Though this property was sited conveniently for the places we wanted to visit, the property is next to a very busy main route with little outside space with no where to dry washing outside. originally there was going to be four of us but one person couldn't make it, I think we would have struggled to sit comfortably in the lounge with four of us. The rooms need a new coat of paint. On a plus the beds were comfortable. Amanda from Devon (08 July 2017)
Loved the cottage, as it has been recently re-decorated with my favourite flowers, poppies, downstairs & a beautiful turqouise main bedroom. The little reading nook on the landing is a brilliant idea . everywhere was lovely and clean. A well equipped cottage which we really enjoyed. The only downside for my technolgy keen family, was that there was no wi-fi and the tv only showed free-view programmes! shame. (lol). how ever that was soon fixed when we found plas penealdroch manor, just down the road towards betws-y-coed. It's being restored but they have a cafe with fantastic food & free wifi!! we are hoping to book it again for next year. Kim from Birmingham (10 June 2017)
Unfortunately there is no wifi available. Henry (20 May 2017)
Beautiful cottage just what we were looking for within easy access of lots of attractions Mark from Gloucestershire (29 April 2017)
Lovely cottage. We had a great time. V relaxing. Can't wait to go back. Rebecca (17 April 2017)
The cottage was warm and comfortable and well equipped. It's in a great location. Short walk to the nearest pub. the cottage exceeded our expectations from the photographs. Parking fine and extra parking behind the 2 cottages. We will definitely go back. Also needed to speak to the owner and he was lovely and helpful. Confirmed Guest (30 October 2016)
Lovely cosy cottage. Shame about busy road, treated as a race track by stupid drivers. Parking not easy even with small car. Wouldn't put me off going again. Angela from St Leonards On Sea (01 October 2016)
Cottage was clean, well-equipped and in a good location for a base from which to explore snowdonia. It is just outside a quiet village with pretty views although it is on a busy road. The off road parking can be a little tricky to get in and out of but overall would definitely recommend. Andy from Peterborough (13 August 2016)
Excellent comfy cottage in prime location for easy access. kitchen cosy, clean and well equiped. beds comfortable and plenty of hot water for showers. we had a fantastic time exploring the local area. Lou from Hereford (30 July 2016)
The tv wouldn't work , we had problems with one of the heaters in the bedroom and the downstairs shower was v poor. The cottage was ok but was v cold when we arrived , took along time to warm the place up , we wouldn't go again . Catherine from Appleybridge (02 January 2016)
A very nice cottage spoilt by the race track of a road it sits beside Paul from Stallingborough (24 October 2015)
Great place with lot of space, nice fireplace and big kitchen. Veronika from London (17 October 2015)
Fantastic cottage and very cosy.good location for snowdonia and had fantastic weather but unfortunately holiday cut short due to family bereavement.the three days we had we managed to climb snowdonia and fantastic walks with our dog .will defiantly return and would highly recommend this lovely part of wales . Gayle from Oldham (03 October 2015)
The cottage was the perfect place to explore the beautiful surroundings from. The rear bedroom with the twin bedrooms was a little dark but otherwise not much to fault it on. Was handy having the two showers and the kitchen was well equipped. Steven from Bury St Edmunds (22 August 2015)
As in my previous e-mail. Very enjoyable holiday.one small hiccup there was no rack in the cooker grill pan which made grilling sausages a challenge. Not a complaint but others might consider it so. Otherwise good service and thank you. David from Dereham ,Norfolk (18 July 2015)
Cottage was too remote and on the main road. village far away and few amenities in the village and only accessible by walking on main road. Terry from Southampton (06 June 2015)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ysgoldy. The only downside from our point of view is the busy road, which runs very close to the cottage. We did have slight difficulty identifying the property when we arrived, as we were not sure which was 'the bunkhouse'. perhaps it might be helpful to describe it as 'a large red property, with a flag pole at the front ( flying a flag when we were there!) Margaret from Harrogate (23 May 2015)
