I think it's exciting moving along the water and observing life and scenery in this area, adventurous when mooring up and casting off with alot of skills learnt, relaxing as you move through the different places, exilerating with the freedom and total relaxation it gives you, overall thoroughly enjoyable. You don't know what you will find that day, the broads are just so beautiful, you'll can't wait to get going every morning. Mrs D from Derby (08/09/2010) A great relaxing holiday. Our party included 2 children (5 yrs old) and they loved the boat and the parks. One bit of advice would be to get up early to make sure you can get moored at the busier spots! Cant wait to go back and we were personally very impressed with the Ferry Marina staff at Horning! Mr R from Newcastle Upon Tyne (01/09/2010) Rain or shine we had a fantastic time, Ferry Marina staff are great, very helpful.Mrs M from Sunbury-On-Thames (01/09/2010) from the initial picking up of the boat and to the mooring up at the end I can honestly say that the staff were very helpful and proffesional. I certainly would give Hoseasons and Ferry Marina our custom again and would highly recommend others to do so.Mrs C from Birmingham (24/08/2010) Myself,my husband, son and 9 year old grandson spent a lovely week on the Golden Emblem. This was our first time so we were a little bit nervous but we need not have worried because the crew at the boatyard were great and made sure we knew exactly what we had to do. We had some sunshine and a little bit of of rain but I can honestly say it did't matter at all about the weather because the broads are really beautiful and there is so much to see and do. Parents saw over fifty bird species and luxuriated in eating out every day, visiting villages and churches and meeting locals and other boat crews. The river scenery was varied and beautiful and so very different viewed from the water!Mr E from Ellon (28/07/2010) Very peaceful and relaxing. We were delighted by the excellent service & attention to detail from initial booking through to departure at the end of our holiday. Handover was particularly excellent & we set off confident that we would be fully supported by Ferry marina if the need arose. The Golden Emblem was everything we expected & more & we were delighted with our choice. Even as complete novices we found it easy to manoeuvre in all sorts of tricky places.Mrs A from Loughborough (27/04/2010) A high quality boat and service in an area of outstanding tranquility. As novices we still had a really enjoyable experience. Salhouse Broad and the River Ant were our particular favorites. A very relaxing holiday for the whole family.Mr N from St. Andrews (18/11/2009) I would certainly recommend this type of holiday to my friends and family, there are not many holidays where you can stay at a different location every night for this kind of price.Mrs W from Oldham (12/11/2009) Great boat , great break and great value for money! The Norfolk Broads are quite special and I'd say a unique UK destination. The wildlife is diverse , the environment is beautiful and the rivers a place of pleasant camaraderie. We rented the Opal Emblem and had a fantastic short break in October. From the moment we arrived to leaving we thoroughly enjoyed our break. Made all the more special by the staff and the people of the broads. The Ferry Marina boat yard facilities were very good and even had a swimming pool. Ian gave us our helpful relaxed induction which included local information and tips on spotting Kingfishers , ( these tips were highly successful with pictures to prove it). The bonus wildlife experience was sightings of otters!!! The Opal Emblem is not a young boat but has everything you need and excellently maintained. The floatation aids provided were discrete and uncumbersome. We noted that of all the hire boats on the broads this stylish looking craft created the least wash. The information pack on board covered everything we needed to know and well worth a good read. We would use the same company again and take the wider family next time. AdviceA weekend is not enough to explore all that the Broads have to offer but a great break nonetheless! Take a sleeping bag for extra warmth in the potential cold nights of autumn. The smaller Broads are quiet and beautiful, great places to soak up the wildlife. I think it was Ranworth broad that had a tourist information base, a shop, cafe, public mooring and lots of facilities. We did not have the boat to explore beyond the river banks, so can not comment on any of the tourist attractions... this trip for us was simply a river and wildlife experience and we covered all we wanted and more.I hope you enjoy your experience as much as we did! M from Heywood (02/11/2009) The boat, a very worthwhile way to visit the area, from the centre of Norwich to the remoter Fens.Mr M from Cannock (08/10/2009) I would recommend Swan Craft the boat we had Swan Rapier was everything we thought it would be in terms of layout and fittings and presented in a very tidy manner. We have had a break every year