Beautiful clean and well equipped cottage. The fact that it was in such a stunning and peaceful location meant that you mostly needed a car for a short drive to enjoy local amenities. an ideal base for exploring the norfolk coastline. our dog was also welcomed on many of our outings. we will be recommending the stables to our family and friends. Maria from Sevenoaks (04 August 2017)
Lovely accomadation,. perfect location for exploring norfolk. Anita from Leicester (21 July 2017)
Had a great time staying at the stables. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring. North norfolk coast. It is within easy reach of cromer and the local beaches. Our. Dog alfie enjoyed bacton woods and running free on the local beaches within the restricted areas. A enjoyable time had by all. Valued Customer from Brentwood (23 June 2017)
We could not fault the stables, it was nicely locate easy which to many outstanding places to visit. unfortunately at the time of booking and going from the pictures. there was no mention of three steep steps leading into the property as photographs show the back of the property where there is no entrance. there was also no mention of a gravel drive. although the owner was extremely apologetic and helpful. this property is not in my opinion suitable for individuals with poor mobility due to the steps etc. Stella from Spalding (09 June 2017)
Lovely place to spend a short holiday, the stables are equipped with everything you'll need and a short drive from local amenities. The owners are very welcoming and have supplied useful info on the local area in the property. . as others have said, the mobile signals are a bit patchy but that is norfolk, wifi in the property is good. We would definitely like to stay here again. David from Cheshunt (15 May 2017)
The owner was very welcoming and put together a guide + collection of leaflets on activities in the area. The stables is a lovely cottage with compact rooms. Most of the provisions were very good from kitchen stuff, bluray player & dvds, feather beddings, rain shower, satellite tv and wifi etc. Could do with a nicer, more comfortable couch to lounge on (or watch movies) however, if planning to be out and about all day, then it's no issue. Wifi signal is patchy and mobile signal is practically non-existent so check with mobile provider if this is an important aspect. Otherwise, a perfect getaway! a car is essential whether you're picking up milk or going to the nearest beach. multiple sandy beaches easily reached within a few miles drive e.g bacton, mundesley and overstrand. North walsham has supermarkets like lidl and waitrose and this is only about 10 minutes away from the property. Vicky from Cambridge (17 February 2017)
Attractive small cottage created from an interesting barn conversion. . we had a great few days. Peaceful location with countryside pretty much on the doorstep. Alison from Cambridge (28 October 2016)
Just what we needed at the end of the year , peaceful and quiet Nigel from Tadley (21 October 2016)
Well equipped and well appointed cottage. we had an aged mother with us and the flat surfaces made it easy for her to get about. everything was there that could be needed and the owners were there but not intrusive. only downs were just comfort things, double bed, and a huge duvet phew!!! sofa and chair had certainly seen better days and backs suffered. good place and would go back . Customer 9 from Woodbridge (23 September 2016)
Excellent, just so sorry we had to leave earlier than we expected. Neil from Harrogate (16 September 2016)
A comfortable well equipped cottage, located in a good area for exploring the surrounding countryside. Victoria from Surrey (26 August 2016)
Beautiful location and well equipped cottage.owners really helpful and accommodating. Beaches close by , and access to a variety of lovely places to visit. Dog friendly. Highly recommended. Debbie from Birmingham (12 August 2016)
Nice place to stay. Would not go back as could not leave dog unattended we have always been able to before. This was not mentioned only in very small print not in the main holiday details. dog friendly should be doing friendly Confirmed Guest (15 July 2016)
Lovely cottage with a pretty garden. Out in the countryside so ideal for a relaxing stay. Norfolk suffers badly from a very poor mobile network infrastructure which could be ideal if you want to go 'off grid'. internet is pretty poor too. Beautiful part of the country though, and the cottage owners went to a lot of trouble to ensure we had everything we needed. Ken from Bonnybridge (11 July 2016)
A beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location and well placed to visit many places of interest, including the north sea coast and beaches and many national trust properties. ideal for the dog also, with a lovely enclosed parking area and garden. the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. the owners who live close at hand were also very welcoming and helpful. David from Ivybridge, Devon (01 July 2016)
We stayed here for a week in june 2016 with our dog…wow…what a lovely cottage, well appointed with all that you could need for a very restful, relaxing and cosy stay. . the owners who live on site were very helpful but not intrusive…. would definitely come again (and in fact we are…. we return in october 2016 for another weeks stay). Michael from Higham Ferrers (24 June 2016)
This was our 2nd stay at the stables, wonderful cottage, clean and amazing attention to detail, lovely private garden which we actually were able to use as the weather was brilliant. Claire from Chelmsford (10 June 2016)
Location and the stables were great. Owners ray and fionna charming and v. Helpful. Esy to get to lovely places to visit. . . I would not recommend the cottage to old people as the access gave some problems . but having said that it would be great for mobile younger parties. Frank from Ely (13 May 2016)
