Brynteg was truly a magnificent setting. Our lodge was adjacent to the lake and the nature walk, and as a result our kids saw some great nature activity - from feeding the ducks (which my daughter named) to seeing squirrels feed on nuts and the odd flock of sheep being chased by the ducks. The facilities were also excellent: spotlessly clean with relaxing and comfortable decor, it truly couldn't be faulted. The fact that my son and I could be playing bowls, basketball and badminton all in the one morning followed by a relaxing dip in the spa and sauna was most definitely a first for us. For a quiet but gently active get away break, Brynteg is perfect. Away from the general holiday hustle and bustle it is an attractive well kept park in a woodland environment. The holiday at Brynteg we had was fabulous. It is in a great location for touring Snowden and Caenarfon but our teenage boys were quite happy on the park. It felt really safe to just let them discover by themselves and they got into the hang of booking their sports sessions independently and would just come and go as they pleased leaving us to enjoy the tranquility of it all. The shop was great too, really competitive prices - I had forgotten to pack a toothbrush and was expecting to have to pay silly money for a new one but they charged me less than a pound, most impressed! There are plenty of activities to entertain the children, a well managed park with helpful and friendly staff, and the area is stunning with its own lake and is surrounded by mountains. Despite the weather we managed to find so many things to do locally, or no more than 30 minutes drive away. Greenwood Adventure Park, Redline Indoor Karting, Piggery Pottery are all within 10 minutes. The local pub served wonderful home cooked food and a little diamond of a bakery (the house on the junction of the lane to Brynteg) made our trip to Anglesey a breeze!! This has to be the cleanest and best kept park we've been to. We found the staff helpful (having arrived without towels), and the on-site restaurant was a lovely surprise - we ended up eating there most evenings as it was so convenient and they served a wide range of reasonably priced and tasty food. A lovely swimming pool with clean changing facilities, also a small soft play/ball pool area which we didn't discover until the day before we left! There is so much to see and do just a short drive away from the park - highlights for us included Dinas beach, Caernarfon Castle and Greenwood park, oh, and the lovely steam railway which runs to Beddegelert and beyond. This park was wonderful! The staff everywhere we went on the site were really nice, smiley and helpful which in itself is rare these days! It is perfect for families and has a great childrens park which the children we had with us thought was fabulous, and they had an absolute ball! It was also a very pleasent surprise to find that the restaurent on site had great value meals - Sunday lunch was excellent and at the sort of price you would pay in a local pub at home, great value for money and the kids loved it.
