We had a fantastic time at clowance estate. The lodge we stayed in had everything you could want. The lodge is well thought out with plug sockets everywhere you need them and also plenty of storage space. It was lovely and quiet and incredibly relaxing.
Emma from Crawley (01 September 2018)

We had a lovely time at clowance estate in one of the new lodges. Beautiful place with lots to do on site. Well located to go out exploring to.
Emma from Haywards Heath (31 August 2018)

Nicola (03 August 2018)

Fantastic holiday, can’t wait to rebook
Suzanne from Heywood (28 July 2018)

This year myself and some friends decided we’d go away with our families to cornwall, we consist of 6 adults and 6 children ranging from the youngest being 2 and eldest 8. We booked what’s known as either bestgate or the gatehouse, my friends in the treehouse and woodlands lodge. Me and my family love to travel, just in the last year we’ve been to sydney, new york, vienna and tuscany but never in a million years realised that we’d fall in love with cornwall just as much! clowance estate is situated perfectly to go out and explore what cornwall has to offer, we went to st ives, port isaac, lands end, st michaels mount and another beach near lands end I can’t remember the name of which was idyllic! the grounds are absolutely beautiful and meant that any ‘down time’ was thoroughly enjoyed by adults and children, there’s plenty to do and you could easily stay on the estate for the entire week. I made use of the adults only swim time one morning, the pool was clean and nice and quiet and we did see the children’s hour which looked like a lot of fun. The accommodation - simply stunning, hot tubs, saunas, copper baths, dishwashers, hi tech ovens really helped make our holiday even more enjoyable. Furnished beautifully we were all absolutely gutted to be leaving! every member of staff we encountered were polite and beyond helpful and we haven’t hesitated to recommend our holiday to everyone that will listen. We will definitely be returning to cornwall, one million per cent be staying at clowance estate. We didn’t take our dogs but would consider taking them next time, the cornish love their dogs and I know ours would’ve thoroughly enjoyed it had we taken them!
Natasha (27 July 2018)

An amazing bit of peace and quiet. lodges are beautiful place is outstanding. Loved it.
Colleen from Leicestershire (23 July 2018)

This was by far the best cabin lodge experience ever we seemed to have been given accommodation which was better than what we booked! only downfall wasn’t clear about the barbecue not being on the property and there wasn’t a microwave for sterilising baby bottles! on the whole the visit was amazing and we would definitely visit again!
Sukjeet from West Bromwich Birmingham (23 July 2018)

We had spent a lovely week with our two sons. It is definitely a peaceful relaxing place. Certain parts are 'dated' and during our stay we had workmen behind us working away from early morning, before 7am! there was a bit of noise but it didn't bother is that much. The children's play area is a bit dated and hidden away. The swimming pool is also a bit tired on it too.
Karen (21 July 2018)

Absolutely loved it..place and accommodation was fantastic. would go back in z second
Lesley from Paidley (09 July 2018)

The lodge wasn't as clean as we would expect, with fly filled cobwebs in the corners, thick dust and fluff under sofas and beds. The decking was quite shabby with large areas of peeling paint. The wi-fi wasn't working when we arrived and we were without it for three days. The gardeners left a terrible mess when they strimmed near the lodge and didn't clean up so we had remains of weeds/briers and nettles on the decking which isn't ideal with a toddler running around. The staff in reception were very friendly. The first time we ate in the restaurant it was very good, unfortunately the second time was a real let down and we ended up having two meals and drinks credited by way of an apology for the awful food. we had an electric heated hot tub with our lodge which was very good, unfortunately the lodge next to us had a woodfired hot tub, when they lit it we had to close all of the windows as the smoke filled the lodge and made it very unpleasant, it spoiled some of our evenings as we couldn't sit out unless we wanted to sit in smoke. There are more woodfired hot tubs being fitted with the newer lodges and this could make for a very smoky environment if they are all being used at the same time.
Juliet from Gloucester (07 July 2018)

