"Fabulous" new Fenocchi's opens at Cricket St Thomas
Set in the former walled garden of Warner Leisure's historic Cricket St Thomas Hotel, the new Fenocchi's Italian restaurant offers an exciting new dining experience for guests and day visitors to the recently restored gardens.
Part of a £3million investment in the Grade II listed hotel the new restaurant has been created in an authentic Italian style with oak beams, panelling and slate floors.
Only the second Fenocchi's to be opened within the group, Cricket St Thomas is confident the venture will be as popular and successful as the original 'Fenocchi's' which opened last year at Thoresby Hall Hotel & Spa on the edge of Sherwood Forest.
Offering a wide range of mouth-watering dishes, many cooked in a traditional stone-bake oven and served with a choice of Italian wines, diners can opt for an informal lunch as part of a day enjoying the recently restored gardens or linger over dinner in the evenings.
The maestro behind the menu is award-winning chef Jason Eland who comes to Fenocchi's with a wealth of experience at many top restaurants including some, which he has helped achieve AA rosettes for fine dining.
From Devon, Jason has previously worked for Terence Conran in London and in Hereford, where he ran his own award-winning restaurant, as well as Yeovil before joining Warner Leisure Hotels, his first role in a major hotel group.
He said: "Opening a new restaurant, especially one in such a superb location, is hugely exciting. Fenocchi's has developed a unique style at Thoresby Hall Hotel and I am thrilled to be taking such an innovative brand forward."
