Very welcoming owners. nice restful week and our dog thoroughly enjoyed himself. would definitely go there again.
Barry from Birmingham (24 September 2016)

Great central location for both north and south coast everything in place for a comfortable pleasurable stay cottage and grounds fine pubs near for good food/beer also plenty of secure space for dogs to exercise.
Matthew from Evesham Worcs (03 September 2016)

This cottage we stopped at was situated right at the end of the garden near a busy dangerous road where a fence was put up and traffic can just crash through the fence like around a corner and we could hear traffic. security light kept us awake at night - coming on three times. . the place was like a chalet-horrible with mucky dirty shower and wood fire in living room was difficult to put on with storage heaters don't work properly. One of them came on after two days. . there was no oven gloves or baking trays. we cooked using some glass tray which looked dirty. have to buy baking trays of your own and shower descaler cleaner. . the garden was lovely.
Angela from Haverhill, Suffolk (13 August 2016)

Directions were a little confusing. Bungalow was clean although very damp & smelled musky. Gardens were stunning but we felt we were trespassing on someone's land rather than feeling comfortable.
Candy from Wiltshire (06 August 2016)

Really enjoyed our stay nice cottage owners seem nice and left us alone which for us was perfect
Sean (16 July 2016)

If you want a cottage that has easy access to plenty of good walks, close to several good pubs and is close to both the north and south cornish coasts this is ideal for a couple. The grounds are wonderful and it's only a short drive to truro, falmouth, nelson and porthleven. . our only concern is that it may be quite a cold cottage in the early spring and late autumn although there is a woodburning stove.
Mike from Taunton (09 July 2016)

Lovely holiday cottage ideal spot for exploring south cornwall. facilities and equipment wise had everything we needed. Pub 5 min walk, shops, restaurants/take aways short drive away. huge garden backing onto woods and footpaths. Only downside if had to be pickie would be that it was close to road and some traffic noise but not constant and in parts garden wall low in places. If your dog likely to jump out would be a problem. . didn't effect us and would use again.
Jackie from Ashford, Kent (02 July 2016)

Rather cold and damp in full shade. The garden was good but we found it insecure for our dog as it was flanked by two busy roads. The exit gate was on one road near a bend which made for risky. Turning.
Confirmed Guest (15 June 2016)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at allways nice cottage very comfortable and relaxing with lovely grounds for walks would recamend to friends .
Joyce from Plymouth (16 April 2016)

The cottage was very dirty the toilet didnt flush properly there was mould all over the blind in the bathroom no heating in the bathroom very cold in the main room cause fire didnt light properly could not lock the cottage from the inside cause the lock was broken in could not stay the whole because of smell of dampness came home on mon night did put a letter of complaint to the owner only received £50 back by way of saying sorry
Sue from Ipswich (21 November 2015)

Cottage was cold and damp, smelt musty on entry. Problem with fridge which ruined some food. There was no washing machine, therefore a pull-up drier which stayed up would have been helpful! although cottage, linen etc was clean there was a coffee-maker in the cupboard which had white mold in it. Grounds were lovely and the local pub excellent.
Alice from Fife (15 August 2015)

Rooms cold and damp. Place a little bit dirty and road noise is a bit annoying. . not very welcoming and the directions were terrible. . location to get to all the local attractions is great. And grounds are lovely.
Robert from Norfolk (01 August 2015)

The summerhouse was lovely, set in spectacular grounds. the accommodation was spacious, very comfortable and easy to manage. the kitchen was very well furbished, small but had everything you would need to cook for several people. the thing for us was the setting, the garden is fantastic, we took our dog and she loved it. We would definitely stay there again.
Barbara from Bradford (25 July 2015)

We met by a man who said the property was his sisters and she was on holiday. There was not a welcome pack, so it ment we got there at three a clock and by the time we got our things in the cottage, the found a super market it was seven in the evening. there was not any imformation about nearest doctor or hospital, which was very poor. we were not told who was on site if we wanted to know any thing about the property. It was a very cold property and they had a storage heater on all the time, bit it was the same size as the one the bedroom and it had to heat the lounge, kitchen and out to the front door nearly. We had to come home on the wednesday as my wife had sickness ansdiarrhoea, I am not blaming that where we stayed but there was not anyone to tell. we were leaving. also there was a steep concrete slope as you got to the front door and you had to turn a 180 degrees to get into it,which being disabled with ms I had to get my wife to help me to turn my wheel chair even though I was pushing it.
Rodney from Bristol (27 June 2015)

