Really lovely and clean place. The flume in the pool was brilliant for kids and the arcades were fun kept lovely and clean. Overall we all enjoyed our stay.
Toni from Walsall (09 April 2018)

The place was great, perfectly located no far from convenience and 5min walk to the beach. My only let down was overall hygiene of the pool and shower facilities. Hygiene was almost to the minimum. I like a pool when people can get showered before getting in the pool. Otherwise a good place for family getaway. The caravan itself was comfortable and spacious with everything you need while there.
Kettie from Durham (06 April 2018)

We arrived on site at 14.00 knowing the caravan wouldn’t be ready till 16.00. We went for food and then to collect keys at 16.00 to be told that we couldn’t have them due to the boiler being broken. We asked for another caravan and were told there were none spare. After a discussion we were given vouchers for more food while we waited. We got the keys at 17.00 to find the boiler still not working, bed linen missing, no door mat ( just the plastic under neath of a mat) we rang reception to be told someone would come to sort it. Half hour later no one had arrived. We walked to reception to ask what was happening to be told we had to wait and it would be dealt with . back at the van we managed to reset the boiler ourselves by adjusting the pressure gauge!!!!. to top it all the shower pipe was disconnected so we had to repair that. The saucepans under the sink were full of water so we had to rewash them all. The carpet in the main bedroom was wet. The bathroom floor was wet which we discovered was due to the waste pipe not being connected!!!!. outside of the van was old garden furniture with dirty sheets stuffed under them. So basically the caravan was a bit ropey!! it wasn’t a basic priced one either. We didn’t raise the extra concerns at reception because the customer service of the woman we spoke to was appalling. Oh well lesson learned . we won’t be going back
Elaine from Wolverhampton (02 April 2018)

Cleanliness of the caravan was shocking . changing facilities at that swimming pool need to improve massively as people was leaving there belongings in family changing rooms
Paul (30 March 2018)

Staff friendly park was neat and tidy ,parking could be a problem in high season . would definitely go again .
Dilys (23 March 2018)

We went feb half term and had a fantastic short break. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our car would not start for our return journey home, staff phoned around and found someone to help.
Amanda (23 February 2018)

Great for kids
David from Bolton (19 February 2018)

I spent 5 days at the brynowen campsite in the february half term with my 4 children. Aged 8, 7 and twins aged 4. The caravan was really clean and spacious and had all the home from home amenities. The entertainment for the children was really good. They had a full timetable of activities for the whole week. The kids were never short of things to do. The onsite swimming pool was really good and clean with a slide. The beach was just five minutes walk. There was a local supermarket but to be honest it was cheap enough to eat in the boat house restaurant. The food was really good and staff were very friendly. . I would definitely holiday here again. My children said it was the best holiday they have ever been on ha ha.
Diane from Liverpool (16 February 2018)

Caravan had two faulty doors and no key for one. Baby pool freezing or not open at all. Knowing I had a baby, access to caravan was poor as it was pebbled.
Janet from Manchester (16 February 2018)

We enjoyed our family break being together taking our dog for walks. Playing board games, going swimming and watching the entertainment in the evening's. Time to play pool and ten pin bowling in the arcade and have fun together get away from all the tech and hustle n bustle at home.
Emma from Liverpool (16 February 2018)

The caravans are too close together. Our caravan lacked basic kitchen equipment and the behaviour of many guests was unacceptable. My husband claims that the bed was the most uncomfortable thing he claims to having slept on despite years working in the developing world.
Jocelyn from Thornbury (27 October 2017)

Really amazing holiday friendly staff all round the childrens entertainment was amazing every night the food in restaurant was good the whole place was clean any thing was there was so much bleach in the tiny bathroom that it filled up the caravan with fumes and made all our our eyes saw and sting for first few days. We had a caravan right next to the main car park which I was glad of else it can be quite a bit of a walk to the others up a hill for some the caravan are slightly too close together but that’s about the any negatives I had
Charlotte (27 October 2017)

The caravan was nothing at all like the pictures portrayed and smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke. I had a cold shower for the period of my break, the bed was very uncomfortable. the caravan was very basic indeed and I tolerate most things to be honest.
Pamela from Rugeley (16 October 2017)

Very good site will stay again.as we arrived at night could do with more lights around the caravans as couldn't see where to walk.swimming pool would be better if it was open al day
Stacey from Telford (16 October 2017)

After reading bad reviews I was pleasantly surprised. Location is great. Caravan was basic but all we needed as a base. Boathouse was great for food and drink. As a couple without children I wouldn't visit here in school holidays but can imagine it would be great for those with children.
Wendy from Stafford (06 October 2017)