Great location very peaceful and good location for other attractions. Log cabin was fantastic with reasonable views. The golf course was disappointing and requires investment and is not a 18 hole course.
Debra from Monmouth (16 June 2018)

Fantastic weekend break, couldn’t fault the venue facilities or accommodation.
Stacey (20 May 2018)

Outstanding, because our studio apartment wasn’t ready as still being built we were given the biggest house that was new!!! it was huge with all mod cons 3 double bedrooms all with large wet rooms and stand alone baths. Hot tub and balcony and several seating areas. . beautiful view over the golf course. Thankyou clowance estate. We had ended up with a private driveway and huge house that would have cost approx three times more than we paid for the week. very satisfied customer

Lovely place. Being updated while we stayed. Will be amazing once finished however i've noticed the massive price increase and doubt we will be back for that reason. Reception lovely. Area lovely. Only problem we had was the builders coming in to do some measurements while we were there!! odd.
Rachel (13 April 2018)

Lovely place

Lovely place
Caroline from Cardiff (02 April 2018)

We had a fantastic stay during february half term. The lodge was very well equipped and it was very comfy! . the on-site resources were excellent and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant. The only thing we would say that needed improving was the hot tub as the lodge we stayed in slept up to 8 but there was only room for 2 in the hot tub.

Deborah from Ipswich (27 December 2017)

Lovely restaurant. The food was fantastic.
Karen from Taunton (08 September 2017)

Very expensive was for 8 people but hot tub was only for 2 people also not enough beds for 8, no internet access at all in lodge, and ended up with an unexpected bill cos kids watched films and I wasnt aware they could watch them without pin from an adult.
Lee (02 September 2017)

The room was clean, could do with a bit of modernisation and paint but was well equipped. Stunning surroundings and everything was in driving distance! food was a disappointment
Matthew (28 August 2017)

The grounds are idyllic & the lodge was beautiful. There is plenty to do at the clowance estate should you want to. We went as a family of 6 with 4 girls aged 15, 11, 9 & 8. The pool was lovely and warm and a particular favourite of the younger 2 although it wasn't very shallow. The reception staff were always happy to help & very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas as were the bar staff. The evening entertainment was fantastic & well worth making the effort to go and listen/watch & take part. There were 2 rowing boats that you can take out free of charge & if you're lucky you may see the kingfishers on the lake. There is also a new game (also free) called frisbee golf - now that is really good fun, just watch you don't lose your frisbee! there are giant chess & draughts, tennis, badminton, bootcamp, archery (for a fee) and segway (also for a fee - but comparable to elsewhere) we will be going again.
Deborah from Warrington (26 August 2017)

Lovely place, been before and will be back again!
Kate (26 August 2017)

I booked a holiday for 4 people and only got 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed. I have never had this experience before. The hot tub was broken down. There was no wifi which at these prices is insane blaming cornwall is not good enough the local wetherspoons had it and everywherelse I have stayed has had it as well. it badly needs a renovation if I had booked it as a cheapy 3 star ok but not as this price. 1 piece of cutlery each and furniture over 20 years old is not acceptable. I shouldnt have to wash up between courses. Resturant had a nice view but no choice or entertainment. we stay in cornwall 3/4 times a year and this is the worst we have had.
Rhiannon from Clevedon (21 August 2017)

Lovely spacious apartment, beautiful grounds to explore, good facilities such as tennis courts and swimming pool, good quality food and drink if a little expensive.
Jenny from Ely (21 August 2017)

Lodge décor was tired and in need of updating. sauna did not work despite being reported and "repaired" during our stay. . . chargeable wifi should be offered in the lodges given the lack of mobile coverage in the area.
Rosemary from Cardiff (19 August 2017)

Disappointing. We were offered a so called upgrade about which we should have received an email. This was not what was booked being smaller. Refurbishment was going on next door, hardly a holiday vibe. Accommodation was dark. Leisure and restaurant facilities need radical updating.
John from Plymouth (18 August 2017)

