Summer holidays - book now to avoid disappointment
If you haven't already booked your summer holiday - now is the time to think about making that booking.
Many holiday companies are still offering discounts on summer holidays, but the closer you get to the
summer holidays, the less choice you'll have. So get cracking now, and bag the holiday you deserve.
UK or Overseas
Where to take your summer holiday, that's always the dilemma. Holidaying in the
UK means you are at the mercy of the great British weather. Perfect on a hot summers
day, but not so good when it pours down .On the other hand, take your summer break
in somewhere like Spain, Portugal, or the Canary Islands, and you will pretty much
guarantee the hot weather.
It's not all positive though, going overseas on holiday can be a pain. Airport delays,
your pound not getting as many Euros as you'd like, the children not liking the food. And
of course the cost of the holiday itself.
Choose your holiday
Whatever type of holiday you are looking for, you're sure to find something which takes your fancy.
Try a package holiday for
a (relatively) stress free holiday. The joy of a package holiday is that you don't
need to book all the individual bit which go to make up your holiday - flights,
hotel, transfers, etc. A package holiday puts all these together; after all,
that's what the "package" is. Or for a quieter affair, look at some of the
holiday villas available -
and spend your summer holiday relaxing by a private pool.
If you find it impossible to travel light, why not take a holiday in the UK.
You can fill the car up with all your stuff, and just drive to the destination.
A UK holiday means you don't have to squeeze your possessions into a small bag
for the flight. Having said that, it might rain! Choose a holiday park
for a action packed family holiday, or go for a quieter log cabin lodge holiday for a more peaceful summer break.
If you've got a pet to take with you, have a look at some of the holiday cottages available.
Many of these are "pet friendly", so your best friend can go along too.