A lovely holiday and near to amenities as requested thank you
Claire from Birmingham (30 September 2017)

Street lights non existent dogie bins not emptied for the two weeks that we were there even after we reported them 3 times to sales staff and reception staff steps too steep to get into caravan parking too far from caravan. . . bar staff very good food good jade was very good behind bar and gave very good service
Michael from Lowestoft Suffolk (23 September 2017)

Caravan smelt mouldy and cheap air fresheners everywhere which were sickly, grill on cooker had been broken since july, fridge had to be replaced all dishes and cutlery had been put away wet
Susan from Merseyside (22 September 2017)

Lovely staff site ok bit dated needs landscaping caravans very close . caravan clean but door handle missing from second bedroom floor in bathroom was moving felt it was rotted no heating other than fire . caravan outside green not the best impression windows not clean
Diane from Oldham (18 September 2017)

Caravan was not cleaned properly before arrival. Grill did not work. No emergency instructions in caravan. Swimming pool only available for small periods a day. Mouldy dirty duvet in wardrobe. Not impressed with any part of site. Have stayed on many park resort sites and this is by a very long way the worst
Gary from Lowestoft (18 September 2017)

Caravan was badly equipped and in a state of disrepair. Door hinges were broken, door handles loose. It was supposed to sleep 6, there were 4 knives and forks, three tumblers a mixture of plates, five mugs, no cups and saucers. I was very disappointed. It was however comfortable and warm.
Mary from Basingstoke (15 September 2017)

We had 4 days without bed linen. I went in everyday even twice a day to tell them. Disgraceful. However the private caravan we had was beautiful but the site facilitates and bed linen situation let it all down
Julie from Preston (08 September 2017)

Staff are really friendly and helpful, kids entertainment in the evening was very good as well! the are is beautiful and well kept. . one of the only downfalls was the indoor "heated" pool - it was very cold! it was far too cold for the children (as well as me and my partner) we left after 10 minutes as our lips were blue! the baby pool was also closed. Otherwise we had a really lovely stay and would recommend. Thank you for a lovely holiday!
Joann from Staffordshire (04 September 2017)

The facilities and the entertainment for the children were great however it was seriously let down by the caravan, dirty, mould, in need of refurbishment. too many caravans, not keep on parking away from caravan.
Georgina from Manchester (04 September 2017)

Very disappointed with the caravan.. was small for 4 adults and 1 child. my partner slept on the settee as felt claustrophobic in the twin room!!
Tony from Peterborough (02 September 2017)

Great stay at brynowen. Good facilities. Caravan clean and tidy. Fab entertainment for the kids. Would recommend.
Susie from Oswestry (01 September 2017)

We stayed in an older caravan which may need to be updated as bathroom floor was damp and the cooker was poor quality and grill didnt work.there was a caravan removed 3 vans down but the site had been left with wires and loose bits of rubble and metal not very safe for an area with children. Swimming pool was a little cold and the flume was out of action on 2 occasions.
Emma from Bewdley (01 September 2017)

Basic but clean caravan. There was a swamp outside our caravan which let it down as we couldn't sit outside and the children couldn't play directly outside our caravan. The children's play ground is located up a steep hill so is tricky to access with a pram.the park itself is in a great location and we would return for this reason. The reception staff were also very helpful and friendly.
Eva from Manchester (28 August 2017)

Apart from the caravan not being cleaned very well (dog hair everywhere) and missing a duvet. This holiday was saved by brilliant entertainment and happy kids.
Jenny from Birmingham (26 August 2017)

The caravan was old and dirty smelt of stale cigarettes, with the carpets ripped and threadbare. Never would visit again . however the staff did there best , but there was nothing they could do ! this caravan needs to go to caravan heaven .
Nicky from Worcester (26 August 2017)

We have stayed at brynowen before and was very happy but this time it was not up to scratch .we arrived and was directed to our caravan on inspection the van wasn't very clean the battery in the smoke alarm were dead there was no mop bucket or vacuum cleaner and we couldn't get a decent reception on the tv . also the ground staff seemed to spend the entire week strimming the grass around our van and the noise was horrendous. Also the laundry facilities wasn't great we were spending on average £12 to wash and dry one load which seems excessive.
David from Birmingham (26 August 2017)

The staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for them and when a fault was found in the caravan they responded within 10 minutes despite it being very busy with people arriving at the start of the week. The grounds were kept immaculate and and staffing in at the pool was never less than 2 lifeguards supervising the swimmers with more in the pool complex.
Stanley (25 August 2017)

Fantastic accommodation and only a short walk from the beach.
Andrew (25 August 2017)

