Review of Black Hall Holiday Lodges - Shropshire

Black Hall Lodges - Shropshire

Another visit to Black Hall Lodges

We've written a Blackhall Lodges review before, and liked the place so much, we've been again! Only this time we stayed in one of the new Scandinavian style lodges. Our chosen lodge this time was the Inari Lodge. This lodge, like all the lodges and log cabins at Black Hall, has a private hot tub over looking the valley.

Our previous stays at Blackhall had all been in the Canadian style log cabins, and we weren't sure what to expect from our stay in a Scandinavian style lodge; when we looked around the lodge though, we realised we'd have no reason to be disappointed.

The Inari Lodge

The Inari lodge is a two bedroom accommodation, with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. And you won't believe the size of the lodge - it's huge!

Entering through the front door, you have a utility room with a washing machine, and enough room to keep all your coats, shoes and wellies (remember, Blackhall is a working farm - so bring your wellies). Going through the utility room, there is a large shower room and toilet off the right, and the twin bedroom directly across the hallway. The living area (with a woodburing stove) is to your left, along with the kitchen area. The patio doors lead from the living area, out onto the veranda - where you'll find that all important private hot tub.

Taking the stairs up to the first floor, you'll find the main bedroom off to the right, with a large double bed, and doors which open up onto a balcony overlooking the valley. Taking a left at the top of the stairs takes you into the main bathroom. This is the biggest bathroom I've ever seen. You'll find another shower and toilet, and also a gigantic corner bath - and get this - a sauna! Oh yes, this bathroom has its own sauna. That's not something you'll find in every lodge holiday you'll have - and it's just one of the reasons which makes Black Hall extra special.

It's not just the lodges

It's not just the fantastic accommodation which makes Black Hall Lodges extra special though. The whole place seems to have so much going for it. Situated in a valley on the Welsh/Shropshire border, and a few miles away from "the real world", Blackhall is the ideal place to getaway for a few days. But Blackhall also has a swimming pool and games room, so those of us with kids can keep them entertained. And there's plenty of walks to have, and breathe in that fresh Shropshire air.

Videos of Blackhall

Through the power of 21st century technology, we've taken a few videos of Black Hall Lodges, hopefully it'll give you an idea of what Black Hall is all about. We took the first video at the entrance to Blackhall, and it'll hopefully give you an idea of the scale of the place. Another video was taken near the log cabins - as these were obscured by a line of trees in the first video.

We've also taken a video in the games room and pool area too, so you can see the kind of thing we're talking about.

I hope the videos give you a taste of what Blackhall can offer you. If you're interested in a holiday at Black Hall, you can find out about prices and availability from Hoseasons. Hoseasosns offers hundreds of lodge and log cabins in their brochure - so even if Black Hall Lodges isn't for you (or all their lodges and log cabins are fully booked), you should be able to find something which takes your fancy.
