This was a very well appointed cottage in a brilliant location. Only 5 minutes walk from sheringham town centre. If you are a steam enthusiast a railway line is at the bottom of the garden. Excellent holiday location. Simon (11 August 2017)
Lovely time at the sidings - really enjoyed seeing the steam train every day. One of the best holiday homes we've stayed in. Elizabeth (28 July 2017)
Some people have fairies at the bottom of their garden and we had steam trains for a week! we have stayed in sheringham many times and are please to say that this is one of the best properties we have rented both there and throughout the uk. Looking forward to another visit to the sidings already. Mollie from Doncaster (09 June 2017)
Lovely place to stay and will return again. Phil from Worthing West Sussex (26 May 2017)
Lovely clean cottage with all amenities with in walking distance a great place to stay highly recommend for a break George from Herts (21 April 2017)
We had a lovely stay here in april 2017. The cottage was clean and immaculately decorated on the inside, the location was excellent for getting around, walking distance to the beach and the town centre. The owners were very accommodating, as we cook a lot indoors we asked for an extra pan which was very useful. There is 6 of everything that you would need in the kitchen (it would benefit from some more though as it meant we had to ensure that we washed up each time and we couldn't keep left overs on the plates for use later without being without a plate for someone). the beds were super clean and comfortable, the children ended up with the ensuite though as this is where the twin beds were. Overall we had a great stay with some great weather. The train passes at the end of the garden which was great to watch. Sarah (14 April 2017)
Lovely cottage, in a fantastic location. Would highly recommend. Alison from Cambridgeshire (07 April 2017)
This property is ideally situated for walking into sheringham and close to many attractions around north norfolk. The sidings is a high quality property and has everything you could wish for. This is our second visit and we look forward to going again next year. Barbara from Downham Market (31 March 2017)
The sidings is a lovely, very well equipped bungalow with good furnishings. we only moved the car once as the beach, shops and coastal walks were all close by. Although we have been holidaying in and around this area for many years, it was our first visit to 'the sidings' but we have already booked again for next year. Lynn from Nottinghamshire (17 March 2017)
Lovely well equipped cottage with a lovely secure garden for the dogs. we enjoyed a lovely week staying at the sidings, well positioned for exploring the north norfolk coast and close to the town to walk out of an evening to enjoy the many restaurants and pubs. Deborah from Lowestoft (24 February 2017)
Property was lovely, very comfortable and convenient Susan from Chesterfield (03 February 2017)
Very good holiday bungalow! David from March (27 January 2017)
Very well equipped and laid out for easy use. No carpets to trip over. Easy to find and parking on site although rough stones so no wheelchair or buggy friendly outside. Would be nice to have a freezer inside the house for inclement weather but not an issue if eating out a lot. Ruth from Nuneaton (04 November 2016)
Lovely warm, comfortable, clean accommodation. Loads of space for my family. Couldn't fault it. Owner popped by to check all was well. . my son loved the poppy line trains passing at the bottom of the garden. . will definitely book again when we visit our friends next time. Michelle from Devon (28 October 2016)
A clean and very comfortable bungalow. Easy walking distance to shops and the beach. Sheringham is a great little town and a great base to explore the rest of norfolk. Wine and chocolates on arrival made us feel very welcome. treats left for the dog made sure he was welcome too. Jane from Sheringham (21 October 2016)
First class Confirmed Guest (07 October 2016)
Lovely bungalow well located clean and comfortable and really nice friendly owners everything thought of Jacky from Southampton (30 September 2016)
The bungalow is delightful - very comfortable, clean and it has everything needed. Attention to detail in terms of things to use is exceptional. the position is good for the train station, the high street and the beach is about a 5 to 10 minute walk. Jenny from King'S Lynn (02 September 2016)
Brilliant. Stuart from Selby (29 July 2016)
Excellent location for golf and walking, close to the lovely sheringham golf club. Town centre and promenade in walking distance as is the north norfolk railway which runs steam trains up and down the coast. Sheringham park is well worth a visit with lovely walks and rhododendrons in magnificent array. Martyn from Southport (27 May 2016)
The cottage was very nice, very comfortable and had all mod cons for a really. Enjoyable holiday. ideally located for visiting other tourist attractions, such as. Cromer, wells and burham market. a nice trip out is a boat trip to see the seals. At blakeney point and also a visit to sheringham park is ideal for walkers. also. A trip on the miniture railway from wells to walsingham is something different. Ann from March (20 May 2016)