Unfortunately it rained heavily the time we stayed in clywd caravan, aug 18-21 2017. Our caravan was in the flood path and my elderly mother, 81, was trapped in the caravan on the first night as it rose higher than the bottom caravan step! this obviously happened regularly as there was standing water around the caravan, number 61, when I arrived! ironically, if they had turned the caravan around, it was dry on the other side! when we reported this to reception the following morning, we were met with comments like, 'we can't control the weather love'! would not recommend this site. Caravans very close together and most areas could do with updating. Paths very thin, would be difficult to push buggies or wheelchairs on them. Overall, not great.
Maria from Telford (21 August 2017)

Would never go back to this site and would probably therefore not bother booking with this company again
Jon from Birmingham (21 August 2017)

The caravan was shoddy and dirty. Nothing like the one featured on the website. The toilet seats were broken. The curtains hanging off and a complete over kill of the colour beige.
Alison from Wordsley (21 August 2017)

Could do with few more facilities. A better park for kids.
Maxine from Leominster (21 August 2017)

Very relaxed enjoyable holiday.
Thomas from Pembrokeshire (19 August 2017)

Just the break I needed, last minute booking (booked thursday and arrived saturday) didn't expect much. Upon arriving at the site, we got to reception and given our caravan key, then up half a mountain to the caravan, but it was worth it for the view, straight out over the bay. The site has everything needed for a 4 year old, a park, a swimming pool, arcade, soft play and evening entertainment, which even in peak season wasn't too busy. . the beach at borth was one of the best beaches i've ever been to with golden sand as far as I could see.
Steven from Rugby (19 August 2017)

Caravan was tatty and had things that needed fixing my 1 yr old son was bruised by the fire as front was broke and kept falling off when went near it no where to eat or get food after 7.30 not much to do on site and swimming pool small and always packed
Karen from Battle (19 August 2017)

Not enough to do around borth
Maurice from West Mids (18 August 2017)

Fab place to stay. Entertainment crew were superb and the park was really close to the sea front so ideally situated. Would recommend a visit.
Kevin from Paignton (18 August 2017)

Absolutely fantastic time children enjoyed the kids clubs and entertainment staff were all super friendly and helpful couldn't of asked for a better holiday.
Jennifer from Telford (18 August 2017)

Brilliant holiday, excellent value for money, caravan was in a great position in the park and literally sparkling clean. We had a great time, would 100% consider returning :-)
Michelle from Oxford (18 August 2017)

Had a great few days would defiantly recommend it
Caroline (18 August 2017)

Loved the new caravan and the location was amazing. I feel some of the staff weren't too enthusiastic, however we spent most of our time outdoors. Swimming pool we visited once as we found it too cold. Kids loved it and crabbing was brilliant at borth beach.
Eleanor from West Midlands (18 August 2017)

Nice holiday
Peter from West Midlands (18 August 2017)

Lovely caravan in a great location at the top of the park. Peaceful and quiet. Park is a good base for seeing mid wales
Elaine from Blackburn (18 August 2017)

Fabulous entertainment for the kids, great pool. we loved it x
Diane from Newcastle Under Lyme (14 August 2017)

Have no complaints about brynowen - the staff were friendly and helpful and the park was neat and tidy.
Anastasia from Liverpool (12 August 2017)

Our holiday was very pleasant the area was lovely, the locals were very friendly and helpful. The caravan was very dated, the kitchen lights didn't work and the sofa that housed the sofa bed was broken.
Customer 51 from Nottingham (12 August 2017)

We found the site to be very clean and the staff always helpful. I have booked again for next year.
Sandra from Ludlow (12 August 2017)

Very disappointed toliet seat broke got repaired 3 times in a week window display not shut properly door aswell
Donna from Barry (12 August 2017)

Staff were lovely. Holiday was let down as bed not made up and caravan not clean : crumbs in sink , sand on floor, hair in shower
Marianne (11 August 2017)

The local area around has great views and lots of activities for a wide age range, from lazy days on the beach to exploring the local history
Matthew from Stafford (11 August 2017)

Wonderful small friendly holiday park with well kept facilities and helpful staff. located in easy reach of aberystwyth. this is a quiet park which we loved. our caravan was easily the best we have ever stayed in. would really recommend.
Jillian (07 August 2017)

Lovely caravan with balcony would love to stay in same caravan again apart from no pans to cook with
Georgia from Coventry (07 August 2017)

Lovely place. Caravan was nice but wasn't very clean. It was cleaner when we left.
Jane from Dudley (04 August 2017)

Very good facilities with plenty of stuff to do for the kids! shame there's nothing much in borth although it's a beautiful place
Tristian (28 July 2017)

