Perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. Carole from Stowmarket (29 September 2018)
The size and location were good, cleanliness not so good. Decking seemed to be held together with duck tape , Anne from Hove (22 September 2018)
What a wonderful week we had at ripples. A cosy little cottage in a beautiful location, right on the waterside with boat hire available a short, 30 second walk away. Factilities at ripples were excellent with a well equipped kitchen, lounge, and comfortable beds. The decked area outside is conducive to relaxing by the water until late, and fishing is easy from the wooden quay, although I think it was a little early in the season for pike, with only one caught, there were plenty of signs of tench activity right in front of you. If fishing isn't your thing there is plenty of birdlife passing, and apparently otters, although we didn't see one this visit. I was lucky enough to see two kingfishers flying past though. It is hard to find any fault with ripples. I noticed the bathroom extractor fan wasn't working, and the one in the kitchen switched itself on at 2am one morning, as did the tv. These are only minor niggles though, and certainly didn't detract from what was a wonderful stay. We certainly look forward to returning sometime! Tim from Bramcote (15 September 2018)
Lovely little place ideal for two people, any more would be cramped. everything is there including iron and ironing board. Smashing location my husband enjoyed fishing so peaceful. Diane from Croydon (23 June 2018)
Enjoyed our holiday . cottage meeting all our needs. very peaceful and a short walk into horning itself. I also used the cottage as a base to explore the surrounding broads. Gwendoline from Peterborough (09 June 2018)
Clean, comfortable and good value for money. location was lovely, although when we booked it we thought that it was on the main river and we could enjoy watching all the variety of sailing vessels go by. whereas it is away from the main river on a quiet inlet with less to view. This did not stop us enjoying it. Meg from Rugby (02 June 2018)
A compact clean and comfortable base for exploring the broads. Good village facilities nearby. easy dedicated parking. David from Stoke (05 May 2018)
The cottage was lovely and clean, and all the necessary equipment you need in the kitchen. the only critisim is we did not know about a switch in the cupboard where the hot water cylinder was, so we had cold water, boiling a kettle when we needed to wash up - which was much as we eat out every evening! it would had been handy to have a note about it when you entered the property the first day. my husband loved the fishing and caught quite a few plus saw an otter two grass snakes swimming about and netted a pike! all in all a very nice property Deborah from Billericay (11 July 2015)