As if the windy and rainy weather wasn't bad enough, the customer service we received at clowance estate was poor. From our failed attempt to order any food that required gas powered cooking, to having pizzas delivered to our lodge (a widely advertised and yet apparently unknown service). from being overcharged for said pizzas, to the attempted charging for a phone call that was never made, this was a frustrating visit. The staff at clowance lodge really need help with their customer service skills. . . also, despite being in a lodge which can apparently sleep up to 8 people, the hot tub is only big enough for 2.
Alan from Bristol (11 August 2017)

Bit annoying have screaming children above us and running about at silly hours. maybe put young children in ground floor to avoid the disturbed sleep we had. comfortable apartment though.
Tessa from Southsea (11 August 2017)

Another fantastic week at clowance, can't wait to return!
Adrian from Gloucestershire (05 August 2017)

Excellent holiday, felt very comfortable.loved the segway tour. plenty to do,beautiful settings
Sharon from Oxfordshire (04 August 2017)

We really enjoyed our stay at clown creek estate, beautiful gardens with plenty of space
Rachael from Wolverhampton (04 August 2017)

Great stay with lots to do and every you could possibly need in the apartments
Lee from Braintree (31 July 2017)

Brilliant place. A hidden gem!
Nikki from Chessington (31 July 2017)

Need a car to explore area
Carol from Leicester (29 July 2017)

A nice and very clean lodge in a fantastic location. The park facilities are ok although the restaurant and bar area are fairly poor and feel more like an airport lounge as there is no atmosphere at all and bar seating is very limited. . . my biggest complaint about the venue however is the complete lack of wifi although I know that this may be a plus for some others. With no wifi and no mobile signal in/ around the lodge we found it hard to plan our activities and trips on a daily basis and this was a real downside for us - we were even told that you could book some of the local activities on line which seemed a little daft with no accessibility! you could access wifi in the onsite bar but (when it worked) it was painfully slow (probably due to the number of people trying to use it at the same time!). in fact, this might also contribute to the lack of atmosphere and dreary feeling in the bar and restaurant area as it was often full of people staring at their phones or tablets - if this is just a plan to get people in the bar then it doesn't work as very few actually buy anything. In this day and age and for what you have to pay to stay here the lack of wifi in the lodges is a real failure as this must be regarded as a basic service. Really not sure if we would return as a result and might choose to stay at the nearby gwel am mor instead!
Stuart from Kent (29 July 2017)

Great apartment although a little tired in places. We had the july special so it was an excellent price though.
David from Derby (29 July 2017)

Beautiful holiday park. Very tranquil. We stayed in tje golf view apartments which were roomy enough and had everything we needed however were very dates and need updating. . . there was a lack of wi-fi however it was nice to be cut off from the outside world for a change. I know this doesn't suit everyone.
Angharad from Newport Gwent (29 July 2017)

Great base for days out in cornwall. So many things on site to do and use. . the rowing boat was great fun, badminton, tennis courts, chess, draughts and swimming pool was lovely, we just needed a longer holiday to enjoy it all. . will be going back.
Besty from London (28 July 2017)

Was nice to stay. . good surroundings. Staff were very polite. . however weather was appalling all week. Which really let the whole family down. Unfortunately that is not in anyone's control. Then the journey back took nearly 8hours which normally is 3.5hrs. So as a result we all said never to visit cornwall again. Abroad only. That was our experience.
Customer 44 from Gloucester (28 July 2017)

Beautiful lodge ,everything we needed. Only problem, always in the shade
Barbara from Ashford (15 July 2017)

Great base to explore the south west end of cornwall. clowance estate is a high quality establishment, beautiful grounds, lovely bar area, great swimming pool and gym. as for the lodge, very spacious, comfortable and well equipped accommodation but a bit tired and in need of updating. We had a fabulous stay and plan to return
Zoe from Bexhill On Sea (10 July 2017)