The sites and facilities are great at brynowen. Our accomodation had steep steps which my mother found difficult to get up and down on. The entertainment we found aimed at children which is great for the kids but at well after 9pm we gave up waiting for the entertainment for the adults to start.
Denise from Birmingham (24 July 2017)

Relaxing and comfortable
Karen from Worcestershire (24 July 2017)

Caravans are too close together.
Andrew (22 July 2017)

I was graduating from aberystwyth university and it was significantly cheaper for 5 people to stay in a caravan for four nights than a hotel for two. We had a great time, it's a lovely area but the caravan was a bit cosy for all of us. It was to be expected of course and it didn't spoil out time. Bear in mind nothing much is open in borth after 8pm though!
Patrick from Burnley (21 July 2017)

The arcade was great if you want to get out of the house and accomodation did it's job but had a lot of problems which staff were not helpful with at all. The restaurant is expensive and the local shop is too. Night entertainment wasn't bad but times are not given for adult entertainment which made it very hard to plan when to go to the club.
Shannon from Cardiff (15 July 2017)

Had a great time location was excellent would love to go back
Kerry from Rhyl (14 July 2017)

Easy walking distance of the beach & village
Neil from Caerphilly (07 July 2017)

Worst place i've ever stayed!! stay away!!
Rhodri (07 July 2017)

Holiday it self ok but fire would,d come on tv hat ask the man out and it was to far from the station
Brian (30 June 2017)

Just because I paid for budget doesn't mean I expected less.. loose handles torn duvet etc disappointed that who ever checked and prepared the caravan for us lack of care
Julie (30 June 2017)

Staff left to deal with guests problems as no managers around to help, even at reception. Parking was a big issue for me, no where near my accommodation yet staff can zap around in between caravans with little off-road tyres on buggys, kids playing at sides and they picking up bin bags of rubbish..come on I had 5 suitcases and other luggage. I know it was out of season but I still paid for my family to have a holiday, if problems have happened which changes what guests can enjoy/should enjoy ie facilitates, times or changes due to breakdowns/training staff then guests should be informed otified off.
Emma from Penzance (30 June 2017)

Emma from Penzance (30 June 2017)

The site was clean and well kept with a friendly welcome on arrival. The caravan was clean but it was not what we would call up to the standard we have been in on other sites. We always pay the extra to go in the gold standard or top rated caravans. . the caravan lacked things like a coffee table, scatter cushions, costers and a hoover or carpet sweeper. The site was in a very good location for the beach and days out. We enjoyed our holiday at brynowen and would go again in the future.
Stephen from Ramsbottom (26 June 2017)

Holiday park looks tired from outside, could do with paint job ,inside club house really nice, we did eat there and was lovely and good value. It was just very quiet although we did go week after half term .not alot for my kids to do ,beach was very close by but didn't feel very safe as there were signs up warning us of old world war 2 bombs that could be present highly unlikely but would you really want to take a chance of your kids digging one up .when we arrived our caravan was the worst ive ever seen did not represent what I purchased hole in the floor I wouldn't let my dog stay in it never mind my family although staff upgraded us straight away to a lovely caravan it just put a dampener on whole holiday and even the kettle would not work properly and were left with no bed sheets as someone was supposed to bring some. Don't think I would go again.
Nicola from Deeside, Flintshire (16 June 2017)

Omg it's so awesome!!!
Adam from Wroclaw (Antarctica) (05 June 2017)

Caravan was extremely basic & quite old, however staff were very friendly & helpful. The bar, restaurant & entertainment areas were well set out and very clean / well presented.
Nick from Pontypool (29 May 2017)

Caravan had electrical plug hanging of wall. There was a hole in bathroom floor. Mattress in double bedroom was ready for the bin not to be slept on. Very poor value for money!. would not stay here ever again booked in with chiropractor to try and repair back as mattress caused major issues.
Jay from Westmidlands (29 May 2017)

Caravan had heating on full blast when we arrived on the hottest day of the year! no signal in the area. Swimming pool was truly the worst i've ever been to.
Elizabeth from Bridgend (29 May 2017)

Van a bit worn out but ok, except for double bed, springs poking through impossible to sleep on, had to use single beds pushed together in other room. Nice to have bed made up pity it was unusable. . the site is a good location for mountains and coast.
David from Redruth (12 May 2017)

Really enjoyed the holiday.one thing we didn't like was way security handle things in the club.there was a girl in our party that was 18 and was drinking.the security come over and asked for id.the security that come over we're very intimidating, about 3 of them come over just to ask for id.really I think the manager should be coming over first.apart from this issue I would go back.
Julian (01 May 2017)

The only difficulty was with the heating in the caravan. Staff were really lovely but the repair did not last and were needed to be called out several times over two days leaving us cold. Stayed in a disabled caravan which was perfect otherwise.
Joy from Stoke On Trent (29 April 2017)