Nice location very pleasant holiday
Stephen from Middlesbrough (30 May 2015)

Hosts welcoming and very helpful. Situated in beautiful grounds with walks for the dog available locally. Well placed for exploring cornwall. would have appreciated a visitor's book with suggestions for places to visit and eat out-written by previous guests. Bathroom was cold and damp-needed at least a heated towel rail.
Ann from Mold (16 May 2015)

Lovely little summer house in beautiful grounds which were needed with two dogs. Pleasently surprised with the accommodation and a perfect layout for us. Having read the reviews we were expecting lots of noise from the road but this was hardly noticeable and certainly not an issue. We will recommend to others, lovely holiday
Confirmed Guest (21 March 2015)

2nd year of staying here, great location & ideal for dog walking.
Geoff from Little Haywood (20 September 2014)

The cottage provides a convenient location for visiting cornwall. However the property is set with a road in front and down the side so it is not quiet. The whole place looks like it could do with a bit of tlc and there were a number of minor things that need attention and it smells damp and musty when you first enter. The cottage can be quite gloomy indoors due to the trees near the cottage.there is a nice walk from the rear of the property through local woods but other than that the road limits walking anywhere else. The large garden is great for exercising the dog but beware the gate is never closed so you need to keep a close eye out. The place would benefit from an owners book like most other cottages have, giving you details of the local area, contact numbers for doctors etc and details on how to use the various appliances. All in all it provides an adequate base for exploring cornwall due to its central location.
Deborah from Folkestone (13 September 2014)

Great location and beautiful gardens. cottage was very damp. When we lit the fire, smoke filled the room setting off the smoke alarm.
Jenny from Worcestershire (30 August 2014)

The cottage smelt of damp and unworn clothes were actually damp to the touch and that had been stored in the wardrobe during our stay. The cottage had no natural light at all and was dark and glum due to the overgrowing trees all around it, and lights needed to be kept on at all times which was depressing. The storage heaters made no impact at all and this was in august. No welcoming note left in cottage and no instructions on how to use the electric cooker,( we have gas at home). gardens were excellent but I have to mark the accomodation down due to the dampness and lack of natural light .
Tony from Lancashire (23 August 2014)

The cottage was very clean and was plenty big enough for two people and a dog. the noise from the main road was bad. the cottage is under very big trees and this made the cottage very dark, we needed lights on even though it was brilliant sunshine outside. it also made the cottage feel very damp. . lovely location they could just do with cutting some of the large trees away from the property. gardens were absolutely beautiful and our dig enjoyed having rabbits to chase.
Anita from Worcester (21 June 2014)

Lovely cottage the dogs loved it the grounds was amazing and the woods for a good morning walk all in all a great. Week thanks
Geri from Oxford (10 May 2014)

Excellent decision to go out of season, especially as all beaches and some venues were dog friendly. cottage was great for exploring different areas of cornwall. lots of bunnies that the dogs wanted to "make friends" with. grounds were beautiful. Log burner was an added bonus. Only downside was single glazing made traffic on main road pretty noisy but wouldn't put me off staying there again.
Samantha from Maidstone, Kent (29 March 2014)

Lovely loation & ideal for dog walking.ideal if you want a peacefull holiday although quitr close to a main road but not too noisy.
Geoffrey from Stafford (07 September 2013)

Beautiful gardens
Steve from Northampton (13 Jul 2013)

Good location close to everything by car, good value for money. Great log fire! garden is amazing huge and dogs loved running about
James from Widnes (11 May 2013)

Large enclosed garden great for dogs, good local walk ways around tin mines, woodland and countryside, great base for visiting the rest of south cornwall friendly local pub. . . . .
Jane from Wakefield (09 March 2013)

Excellent location for day trips and the grounds are lovely.
Henry from Salisbury (22 September 2012)

Very good reception and support
Philip from Melksham (01 September 2012)

Clean, quite, dog friendly. Very close to good dog friendly beaches, Porthowen especially, local eating out. Main shops bit farther away but not a problem. Would recommend to anyone (plenty of grounds for children to explore).
Customer 31 (October 2011)

Lovely Summer House. Really enjoyed walking in the grounds. Great for the dog! Very central location. Needed to walk a way to off load luggage tho.
Customer 32 (October 2011)
