We have just returned from a holiday at Crake Valley. First impressions was a lovely, clean park and well presented. The caravans are home from home, again very clean with everything provided. The caravans and lodges have ample space between them giving plenty of privacy and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. Situated in a lovely spot looking down on Coniston water, great walks from the park, and in a good spot to visit other areas within the Lake District.

Mr P from Harrogate

The park was small, quiet and well cared for. We were able to walk to Coniston Waters in a few minutes and had some glorious views all around. We were easily able to reach Windermere, Grizedale Forest and Keswick and spent time enjoying the whole area - we would come again!

A lovely little park, peaceful and quiet, very clean, and an excellent base to visit all of the Lake District. The owners work very hard on the upkeep of the park and it is well deserving of its David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. I would highly recommend this park to all!
Mrs R from Leigh

Excellent holiday, set in beautiful surroundings, staff couldn't be more helpful. Caravan spotless. Will be going again later in the year.
Mrs H from Scunthorpe

The site has an excellent location, right next to Coniston Water, which was perfect for walking the dog. Only a small number of caravans on the park so very private and relaxed.
Miss T from Wigan

This campsite is well located. If you want a nice break then this is the place to be. Set in a peaceful location, ideal for walkers right near Coniston Lake.
Mrs J from Manchester

If you want a walking holiday in the Lake District, and somewhere really quiet to retire to at the end of the day with very good accommodation, then the Crake Valley is the place for you. If you don't want to travel to a walk there are plenty of walks in the area, including the Old Man of Coniston. We have been here the last three years and will be going again.
Mrs D from Farnborough

This park is an ideal base for hillwakers and mountaineers in the Lake District with easy access to all areas.
Mr C from Glasgow

Lovely little camp-site, peaceful and quite, very clean, and an excellent base to visit all of the Lake District. The owner's work very hard on the upkeep of the site, and the site is well deserving of it's David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. Would highly recommend this camp-site to all.
Mrs R from Leigh

Our holiday at Crake Valley was wonderful. The location is fantastic, with panoramic views from the caravan of the surrounding mountains and countryside. The owners were very friendly and helpful and kept the site in perfect condition. We will definitely be going back and will be trying out one of the lodges next time.
Mrs R from Ipswich

Located with good scenic road access to the north/south lakes, and nearby villages for provisions, pub meals (Farmers Arms is excellent). A small, secluded and quiet park which offers full amenities i.e. freezer/washing machine facilities and fully equipped and spotless caravans, and a real bonus to find a DVD player! A friendly and helpful staff team, and literally a 10 minite walk to lakeshore for day/evening walking (permitted pathways) and a daytime boat connection to the north lake end. Basically, if you are looking for a 'back to nature' base to explore lakeland, this caravan park offers everything. I am definitely going to use this park from now on for ALL my lakeland visits!
Mr B from Leigh-On-Sea

If you want a nice, quiet park within driving distance of lots of places then this is the one for you! Very clean and comfortable accommodation - it was a perfect holiday!
Mrs D from Blyth

A great base and the setting is lovely. Just watch out if there are more than two of you or you have kids if the weather is cold.
Mrs J from Selby

Location and the lakes on your door step.
Miss C from Telford

If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil place then Crake Valley is the place to be. There are some beautiful walks in the surrounding area, even just having a day relaxing in the wonderful, well equipped caravan is the perfect relaxation tonic. If you fancy a night off from cooking then there is a great country pub at the cross roads in Torver where you can get a hearty meal at a reasonable price, and the atmosphere is very warm, welcoming and friendly - well recommended!!

Well equipped accommodation, in a very beautiful and tranquil setting,. The site is peaceful and offered us a great base for exploring the local area of Coniston and with easy access to routes further afield in this lovely part of the Lake District. We all loved the balcony with our ever changing view of The Old Man of Coniston and surrounding fells.