This was our first trip to bronowen, and whilst the caravan was'nt the newest we,ve stayed in,it was clean, warm and comfortable .the staff were fantastic ! really friendly and enthusiastic, and we will definitely be back next year.
Hilary from Malvern (24 April 2017)

It was a lovely place, staff very helpfully, but we had no bedding on the first night as they had run out
Gavin from Cardiff (21 April 2017)

Quality and quantity of food did not match price, very disappointing but apart from that it was fantastic
Abi from Lampeter (21 April 2017)

Good clean site , overall good facilities, good location, helpful friendley staff. What's not to like?.
Richard from Leicester (21 April 2017)

Caravan wasn't ready at 4pm which was disappointing to start with. Very basic caravan and not very clean. This was not a sun holiday so I expected better! noisy people all around drinking and loud at 2am +. litter everywhere. Swimming pool freezing! food in restaurant was ok but not everything available and pricey but I guessed as much. Would not return.
Maria from Worcester (17 April 2017)

Lovely holiday and great entertainment.
Claire from Shifnal (15 April 2017)

Had a lovey monday-friday break, the caravan was lovely & clean & homely. The kids loved the entertainment there was always something to do for them. The only thing I can fault is how expensive it was on the site for food/drinks. Typical meal for our family (6) was £50+ then drinks. But there was a little restaurant over the road a few mins away were every paying adult u get a free kids meal which was beautiful food, (the sands) would go back there but would know to take more money.
Rebecca from West Midlands (14 April 2017)

The holiday park was nice, the kids play park was well away from the clubhouse which meant a parent had to stay with the children whilst they played which meant as a couple we couldn't enjoy the clubhouse together. The most annoying part is that the bingo was smack bang in the middle of the evening. Started at 7.30pm for an hour, which meant we were unable to go to the clubhouse of an evening as our 3 year old would have been too grumpy to go out at 8.30pm. We have been to many parks and this is the case with most of them. Bingo should be moved to an earlier time or provisions be made to have it in another room so families can enjoy the clubhouse facilities without being told to shhhh! this a major bugbear with most of your clubhouses..
Danielle from Minster-On-Sea, Kent. (10 April 2017)

Great location, couple of minutes walk to the local beach. The kids had a great time in the pool also.
Rebekah from Wrexham (10 April 2017)

Great holliday, fantastic views. But the caravan seating was very uncomfortable, I have used other hoseason's and haven sites we always go for the same level of caravan. But this one was well equipped in terms of fixtures and fittings but all the seating was uncomfortable. The site it's self was great, very well kept and maintained with friendly and helpful staff.
David from Huddersfield (31 March 2017)

Lovely caravan. Lovely part of wales I can recommend it but don't bother with the restaurant. You wait an hour for an over priced under exciting burger.
Mark from Liverpool (27 March 2017)

Reception staff where not very helpfull with problems
Jason from Pontypridd (24 March 2017)

Short and cheap break with kids ,facilities were great on site except for caravan and although it was very cheap and a barafundle caravan it was extremely damp inside ,bedding damp and no carbon monoxide monitor plus two warnings on the boiler to be rectified by management which hadn't been done which was worrying. Staff were lovely and we didn't complain on site or ask for a change of caravan as only staying two nights. If had been longer we would have asked for an upgrade. Even as cheap as it was it still has to be safe.lovely amenities on site and the band on saturday night ' sons of alba' were fantastic.just unfortunate about the caravan.
Karen from Liverpool (20 March 2017)

Was put in an awful caravan. Paid for a gold but was placed in an old van which had an awful smell. was changed on request by staff but the complaint was brushed off. Staff didn't seem to care. The next van wasn't much better so had to purchase cleaning supplies before we would stay. Left a day early didn't stand it any longer.
Elaine from Manchester (17 March 2017)

Very nice place and people. Woukd ho back again
Veronique from Huddersfield (04 March 2017)

Really disappointed that the pool wasn't up to temperature to use I had two four year olds desperate to swim. The caravan was adapted therefore the hob was low not ideal. Also we were quite cold as the electric fire didn't work neither did the oven
Alison from Lydney (13 February 2017)

Excelent
Gordon from B Kingswinford (07 October 2016)

Caravan was dirty went home next day beds uncomfortable
Janet from Chester (23 September 2016)

This was our fourth time at brynowen. we love the area and brynowen is excellent to use as a base.
Christine from Caerphilly (23 September 2016)

Love brynowen and the surrounding area.
Peter from Sutton In Ashfield (17 September 2016)

Had a really good holiday. Our first time at brynowen but won't be our last
Sonia from Heol-Y-Cyw, Bridgend (16 September 2016)