We had a lovely time here and it was set in an ideal central location. The facilities were very good and would recommend staying here however I have rated an 8 as we had a mouse in our lodge luckily only on the last night but it did result in a sleepless night . we could not fault the security/ night watch person as he tried to help as much as he could but the staff the next day when checking out did not seem bothered about it at all
Vanessa from Basingstoke (01 July 2017)

Facilities were ok - although no phone reception or internet in lodgings. Nice grounds. Pleasant area.
David from Leighton Buzzard (03 June 2017)

I loved it here, was amazing, the lodges are beautiful, the staff are nice and helpful, the estate is amazing, the area is good, loads to do, wish I stayed longer, will defiantly be going again.
Jonathan (17 April 2017)

Very disappointed that the room booked was significantly reduced in price day after booking and rooms available changed in that different rooms became available after booking some of which may have been beneficial. we have been here before and my father in law and mother both had properties here in the past. not really the way to encourage repeat business. money is tight and £200 extra lot to loose.
Liz from Fleet (15 April 2017)

A lovely setting and restaurant food was lovely.
Tara from Bucks (14 April 2017)

Excellent place to stay, very relaxing - would highly recommend!!
Linda (14 April 2017)

Great break overall, staff were the biggest asset by far, the accommodation was great and very easy to relax in. Pool and gym a bit basic but otherwise no complaint.
Stuart from Woking (07 April 2017)

A fabulous place to relax with outstanding views from the apartment. The location of the estate is so close to so many of the major cornish towns an ideal place to stay. . the apartment had everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing, spacious areas to eat and watch telly and relax in when you get back after a long days out and the then to the on site spa to finish off the stay
Suzanne from Woking (17 March 2017)

Just great
Jaime from London (02 January 2017)

We stayed over the christmas period and enjoyed the restaurant and bar area and the entertainment packaged provided. the indoor pool was very clean and uncrowded when we used it. a very pleasant site at any time of the year. we found it very quiet and peaceful but with good facilities. all the staff were very helpful.
Rosemary from Medway (27 December 2016)

I stayed in a coach house which was excellent, I found it very comfortable and cosy. It was close to the clubhouse where all the entertainment and pool activities took place. The reception staff went out of their way to make me welcome. I stayed here as a solo holiday maker which is why I found the week a little expensive.
Lynda from Penarth (24 September 2016)

A very relaxing few days in a wonderful part of cornwall, even if it was the wettest few days of the year (heavy thunderstorms). the accommodation was very comfortable and had a view out onto the golf course.
Roger from Gillingham, Dorset (16 September 2016)

We feel the log cabin needs updating. Also there was a funny smell in the cabin, very strong in the front bed room which was not very good. . we did not have fresh bedding the master bed room!!!. which was rectified next day when I complained. !!!
Lata (09 September 2016)

We stayed in the coach house and although in need of refurbishment they were fine for what we needed. the grounds were beautiful and the facilities great. the free ranger activity for the children was fantastic.
Faye (03 September 2016)

Stayed in the coach houses . unfortunately very damp and cold and musty smell. Very outdated. However had a wonderful holiday and the estate is beautiful with very good facilities. Very peaceful place.
Katie (03 September 2016)

Great venue, loads of space to relax.
Sally from Basingstoke (03 September 2016)

Susan (03 September 2016)

Very nice place to stay while on holiday. The vast gardens and the facilities are amazing. Peaceful area away from city traffic and noise. Would love to go back some time again.
Sreevidya (27 August 2016)

Beautiful surroundings and location but a very run down coach house shower fell off the wall and their was a hole in the wall by the front door. very uncomfortable sofa bed me and husband slept on and the floor was sticky and dirty. my husband even got the hoover out needed updating and higher maintenance and a good clean
Laura from Gloucester (22 August 2016)