for the passed 5 years on the Norfolk Broads (only 45 mins drive from our home) this years was the best by far due to the type of boat I would also like to mention the Staff at Swan Craft were very welcoming and helpful in getting us underway in good time.Mr W from Stowmarket (24/09/2009) Very relaxing, fantastic scenery. I have been coming to the broads for fifteen years and still find something new. The local people are very helpful and friendly. After all the years i still look forward to my next visit. I vote ROYALLS the best BOATYARD by far.Mr B from Bolton (22/09/2009) My husband and I both really enjoyed our first boating experience. We found it relaxing and fun and especially enjoyed exploring the natural beauty around us. Our boat was just right for the two of us with everything we needed on board. I was surprised just how much storage space there was - certainly enough for two although it would have been a struggle for any more. The catering facilities were fine although we took advantage of the many pubs by the riverside and ate out quite a few times - more of a holiday for me! Next year we are thinking of getting a bigger boat and sharing with friends.Mrs. B from Hull (22/09/2009) Watching wildlife is great from a boat, animals seem to ignore you, we have passed so close to Kingfishers you could reach out and touch them. Tying up in some quiet mooring and just watching the birds and the boats and the river, it is impossible not to relax. Mr R from Scarborough (20/09/2009) I have recommended this holiday to friends and family. This is the second time i have been away with Hoseasons boating and to date have never been disappointed.Mr D from Leicester (15/09/2009) This was was our first boating holiday and we had a few best ever holiday moments. The cruiser had the best ever kitchen, where else can you cook with perfect sunsets shimmering across the water outside your kitchen window. It was a similar story with the dining area and eating alfresco on the top deck at sunset, no restaurant in the world could offer such a beautiful setting. We are now hooked on boating and are already planning to come back next year. Mr D from Chinnor (15/09/2009) Fantastic time & relaxing together.Mr W from Horsham (13/09/2009) The Broads were fantastic - the good weather obviously added a lot to the experience. The handover was excellent and although initially daunted by the boat we soon became confident in most manoeuvres! The boat was well equipped - everything we needed. I would recommend spending time planning your route/stops on the Broads to get the most out of it - we loved the quiet backwaters, not the busy little towns.Mr R from Hove (12/09/2009) Yes. It was a wonderful holiday; really relaxing and the weather was superb even though most of the rest of the country was not so fortunate! My husband and I loved the boat, the wildlife and the of course the beautiful Broads. My husband said it was one of our best holidays ever and would thoroughly recommend it. In fact we have been recommending it to everyone who has asked us about it since coming home.Mrs J from Folkestone (11/09/2009) Fantastic stress free short break, excellent accommodation on boat.Dr H from Leicester (03/09/2009) It was lovely to spend time as a family, no stress, traffic or work... just the open water and lovely sights.. miss J from Sidcup (03/09/2009) Great relaxing break.Mr W from Bedford (02/09/2009) This type of holiday is for people who want to shut off from their normal working routines. The pace is slow and leisurely and the pubs a sociable place to be in the evenings. Not all boat destinations inspiring for young children.Mrs M from Basingstoke (02/09/2009) Definitely recommend a boating holiday on The Norfolk Broads to experience a slower pace of life. We'll certainly return at some point.Mrs O from Worcester (31/08/2009) The boat was really well equipped and comfortable. We chose the holiday to get away from every day stresses and strains and therefore moored away from the crowds. We enjoy cooking healthy and tasty meals and having a well equipped boat was really important to us. We did take our own wok, home grown vegetables and herbs and enjoying the results at sunset! Others may choose to experience a more social experience, however the choice is one of the best parts. It's possible to tailor your perfect holiday to your particular taste.Mrs R from Crewe (25/08/2009) A delightful week's boating, lots of interesting places to visit, good pubs and restaurants are usually handy close to moorings. The member of your staff who handed the boat over to use was charming and helpful.Mrs D from Welwyn Garden City (22/08/2009) We have visited the Broads for many years and always have a great holiday. Give it a try !Mr R from Loughton (20/08/2009) Driving the boat is extremely relaxing and sitting watching the sun go down over the reed beds is sheer blissDr H from Guildford (18/08/2009) I can thoroughly recommend this holiday, it was certainly a lovely way to unwind and relax, we got so much out of this saw lots of wildlife etc. and the