When we entered the caravan it had,nt been cleaned, and there was no clean bed linen, they sent cleaners down, and some bed linen followed, overall the caravan was a bit tatty around the seating area, and bedroom curtains, we had a leak from the toilet underneath the van, I reported it tues morning, nobody came, I reported it wed morning, nobody came, my wife reported it thurs morning, and they sent someone, who fixed it pretty quickly, but there was toilet waste underneath the caravan, and it gave a bad smell, obviously, the maintenance man said he only just knew about it, and was apologetic, overall it spoilt the holiday, we have previously stayed with hoseasons at tattershall lakes, and it was excellent, this was far away from that standard.
Trevor from Shropshire (09 September 2016)

Pool area was very tired and need of a revamp, lockers were broken and we were advised by a staff member that someone had a handbag stolen from one not long before our stay. Caravan was ok but in need of a good clean, we have been to caravan parks of a much higher standard
Rachel from Swansea (02 September 2016)

Very pleasant holiday, caravan was clean and lovely close to the clubhouse and facilities, 4 min walk to the beach, we were lucky with the weather so we're at the beach everyday! pool was clean could do with a few extras there tho! clubhouse was lovely and kids enjoyed the programmes. 20 mins from aberystwyth so not far for shops and harbour! ideal place to stay
Stacey from Swansea (02 September 2016)

Had a great time, the accommodation was fantastic and the facilities onsite were great for kids entertainment etc
Gary from Telford (02 September 2016)

In need of improvement - particularly about the pool complex
Mark from Accrington (02 September 2016)

If you are going to book here. ring and pick a van. I was in the furthest van on the site at the top of a hill. I know it says hilly, but you can't appreciate that until you are there. don't follow the sat nav off the a487 use a map, it will save you doing a roller coaster ride up and down roads you have no need to touch, little more than dirt tracks! same thing if you pop to aberswyth the nearest town. also it has a park and ride which I wish I had know before I tried to find parking. Lovely beach, lovely area and lots to do in the surroundings. only one café and one shop at the beach and the rnli, but that's all you need. would go back but phone and chose carefully on the site.
Melanie (02 September 2016)

Lovely holiday park, caravan wasn't very clean. Had to clean it myself before we used it
Dorian from Aberdare (29 August 2016)

Holiday was fab. Just travelling to there was too much for us. Satnav directions wrong but we'll sign posted!
Joanne from Liverpool (29 August 2016)

Absolute awful caravan . dirty and infested with woodlice . I have wrote to the hoseason customer care team and are waiting for a response .
Alan from Telford (22 August 2016)

The caravan smelt really bad with a damp smell. The toilet you can smell wee
Tahmina from Birmingham (22 August 2016)

We stayed for 7 nights during august 2016. Our caravan was spacious and reasonably clean upon arrival. The location of the caravan was part way up a very steep hill which was hard work to negotiate on foot & meant that we used our car more than we wanted to. The fun zone was fine & our 6 year old loved it. The swimming pool was a bit dirty and in need of an overhaul. We went in the on-site club a couple of times and it was clean and comfortable but the drinks were very expensive. The beach was very pleasant and the local shops were handy. Aberystwyth is fairly close by and we spent a few good days there.
Marina from Birmingham (22 August 2016)

Was disappointed in our caravan. Booked a silver thinking it would be better than a bronze, however it was probably the most basic caravan i've ever stayed in. Site was lovely and amenities fine.
Debra from Manchrster (22 August 2016)

Had a great holiday. 2nd visit and would go again. The hill is huge but the view worth it. Everything is clean and looked after and kids loved the facilities!
Dave from Manchester (13 August 2016)

Caravan was not very clean and in disrepair, shower was mouldy. Sink loose, kitchen taps ran when turned off beds uncomfortable and heavily worn. Swimming pool not particularly clean caravans are far too close to one another and can't park next to van, other facilities okay excep you have to walk through restaurant to get to swimming pool.
Simon from Chelmsford (13 August 2016)

When we got there the caravan was not very clean we had to sweep the carpet and wash all the dishes. There was mold on the curtains and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned the shower door had soap stains on it and hadn't been cleaned. There was dirty on the bathroom floor and mold on the wall. The dust was thick at the back of the toilet and sink.
Alison (13 August 2016)

We had a lovely holiday staff were excellent site facilities were great especially the food in the boat house bar and restaurant the not negative was that the caravan as not very clean.
Kevin from St.Helens (13 August 2016)

The site was nice and the loca area was pleasant with lots of nice places within an hour's drive as well as decent beaches within walking distance. The staff on site were all very plesant and helpfull especially the lovley lady in the shop. All in all we had a very nice break .
David from Birmingham (13 August 2016)

