothing to go on therefore got board really quick. The kids entertainment was horrendous to the point where they would relay her stay in that go to it. So all in all I liked the caravan but would never return as there is nothing for the kids to do at all.
Jenny (02 September 2016)

Awful holiday ! loud residents in the adjacent caravan kids runnin about and adults drinking and shouting until gone 2 in the morning, every night! restaurant extremely busy, unclean tables, cold food which had to be sent back! couldn't get a seat in the showbar as the room was too small! limited swimming sessions ! will not return
Alison (29 August 2016)

Facilities too small for the amount of guests, couldn't get in to the night time entertainment so missed it all, had to book a time slot for swimming and there was none free, waited 2 days out of our 3 for the tv to be fixed and fed the baby 4 times in her pram waiting for a high chair.
Ricky from Darlington (29 August 2016)

When we arrived the toilet was broken, there was a leak under the sink, the bed in the lounge was broken and wallpaper was hanging off. . I told the staff about the toilet and an engineer came after 30seconds he said it was fixed. However it was not fixed. . . would not recommend.
Stephen from Coventry (29 August 2016)

Horrible holiday. Caravan unclean on arrival, stank and no apology given. facilities are poor for size of site. Having to book pool sessions, managed one, one hour for the whole week holiday. would have to pay me to return.
Kelsey from Manchester (26 August 2016)

Wish there was more paths to walk on instead of walking on road with kids

We stayed in crimdon dene before and really like it so that's why we come back but this last time unfortunately the caravan wasn't very nice the toilet smell terrible and will make all the caravan and it didn't look very clean in general
Ana from Isle Of Wight (22 August 2016)

Awful place to stay reception staff really rude. Show room very small. Pool visable from bar (didn't like at all so didn't use). caravan site far to big for the small facilities that are available. A caravan set on fire a burnt to a crisp whilst there no one was injured but crimdon dene made no . attempt to secure the area or move it, kids could quite easily play on it.
David from Accrington (12 August 2016)

We had a lovely time apart from the weather. Caravan was nice liked the walk in shower. I thought the prices had gone up quite a bit since last time.
Susan from London (08 August 2016)

Dissapointing no chairs or table to sit on the veranda need to book facilities in advance like pool set times .
Anthony from Chester (08 August 2016)

Was good but felt a bit cramped and food a little expensive menu could look at being updated but all in all good resort
Kevin from Andover (08 August 2016)

Sorry to say the site is old and shabby. I don't like caravans propped up on breeze blocks 5 and six high. Not that our rental van was. Lots of caravans on site should have been in the scrap yard years ago. Our hire caravan was dirty inside with sand on the table a dirty fridge the shower base surround was dirty. To be honest id sack the cleaners if I was the boss. Even the pots and pans had grease on the lids. You could tell its a residential site with old bangers on site a real dole dossers area. Would I go again ?? not on your life
Derek from Wolverhampton (06 August 2016)

Facilities too small for size of park. Had to book in to go swimming-sessions not long enough. Staff were rude and very unhelpful. Mainly receptionists. Nighttime entertainment was good. Children got bites from the beds and bedding was dirty. Play area very basic.
Andrew from Stoke (06 August 2016)

Everything we needed, very friendly and kids loved it.
Nicola (01 August 2016)

We had a great time it was in a lovely location, was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was much better than expected as it was so cheap to book would definitely recommend it as a caravan holiday!
Sarah from Oxford (01 August 2016)

This has been my families first holiday in 11 years and we had never visited the north east coast, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would book at crimdon dene again in a heartbeat my kids wanted to stay really great site great clean caravan great location and the staff could not help enough. The club was great the only criticism I have is the size of the club compared to the site size it is to small but in fareness I would stand up every night to watch my kids smile and laugh and enjoy the excellent entertainment.
Christopher from Wolverhampton (29 July 2016)

Good holiday lovely beach thought dryers and washing machines a bit steep
Elizabeth from Ulverston (23 July 2016)

Absolutely brilliant time, went with my sister and my two children (10 & 15) and found something to do everyday that suited everyone. We can't wait to book next years holiday back at crimdon dene, well worth the 4 hour drive
Sionaid from Fife (23 July 2016)

What a fantastic week! staff were friendly and more than helpful. Caravan was lovely. Entertainment was fab. 10/10 we will definitely be returning!
Nicola from Middlesbrough (22 July 2016)

Pool let it down. Not big enough for size of park. Being limited to 1 hour which had to be booked. And 3 changing rooms not enough to accommodate people coming out at same time as people go on.
Ian (15 July 2016)