Wouldnt hesitate in recommending clowance estate. Beautiful grounds, great facilities and the coach house we stayed in was perfectly adequate with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. . bar / restaurant was relaxing in the evenings, with very little entertainment which suited us. . swimming pool and changing rooms lovely and clean, with towels included
Kharmen from Nottingham (13 August 2016)

A fantastic base with amazing views. Lots of things to do on site. staff were very friendly and helpful. we would definitely stay again.
Julie from East Riding Of Yorkshire (13 August 2016)

Great holiday, lovely place to stay and the staff are excellent. only gripes are large jumps in cost for term time.
Tony from Spalding, Lincs (13 August 2016)

Wonderful holiday! the children loved it so much they cried when they had to come home. Lots of lovely memories..
Tammy from Ipswich (06 August 2016)

We had an amazing holiday. Our accommodation was excellent with everything we required for a selfcatering break. All staff at the estate were polite, courteous and knowledgeable. the leisure facilities are excellent. We loved the pool and jaquzi. the grounds of the estate are so beautiful and are well maintained. We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay . the food was excellent.
Maria from Cheltenham (05 August 2016)

Lovely place will definitely go back.
Cassie from Chalfont St Peter (05 August 2016)

We spent 2 nights here as a last minute tag on following a week at gwel an mor. we didn't really get a chance to use the full facilities but would next time. the pool and restaurant were both superb, the setting is beautiful and staff fantastic. the only minor niggle was that there is no wifi and limited mobile reception which can make it tricky if you are trying to make arrangements to meet with others as we were - on the hand it is no bad thing to be device free on holiday!
Nina (01 August 2016)

We are so pleased to have found you as you are perfectly located for us as you are close to various family in cornwall and will definitely stay with you again on our next trip down. . the golf view apartment we stayed in was brilliantly equipped for us (with a toddler) which was brilliant too. . the only thing I would say is we'd have liked to have better signage/footpaths of walking between our apartment (at the furthest end of the complex) and the main house/reception etc. It would have been nice to walk there away from the road with cars, again because of the baby. . i'm sure it would have been possible, but it wasn't clearly signposted. If it had been easier we'd have probably spent more time by the main house/lake too.
Emma from London (01 August 2016)

Another great week at clowance :)
Adrian from Tewkesbury (30 July 2016)

Excellent place to stay.
Stephen from Chelmsford (30 July 2016)

Accommodation very dated, no wifi no phone signal in 2016!!!, golf course needs maintaining, although the estate grounds around the lake are lovely.
Cheryl (30 July 2016)

I'm so gappy about my holiday at the estate, going there with an 18month toddler we were expecting it to be difficult with accessibility and cots and getting a ground floor apartment but the staff were extremely helpful, nothing was ever a problem. Facilities were clean and tidy, we enjoyed a dip in the pool almost every evening (play pen in the changing rooms for the little one!). and they really are close to all the attractions, I think the firthest we had to travel was 45 mins. The only dow side was the lack of monile phone reception but in all honesty it's a nive break from technology in the evenings - just sit on the patio with neighbours and enjoy a cold glass of wine!
Gina from Ewell (30 July 2016)

Stayed in st ives lodge which was lovely had everything we needed & more inc jacuzzi bath in en-suite sauna in second bathroom & fabulous views. location was beautiful and great base to go out & about with some of our favourite places nearby. Facilities were clean & kids loved the pool which unfortunately we used too much due to the weather!
Kirsty from London (30 July 2016)

The grounds and facilities were lovely. Out apartment was beautiful but the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in which left tired. The shower was also difficult to regulate.
Rebecca from Gloucester (29 July 2016)

We really loved our holiday it was a great place to say the surroundings are lovely, and the apartment every think you need. We will definitely visit again.
Mia from London (23 July 2016)