One of the best cottages we've stayed in. The bungalow is tastefully decorated throughout and to a very high standard. it is convenient for the local shops and for visiting the surrounding area. an added bonus is to see the 'poppy line' steam trains go by the bottom of the garden. I would definitely stay there again. Brenda from Henlow Bedfordshire (29 April 2016)
The bungalow is equipped to a very high standard, very clean and welcoming. . this was by far the best "holiday cottage" we have rented. . it is very well placed to walk into sheringham. Barbara from Downham Market (22 April 2016)
We had a lovely family holiday for a week in april. the bungalow was beautifully clean with lots of space for my husband and i, our daughter and husband and two little boys. great facilities. would suggest more pots and pans for cooking as we were an extended family and cooked a lot of our meals. amazing time and we would hope to book again in the future. thank you! Pauline from Wigston (15 April 2016)
Well equipped and clean. Great location, really enjoyed our stay. Rob from Leicester (08 April 2016)
Great holiday cottage, with everything you could want and need. Children loved the steam train at the end of the back garden, a beautiful sight daily and definitely worth a trip on. We would, without a doubt come back to this comfortable home from home. Mandie from Chislehurst (01 April 2016)
A most enjoyable holiday in this spacious, comfortable and well equipped bungalow. in a prime location too within walking distance of sheringham town centre. Janet from Nottingham (18 March 2016)
Absolutely loved our stay at the sidings! many thanks to our hosts who left us treats on our arrival this is not a complaint but we did find having to be out by 10am prompt on the day of our departure a little early and certainly a rush. thanks again for a lovely winter break. mark x Mark from Ampthill (04 March 2016)
Excellent home from home Rick from Haverhill (26 February 2016)
Fantastic location ,steam train a real treat. Lovely property. Very comfortablcomfortable. Dogs absolutely loved it. Good walks. Did not need to use the car as everything on door step Linda from Desborough (03 January 2016)
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the sidings and would definitely rebook it if we return to the area. the standard of the facilities is very high and it is execptionally clean. The only minor downside for us was that our dogs were able to get under the driveway gate and on one occasion managed to get halfway down the neighbours driveway! luckily we were keeping an eye on them and got to them before they caused any mischief. That aside we would definitely recommend the sidings - you won't be disappointed. Chris from Bracknell (14 December 2015)
Top quality cottage in a lovely seaside town would love to use again Mark from Norwich (05 November 2015)
Could do with one more easy chair in lounge also t.v screen not quite big enough. great place to stop very comfortable and clean would certainly go again. Great location. Barbara from Swineshead Boston Lincs (02 November 2015)
Lovely cottage great location, we had a really nice stay. Denis from Tunbridge Wells (30 October 2015)
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at sheringham based at the sidings. The only missing thing was the weather!! brilliant!! Chris from Broadstone, Dorset (16 October 2015)
Excellent accomodation and very caring owners! Tom from Wombwell (09 October 2015)
Fantastic venue, the bungalow was ideal for our two elderly mothers. Handy for the town centre only a few minutes walk away. Steam railway at the bottom of the garden a bonus. Paul from Quorn (02 October 2015)
A nice bungalow with every thing you need for a relaxing holiday suitable for the not quit mobile Confirmed Guest (25 September 2015)
I can't recommend this holiday home enough! it is big and spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. the kitchen/diner is lovely, it overlooks the garden and the steam train goes by every day! the walk to sheringham high street is less than 5 minutes and the seafront is about 10 minutes. sheringham park (national trust) is a five minute drive away (£5 .00 parking). . if you meet the owners while you are there, they are really friendly and helpful. . the only suggestion I would make with this property would be to perhaps put a television in one of the bedrooms for the children. Yvonne from Southend On Sea (04 September 2015)
We chose "the sidings" because of location, set back from a main road we were never bothered by traffic noise, local "spar" shop almost next door, with the town and beach about a 15 minute walk. Very recently refurbished and redecorated, comfortable lounge, good sized kitchen and dining area, very nice bedrooms, clean bathrooms. An excellent holiday cottage. The poppyline sidings are at the bottom of the garden, a low fence gives an excellent view of the main line, as long as the sidings are clear. We've stayed in quite a few cottages now and all have been good, but, the sidings together with its location, and the poppyline, has been the best, we would have stayed again next year but its already booked. Dave from Bristol (28 August 2015)