people were so friendly! We will definitely be coming again!Mrs H from Winchmoore Hill (17/08/2009) Oulton Broad is well worth visiting and passing through Breydon Water isn't as scary as you think! We gad a nice meal at the Old Inn in Horning itself but just mooring up in the middle of nowhere and cooking for yourself is fantastic!Mr H from Lancaster (17/08/2009) Very relaxing and staff at the yard were helpful and efficient, and a lot of fun for the family.Mrs G from Corsham (16/08/2009) Very good holiday enjoyed by us and 3 children age 13 8 & 8. Unlike a static caravan the views change while you are on the move. There are places to see amd visit, or there is the quiet expanses of waterways for relaxation. I couldn't fault the holiday, the weather was perfect and everyone we passed so friendly - thanks!Miss H from Surbiton (27/07/2009) Completely relaxing!Mr D from Lossiemouth (27/07/2009) I would recommend a holiday with Hoseasons on the Norfolk Broads because it is a unique experience in beautiful surroundings. We were on our honeymoon on the Silver Emblem which was just like being in a floating hotel room - we had a wonderful time.Miss. O from Addlestone (27/07/2009) A fun experience. Everyone including the mooring staff and other holidaymakers were very friendly and helpful in a beautiful and relaxing environment.Mrs B from Manchester (25/07/2009) I really couldn't fault anything - we all had a really good time, the only thing was a week was too short!Mr K from Peterhead (23/07/2009) We had a great time, it was so relaxing and we had some lovely food and saw some lovely scenery. We were very impressed by the attention to detail of all the things supplied on the boat. Mr D from Northampton (23/07/2009) This was our first time on the Broads (or any boating holiday) and therefore we decided on a short break, however we all (my partner, two kids 11 and 8, and me) thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the holiday including the relaxing sailing up and down the Broads, the hospitality and good food at the local pubs and restaurants and the friendly people. We are already looking to book for next year, but this time for a week to allow us to venture onto the Southern Broads.Mr H from Barnsley (23/07/2009) Whatever the weather the whole family will have a great time as there is so much to see and do both onboard and on the land! Mr C from Guildford (05/07/2009) It is a thoroughly enjoyable experience that you can only appreciate by actually taking part in it.Mr S from Grimsby (04/07/2009) A peaceful, relaxing de-stress break.Mrs. R from Stowmarket (21/06/2009) A wonderful boating experience we will be doing again.Mrs R from Market Rasen (16/06/2009) It was the most relaxing, stress free holiday we have ever had. Just being on the water and being close to nature was wonderful, on one day we saw 3 otters playing while we had breakfast, then we took a slow trip down the river ant and were lucky enough to see 11 kingfishers, 3 of which we managed to photograph, and later while having champagne on top of the boat in the evening by St. Benets Abbey we saw 2 barn owls, 2 marsh harriers and then fell asleep hearing the deer barking in the fields, magical!!!Mrs H from Norwich (16/06/2009) I would recommend boating on the Broads as it is a completely different experience and very relaxing.Miss S from Coalville (11/06/2009) Its a very different holiday for those who want complete peace and relaxation. All the people on other boats are extremely friendly and everyone helps each other out when mooring up. It restores your faith in other people and gives you time to appreciate wildlife and our environment. Mrs H from Eastleigh (11/06/2009) Only complaint? It went far too quickly! A restful and relaxing holiday in superb surroundings with an extremely comfortable and easy to handle boat. It beats lying on a beach, but also allowed us to chill and feel free and away from the real world.Mr H from Accrington (05/06/2009) There is nothing like being in control of a boat!Mr W from Tunbridge Wells (05/06/2009) The most enjoyable, relaxing and interesting holiday we have had for a long time. The wildlife and the ability to observe it so closely is amazing.Mrs B from Lymington (05/06/2009) We both had a truly peaceful and relaxing time. If we wanted to move or change location, we just slipped our mooring and went somewhere different! Really great!Mr V from Exmouth (05/06/2009) A fantastic experience which I will have to do again next year!Mrs B from Wrexham (05/06/2009) It was so relaxing. We were of mixed ages from 24 to 60 but all enjoyed every moment and want to do it again. Although we only had 3 days we felt so relaxed, it was as if we had had a week away. There was so much to see and plenty of places to stop and explore or just have a drink and something to eat.Mrs H from Kettering (05/06/2009) Our first time on the Norfolk Broads and it won't be the last!Mr R from Brighouse (05/06/2009) I would recommend it as it was a very enjoyable experience, and easy to get the hang of.Mr. W from Horsham (05/06/2009)