Would not stay again.
Iain from Oldbury (13 August 2016)

After arriving late due to a hospital appointment we were given the keys to the caravan given directions and was unable to locate it due to it having the wrong information in the window. We then had to return to the reception for more directions. After locating the van was disappointed to see a larger van had been moved from the pitch and this smaller van put in its place causing the surrounding area and the steps into the van to be covered in mud. After opening the door was thoroughly disappointed in the state of the van. We do not feel the standard of the van was anywhere near what was advertised. The beds hadn't been made up and the cleanliness was something to be desired. So it was another trip to the reception where we were told that they were closing in 5 minutes. After returning to the van two staff arrived to make up the beds, we voiced our numerous concerns to them and they told us they would pass them on. During the evening we discovered that the washing up bowl was broken, the shelf for the grill was missing and worst of all the toilet brush was absolutely disgusting! having two small children with us we had no option but to move our cases and things into the caravan. The next morning another trip to reception, boiler and television were not working and we listed the other problems. To be fair our concerns were dealt with quickly, new toilet brush and bowl were brought but on getting rid of the other toilet brush I got covered in faeces and urine. As I have already stated had it not been for the children I would have refused to stay and most definitely would not return
Colin from Walsall (12 August 2016)

Very disappointing holiday overall. Some good points such as enjoyable food in restaurant & close proximity to borth beach. Number and closeness of caravans makes it feel like staying in a car park, generally dated feel to park & facilities and pool area smells strongly of urine everyday. Caravan leaked from soil pipe and wasn't fixed despite us asking. Light in toilet broken & took 2 attempts to fix & then light fixing fell off suddenly. Faulty door closed on daughter's leg & staff only asked if we wanted to fill in an accident form - no concern or apology. Was hard work to try to make this holiday enjoyable for the children & not good value for money.
Natalie from London (08 August 2016)

Really enjoyed our break lovely caravan, great location and facilities. Would return. One improvement that needs attention is the swimming pool/changing area at poolside needs some attention. . there is one aspect that I wanted to feedback to yourselves, that being on our first night myself, my husband and 10 year old daughter experienced the most uncomfortable nights sleep, as the mattresses were very hard, whereby we could feel the metal springs at the surface of the bed that we were lying on(1xsingle 1xdouble). I reported this the following morning and lady mentioned she would ask housekeeping to come and change the mattress that day. This however didnt happen. I went again the following morning to chase it up and explained we had had a second uncomfortable night, and the response was that there wasnt any spare mattresses to change it with. This made for a disappointing experience.
Sarah from Denbighshire (08 August 2016)

Staff where vary helpful and friendly.but the carovan we stayed in was a big let down.there was a lot to do for younger children but not mush for are 8 and 10 year olds.the swimming pool was nice but the toilets disgusting thay where smelly the shower water outlets where blocked. There was a small shop on site witch was nice but did not catter for larger familys.
David from Teignmouth (06 August 2016)

The camp was very good and children enjoyed the "wipeout" each day in the pool with very fun and friendly staff. the restaurant was clean and food was lovely. launderette was very efficient too but the shop was not very well stocked and expensive so we tended to go out to the local shop. we went to the club each night which the children enjoyed but on the first three nights did not have to show passes, so stopped taking them. the next night was a different security staff and they asked for our passes and were quite rude when I said we hadnt been asked before and said we should have been, so this needs to be a general rule.
Elizabeth from Runcorn (06 August 2016)

Nothing fancy but ok
Geraint from Ynys Mon (06 August 2016)

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, great with the kids, couldn't do enough for you. Only disappointment was the prices in the club house restaurant and bar.
Alan from Oxford (06 August 2016)

We arrived after our check in time to be told that our caravan wasn't ready. We were offered an alternative that absolutely stank of cigarettes and was damp as the cleaning staff had left windows open and it had rained. We declined. We were left in the bar to wait. No one explained to us that the caravan we were booked into had been sold so they were moving another one into that space. 6 hours we waited. it took us to go find out what was going on .. only once we had been over did someone come see us and explain it would be a further wait. That was half a day gone!!. when we eventually got into the caravan we were covered in mud from the path and discovered it was smaller than the one booked. Hadn't been cleaned. Only clean bed linen left ( small mercy) we pulled the sofa bed out to find dead insects and gillette razor blades in there. The whole caravan smelt of damp. Not good for someone with asthma. No customer service and no one checked on us again. We spent our break off site until the night where we did use the bar. The entertainment was okay.. the kids enjoyed it tho. never ever ever again. We stay in wales 2 to 3 times a year and I will never stay at this park again.
Amanda from Halesowen (05 August 2016)