Very, and happily, surprised at the quality of the accommodation and the beauty and tranquility of the estate. Even though the site was fully booked it was still very quiet. It will definitely be at the top of our list should (when) we return to cornwall
Martin from Congleton (23 July 2016)

Fabulous week away. All four of us enjoyed it, even our hard to please 17 year old.
Joanne (23 July 2016)

Lovely accommodation, beautiful surroundings, a definite for next year! my husband and I enjoyed a lovely holiday and the kids had plenty to keep them amused. I only wish i'd booked 2 weeks instead of 1!
Jennifer from Rotherham (23 July 2016)

Excellent overall, lovely food, good facilities and entertainment. Apartment could do with updating golf view 56. Would definitely come back.
Graham from Manchester (23 July 2016)

Lovely house & location. Pleasant surroundings. . but not having wifi was a huge dissapointment.
Diane from Essex (22 July 2016)

Clowance is all about comfort, friendliness and relaxation. it's a classy resort with a welcoming feel. the staff cannot do enough for you, it's very clean and the accomodation is luxurious. . the location although rural has easy access routes to both coasts of cornwall and the local village has a great pasty shop & bakery. Highly recommend it.
Helen from New Barnet (16 July 2016)

Lovely accomodation in a lovely setting. Centrally placed to access a lot of tourist areas in cornwall. Would visit again.
Customer 90 from Northampton (15 July 2016)

Only downside was the wifi
Sean (15 July 2016)

Was great :)
Jolanta from Northampton (15 July 2016)

Stayed at golf view apertment ,sorry to say very disappointed in the cleanliness of both bathrooms & broken knobs on cooker ,bird lime on balcony glass & centre glass panel cracked- needs refurbing looking ver tired
Helen from Bransgore,Christchurch (15 July 2016)

We booked our holiday at clowance estate at the last minute, but we were in no way disappointed by what we found on our arrival and during our stay. The facilities are excellent and our accommodation was both comfortable and very clean. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming as well as being good at their respective roles. . the estate itself is immaculately presented and the facilities on site offer an array of activities to do should you wish to. It is superbly located for access to the whole of cornwall should you wish to explore further afield. Only the addition of wifi in the accommodation could have enhanced our stay further.
Martin (08 July 2016)

Had a fantastic stay staff were lovely very friendly nothing too much trouble. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the food looked very nice when we went to watch the evening entertainment. Really good value for money. Accommodation was clean and comfortable
Hilary from Andover (08 July 2016)

Such a stunning place, we couldn't quite believe where we were. With gorgeous gardens, lakes, swans and an abundance of bunnies bouncing around on the lawn, a lovely place to wind down away from normal life. We have a small daughter so couldn't go to the entertainment in the evenings but found the resort just fabulous and accommodating. Most of the staff were lovely and friendly. The swimming pool was really nice and family friendly. The location is perfect being situated relatively near everywhere you'd want to visit. I'd recommend clowance estate to anyone.
Rachel (25 June 2016)

What a beautiful location! we stayed in one of the a framed lodges which was surrounded by trees and wildlife, it was truely tranquil. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They could not do enough to make sure we had everything we needed, they have board games you can borrow from reception as well as a manner of other things including bbq tools and even coffee machines!! there is a nice swimming pool, spa treatments at their spa (which unfortunately didn't get to try), tennis and badminton courts plus they put on other activities such as archery and segway riding and offered tours of cornwall. The restaurant does amazing food. The lake is stunning with ducks and a swan with complimentary rowing boats that you can book for an hour. Idillic! and of course it is in cornwall which is amazing as it is! I would absolutely recommend clowance estate.
Marianne from East Sussex (04 June 2016)

Fabulous place very peaceful, good amenities, very friendly helpful staff. Great location for exploring cornwall. I will definitely go back.
Alan from Yeovil (04 June 2016)

We have been to clowance before, we loved it the first time and enjoyed it just as much on this visit. the grounds on clowance are really well kept. and a walk round the lake was relaxing, and finished off feeding the ducks. we even had a visit from the resident swan one afternoon, which was a pleasant surprise. . . would recommend a meal in the restaurant, all the staff were very polite and friendly, and the chef was helpful and prepared a gluten free meal for my daughter who is coeliac. . the pool is ok for a family swim, they provide towels so no messing about. . there are a few activities for the kids but we didn't use them, as we were out and about visiting various attractions. . we will be going again next year.