Everything was wonderful about the cottage, we loved having a week away exploring the nearby coast and countryside. we had everything we needed and it was a real home from home with the doggies along for the fun! a big thank you all round! Abi from Bedford (22 April 2016)
Great cottage with everything you need and nicely appointed. Owners on site and very helpful. All the shops you need in town 4 miles away. Lots of brilliant beaches and walks close by and nt properties to visit. Dog friendly to boot - would strongly recommend! David from Newark (25 March 2016)
This cottage is beautifully converted and furnished and in a delightful location. However the picture is misleading as the image shown is actually the back of the property and is directly overlooked by the owner's house. The peaceful weekend break we were envisaging was constantly interrupted by their comings and goings. We felt on show all the time which is not something we have experienced in any of the other cottages we have enjoyed staying in. Confirmed Guest (14 March 2016)
Excellent location, could not fault the cottage in any way. The hosts were on hand to help should there have been any problems but we didn't have any. Claire from Chelmsford (23 October 2015)
This was a great holiday plenty of country walks for the dogs and wonderful sandy beaches. The accommodation was excellent. good food at the local pubs! Avril from Ipswich (02 October 2015)
We have just come back from a week in the cottage and it was lovely. the cottage was modern inside with character and was well equipped, and just a short drive from some amazing beaches. Would definitely recommend the cottage and would stay again. Sharron from Ipswich (18 September 2015)
Would & have recommended the property to other people. Neil from Taunton (28 August 2015)
This was a lovely cottage, set in quite norfolk countryside but ideal to get out and explore. We went to the beaches, norwich, raf, museum. . . the cottage was beautiful , ray was really helpful, we even saw ray chic i'm en, turkeys and duck. Lovely I would recommend this cottage Adrian from Rochester (07 August 2015)
We had a lovely time at the stables. the garden was secure for our dogs and the owners very friendly. the only problem was that all of the pillows and duvets were made from feathers - this was difficult because of my allergies. everywhere else we have stayed have had hypo-allergenic bedding. Jones from Bury St Edmunds (29 June 2015)
Great location. Perfect size for us with internet and the full sky+ package so I could even keep tabs on the test match. Beautifully clean and furnished with better kitchen appliances than we have at home! owners friendly and helpful and usually on hand to assist if required. If there is one small gripe, it is that there is no direct access from the cottage into the enclosed garden, so we couldn't leave a door open for the puppy to go in and out as he pleased. But that's being picky. We loved it. Neil from Billericay, Essex (22 May 2015)
We were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation - it was modern, well equipped and clean with a great bathroom. It served as a good base to explore norfolk. We would recommend it to anyone. The only negative was that the wi-fi was not very good which made planning our day trips more difficult but there were plenty of leaflets on the surrounding area. Customer 29 from Reading (10 April 2015)
The stables was ideal for us. very well converted from its original use as a barn, and in a perfect location - beautifully quiet, but close to all the necessary facilities. nice secure garden area for our dog mungo, who used to enjoy saying hello to our hosts' dogs next door! we were within easy driving distance from the places we wanted to visit. altogether a most enjoyable holiday, and we would certainly return to the stables. Geraldine from Chorleywood (27 March 2015)
Fabulous, well-equipped cottage in a superb location. The owners were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Great places for dog-walking nearby. Joanne from Barton-Le-Clay (31 October 2014)
Very nice location. One thing we found difficult was the steps up into the property, it would be better if a grab rail was installed. In all would consider going again. Lucas from Nottingham (26 September 2014)
The owner's were very friendly and helpfull, especially when we had a punture, ray drove to n.walsham with us to find a tyre depot. Richard from Holcombe, Nr Bath (19 September 2014)
The big disappointment was that the photo on the brochure showed outside seating in front of french windows on a sunny patio. In reality this is not possible as this area is part of the the owners parking area. The guest . garden is on the shady side and one has to go through a separate gate to reach it, i.e. It's not easy access from the entrance. The property is small for a family of 4 the kitchen is too narrow to accommodate the dinning table that has to be folded away between meals to allow breathing space in the sitting area. Otherwise the accommodation was clean and furnished to a good standard. Roger from Worcestershire (29 August 2014)
Lovely holiday and lovely cottage, yes the lounge is on the small side but we managed to fit in 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The wifi and satellite tv came in handy for the boys. The garden is enclosed and ideal for sitting in with the dog. Easy to find and great location for touring around the coast and the broads. Lovely welcome from the owners and would definitely recommend this cottage. Penny from Peterborough (01 August 2014)
A beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. The most comfortable bed we have slept in! very peaceful location and the owner was very helpful. Would stay again for sure. Love norfolk and it's very dog friendly. Pippa from Sidcup (25 July 2014)
Very clean, safe and comfortable with first class amenities ie. Wi-fi, sky hd+, soft fluffy towels lovely bathroom, kitchen etc and oooh very comfy bed! Glenis from Barnsley (11 July 2014)
We wouldn't recommand this property for a party of 4 adults, the living room/ diner is quit small. Wilma from Gouda, Holland (02 May 2014)
Owners very friendly and helpful Confirmed Purchaser (28 March 2014)
Lounge chairs uncomfortable. Heating system a pain in the butt Barry from Newton Abbot (01 November 2013)
Lovely cottage, just the 2 of us plus 2 dogs so perfect. Much to explore would love to go back again. Owners next door very helpful but only there if you need them. Carol from Milton Keynes (18 October 2013)
Lovely cottage with a good dog friendly garden.good walks nearby and wonderful beaches.will certainly return. Mary from Wickford Essex (14 October 2013)
Spot on ,well presented and well equipped dog friendly property in a lovely quiet location, the owners are on hand and were very welcoming and helpful , Matt from Towcester Northants (04 October 2013)
Excellent cottage - clean, tidy and well equipped. There were only 2 of us but 4 adults may have been cramped in the lounge at night. beds very comfy. good central heating. Excellent for the dog - fully enclosed and safe garden + walks from the door up footpaths and quiet lanes. she thought she was in heaven when she found frogs in the garden. Kaye from Shropshire (13 September 2013)
Beautiful cottage. extremely well equipped with everything you might need. Beautifully furnished, it was so refreshing to stay in a cottage that didn't feel like a second hand furniture store. the owners were really friendly and very helpful. We have already recommended the stables to friends and family. the only thing that came as a surprise to us was the fact that we couldn't leave our little dog in the cottage unattended, we did understand why, but would have liked to have known before we booked. the owners did however look after our dog on a day out that we couldn't take her with us and we would certainly go back to the stables. Tracey from Chelmsford (02 August 2013)
Location, ideal base to explore norfolk from. Nicely decorated barn conversion and the garden is safe to let your dog run around. Ron from Hanslope (07 Jun 2013)
Cosy and comfortable with first class fittings and furnishings - especially as this is dog friendly. nice garden space a on a quiet back road. Doug from Haddenham (17 May 2013)
Everything Dorothy from Grantham (26 April 2013)
A lovely place to stay with all mod cons,. . the owners have done a great job this really is a great holiday get away from it all place. . lots of things to do and see locally great all year round I would imagine . . I would highly recommend :-) Michael from Henley On Thames (29 March 2013)
Great location ideal for exploring. Stephen from Burton-On-Trent (28 September 2012)
Well equipped and very comfortable. The enclosed garden was a distinct asset. John from Jedburgh (21 September 2012)
Within easy driving of beaches and places to visit. Comfortable beds. Helpful hosts. Had everything we needed. Avril from Birmingham (07 September 2012)
Excellent standard of accommodation, home from home. All we needed was available and presented in an extremely professional manner. The enclosed garden enabled us to let our dog play without fear of him wandering onto to the adjacent quiet lane. The owners were friendly and welcoming providing us with valuable information about the local area and seaside resorts. The setting and countryside was great for walking with our labrador dog. The peace and tranquillity made our holiday all the more enjoyable. Customer 53 (September 2012)
Beautiful cottage, with all home comforts, friendly, helpful owners, lovely place to stay. Customer 54 (July 2012)
The cottage was clean, comfortable and peaceful. The owners who were on the site were very helpful. Good walks and many places to visit. Customer 55 (June 2012)
The cottage was in a lovely quiet setting. We took our dog with us and there were lots of lovely walks on the door step. The owners live in the property next door and were really helpful with information of the local places to visit etc. Customer 57 (May 2012)
Excellent position for doggy walks, both in woods and on the sea shore. Sainsbury near by to ensure you can topup on the little luxeries. The owner has now installed sky, so staying in at night with the dogs was no issues. Highly recommended. Customer 58 (May 2012)
Helpful owners, good accommodation, good directions for getting there. Satellite tv was a real bonus, quiet garden area. If you use the train on a weekday, then park in town and walk to the station. Easy access to many places of interest including the coast. Customer 59 (March 2012)
We could not have had a more relaxing and enjoyable time in Norfolk. The Stables is beautiful, modern finishings but with exposed beams, beautiful floors and tasteful tailoring. We went with two little Jack Russell pups who loved it too, especially when the owners so kindly put down chicken wire to the enclosed garden so they wouldn’t escape. We were lucky enough to be the second people to stay at the stables and we would go back in a heart beat! Customer 60 (July 2011)
The Stables is a very well finsihed barn conversion. It is in a great location, right on a quiet lane which leads to many others. This allows walking from the house in a lovely area. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The garden is fully enclosed so ideal if you are taking dogs. Customer 61 (July 2011)