Great place to stay in wales
Matthew from Brentwood (05 August 2016)

Great accommodation in a lovely location. Excellent value for money, we would definitely return.
Robert from Salford (18 July 2016)

This was the 3rd time at brynowen for us. Caravan disappointing. Would have expected carpets throughout for gold but lounge and kitchen just had lino. Probably not return to this site as nothing new to see in this area but not the fault of the site staff.
Stephanie from Clowne (16 July 2016)

Clean and comfortable caravan. Not much to do compared to other sites. And very little to do in surrounding areas.
Clare from Ni (16 July 2016)

I took my grandaughters here for a well deserved break, never ever again, if you want tat, and arragent staff, esp the manager then this is for you, expensive but grotty food, dirty pool area, and very little in the way if changing areas, esp for disabled, had to really fight my cause to get the caravan we paid for, not very disable friendly, I couldn't even take my grandaughters to the park onsite, there was no way I could get there, the children's entertainers left a lot to b desired, thank god it was fine, otherwise I think we would gave returned home early,
Ann from Swansea (15 July 2016)

The site seemed to be well run with friendly staff. the beach was just a short distance away. site facilities other than the small shop were not used.
Janet from Cheshire (11 July 2016)

We loved the park. The only thing that I would possibly complain about is the paths get flooded!
Emily from Rushton Spencer (11 July 2016)

The campsite catered for young families, as an older couple we required a place less busy.
Christine from Resolven (01 July 2016)

Beautiful clean and well presented caravan. The staff could not have been more helpful. On the first day some rubbish bags had been left out and the seagulls had scattered the rubbish. The grounds were cleaned quickly. Wonderful views across cardigan bay.
Susanna from Birmingham (25 June 2016)

Nice holiday and helpful staff
Katie (24 June 2016)

Very nice location, lovely small friendly village by the sea, beaches 1st class, sadly no dogs allowed may-sept, but travel a mile or 2 down the road, for a dog friendly beach. Site was very clean, lovely place to walk round, staff very helpful & quick to resolve any problems. All in all very good time away, but would defo go for a better caravan next time.
Jonathon (10 June 2016)

Lovely site close to beach however if u want to book a travel cot do not book a bronze caravan there is no room for it without re arrange the caravan should not be allowed to book with cot in it just doesn't work
Joe (03 June 2016)

Had a great few days in a lovely caravan in a beautiful part of the country. All you could need for a break. Great for families.
Carol from Birmingham (03 June 2016)

Lovely location. Our caravan felt cramped in as completely surrounded by other statics on 4 sides which were very close. No outside area to sit and enjoy the evening and a small table light would have made the caravan feel more cosy . harsh lighting was awful. Nice pool but toilets were blocked and spilling on floor. Children were then walking barefoot through urine etc then returning to the pool. We did however enjoy our stay very much as weather was fantastic and we spent most of time out and about.
Amanda from Our Caravan Felt Cramped In As Completely Surround (30 May 2016)

Very nice location and generally nice site. on-site facilities were as expected
Edwin from Weston-Super-Mare (28 May 2016)

Really nice break - very comfortable and clean caravan
Derek from Telford (22 April 2016)

Brynowen is a great caravan site and very near the very long sand and shingle beach of borth, a small seaside village also handy for aberystwyth, coastal paths, dovey estuary and inland countryside.
M J from Rochdale (16 April 2016)

The caravan we were allocated was really nice. Like a home from home. The site was big and had lots to do. The entertainment was good and the children enjoyed sparky and sparkle. Outside the campsite there is a small town with a few shops and a beach and with only a 20 min car trip to aberystwyth its in a good location. Would stay again
Scott from Warrington (15 April 2016)

Really enjoyed our stay
Mark from Stockport (15 April 2016)

It was all very basic platinum caravan no view which was the biggest dissapointment for me as I was sure by paying the xtra that would be a given toaster and cooker not cleaned stain on carpet just not what u expect after paying for the best and the site itself is not activity based for kids the one thing they could do got cancelled also the town is very run down in places and not a lot of options there but it is convenient to aberystwyth so that's a plus. compared to previous holidays this site sadly didn't compare.
Andrew (08 April 2016)

Realy good site in a lovely area and a lovely modern van in as new condition. My only criticism is the ground surrounding the caravans is uneven and wet and muddy. So it didn't look very enviting.
Martin (04 April 2016)

Nice caravan but lots of clutter. Site very big would only recomend to familys who want to use all facilities. Lots of flies in caravan we had to buy fly spray.
Chris (25 March 2016)

Swimming pool was too cold for my children and food was not nice inside the club.
Charlotte from Shrewsbury (21 March 2016)