Convenient location for making the most of the entire snowdonia national park area. Theresa from Bury St Edmunds (18 April 2015)
A lovely cottage, beautifully clean and modern decor. The location is excellent for getting about in the area. The only downside is very limited parking for 2 cars, road noise if you are not used to it and intermittent tv signal. Tv is useful for weather forecasts as no internet available. Mandy from Wantage (04 April 2015)
Have been to the cottage a number of times and will continue to do so. the cottage is home from home and has all the comforts you need. The location is wonderful and the scenery is beautiful. Can't wait until our next visit. Karen from Suffolk (28 February 2015)
We think it is brilliant value,we really did not want to come home, just so relaxing,we know it is on a busy lane but that really did not bother us ,would we recommend it ,yes 100 percent. Angela from Erith Kent (20 September 2014)
Lovely homely cottage in a great central location for all we wanted to do whilst in wales. . recommend sitting on the sofa on landing with a glass of wine enjoying the spectacular view. Paul from Boston, Lincs (02 August 2014)
A very nice cottage , a bit of traffic noise during the day but at night very quite . good off road parking . David from Gosport (07 June 2014)
The only negative was that it didn t have a garden. Natascha from Fakenham (31 May 2014)
We enjoyed our stay at ysgoldy. was a very comfortable place to stay for a relaxing week away. the only improvements I can suggest are that we found it difficult to find. we were sure how far along the road from betws-y-coed we had gone. would have been useful to know that if we got to dolwyddelan, we'd gone too far. also, they describe a 'bunk house' shortly before ysgoldy, but it wasn't particularly obvious as a bunk house. overall, good value for money and comfortable - we enoejoyed our stay. Thanks. Catherine from Woking (26 October 2013)
Directions given were not very good as we never did find the bunk house which we were told to look for.included in the details was a tumble drier but there was only a very good washing machine which we think was quiet new but there was no dryer.we knew it was on a road but did not know that the property never had any double glazing which if had been fitted to the front room bedroom would have made it more easy to get some sleep by cutting some of the traffic noise down. Janet from Dover (19 October 2013)
Good cottage, good facilities and comfotable furniture. Always clean and tidy, Stephen from Cwmbran (28 September 2013)
A wonderful, charming and well equipped cottage in a good location for most of the attractions and walks in north wales. Very clean, and lovely view out of the front windows (ignoring the road). no phone reception for o2, but the tv worked fine. A very handy spar shop half a mile up the road, and plenty of brochures about the area and the things to do there, in the box in the entrance hall. Overall a lovely comfortable place, and we will be going back for a future visit very soon. Morgaine from Cumbria (Rural) (31 August 2013)
Location, spacious. Sykes from Cardiff (27 April 2013)
Very pretty cottage and was well laid out, lovely kitchen, good wet area by front door, and nice bedrooms, comfortable beds. Stephen from Cwmbran (22 September 2012)
We had a bit of trouble finding the cottage, we never did find the bunk house! We loved the cottage and found everything easily, it was well equipped although we didn’t use the tumble dryer! Customer 31 (July 2012)
Beautifully furnished with seating area on first floor balcony overlooking rolling hills. Well equipped kitchen, shower downstairs and en-suite bathroom to main bedroom upstairs. Anna from Portsmouth (16 June 2012)
Property was well furnished, clean and comfortable. Storage heaters kept the cottage surprisingly warm overnight and the en-suite bathroom was a pleasant surprise in a two bedroomed property. There was plenty of hot water available 24/7 and the kitchen was well supplied with culinary utensils. I was very impressed and have already re-booked for a second week in October 2012. Customer 33 (June 2012)
Lovely cottage just in right place and with very comfortable beds. Heating was on which was great as we arrived on a rainy day. Shops nearby in various villages or small towns. Planning to book again. Customer 34 (June 2012)
Very well equipped kitchen. Good views Andrea from Chelmsford (26 May 2012)

Great location and house had everything you could possible need. Like a home from home. Customer 42 (March 2010)