Fantastic!!

Fantastic!!
Linda from Bristol (08 April 2016)

The leisure centre specifically the pool and jacuzzi could do with a bit of tlc. Certainly after all these years its starting to show its age. Just a little bit of maintenance could really set this estate apart from the rest.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely place.
Alisa from Blackwood (14 September 2015)

A lovely lodge in a very nice setting.
Norman from Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire (12 September 2015)

Fantastic stay at clowance my husband and I have been here 5 times now and we brought our children and grandchildren with us this time the youngest two being one all enjoyed the facility's and the restaurant entertainment highly recommend
Heather from Kent (29 August 2015)

The site is conveniently located for beaches and other holiday activities.
James from Colchester (22 August 2015)

Stunning setting and well maintained gardens with lake.
Lee from Lincoln (22 August 2015)

So peaceful and friendly.
Helen from Barnet (15 August 2015)

There are a lot of rules and regulations- I needed to accompany my 12 year old to the pool if he wanted to swim - dispite him bringing s very competent swimmer - sauna only open in the evening
Kim from Surrey (15 August 2015)

Staff great, location wonderful. Good swimming and gym facilities. . no mobile signal. . terrible wi-fi arrangements. Wifi in the bar area slow and overloaded. No wi-fi in the lodges, which should be high speed and included for free.
James from Leeds (15 August 2015)

Beautiful surroundings, lovely apartment & great facilities!
Michelle from Bristol (15 August 2015)

We had a great time at clowance..the facilities were of a good standart, staff was friendly.we'll recommend it to friends and family
Estelle from Orleans France (15 August 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday, clowance estate is excellent.
Linda from Bristol (08 August 2015)

We loved the estate. It felt very quiet, despite the accommodation being fully book, and an excellent amount of space to walk around in. We enjoyed feeding the ducks by the lake and took a twilight walk in the woods animal spotting. We didn’t use a massive amount of the facilities on offer but they all looked good quality. . it is out on a limb and you need your own transport, however, beaches are easily reached and it is a beautiful part of the country. We had visitors over and they were also impressed with the estate. . . we found the accommodation well stocked and it was a big step up from being in a caravan. If you want a quiet, central base to explore I would thoroughly recommend the clowance estate. . my only negative was that the golf course was a little rustic and overpriced for what it was. We did enjoy one game on it and that was probably enough.
Andy from Swarbrick (08 August 2015)

Lovely place to stay, very quiet in the countryside. Staff very friendly and the location is central to most locations in west cornwall. The accommodation was good and would recommend .
David from Glossop (08 August 2015)

A beautiful estate home & grounds which have been thoughtfully laid out to provide excellent accommodation with privacy. Excellent facilities, we particularly enjoyed taking one of the courtesy rowing boats out onto the lake with the swan, ducks, heron & kingfisher all making an appearance. A good location & no mobile phone signal (perfect)
Rachel from Swindon (08 August 2015)

Loved our stay
Jez from Milton Keynes (01 August 2015)

Beautiful grounds but the lodge was a little dated and the bar / reseraunt was unwelcoming and the entertainment was poor, reception staff were great.
Emma (01 August 2015)

Our lodge was a little dated but very clean and a great size . the grounds are beautiful and kept at a high standard . the restaurant food was great and good value for money but the entertainment wasn't very good . overall a lovely place to relax and switch off completely for no mobile phone signal and no wifi .
Sonia from Solihull (01 August 2015)

