Good as a base only for family's ideally situated for attractions such as Alton Towers, Thomas Land, Gulliver's, Conkers and much more. Also local amenities are close like restaurants, takeaways, supermarkets, butchers, bakers, pubs/bars. Mrs D from Forfar
I would definitely recommend this as somewhere to stay as a base. It is perfect if all you want is somewhere to comfortable to come home to after a days walking. The lodges had everything you needed and felt like a real home from home. It was very peaceful so if you want somewhere lively though this is not for you as there is nothing else there. There was a lovely pub about 3 minutes drive down the road, which did lovely food and a good supermarket about 5 mins drive away. There was a lovely country park (Elvaston Country Park) which took us about 5 minutes to walk to, which had lovely grounds and gardens to walk around. Places like Matlock, Chatsworth and Bakewell took about an hour to get to by car. Miss C from Lowestoft
A lovely location and the log cabins are "out of this world" !!! Miss W from Crawley
Very good holiday park. Owners were friendly and helpful. The lodge itself was clean, tidy and well equipped. Great location for surrounding attractions. Would definitely recommend this park to others. Mrs G from Dornoch
My wife and 4 kids had a great time here. We stayed in the 3 bedroomed cabin which was very clean and had lots of room. The location was great and the park was quite - we hope to go back later this year with the family. Mr F from Maynooth

I found it very nice and will recommend it! Mrs W from Bedford
The park was very nice and quiet, exactly what we wanted for a long weekend break. It is located just outside a very nice village and close enough to many larger towns and Derby, which meant you did not have to travel far for anything. The lodge was fantastic - very clean, tidy and comfortable. We would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying there, and would love to stay there again in the future. (We had great fun watching all the rabbits play in the evenings)! Miss S from Rushden
The park is in a wonderful area, and it is next to a large country park - we all had a great time will be back! Mr M from Brecon
It is centrally located to Nottingham and Derby with lots of theme parks for children, and lots of things to do in and around the area. Mrs B from Consett
Beechwood Park was a perfect long weekend, our lodge was of a very high specification and wonderfully clean. The owners were very helpful and gave us lots of advice on where to go etc. Mrs B from Dartford
A quiet ,friendly, family park away from it all, and a local pub with excellent food and hosts. Mrs S from Swanley

This was our third visit, tranquil, quiet and peaceful, will certainly be back for a fourth visit. Mr F from West Linton
The area was lovely, and the castle and grounds nearby were great for a walk or family bike ride - the gardens in particular were stunning! Miss H from Leeds
I am reluctant to recommend this holiday because I want to keep it all to myself! Mr F from West Linton
We have just spent a week at Birchtree Park near Derby, the site was lovely, the views were very pretty and the cabins were spacious and comfortable. The fishing lakes were very good. The experience was quite simply totally relaxing and enjoyable. The site was ideally located for days out to Twycross Zoo, Newstead Abbey, Matlock Bath, Crich Tramway, Chatsworth and a number of other places. The leaflet suggestions in the lodge were very helpful and through this we found Brierlow Bar bookshop where we spent a very nice morning. Can't wait to return!! Mr M from Billingham
Just a few words to say how pleased we were with the lodge we had for four days at Beechwood Park. The park was very peaceful, clean and the lodge was fitted out to a very high standard. The on site fishing lakes were excellent and we would have no hesitation in recommending these lodges to anyone contemplating a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Mrs C from Great Yarmouth
The lodge was very well appointed and the furnishings and fittings were of an extremely high standard. The park gave a peaceful and restful holiday. Mrs C from Great Yarmouth
A pleasant park, quiet and well set out. I have recommended the park to friends and colleagues as it is ideal for a break away from the rat race. Mr B from Winsford
Good standard of accommodation - not a lodge only site. Cold lodges in the winter! Mrs C from Glossop
This is excellent accomadation, we spent 4 days fishing, this was some of the best fishing we have done for along time and the most enjoyable! I would recommend this park to anyone who enjoys fishing, the site owners very helpful and pleasant also. Mr B from Cannock
If you want peace then this is a good park to go to as its very quiet and relaxed. Mrs R from Glasgow
Convenient for Nottingham, Derby and local sightseeing. The accommodation, including furnishings and equipment was good and comfortable - I would have liked to stay longer! Mr H from Reigate
For those seeking a relaxing break this park is perfect. Small, well managed and situated in a great location for touring the attractions of Derbyshire. Hard to improve on it was everything we wanted - excellent! Mr L
Good area for touring base. Lovely quiet location. Elvaston Castle a short walk away-worth a visit to grounds although house not open to public. Excellent green areas for children to play near lodges. Cleanliness of lodges excellent. Mrs G from Bridgend
I actually would recommend the site to others because the lodges are excellent, the site owners were polite and friendly, and the location was good. Mr M from Haverhill
The lodges are very close to each other and we had very loud people next to us not quite giving us the quite relaxing break that i was hoping for. It was very cold in the lodge especially the bathroom you could never warm it up, the small electric towel rail was not ample. When getting up of a morning or even during the day i could see my breath as if i were outside. Mr V from Bedford
Such a lovely park. We enjoyed a four night stay in a lodge and it was the perfect break for us as a couple, also we are planning to come back same time next year as the price was very reasonable. The lodge was really cosy and well furnished, and i would recommend it to people looking for a quiet break. Miss B from Leicester