Located a couple of miles outside of cambourne. a lovely, quiet, peaceful location. Our room was very spacious and overlooked the golf course.
Deborah from Spalding (01 August 2015)

A beautiful estate in a great location. Lots of wildlife and plenty for families
Mark (01 August 2015)

A-shaped lodge was very large, comfortable and well equiped but needs refurbishment as it was looking a little tired and old. nice white bedding and plenty of fluffy towels. the park and facilities were fabulous and very relaxing. staff were very helpful and followed up any requests very quickly. the biggest drawback was no wifi in the lodge although wifi was provided for free at the reception centre.
Robert (25 July 2015)

Beautiful setting, accommodation great. Staff very welcoming, helpful & knowledgeable about area. Would come again.
Loretta from Somerset (25 July 2015)

Wonderful location, quiet and peaceful. Accommodation is a bit dated and could do with a refresh, although the sauna in the lodge was amazing to have all to ourselves. . the pool was excellent, never overly busy and just right for the childeren and adults. We really enjoyed access to the lake on the rowing boat and the kids loved the tree house!. . on the down side, we really struggled with phones and internet. Virtually no mobile reception on any of the major networks, no wifi avalible in the lodges and wifi in the bar area was appallingly slow.
James from Chester (24 July 2015)

This is the second time we've visited clownance. We love it here and cannot fault it. Highly recommended!
Fiona from Banstead, Surrey (18 July 2015)

Wonderful estate, accommodation and facilities. Great location for visiting places of interest in cornwall. Would love to return again but only at the reduced rates we recently paid.

Resort lovely - beautifully kept - staff helpful and friendly, the only thing we would have changed was the rainy weather. can't recommend highly enough.

Really lovely thank you.
Fiona from London (03 April 2015)

Was only two person hot tub which the staff never got on top of the sanitation of it all week so was unable to use it because of the smell. The rest of the cabin was exemplary.
Gary from Burscough (01 November 2014)

Gary from Burscough (01 November 2014)

Lack of shop was the only downside of the site.
Tony (20 September 2014)

Lovely relaxing break but could have done with more entertainment as 2 out of 7 nights was a bit poor
Sharon from Porthcawl (20 September 2014)

Lack of shop was the only downside of the site.
Tony (20 September 2014)

The estate itself was well located for the surrounding areas as it was quite central for touring both st ives and the lizard on the south coast. The grounds itself were beautiful in the sun shine so the estate did seem to be well looked after but the fairways on the golf needed some extra care as they were quite over grown and long.
Helen (30 August 2014)

Beautiful setting with lovely walks and good facilies. Easy to get to lots of attractions and beaches.
Katie from Midlands (30 August 2014)

I booked late with my young daughter. Suited our needs perfectly. We were looking at late booking coastal holiday park with entertainment. Not my cup of tea but would suit my daughter. However for not much more money we found yourselves and we both loved it.
Neil from Swindon (23 August 2014)

A fantastic range of facilities on site, in spacious and beautiful surroundings. Our lodge felt private and not overlooked, with a beautiful view of the lake.
Teresa from Wallingford (23 August 2014)

Beautiful surroundings, very quiet, most of the entertainment very good although would be better in a different place as in the resturant so if people eating you can't get a seat, and there is no entertainment in the evening for young children, most entertainment started at 9pm if it was on. Two nights a week nothing (quiet nights)
Andrea (22 August 2014)

Apartment was clean and spacious. Lovely quiet location. Facilities excellent. had to drive to nearest beach and shop though. would definitely stay there again.
Michael (16 August 2014)

Fantastic!!!!!!
Julian (16 August 2014)

The estate name is clowance, using st aubyns in your literature is very misleading!! all the local signs say clowance, as does all the signage at the estate!! the estate is a little dated, but we could have been very happy had the accomodation for 4 been 4 proper beds! we are past sleeping on sofa beds..and there is room to have a proper bed. Other than that the holiday was fine!
Diana from Andover (16 August 2014)
